"Best IDE out there!"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

VS Code is the OG in my opinion there is a lot of features every version (around every 1 month or so).

It's really easy to customize and the short keys are incredible, even when using other IDEs I always choose the option to import the VS code short keys as they really easy to remember.

One more thing I really love about it comparing to other IDEs - it is super lightweight! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

2 really bad thing I've encountered:

1. It is really difficult to generate test config even after watching several tutorials still did not succeed to create one that actually work.

2. the need to restart the IDE for every extension update - driving me crazy! for their defense, I'd say lately it happens a lot less. even though it's quick it's annoying. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Perfect Customisable Scalable IDE"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I use VS Code for programming in web dev environment. FTP clients like WinSCP and FileZilla work with standard text editor. Not ideal. Visual Studio has a SFTP extension that lets me easily connect to my server.

The syntax highlighting, quick shortcut, file managing, and all is quite easy. Love it. As a programmer the dark UI, and the overall tools are quite helpful.

In addition, I really love how they are able to open same file in parralel to access different sections of code. Split screen to access and read multiple files side by side is real cool.

Autosave is a blessing for every one! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

I hate the File Transfer capabilities. While I can easily ACCESS files and code them. I cannot easily UPLOAD files.

There is no extensions or core support to upload files to my server via their SFTP capabilities. In addition, I observe their uploading speed/performance is slightly inferior, though still comparable to conventional FTP clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful but lightweight code editor"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

First is the being light weight of the code editor but still powerful with the help of extension. You can throw any programming language and code like a pro of course with the help of extension. 2nd is themming setup it environment according to your taste. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

highly depentend on the extension. some of the extension release latest version with bug you need some googling which version to install that has less bug.

also, i don't found extension function like intellisense of phpstorm which has ability to suggest funtion from imported/extended class which in different file. this may also experience in other language not only in php. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
