**What do you like best about TeamOhana?**

We've used TeamOhana for 2+ years and are happy with what the solution has provided for our HR and Finance teams with respect to headcount planning, tracking, and reconciling the finances of it. The tool allowed us to remove several heavy Sheets from our process, and we've renewed it 2x. We have not yet explored their compensation process product

Best Features:
- CEO and CoS access within minutes (often quicker) whenever we have questions or product issues arise. Their customer support in quality and timeliness is A-tier.
- The new UI is clean, modern, and very intuitive. 
- All feature enhancements we suggest are quickly considered and either implemented, roadmapped, or explained why they cannot pursue them at this time. We had a critical business process and the team happily added it to the renewal contract, and is currently implementing the solution with a dedicated resource. The team is small enough that they can be agile and extremely quick
- Security settings by role/person/etc. are supported all the way to the Field-level, which is necessary with compensation and headcount data.

**What do you dislike about TeamOhana?**

TeamOhana is growing (quickly), and with that comes natural trade-off decisions. Their team needs to iterate at the speed of sound, address the business needs of SMB/MM and enterprise clients, which are often targeting different outcomes and scales. I would suggest that the TO team prioritizes:

- Admin controls and direct self-service ownership features, ex. with the ability to do bulk imports and exports of their job catalog data.
- There are bugs that will always come up, and we've seen a few with TO. On the bright side, they are extraordinarily quick and comprehensive in resolving them.
- They don't currently have a Status/uptime page that I am aware of, tying back to admin controls.

**What problems is TeamOhana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TeamOhana is solving an extraordinarily challenging problem, and that is the single shared workspace for Finance, People, and hiring teams to solve headcount and workforce planning endeavors. TO has enabled us to solve this in a single location.

**What do you like best about TeamOhana?**

TeamOhana has become a core part of our people tech stack. It enables executives, hiring managers, People Business Partners, Finance, and Talent Planning and Acquisition team aligned on hiring!

Things that have been wins for us when using TeamOhana:
- Headcount approvals, hiring tracker, and headcount views empower business leaders to have ownership and confidence over hiring needs for their teams. 
- Compensation and budget features scale up how we support getting necessary information out to Recruiters.
- Ease of adoption and a successful roll out of our first features have our business leaders eagerly anticipating using their budget and scenario features.
- Tracking terminations and transfers enable us to quickly and decisively activate on backfilling key roles.

**What do you dislike about TeamOhana?**

TeamOhana is a growing business. While we have experienced some bugs, the team is quick to action on resolving and implementing product requests. 

Things that would take TeamOhana to the next level are:
- More direct ownership of backend admin features (notification preferences, job catalog updates)
- Customization of how different metrics in the tool are calculated
- Reporting features like scheduling and sending reports and incorporating more recruiting data

**What problems is TeamOhana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TeamOhana has consolidated headcount tracking from 5+ resources to 1. This has saved our Finance and Talent Planning teams hours each week on updating these resources and reconciling discrepancies. 

Above all, TeamOhana is keeping our executives, hiring managers, People Business Partners, Finance, and Talent Planning and Acquisition team aligned on hiring!

**What do you like best about TeamOhana?**

We've been using TeamOhana for over a year now and it's had a real impact on how our team manages headcount planning. What sets them apart is their customer service — they're a lean team, but you'd never know it by how attentive and helpful they are. Highly recommend for any team looking to bring more clarity and efficiency to their workforce planning process.

There's a bit of a learning curve when first getting set up, but the TeamOhana support team is quick to help you get oriented. As with any growing product, there are occasional feature gaps, but they're clearly listening to customer feedback and continuously improving.

TeamOhana has brought much-needed structure and visibility to our headcount planning process. **What do you like best about TeamOhana?**

I used TeamOhana at my previous company to streamline the headcount planning process and make it less manual. It aligns Talent, People, and Finance in one system, allowing us to move away from manual spreadsheets and reducing the amount of cross-functional meetings. This made us more agile and enabled us to see the impact of hiring in real-time. I liked the platform and having a view of hiring data that all departments could understand. The support from their leadership team, especially from Tushar, the founder and CEO, was appreciated. Additionally, I enjoyed the real-time data, automation, AI, and the ability to streamline a complex process.

**What do you dislike about TeamOhana?**

The implementation is timely and complex. This was mainly due to us needing to rethink our entire process, sync several complex systems like our HRIS and Finance system and a lot of the TeamOhana team was new at the time. It's on the more complex side since we were implementing Pigment and HiBob at the same time.

**What do you like best about TeamOhana?**

We like the flexibility of TeamOhana, especially being able to create scenarios and provide different access levels to users for centralized headcount planning. We appreciate how we can visualize our evolving team structures and track our charges over time using audit trails. The approval flow that requires finance to sign off on changes is something we find useful to ensure this gets updated in our financial model. We love the ability to reconcile our HR system and applicant tracking system, ensuring all records are updated.

**What do you dislike about TeamOhana?**

With any new software, there are certain bugs that still need to be worked out. We would love to see better reporting in the long run that combine recruitment and finance metrics together as well as continued use of AI insights.

**What problems is TeamOhana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use TeamOhana for headcount management, tracking recruitment essentially like a sales pipeline. It solves manual reconciliation issues, centralizing hiring plans and providing scenario planning. It offers user visibility and ensures everyone is aligned with hiring plans and daily changes.

**What do you like best about TeamOhana?**

I really like that TeamOhana is user friendly and easily customizable. It has resolved issues I previously faced with messy spreadsheets and version control. The tool is dynamic and collaborative, providing the most up-to-date information to all users, so there's no information delay based on who accesses it. The AI start date predictor is a solid addition for more accurate headcount forecasting. The scenario planning module is particularly helpful during annual planning or long-range planning cycles, facilitating collaboration across different departments where headcount might be a shared resource or have interdependencies. Being able to plan for multiple scenarios or business cases (i.e. high, medium, low) and pushing those through to the live mode with just a few clicks makes it much easier to manage planning cycles amidst uncertainties.

**What do you dislike about TeamOhana?**

With so much information available in the tool, I think reporting can be improved through advanced filters and the ability to build custom reports.

**What problems is TeamOhana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I no longer deal with messy spreadsheets and version control issues. I no longer have to rely on manual updates from the TA team on the hiring status of roles, since it's all automatically updated within the tool for my viewing. Business Unit heads now have access to view all their headcount in one place, without having to reach out to multiple people for a status update.

TeamOhana solves the problem I've had at every company I've worked for:

- Allowing Finance and HR stay in sync with budgeted and approved headcount
- Approval workflows to make sure everyone is on the same page and approving new hire requests
- Managing employee backfills
- Allowing what-if scenarios to allow Finance and hiring managers to see the financial impact of making changes to a hiring plan
- Seeing an organization chart with future hires

**What do you dislike about TeamOhana?**

There were issues with integration between Lever and Ashby that need to be refined.

One issues from an implementation standpoint is user adoption. TeamOhana is a great tool, but is another piece in a company's tech stack that needs to be accessed.

The problem TeamOhana solves is giving a single source of truth for approved budgeted headcount, active job openings, and management oversight and approval. Not more Slack, email, phone calls like in the past.

**What do you like best about TeamOhana?**

I love the forecasting accuracy of TeamOhana, which helps me track current and forecasted headcounts and live vacancies efficiently. I also appreciate the improved accuracy in forecasting staff costs. The vacancy lifecycle and the visual organization structure make it easy to understand where people sit within the organization. The software offers a complete view with forecast planning and workforce planning, and I appreciate that it allows sharing access across the business while securing sensitive information.

**What do you dislike about TeamOhana?**

I find the initial setup of TeamOhana to be tedious, especially concerning data migration and integration with existing HR/Payroll systems. Another challenge is that TeamOhana currently cannot ingest and display Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) data for part-time employees, which limits the accuracy of representing workforce data. The system treats every employee as 1 FTE, which doesn't reflect the actual workforce structure when part-time employees are involved.

**What problems is TeamOhana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find TeamOhana improves forecasting accuracy, offers a complete view of workforce planning, and effectively tracks headcount and vacancies, enhancing communication and cost management while allowing secured access to sensitive information.

- The team is incredibly responsive to updates, adjusting based on feedback, and bugs
- We fully rely on the reporting to understand how many roles are open, filled, accepted-not-started, and terms
- Hiring Managers are able to see what reqs they have open at any given time
- It's quite easy to manage position IDs and req IDs between TeamOhana and Greenhouse. Overall, the integration works seamlessly

**What do you dislike about TeamOhana?**

- Our process is a mess with a lot of moving pieces. TeamOhana's audit features aren't where they need to be to support a company that's transitioning from being very disorganized to hopefully more organized
- Updating headcount info can be a lit bit slow. it's the waiting milliseconds between clicks that add up making it feel slow. Updating via their scenerio planning feature is good but really only makes sense if you're updating more than 10.

Like any growing platform, there's room for improvement. What stands out most about TeamOhana is the partnership. The team is incredibly responsive, open to feedback, and genuinely invested in understanding our unique needs. They’ve worked with us very collaboratively to design workflows and system setups that actually make sense for how we operate. They also move fast. Customer-requested features are released quickly, and the platform continues to evolve in meaningful ways. On top of that, the integrations, permissioning, and customization options are strong, making it easier to align TA and Finance while maintaining the right level of access and control.

**What do you dislike about TeamOhana?**

There has been some initial confusion on our team around which users should rely on which views (for example, the hiring tracker vs. the headcount ledger), since they often contain the same information presented in different formats. Their team has been very helpful in clarifying this and guiding us, but clearer in-app guidance or differentiation between views would make onboarding and adoption even smoother.

**What problems is TeamOhana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TeamOhana has significantly improved how we collaborate on headcount planning, budgeting, and tradeoff decisions. It provides a centralized, transparent place to track not just headcount numbers, but also the context and discussions behind them. The platform is continuing to build out deeper analytics, which will provide useful insight alongside their upcoming AI agent. As it is another tool, getting manager adoption to go to another spot sometimes is a challenge.

**What do you like best about TeamOhana?**

I've used TeamOhana across 2 organizations now. It is the only tool I've seen that truly lets you create a secure environment for approving openings - which has truly been a game-changer. Their integration with Ashby is almost instantaneous. Also, they are able to seamlessly pull data from HiBob. The customer support they provide is the icing on the cake. They go above and beyond, are responsive, empathetic and genuinely invested in helping us succeed. I'm also always impressed by all the features they roll out - they are always plugging a hole in the market that no one else is.

**What do you dislike about TeamOhana?**

There are occasional challenges with bugs on features that have been released for a while. However, the team is always quick to action and further refine the user experience. Also, certain processes are a bit more manual and I find myself guessing which buttons to click in the platform.

**What problems is TeamOhana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I cannot talk about their approval policies enough. Without TeamOhana, this process would be manual, error-prone, and lead to miscommunications across different layers and stakeholders within the organization. The ability for approvers to approve or deny a role directly in Slack has also enabled momentum to maintain at a high bar. TeamOhana truly eliminates a lot of unnecessary back and forth and keeps everyone aligned during the lifecycle of every headcount.

One area to improve is approval routing. When an approver is out or unable to act, adding a simple delegate/backup approver feature would help prevent bottlenecks and keep work moving

TO is a great dynamic org chart tool that helps connect our recruiting, finance, hiring managers and budget owners at the company. This is great to have it all collected in one platform. 

TO is agile enough that they really aprtner with you to make enhancments that directly effect how we design processes at our company.  I have not worked with too many other vendors that do this.

I always say the TO is the source of truth for what has been budgeted and approved to spend. I say Greenhouse is our source of truth for what has been hired. I would love it if the changes made at hire (GH) were pushed back to the TO and reflected. What recruiter, level, title etc. 

I would also love to see TO offer an interim re-org build-out platform. Take our current org and click over to a sandbox. Once the sandbox is complete and ready to publish, it will be adopted and become our new org chart.

The interface is user-friendly and easy to navigate. Multi-level access accounts also makes it easy for other budget managers to view and toggle with budget scenarios while still limiting full access to company data. 

Additionally, TeamOhana integrates seamlessly with our hiring tool used by HR (Greenhouse) as well as our HRIS system that houses all employee data.

Tushar and team are extremely responsive and provide great support for us to address our needs and help troubleshoot challenges. They are focused on providing roadmap functionalities that we request for and advocate for.

The best thing about TeamOhana is that it allows us to easily track our new hires vs our annual budget. TeamOhana assigns an ID # for each budgeted new hire which removes confusion about positions with similar job titles.

The "backfill" feature, including the integration with our PEO, also makes it very clear between HR, Finance, and the budget managers when a position is being backfilled vs being a new position.

The Scenario Planning feature has helped us on several occasions when our managers have been able to have a sandbox to play in where they can move hiring dates and salaries and instantly see the budget impact of those changes. After they completed their changes, we simply saved the updates which allowed our hiring team to start the recruiting process.

I also like the collaboration workflow that gives meaningful email notifications and has a great History section where you can see any changes to a particular requisition.

TeamOhana was also surprisingly fast to implement, both from an internal setup standpoint and the training of our budget managers.

After using TeamOhana for over 6 months, I haven't found anything I dislike about the tool.

It seamlessly supports the two main business groups—HR/Recruiting and Finance—by extracting data from third-party systems and displaying it effectively. Their customer success team has been fantastic, consistently accommodating customization requests.

As with any new tool on the market, there are some bugs to iron out. That said, integrating with an HRIS—especially one as complex as Workday—is no easy task. As they encounter more use cases from their clients, I’m confident they’ll develop solutions to address them effectively.

TeamOhana has been a great addition to our workforce planning process and has eliminated so much manual work. It seamlessly integrated with our HRIS and TAS to ensure accurate data and headcount management. The customer support has been is amazing. From the very beginning, the team made the implementation process easy and streamlined. They have been very accessible and support any issues and guide us through how to fix them ourselves as well so we continue to learn about the platform. We use it on a daily basis and it has been a true value add to our daily work.

**What do you dislike about TeamOhana?**

There is little that I dislike about TeamOhana but there are also some things that can be improved. As with any newer platform, they are continuously making improvements and exanding the features of the system. There may be some features that are not available right now, but the team is very open to our suggestions and often implements them in short order or advises that it is on their project list. I love the fact that they are building the platform around their customers and as an early user, if feels like the platform is being customized to our liking. It is very obvious how much they value their customer's input and feedback.

I believe they are working to improve org chart functionalities. TeamOhana is a solid product out of the box, but their team makes it very apparent they want the product to work for each company individually. We went from using multiple GSheets to track HC/Requisitions (for security/access controls) to trying out other tools which had their pros and cons and have now landed on TeamOhana

TeamOhana has some great features that have been very crucial to our work:
1. Reconciliation (Being able have a Requisition request go through an approval flow) -> Create a Job/Opening in GH -> Upon Offer + Hire in HRIS have the data sync back into TeamOhana and marked as hired)

- We previously struggled through this being very manual to reconcile and now it is automated where we can pull exports into our Planning tool


2. Scenarios - single handledly one of the most important features for us as we tend to make lots of shifts and changes and being able to do so with a preview on impact before merging the changes is huge. 

3. Simplifying the data we need for input - we are able to look up a lot of comp data which saves our managers time from having to look it up and inputting the values

As with all growing start ups, features and functionality take time to build. 

We have lots of asks and it takes time to build out.

The burden of proof that there was a system issue or bug. It was extremely time consuming and it made the team better at documenting issues and holding vendors accountable.

It was great to see benchmarks we wouldn't of had access to. Confidential information was shared from other clients including compensation data from Docker and others. 

Financial incentives were offered for 4-5 star reviews, I am glad current clients are getting some benefit for using the product.

There was a lack of awareness or care if anything worked. It was impressive that their leadership team didn't know how the product worked, pushed it on others and blamed others for their own shortcomings.

**What do you dislike about TeamOhana?**

There was no expertise in Financial Planning or Talent Acquisition.  There was no Subject Matter Expertise on systems or headcount management.

Unfortunately, the leader's temperamental approach has had a detrimental impact on its customers, supporting unprofessional and unfavorable behavior within the support team. 

Persistent communication issues and the need for clients to resort to manual work to compensate for product shortcomings have hindered the launch, leading to mismanagement of time.  

The leader's involvement in providing performance feedback from clients in an unethical manner raises serious concerns about professionalism and confidentiality. Additionally, contacting team members outside business hours has disrupted client  deliverables.  Concerns persist about emotional control during interactions when an issue about the products functionality is raised. 

Consistent delays in delivering promised products, along with a tendency to shift blame onto the overseas team and integration partners such as Slack and Greenhouse, had been prevalent issues. The leader's challenges in effectively selling to the target customer, further complicated matters.

Overreaching behaviors, including blocking hiring processes, excluding stakeholders, limiting permissions, obstruct effective contributions to workflow improvement. This complicates the ability to address issues and implement necessary changes for success.

**What problems is TeamOhana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The systems that they integrate with have ample capabilties for reporting, automation and tracking. TeamOhana did not have well established processes or workflows that provided added value. It seemed the focus was to eliminate other working processes and move them to TeamOhana to create a reliance on the system to achieve a renewal. They were able to cut costs by removing other necessary systems and escalted issues about people who did want to use the system because it never worked and was always broken with bugs.

**What do you like best about TeamOhana?**

Allows for close collaboaration between finance and HR. Integrations with HRIS and ATS are super helpful and the scenario planning function allows you to pivot when things inevitably change! Customer support is incredible!

**What do you dislike about TeamOhana?**

There are a few limitations in integrations and some features being built out, but nothing that keeps it from adding immediate value.

**What problems is TeamOhana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Difficult time planning and tracking headcount on an annual basis. Before Ohana, the collaboration with finance was manual, error prone and time consuming. This has been a game changer for our organization.

**What do you like best about TeamOhana?**

TeamOhana has been really helpful in us tracking our hiring from what needs to open to what is currently open. It keeps finance, recruiting, HR business partners, and compensation on the same page. I find it easy to use and am in it daily to stay on top of things.

**What do you dislike about TeamOhana?**

I wish there was a bit more customization to the fields and how they show up, but the team is very open to feedback and takes that into account when working on their roadmap!

**What problems is TeamOhana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It reduced a lot of manual work done by a number of teams. The automation of having everything in one place and ability to integrate across platforms is super useful.

**What do you like best about TeamOhana?**

the interface is intuitive and the integration with ATS and HRIS is seamless, allowing for automatic updates and saving lots of effort and time. Also, the support team is great; always ready to help and quick to respond.

**What do you dislike about TeamOhana?**

It would be great if there was a way to customize notifications so that approvers don't get inundated with a notification for every change.

**What problems is TeamOhana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has become our 'one source of truth', eliminating multiple spreadsheets and automating headcount changes.

**What do you like best about TeamOhana?**

TeamOhana has allowed the finance team, recruiting team, and hiring managers to all be aligned on what headcount is approved and in process. It is the only platform that allows me to have a complete  org chart that incorporates all future hires, open reqs, and terminations. Recent offers, backfills, internal transfers, req changes, etc., all the edge cases that would make reconciliation a pain in the past is taken care of.

**What do you dislike about TeamOhana?**

Don't have the ability as admin to ghost in as other users to see what they see (although I am able to control what others see in the settings).

**What problems is TeamOhana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Headcount tracking, approvals, and reconciliation.

**What do you like best about TeamOhana?**

It's a very intuitive platform to help project our headcount spend. I like that it seamlessly integrates with our HRIS for the most up-to-date data feed.

**What do you dislike about TeamOhana?**

TeamOhana can still be a fair bit buggy, and can sometimes lack customization where it's needed, but the team is constantly patching bugs and working with us to improve.

Headcount planning, it benefits us by being able to accuratly forecast headcount spend

**What do you like best about TeamOhana?**

Going from spreadsheets and email chains to having all the data from our different platforms in one place is gamechanging. The integration of our data sources was surprisingly easy.

Not only are our finance and talent teams able to work together in one platform, but our department leaders can easily see their data in realtime. The platform itself is very user friendly and not clunky at all!

**What do you dislike about TeamOhana?**

I haven't experienced anything I dislike yet, other than a few hiccups with the informantion feed from one of our other platforms.

**What problems is TeamOhana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are also a Startup and have been running our company through spreadsheets and a lot of manual work. TeamOhana has helped us move out of the dark ages and into the future by providing ONE platform that everyone can use. Visibility, consolidation, and efficiency are benefits that we've seen from partnering with TeamOhana.

Very straightforward implementation process, and it integrates with all of our key tools. We have also had great experience with their Customer Succcess and Support Teams.

**What do you dislike about TeamOhana?**

Nothing that I specifically dislike, but I am excited to see how they develop reporting and analytic capabilities!

**What problems is TeamOhana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows us to keep all stakeholders (Finance, Talent Acquisition, People Operations, Hiring Managers, etc) on the same page when it comes to Headcount Planning.
