What do you like best about Unily?

Unily has proven to be an exceptionally valuable platform for our internal communications. It excels at effectively cascading leadership messages across the organization, ensuring alignment and engagement. Initially recommended by a service provider, Unily was selected after thorough research and analysis—and it met our requirements perfectly. The setup process was smooth and exceeded expectations, thanks to its intuitive design. The user interface is thoughtfully crafted, making navigation across pages and applications seamless. Unily enables dynamic and easy content publishing, which aligns well with our need for a non-static, engaging platform. I’m particularly impressed by its capabilities in broadcasting, tracking user journeys, and leveraging data for informed decision-making. The platform offers a rich feature set, including a user-friendly CMS, robust media management, audience targeting, and strong security protocols. Features like the ideation portal and advanced reporting tools further enhance its value. Integration with other software and CRM systems is another standout, allowing us to work efficiently across platforms. What do you dislike about Unily?

While Unily offers many strengths, I find the placement and limitations of its reconfigurable components—referred to as 'widget'—to be somewhat restrictive. Their proprietary nature feels overly closed, which can limit flexibility and customization. There’s a clear need for more seamless navigation and broader integration capabilities with various applications, like SAP, CRM, ERP and many more. Additionally, simplifying the development process would be a significant improvement. Opening up these components could unlock a wider range of use cases, extending beyond narrowly defined target audiences. What do you like best about Unily?

We find Unily to be an excellent all-round employee experience platform (EXP). Unily provides a good range of very useful tools to help engage and communicate with employees, from a broadcast/emailer tool, AI features for both users and admins, campaign management, employee journeys, governance, social features/enterprise social networks, mobile app, news, search, analytics, as well as more traditional intranet-style sites and pages - all with modern, good-looking and intuitive user interface. It integrates with our Microsoft suite so that it doesn't feel separate from our other tools. The CMS is very easy for everyday content creation, and there is a good amount of flexibility in design and application of company brand. The user support is very good, with dedicated customer success managers, a responsive technical support team and an excellent site for client resources and help, including regular best practice calls. There is dedicated onboarding support when first implementing your Unily EXP to get everything set up. The team are keen to keep innovating and growing the employee experience. What do you dislike about Unily?

There aren't many things! Analytics could be better (though this is being actively tackled). CMS permissioning is a little complicated. Sometimes it feels the focus can be more on the big-ticket developments rather than ironing out the small-but-important things such as providing more flexibility in the design and configuration of some everyday platform elements - but this is also improving. What do you like best about Unily?

What do you dislike about Unily?

Unily is a very good partner, and I appreciate the way we move forward with our demands.

As a point of improvement, I would suggest having a clear information in the contract about the licensing modeling and include some CIP hours in the contract to support the companies with extra needs.

I would also suggest including in the agreements support hours, this will keep the WOW faster and about the companies to spend hours reading the articles and understanding how to implement /update solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Unily?

I cannot say enough about the team behind the platform. They are constantly using customer feedback to iterate and improve the user experience. We have support from both our CSM and TSM, plus the terrific customer support team that handles tickets. I also like how we can tailor our permissions for content creators. Using Views, System Settings, and the Developer tool to introduce customizations to sites, pages, widgets, and the overall experience for our employees is a big plus. What do you like best about Unily?

I really appreciate the pace of updates from Unily and the quality of their customer support. They take our feedback seriously, and through ideation, we can see that feedback brought to life in their regular updates throughout the year. The implementation process was both thorough and easy to navigate. With the wide range of features and widgets available, we can customize our pages extensively, and the drag-and-drop system makes it all incredibly simple to use. What do you dislike about Unily?

I don’t necessarily dislike anything, but I do feel that the social features on Unily could be easier to use and implement. I’d also love to see content creation on the front end become more user-friendly. Having multiple 'create' buttons for different content types makes the page look cluttered. The support we receive is unmatched! We meet with our CMS biweekly and receive metrics, updates on new features coming and we work together on continuous improvement goals for the year. With a broad range of features, we are able to ensure our employees have access to the news, resources and tools they need to succeed, while making it easy for our team to manage content. What do you dislike about Unily?

At the moment, there is an inconsistency with widget appearances (text size, style, placement, etc.) between older and newer widgets that make things look disconnected. However, Unily has said they have plans to fix this, which will be very helpful.
