"Rich Extensions, Easy Setup, Slight Configuration Overwhelm"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I like the simplicity of Visual Studio Code, yet it has a lot of feature-rich extensions. There's an extension for everything, regardless of the technology or task, which can help speed up or solve problems. The initial setup is pretty easy—I've tried installing it on Windows and Mac, and it's just very straightforward. I mostly use Visual Studio Code for development, and its integrated terminal is helpful as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Sometimes, it's difficult for me to configure settings in Visual Studio Code. It can feel overwhelming at times to configure them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Versatile, User-Friendly with Minor Performance Hiccups"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I use Visual Studio Code daily for writing Python scripts and data cleaning, and I love the extension library because it lets me add tools for Python and SQL, making my work easy. The ability to run Jupyter Notebook and see SQL results right inside the editor saves me time by not having to open other programs. I also find the initial setup simple and easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

If I have too many extensions or large data files open at once, it feels lag. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Visual Studio Code Review"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Visual studio is amazing for development and maintaining pipelines. It is easy to use and works well with multiple coding languages which allows us to develop end to end solution in one code editor. The ai features are really good as well Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

The platform doesn’t have features to manage azure and pipelines in the free version. It could have a bit more stability and recoverability Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Best Free Code Editor Available"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I appreciate using Visual Studio Code because it is simple, fast, and easy to navigate. The editor supports writing all kinds of code, lets you add helpful extensions, and enables you to run commands or handle Git operations right inside the program. It also helps you quickly identify and fix mistakes, and you can personalize the theme or layout to match your style. Since it runs on any computer, it truly simplifies the coding workflow and makes programming a more enjoyable experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

As a beginner, I found that setting up Visual Studio Code can be somewhat challenging due to the sheer number of available options and extensions. It often takes a while to configure everything to your liking. Additionally, installing too many extensions can cause the program to start up more slowly, which can be frustrating when you're eager to begin working. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
