## SpendHound Reviews
 ### 1. SpendHound is a great partner for contract management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robin P. | Senior Finance Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

What I like best about SpendHound is the FREE assistance they provide with comparative pricing and renewal negotiating strategies. We provide the proposal, and SpendHound does the rest. The team gives excellent guidance and provides us with clear recommendations on how to proceed. Sometimes finding angles that we weren't aware of to help leverage better pricing deals. Spendhound has been a great resource for our company and has quickly become part of our vendor renewal process. Their pricing analysis and benchmarking, along with customized renewal recommendations, have already saved us thousands per year. The customer service is excellent - especially considering the platform is free. We get consistent monthly check-ins, and the team is proactive, responsive, and easy to work with.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

Having to upload contracts to the system. The file size limitation prevents us from adding some of the larger contracts, and it is duplicative to load them in our contract management tool and also load them to SpendHound.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Alerting us to upcoming opt-out deadlines has been extremely helpful. It's so easy to miss a deadline and be locked into either having the contract automatically extend at the current pricing, or having to pay a cancellation fee. The new features give us more opportunities to keep an eye on our spending and control costs.

 ### 2. Clear SaaS Spend Visibility and Easy Renewal Management with Spendhound

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan V. | Web Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

Spendhound lets us, as an organization, get a clear picture of our SaaS spend, even if the spends are occurring over multiple funding sources and employees.

Even better, we can easily see when platforms are coming up for renewal, or auto-renew, so we can anticipate these and negotiate better terms with vendors, or be aware of the dates of renewal as to prevent downtime if something fails to renew.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

Nothing major comes to mind, there's a few minor UX features we would like to see, but Spendhound's team has taken our concerns under advisement and we've actually seen some change. We are hoping for a Notion integration soon.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For the longest time, our SaaS spends were all siloed across departments. Issues with budgeting and tracking became problematic, along with emergencies when platforms failed to renew and we would have to chase down app owners to get renewal access, or updated funding sources. Spendhoud has become our master dashboard for spend tracking.

 ### 3. Clear SaaS Spend Visibility and Unbeatable Value with SpendHound

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lambo J. | Co-Founder & CTO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

What I like best about SpendHound is how easy it makes it to understand and manage our SaaS spend. It gives us clear visibility into subscriptions, renewals, and savings opportunities without requiring a lot of manual effort from our team. It directly integrates with Xero our accounting software, and performs very well in terms of responsiveness. The platform is straightforward, useful, and helps us stay ahead of costs instead of reacting to them later. And the price is unbeatable.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

There is still some room to improve reporting depth and a few workflow details, but overall the platform delivers a lot of value. In some cases, I’d like even more customization and flexibility in how data is viewed or organized. That said, the team has been responsive, and none of these have been major issues for us.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SpendHound is helping us solve the problem of fragmented and hard-to-track SaaS spending. Before using it, it was more difficult to get a clear picture of what we were paying for, when contracts were renewing, and where there were opportunities to reduce costs. SpendHound gives us better visibility and control over that process, which helps us avoid waste, stay ahead of renewals, and make better purchasing decisions. The main benefit is that it saves time for our team while also helping us manage spend more proactively.

 ### 4. Better visibility and control over SaaS spend

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leo P. | CFO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

What I like best about SpendHound is that it gives clear visibility into SaaS spend, contracts, and renewals in one place. Instead of chasing information across spreadsheets, invoices, and emails, it helps keep everything organized and makes it easier to stay ahead of upcoming renewals. The pricing benchmark insight is also very valuable because it gives more confidence that software costs are reasonable and helps support better purchasing decisions.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

One area that could always improve is the depth of customization and reporting for teams with very specific internal workflows. As with most platforms in this category, there can be a learning curve at first when centralizing contracts, renewals, and spend data in one system. That said, the core value is strong, and the platform is clearly built to solve a real operational problem.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SpendHound is solving the problem of scattered SaaS spend management by bringing contracts, renewals, pricing visibility, and vendor data into one place. That makes it much easier to stay organized, avoid missed renewal deadlines, and make better decisions about software costs. The biggest benefit is better control and visibility, which helps reduce waste, improve budgeting, and support more strategic purchasing decisions.

 ### 5. The pricing intelligence my procurement team was missing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oxana L. | Director Global Procurement, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

Honestly, the fact that it’s free is incredible. There are other spend management tools out there charging up to $200K a year, and SpendHound delivers comparable benchmarking value at no cost. That alone made it an easy decision to bring on.

What really sets it apart for us is how well it handles tail spend for Procurement Operations. When you’re managing hundreds of SaaS vendors, you simply don’t have the bandwidth to deep-dive every renewal. The big strategic deals get the attention, but that long tail of smaller vendors quietly adds up. SpendHound lets us run a quick benchmark on a smaller renewal and immediately see whether it’s in range or worth pursuing. That triage capability is huge. We’re catching savings on deals we would have just auto-renewed before, without adding headcount.

The pricing benchmarks are the real differentiator, though. For about a year now, my Procurement team has been using them to build negotiation strategies. It’s not just about checking whether a price is “good,” but understanding where we sit relative to best-in-class deals at our volume, what discount off list we should be targeting, and whether the full deal structure - renewal caps, support pricing, add-on fees—is in line with market norms. The data is specific enough that we can walk into a vendor conversation with a defensible position and a clear target, which changes the entire dynamic of the negotiation.

The team is also great to work with. We’ve partnered on 50+ benchmarking cases over the past year, and they’re responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping us get to the right outcome - not just handing over a report and walking away. We have a dedicated Slack channel with their team, and the staff on the other end are consistently helpful and friendly - it feels like working with an extension of our own procurement team rather than an external vendor. That kind of partnership is rare, especially at this price point.

For my Procurement team, SpendHound has become one of the most valuable tools in our stack. It helps us prioritize the renewals with the biggest pricing gaps, align our internal stakeholders around real data, and negotiate with confidence instead of gut feel.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

The benchmarks are strongest on straightforward SaaS — per-seat, per-user licensing where there's a large pool of comparable deals to draw from. Where it gets thinner is on cloud spend and highly specialized categories like logging, SIEM, or consumption-based platforms where pricing is driven by ingestion volume, data retention tiers, and usage patterns that vary significantly across companies. For those deals, we still rely on specialized advisory firms or our own internal modeling to build a negotiation position. It would be great to see SpendHound deepen their coverage in those areas over time, but for the bulk of our SaaS portfolio it works really well as-is.

I absolutely recommend Spendhound to all Procurement teams.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before SpendHound, we had two problems that were hard to solve at the same time. On one end, our large strategic renewals needed real market pricing data to negotiate effectively — and we were either paying for expensive advisory engagements or going in without external validation. On the other end, we had a long tail of smaller vendors that nobody had time to look at, so those renewals just auto-renewed year after year with whatever increase the vendor decided to tack on.

SpendHound addresses both. For the big deals, the benchmarks give my team a data-backed starting point for every negotiation — we know where we stand versus the market before we ever pick up the phone with the vendor. For the tail, it gives us a fast, lightweight way to triage renewals and catch the ones where pricing has drifted above market without requiring a deep-dive on every single one.

The internal alignment piece has been just as valuable. Getting finance, IT, and business stakeholders on the same page about whether a deal is competitive used to be a subjective conversation. Now we pull up the benchmark data and everyone's looking at the same picture. That's made procurement's recommendations easier to land and has built a lot of trust with leadership over the past year.

And the fact that it's free means I didn't have to justify a six-figure spend management platform to get this capability. We were up and running quickly, the team has been hands-on from day one, and the ROI has been obvious. It's one of the easiest vendor decisions I've made.

 ### 6. A free, powerful tool that's transformed how we manage vendor spend

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dev K. | Director, Strategic Finance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

We use SpendHound to manage vendor contracts and renewals. It tracks all our vendor data, automatically alerts us 3 months before renewals, and benchmarks what similar companies pay for the same tools. The main use case has been getting negotiation support ahead of renewals — they've helped us build cases for vendors like Salesforce and Dropbox. It's also fully free, which is why we're evaluating it as a potential replacement for Tropic.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

Nothing that comes to mind - the Spendhound team is very responsive and has cleared any issues very quickly. Our Acct manager Ross Williams does a great job!

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SpendHound has helped us get on top of vendor renewals and negotiate better deals. Before using it, we didn't have a centralized view of our contracts or renewal timelines. Now we get proactive renewal alerts and access to benchmarking data that shows what similar companies are paying — which has been a real asset going into negotiations with vendors like Salesforce and Dropbox.

 ### 7. SpendHound Makes Budgeting Clear, Easy, and Stress-Free

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melonie L. | Procurement & Contracts Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

SpendHound is an outstanding budgeting tool that delivers exactly what it promises - clarity, control, and confidence in managing money. The interface is clean and intuitive, making it incredibly easy to track expenses, set goals, and understand where every dollar is going. The automatic categorization is impressively accurate, and the insights it provides have genuinely helped me make smarter financial decisions.
What I appreciate most is how SpendHound turns something as stressful as budgeting into a simple, almost effortless routine. It’s reliable, thoughtfully designed, and packed with features that feel genuinely useful rather than overwhelming.

SpendHound’s customer service has been nothing short of outstanding, especially Ross Williams. Every time I’ve reached out with a question or needed help, the support team responded quickly, clearly, and with genuine care. They don’t just send generic replies, they actually take the time to understand the issue and walk you through a solution step by step. It’s rare to find a company that’s this attentive and committed to making sure users feel supported.

Their professionalism, friendliness, and willingness to go the extra mile make a huge difference. It’s one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had with any app, and it makes me trust SpendHound even more. Truly excellent support.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

Most helpful, SpendHound pulls in your transactions and categorizes them with impressive accuracy. You don’t have to manually log every transaction, it does the heavy lifting for me.

The insights are helpful, but I sometimes would like more detailed reports and flexibility.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Spend across multiple cards, accounts, and platforms. Without SpendHound, it’s almost impossible to see the full picture.

 ### 8. An Incredible, User-Friendly Platform that Delivers Real ROI

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark H. | Senior Director, IT Systems and Support, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

Our experience with SpendHound has been nothing short of incredible. From the ease of implementing and integrating the solution with our financial systems to the customer support we receive from our customer success manager and the procurement team, SpendHound has seamlessly woven itself into our day-to-day operations. Through the platform's tools that identify application redundancies and the procurement team's help in negotiating contracts, we have saved approximately $250,000 in annual recurring software costs. We are on the platform daily, and it is extremely user-friendly. The value received, considering the solution is free, is game-changing. SpendHound also frequently introduces new features to make the product more user-friendly and provide even more value.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

Honestly, we have not encountered any downsides or negative aspects to using the platform up to this point.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using SpendHound to solve three main issues:

Software Redundancy: The tools help us identify overlapping applications.
Contract Costs: The procurement team helps negotiate better rates.
System Integration: It connects easily with our financial data.

The benefit has been massive—we have realized approximately $250,000 in annual savings and streamlined our daily procurement workflows.

 ### 9. Streamlines Contract Management with Seamless QuickBooks Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** JaCoby M. | Controller, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2025

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

I really love SpendHound because it's genuinely free and integrates fully with our QuickBooks, allowing us to pull in live data. This integration helps us compare contracted prices against actual spending, which is really helpful. I find it fantastic that I can manage all our contracts in one central location, and I appreciate SpendHound's ability to help us negotiate pricing effectively. The software is very intuitive and simple to navigate, making setup a breeze. SpendHound has been invaluable in helping us save money and manage our assets by reminding us to opt out of contracts or renegotiate before renewals. I also value how it helps us ensure fair pricing. Overall, the central contract management and price comparison features make SpendHound really helpful for us.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

I feel like there could be more integrations. We use Rippling for our spend management. It'd be really helpful if we could pull in data from Rippling. Ideally, we'd be able to work on rolling out approval flows through SpendHound. If that approval flow could feed into Rippling somehow so that we could get virtual cards spun up without having to do a whole separate process.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SpendHound to manage vendor software spend centrally. It helps track contracts, notify opt-out periods, and ensures fair pricing, optimizing savings. The integration with QuickBooks brings live data for price comparison, preventing unwanted renewals and keeping our vendor costs in check.

 ### 10. Intuitive, Data-Driven, and Reliable Expense Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oliver G. | IT Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2024

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

I like the ease of use and collaboration with the team over at SpendHound. It makes it really easy to set up the platform, and any questions that I run into, they're able to help me with. I also love the fact that it is a free product. The value trade-off for us sharing our data makes it worth it to them to help us with this very useful tool. I think the benchmarking data is something very unique to SpendHound, especially at this price point. It works super well and gives us a good idea if we're overpaying or not, and actually even helps us negotiate various platform contracts.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

Loading new platforms into the software can have a significant delay when pulling from our accounting tools. In addition, sometimes the data isn't super accurate, but it is generally resolved after calling it out. But it does take some monitoring to make sure everything is looking correct.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SpendHound solves the problem of not having up-to-date information about spend and provides good benchmarking data. It helps with shadow IT by populating all subscriptions through our accounting software.

 ### 11. Effortless to Use, Exceptional Spend Tracking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff D. | VP Information Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2025

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

I love how easy SpendHound is to use. The SpendHound team helped me make the connection to my Netsuite ERP, and they assist me with negotiating renewals and handling any mass changes or data loads I need to do. It allows me to see all of my spend across department budgets in one place and shows me renewals for software outside of my budget. All of these offerings save me time on manual tasks. The initial setup was very easy too, with the SpendHound support team walking me through everything.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

I would love to be able to use the tool for other cost centers instead of just my software spend.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SpendHound to track all software spend and renewals across departments, see all my spending in one place, and streamline renewals. It connects to Netsuite, saving me time on manual tasks.

 ### 12. Exceptional Free Tool for Contract Management and Negotiation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew B. | Director of IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

I primarily like that SpendHound is free. It has a lot of features, does everything we need, and the service level is always very high. The tool's ability to track our SaaS software contracts by looking at NetSuite data directly, and contracts uploaded into it, is a standout feature. It detects contracts and the metadata automatically, which saves me a lot of time. The procurement guidance and assistance also saves us money because we can enter deals with sales reps with both eyes open rather than always being on the back foot. Additionally, SpendHound integrates well with NetSuite to automatically detect contracts. The initial setup was very easy, with SpendHound having many resources available to make everything work smoothly, which made the setup for our company very light.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

No dislikes come to mind.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SpendHound to track contract renewals, preventing lapses and missing clauses. It saves time by automating contract tracking from NetSuite data and uploaded contracts. The procurement guidance helps us negotiate better, saving money.

 ### 13. SpendHound Makes SaaS Spend Tracking Simple, Centralized, and Actionable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

What I like most about SpendHound is how it makes something that’s usually pretty messy—tracking and optimizing SaaS spend—feel simple and actionable. Instead of digging through spreadsheets or multiple tools, everything is centralized and easy to understand, which makes it much faster to spot savings opportunities. It also feels very practical—like it’s built with real operators in mind, not just for reporting but for actually making better decisions.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

If I’m being honest, one thing that could be improved is the depth of customization and flexibility in certain areas. While the platform is really strong at giving a clear, centralized view, there are moments where I’d want a bit more control over how data is segmented or reported to match specific internal workflows.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SpendHound is solving the problem of fragmented and inefficient SaaS spend management. Without a tool like it, it’s really easy for subscriptions to sprawl across teams, contracts to go underutilized, and renewal dates to sneak up without proper visibility or leverage. For me, the biggest benefit is having everything centralized and transparent. It makes it much easier to understand where money is actually going, identify unused or overlapping tools

 ### 14. Essential Tool for Managing Subscriptions, Contracts, Renewals, and Budgeting plus AWS Cloud Spend.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dave S. | Founder - CTO, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

This platform helps me and my team stay organized with timely renewal reminders, detailed subscription data, logistics, and cost evaluations. The support team is also available to assist with contract negotiations and offer recommendations. It includes vendor information, the ability to add notes, and a repository for file uploads. We’ve found it to be a valuable addition to our software management toolkit. The Budget feature stands out as particularly impressive, and anyone managing AWS Cloud Spend should definitely explore SpendHounds' built-in integration! To top it all off, Customer Support is outstanding. The feature set continues to grow and improve.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

I would not consider this a dislike, but it is a well-needed reminder and Wake-Up Call of all the subscriptions we are using, which is a bit alarming - Yikes

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A concise, well-optimized UI/UX to help with managing contract renewals of our software subscriptions, helping us keep tabs on yearly expenses, and assisting with consolidation and subscriptions that are no longer needed.

 ### 15. The Ultimate Safety Net for Contract Renewals

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

Spendhound is an incredible resource for any finance or ops team. I love that it's completely free and that the onboarding process is so personalized—the team literally walked us through every step until we were experts. The automated weekly reminders and the 30-60-90 day renewal alerts are lifesavers for staying ahead of contract deadlines. Highly recommend!

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

We’re really enjoying the core functionality of Spendhound, but to get more value out of the tool, we’re looking for more autonomy. The two biggest friction points right now are:

Manual Uploads: We need the ability to upload CSVs ourselves rather than routing them through support.

Data Recency: The update frequency feels a bit slow for our needs; near real-time or more frequent daily syncs would be ideal.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Spendhound has solved the "spreadsheet chaos" of our renewal cycles. Before, we were often reactive to upcoming deadlines, but now we are firmly on top of our renewals thanks to the automated alerting system.

It has also significantly streamlined our budgeting process by providing a single source of truth for vendor spend. Most importantly, it has allowed us to assign and track owners for every vendor. Being able to pull clean data tied to specific stakeholders has improved accountability and made our internal reporting much more accurate.

 ### 16. SpendHound: Essential for Cost Control, Excellent Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

I find SpendHound really helpful for tracking all different applications we use and seeing how much we're spending on them. It's great that it can cross-reference if we're using any redundant apps, allowing us to eliminate those and save some money. I actually like their team a lot. Working with Ross and his team is enjoyable because they're really on top of things, providing advice on apps we can use or get rid of. I love the platform itself and I really enjoy working with their team. The biggest feature I value is the ability to see what we're spending money on, which helps us break everything down and save money. Setting up SpendHound was very easy, and their team is amazing.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

I don't have anything negative to say about SpendHound

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SpendHound tracks application usage and spending, helping us identify and eliminate redundant apps. It breaks down costs and highlights wasteful spending, allowing us to save money, which is a major goal for our company.

 ### 17. All SaaS Spend and Contracts in One View, Backed by Benchmarking and Expert Analysis

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris M. | Chief Financial Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

All SaaS spend and contracts in a single view, and access to benchmarking data and an actual analysis team to help provide a strategy for optimizing renewals.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

If contracts are not loaded, SpendHound will try to guess contract terms based on invoices or transaction spend. Sometimes their takeaways might not be accurate.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SpendHound solves two issues, as first it pulls all my software spend into a single dashboard. I can understand trends and potential overlaps in our tech stack. Second, it helps me prepare to get the best deal possible on any renewals or benchmarking new services.

 ### 18. Essential for Budget Tracking and Renewal Alerts

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samantha N. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

I find the notification alerts for upcoming renewals very helpful, as they prevent us from missing important dates and avoid unexpected auto-renewals. The budget tracking feature is incredibly useful for seeing where we've overspent compared to the contract value and catching variances. SpendHound reduces manual work by providing more insight into our cash outflow, helping us to make better budgeting decisions. I also appreciate how easy it was to set up, as I could send over our contracts and budget tracker for the team to upload with no hassle. It's been very beneficial for our budget tracking needs.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

I would say, if SpendHound could update our current sheets manually or we could have our sheet read directly from SpendHound to update that would be great. We use spreadsheets for all forecasting and budget tracking as we don't have an FP&A tool. The software obviously impacts the cash flow, so it must read from this sheet. It would be great to live-push this information of spend into a spreadsheet.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SpendHound to track software budgets and capture all spending, helping with variance analysis. It stores contracts, requires renewal approvals, and alerts upcoming renewal dates, preventing auto-renewals. It reduces manual work, offers insight into cash outflow, and helps make better budgeting decisions, avoiding overages.

 ### 19. Real-World Spend Data That Strengthens Our Software Negotiations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

Spendhound has been great for getting real data on what other customers are actually spending on their software contracts, and it’s helped us negotiate better pricing. It’s one thing to do a quick search to guess what something should cost, but it’s another thing entirely to have recent, real-life data points you can reference when you’re in the middle of negotiations.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

Sometimes there are only one or two data points available. It’s much more helpful when there are five or ten (or more), because that gives you a clearer sense of the pricing range and how willing the vendor is to come down.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SpendHound provides very helpful market information that supports our pricing negotiations with vendors. We’re able to negotiate with more confidence because we know the real numbers. As a result, we’ve saved money in at least five instances thanks to having this information.

 ### 20. All-in-One Visibility and Benchmarking That Streamlines Renewals and Vendor Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jerrod W. | Vice President, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

aving everything in one place gives us better visibility and control, and the benchmarking insights help ensure we’re paying fair market rates. It’s streamlined how we track renewals, manage vendors, and make more informed decisions about our software investments.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

The main gap we’ve encountered is with benchmarking data for smaller or industry-specific tools. In those cases, there isn’t always enough market data available through the platform to draw strong comparisons.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SpendHound solves the problem of fragmented SaaS management. Before, subscription data, renewals, and vendor information were spread across departments and systems. By centralizing everything in one platform, it has significantly improved our visibility and control. This has boosted our operational efficiency, streamlined renewal tracking, and helped us make more informed decisions around spend.

 ### 21. SpendHound Delivered $60K in First-Year Savings with Effortless Implementation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hans G. | Controller, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

What I like best about SpendHound is that it almost felt too good to be true — there was no cost to us, and the software actually helped us save real money. In our first year using it, we saved over $60,000 in actual, realized savings — not theoretical or “paper” reductions. As a small team, we were concerned that implementation would pull valuable resources away from other priorities, but the SpendHound team handled much of the heavy lifting for us. They were proactive in configuring features that delivered immediate value to our workflow. It’s a great group of people behind an excellent product that truly delivers measurable results.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

Did I mention we saved $60K within the first year, and that most of the implementation was handled for us? There’s honestly nothing about SpendHound that I dislike.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SpendHound is solving the problem of limited visibility and leverage in managing our recurring software spend. As a small team, we don’t have the bandwidth to continuously audit contracts, track renewals, and negotiate pricing, which often leads to overspending or missed savings opportunities. SpendHound centralized our spend data, surfaced renewal risks, and actively supported negotiations, turning what used to be reactive fire drills into a proactive savings strategy. The biggest benefit is that the savings ARE REAL and measurable — over $60K in year one — without adding workload or cost to our team. It has effectively become an extension of our finance function, improving efficiency while directly impacting the bottom line

 ### 22. Seamless Spend Management with Great Usability

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danial S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

I think SpendHound is pretty intuitive for all team members to use. It allows us to easily grant access to different team members and assign particular software or vendors to them. It also acts as a central place for us to store relevant documents, which makes it easy to refer to key terms and whatnot. I also really appreciate the renewal notifications as that has helped us get ahead of renewal negotiations with particular vendors.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

I found the negotiation service to not really deliver results. The benchmarking is valuable and helps us understand where we stand in terms of what we're paying versus the market, but so far, we haven't actually seen real results come from the negotiation service. That might just be because we haven't had many opportunities to really test it.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SpendHound to gain visibility into our software spend, helping avoid unexpected renewals and costly mistakes. It centralizes contracts, enhances team management with renewal alerts, and provides a comprehensive view of commitments, making software management proactive.

 ### 23. Empowers Negotiations, Cuts Contract Costs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gil R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

I like how SpendHound helps in negotiations and reduces costs as much as possible, making it supremely helpful. They do a great job in negotiations. It's the most valuable thing for me, using SpendHound for vendor contract renewals and keeping everything up-to-date. They also help in determining if we're getting a fair price by comparing other contracts from the same vendor. This way, I can push the negotiation to our benefit.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

I would love for there to be an integration, a Chrome extension where SpendHound reads my emails and helps me understand what helps me, gives me, like, an AI tool to help me negotiate within my emails and also help me set up new vendors and also helps me when new contracts come into my email. They, you know, ping me and say, hey, you have a new contract here. Could you upload it in this area? That extension, that kind of push notifications, and reading on my emails would help me put more information into SpendHound and would give me more value.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SpendHound for vendor contract renewals and cost reduction. It helps us get higher discounts by understanding pricing ranges. Their negotiation support is valuable, allowing us to push for better deals by comparing contracts and ensuring fair prices.

 ### 24. Super easy to set up and very quick to value

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Max A. | Head of Business Development , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

One of my favorite things about SpendHound is being able to see all of our subscriptions in one place and itemize them by team and by owner. I also like being able to upload the contracts from those subscriptions and track renewal dates. SpendHound makes it really easy to see everything we're paying for and how much we've actually been paying for it. It's better than our accounting books and credit card tools, which are more historical and don't make it easy to see spending by the whole team. The initial setup was super easy; we just connected our accounts, and they did the rest.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

I think the UI could be a little bit easier to use. Better automatic tagging

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SpendHound to easily track our spending on all tools, monitor renewal dates and identify which teams use which tools, breaking down spend by department. It also helps see actual payments and forecasts for the year, which other finance tools don't do effectively.

 ### 25. Essential for SaaS Spend Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian D. | Founder, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

I like how SpendHound gives a clear view of our apps, assigned by department and owner, with a quick view of what we agreed to spend and what we've actually spent. This transparency is crucial for budgeting. It allows us to allocate responsibility for tools to internal owners, while still tracking them centrally, which helps teams know what tools they have and see the details of live spending. I also really appreciate the support from the SpendHound team, as they helped us set up and perfect the system over time, with monthly calls and direct message support from our Customer Success Manager.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

I would love to see basic quality of life features like merging duplicate app entries, or importing the annual contract value into the Budgeting tool. I also want better multi-currency support. The tool works in dollars, but we're a global multi-currency company, and invoices in different currencies make it hard to know if exchange rates are being considered and at what rate.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SpendHound to track SaaS tool spend, identify shadow IT, and manage budget predictions. It streamlines accountability, eliminates manual tracking, and provides app insights department-wide.

 ### 26. Great Overall Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew N. | Finance Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

The free benchmarking services have been extremely helpful, providing us with clear guidance during renewal negotiations as well as when considering new vendors. Procurement experts are knowledgeable and quick to respond. Ross has been a pleasure to work with.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

Limited in-depth analytic capabilities and lack of complex spend forecasting options compared to other more costly procurement tools.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Spendhound gives my company a centralized place to manage vendor renewals without relying on a manual spreadsheet. Before Spendhound, we used a single file maintained by Finance. While that file was helpful, having spend trends, contract PDFs, and utilization all in one place has saved us time and enabled more productive, strategic internal conversations.

 ### 27. Exceptional Team, Comprehensive Subscription Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

The biggest differentiator is the customer success support. The platform does an excellent job on contract and renewal management--visibility, tracking, and reminders are all very helpful. What stands out is the proactive engagement from their team. They check in ahead of larger renewals, help us think through negotiation strategy, and surface relevant features that can improve our workflow. It feels like there's real ownership on their side--not just a tool, but a partner who stays engaged.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

One area of improvement would be additional reporting controls around historical spend. More flexibility in how prior spend is segmented--for example, the ability to align spend to specific accounting periods--would make it easier to reconcile directly against our GL. That level of granularity would strengthen the finance workflow.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SpendHound centralizes contract visibility and renewal tracking, which reduces the risk of missed deadlines and gives us a clearer forward view of upcoming spend. Instead of contracts living across inboxes and folders, we have a single source of truth.

 ### 28. Vendor Management Made Easy with SpendHound

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin C.

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

I really like that SpendHound is free and works well, making it a good piece of software. It's really helpful having the SpendHound analysts give market insights on what other companies are paying for specific software, which helps me negotiate better deals. SpendHound also makes vendor management easier by integrating with InterID and QuickBooks, and keeping track of all contracts and renewals. I appreciate how it's fairly intuitive to set up, even if it takes a bit of time initially.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

We have a lot of spend that goes through our core corporate credit cards, and there's not really many integrations with that. So our corporate card— we use Centercard— has no integration to SpendHound currently. So if we could get an integration for that, that would be ideal so that we can track even more spend on our vendors.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SpendHound to manage SaaS vendors, track contracts, and get alerts on renewals. It integrates with InterID and QuickBooks, prevents shadow IT, and provides market insights. Analysts help me negotiate better deals, simplifying vendor management for our lean IT team.

 ### 29. Revolutionized Our SaaS Spend Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephen M.

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

I like SpendHound for the centralized visibility it gives across all of our SaaS tools, significantly reducing risk and improving decision-making by having renewal dates, contract terms, license counts, and annualized costs all in one place. The renewal tracking and advance alerts are particularly useful, allowing us to proactively review usage, right-size licenses, and make informed decisions before contracts auto-renew. I also appreciate the clear breakdown of total SaaS spend and forecasting visibility, which helps with budget planning and leadership reporting by giving us a real-time view of financial commitments and upcoming renewals. Additionally, the customer experience is excellent, with 1:1 meetings that are more like true collaborative sessions. Daniela and Rafael are always responsive and thoughtful, turning the experience into a partnership rather than just a transaction, and they genuinely care about helping us lower costs, enhance processes, and make informed decisions.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

At this time, there isn’t anything I specifically dislike about SpendHound. The platform meets our current needs, and any minor questions or suggestions we’ve had have been addressed quickly.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SpendHound centralizes SaaS spend management and renewal tracking, preventing auto-renewals, and optimizing licensing. It improves budget forecasting, offers visibility into total spend and upcoming renewals, and maintains application ownership accountability. Overall, it enhances cost control and operational efficiency.

 ### 30. Effortless Software Procurement, Free and Reliable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam H.

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

I like that SpendHound is a free software, making it a super easy sell and decision for the company. The software helps us keep track of the number of seats we're using for all our different software, and it assists in negotiating software contracts by providing benchmark pricing. I appreciate how SpendHound makes things extremely easy by letting you send a SpendHound team member the contract you're using, and they do all the research on benchmarking and pricing. It's really a hands-off and white-glove experience from a customer service perspective. The initial setup was simple because you just provide them with data, and the SpendHound team takes care of the rest, even though setting up integrations like QuickBooks takes a bit of time.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

There are times when it doesn't pull in all of the software that we're using, so we've had to have the SpendHound team manually add some things. I wish it worked a little better with Ramp, especially for pulling contract details like start date, end date, renewal date, and the number of licenses or seats. It would be nice if the integration was slightly tighter.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SpendHound to track software seats and negotiate contracts more effectively. It provides intelligence on renewals and alternatives, making procurement proactive and insightful. It's hands-off, as SpendHound handles benchmarking and pricing research, adding value to our procurement and AP departments.

 ### 31. Centralizes Spend Management, Time-Intensive Setup

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2025

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

I like how SpendHound brings all our SaaS and cloud software expenses into one place, making it easy to track renewals and manage our software spending. It gathers data from our accounting system and puts vendors, contracts, and invoices into a single searchable hub. The biggest benefits I've experienced are the elimination of surprise renewals and a significant reduction in wasted SaaS spend, which saves me a lot of time compared to managing everything in spreadsheets. I appreciate how it solves the problem of scattered contracts and shadow IT by centralizing all my contracts and renewal terms, including those discovered through integrations. Integrations are essential for me because nothing gets missed anymore. SpendHound automatically imports every vendor, invoice, and contract by syncing with billing systems, so I no longer have to rely on someone remembering to add a new tool to a sheet.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

There are a few areas where I'd like to see SpendHound improve. The initial setup and data loading can be challenging. Gathering all existing contracts, tracking down owners, and entering details takes real effort, especially if things are disorganized before. The 'startup costs' can feel high, even though the long term payoff is worth it. Deeper workflow and automation options would be a major improvement. For example, I'd appreciate having more in-app controls for renewals, such as the ability to trigger or manage cancellations and renewal workflows directly within SpendHound, instead of just tracking dates and alerts. Additional approval and routing logic would also be helpful, richer approval flows like conditional routing based on spend level, department, or vendor risk, would make the platform easier to use for larger or more complex organizations.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SpendHound centralizes our SaaS and cloud expenses, reducing surprise renewals and waste. It syncs with billing systems to automate vendor, invoice, and contract imports, saving time and solving scattered contracts and shadow IT.

 ### 32. Convenient Reminders, Challenging Adoption

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Everett B. | Sr. Financial Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

I use SpendHound for renewal reminders, which ensures I never miss opt-out and term dates for conveniences. I love using the Slack integration and the email notification reminders that help track our renewals and contracts. The simplicity of the notifications and reminders is great, and the integrations function in the backend without needing manual data scrubbing. I also like that, as a finance admin, I can keep track of important dates for departments that might not be aware, preventing any misses we've had in the past without SpendHound.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

New modules and features and workflows are time consuming to set up. Getting my entire company onboarded has been challenging internally with other tools being used.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SpendHound to keep track of renewals, ensuring I never miss opt-outs and terms. It helps negotiate vendor pricing and integrates with Slack and Rillet, aiding in contract tracking without manual data scrubbing. it's also cost effective solution.

 ### 33. Proactive Subscription Management Made Simple

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

What I like most about SpendHound is the visibility into upcoming subscription renewals. Having a clear view of renewal dates across all our vendors helps us stay ahead of contracts, avoid surprise charges, and make intentional decisions before money goes out the door. The consolidated dashboard makes it easy to spot inefficiencies and manage spend proactively, rather than react after the fact.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

One downside is that, at times, SpendHound can feel like another platform in an already crowded tech stack. There can be some overlap with existing financial or procurement tools, which creates minor redundancies. That said, the visibility into renewals and consolidated spend data still makes it valuable overall.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SpendHound solves the problem of fragmented subscription and vendor spend management. Before using it, renewal dates, contract terms, and total spend were scattered across emails, invoices, and different systems. That made it easy to miss upcoming renewals or lose leverage before contracts auto renewed.

The biggest benefit for me is having centralized visibility into all subscriptions and renewal timelines in one dashboard. It allows me to be proactive instead of reactive, avoid surprise charges, and make informed decisions about whether to renew, renegotiate, or cancel. It ultimately helps control costs and brings more discipline to how we manage recurring spend.

 ### 34. Exceptional Visibility and Control for Smarter SaaS Spend Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

What I like most about SpendHound is the visibility and control it brings to our SaaS spend. The platform makes it straightforward to uncover shadow IT, stay on top of renewals, and spot cost-optimization opportunities without a lot of manual work. I also really appreciate the automated contract and invoice ingestion, which pulls information into one place instead of leaving it scattered across finance and IT.

Renewal management and negotiation support are standout capabilities as well. Having access to benchmarks and expert sourcing guidance helps us feel confident we’re getting competitive pricing and extracting the most value from our vendors. Overall, SpendHound streamlines SaaS lifecycle management and supports more strategic, data-driven spend decisions across the organization.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

One area that could be improved is the depth and flexibility of reporting. While the out-of-the-box dashboards provide a solid overview, more customizable reporting and export options would make it easier to tailor insights for finance, procurement, and executive stakeholders.

Data accuracy can also occasionally depend on how well contracts and invoices are ingested or mapped. As a result, there are times when manual validation is still required—particularly for complex licensing models or multi-year agreements.

Lastly, deeper native integrations with systems like ERP, procurement, and ITSM platforms would further streamline workflows and reduce reliance on manual updates or CSV imports.

Overall, the platform delivers strong value, but improvements in reporting, integrations, and data normalization would make it even more powerful.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SpendHound is helping our nonprofit organization address the challenge of limited, centralized visibility into our SaaS and technology spend across departments. As a nonprofit, our budgets are tightly managed and funded through donations, grants, and program revenue—so every dollar needs to be tracked, accounted for, and optimized.

Before SpendHound, contract details, renewal timelines, and tool ownership were scattered across IT, Finance, and individual business units. As a result, it was difficult to understand our total SaaS spend, manage renewals proactively, or spot overlapping tools and duplicate functionality.

With SpendHound, we now have a single source of truth for our software contracts and invoices. This improved visibility helps us identify underutilized or redundant applications, reallocate licenses where possible instead of purchasing new ones, forecast renewal costs more accurately, and ensure clear departmental accountability for tool ownership.

The renewal management and negotiation support are especially valuable in the nonprofit space. Having benchmark data and sourcing expertise helps us secure better pricing and nonprofit-friendly terms, which supports responsible stewardship of donor funding.

From an operational standpoint, automated invoice ingestion and spend tracking reduce the manual workload for our IT and Finance teams. That frees us up to focus more on mission-critical work like animal care, shelter operations, and community programs, rather than spending time on administrative contract management.

Overall, SpendHound is enabling our organization to optimize technology spend, strengthen vendor governance, and better align resources with our mission and the services we provide to the community.

For anyone looking for a lightweight, free, but powerful way to manage SaaS spend and vendor renewals, SpendHound is an easy recommendation.

 ### 36. Centralized SaaS Management Made Easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Halion A. | service desk manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

I really like that they're constantly adding new features on how to analyze the data. The staff is one of the best things about SpendHound; they're really helpful and available if I have questions. They help us understand and compare data, providing metrics which ensure we're not getting ripped off, which is awesome. The initial setup was super easy with their custom-built integrations. It just took a few links and clicks and we were all done.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

It's a very manual process. Even though I can send them the contracts and they upload them, which is great, I still have to find those contracts myself. This is really a problem for me because I'm always behind on getting old legacy accounts into the system. It's a lot of work and the most time-consuming part of the product.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SpendHound to track our software subscriptions, linking with Ramp and QuickBooks to see spending and manage contracts, renewals, and account info in one place, avoiding overcharges.

 ### 37. Transforms Expense Management with Ease

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mitch V.

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

I really like that SpendHound lets us see all of the expenses of all our entities in one place, which makes it so much easier to manage. We've given access to our brand leaders, and they can see all the expenses and vendors within their account without the hassle of doing manual Excel reporting. With SpendHound, everything is visible in a beautiful dashboard, and the data is live, which is fantastic.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

Sometimes the mapping of account names from bill.com gets a little messed up with SpendHound, and we have to manually change them. It's not a huge issue, but occasionally, it can get its wires crossed a little bit with which entities spend belongs to. That can sometimes be a little bit complicated as well.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SpendHound helps us organize vendor contracts and provides visibility into our expenses across entities. It's our main database for contracts, making it easier to manage renewals and keeping us organized. It streamlines expenses into a single dashboard, offering real-time data access.

 ### 38. Time Saver and Value add-on

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Garth S. | Director Procurement, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

What I like best about SpendHound is its unparalleled ability to provide complete visibility into our SaaS spend and then directly translate that into significant cost savings. Before SpendHound, our SaaS subscriptions felt like a black hole – we knew we were spending a lot, but couldn't pinpoint exactly where or if we were getting value. SpendHound automatically uncovers all our subscriptions, highlights redundancies, unused licenses, and upcoming renewals, giving us the leverage to optimize and negotiate. It's truly transformed how we manage our software budget.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

THere are a lot of suppliers we use that is not in the SpendHound database.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our primary struggle was proactive renewal management and maintaining tight control over our SaaS budget. Renewals would often sneak up on us, forcing rushed decisions or automatic rollovers for services we might not even need anymore. This made accurate budgeting nearly impossible and led to unnecessary expenses.

SpendHound solves this by providing clear, timely alerts for all upcoming renewals, along with historical spend data and usage insights for each application.

The benefit is that we are now always prepared for renewals well in advance. This allows us to properly evaluate the necessity of each tool, assess usage, and engage in informed negotiations with vendors, often leading to better pricing or the decision to cut tools that are no longer serving us. It has given us unprecedented control over our SaaS budget and eliminated those costly 'surprise' renewals.

 ### 39. Helpful Platform for Renewal Tracking with a Strong, Supportive Team

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

I really appreciate how easy SpendHound is to use and how straightforward it was to implement. Unlike many systems that require heavy admin involvement just to make modifications, SpendHound makes those changes simple, intuitive, and easy to manage.

What really stands out is the team behind the product. They’re consistently delivering improvements, and everyone I’ve interacted with has been fantastic. Our CSM, Daniela Perez, does an excellent job keeping us aligned and making sure we get full value out of the platform she’s great to work with.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

Currently, Spendhound doesn’t have all the integrations I need, but I know the team is actively working on it.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Spendhound is helping us manage our SaaS renewal calendar alerts and benchmark data. I’m hoping they’ll be able to address my intake issue in the future as well.

 ### 40. Efficient Subscription Management with Seamless ERP Integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David L.

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

I like that SpendHound is free and integrates with our ERP to automatically pull data, so it reflects our actual costs. I appreciate being able to assign users and owners so each person can see information on their own tools. I also value the consultations offered on renewals and pricing. The initial setup was very easy, as we had a dedicated onboarding manager and a Customer Success Manager assigned afterwards.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

Integration to payment platforms which they don't currently support. We use Mesh payments, many of our SAAS subscriptions are paid via Mesh and SpendHound doesn't integrate with Mesh so it doesn't pull that data and we need to update it manually

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SpendHound to track my SAAS subscriptions, manage renewal dates, get advice on renewals, and track ownership. It integrates with our ERP, assigns user tools, and offers renewal consultations, which simplifies managing subscriptions.

 ### 41. Comprehensive Spend Management, Needs Data Accuracy Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ankita G.

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

I think the user interface is pretty great. I can have a close view of the required data in a single window, which is pretty helpful. And it also has the ability to pull in the historical data pretty seamlessly, which is also great.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

Sometimes the data collected by SpendHound is not correct, and it takes quite some time for the team in the back end to clean up and update the data so that I have full visibility. This part is a bit problematic because I would expect the numbers to align with the actuals and ignore any general entries posted in the ERP system to give me a correct view.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SpendHound to track my company's expenses over time, view contract renewals, and assess productivity. It provides full visibility into expenses, allowing me to monitor usage and negotiate better terms with vendors.

 ### 42. Visibility and Cost-Effectiveness with SpendHound

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick N. | Controller, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

I love how SpendHound is free and available for everyone in my company to use. It's been really helpful with tracking our software spend, which has increased over the years, and having more visibility into this is very helpful. I appreciate being able to see who owns which software so we can easily reach out to them to determine whether the software is still helpful or being used. The initial setup was very easy and pretty hands-off, making it convenient for us.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

I don't like the accuracy when it comes to determining what is considered software. Sometimes we'll have expenses come through labeled as software when it's not.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SpendHound gives us visibility on software ownership and adds a layer of consideration for new subscriptions. It's free for everyone in the company, helpful for tracking software spend, and aids us in managing increasing expenses effectively.

 ### 43. Enhances Vendor Management with Human Touch

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nishant R. | Associate, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

My favorite thing about SpendHound is the vendor price benchmarking feature, and I love that everything involves actual human interaction. Dealing with a real person every time, whether through monthly check-ins with my customer success representative or any other interactions, makes a big difference.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

I think the main thing is, SpendHound sometimes is not as automated. When it comes to being proactive about letting me know, like, which big vendors exist that I haven't uploaded, you know, certain document for it that could help. So at times, I'd like to more of, like, a manual scrubbing process to figure out which vendors are missing documentation. I'd appreciate more proactive alerts from SpendHound in those cases.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SpendHound for vendor management by tracking vendor contracts and renewals. It centralizes all spend information, helping us know if we're getting good deals and determine vendor pricing.

 ### 44. Clean, One-Pane Summary That Makes Renewals Easy to Track

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

Clean, one pane summary of all the critical info I need to see. Tagging is beneficial and customizing the renewal dates in nice. Helps me keep track of when renewals are coming up.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

Seems to be missing some critical fields such a Admin vs budget holder vs App owner, which are all different.
Renewal dates seem to be off by one day.
Would like to be able to add a group for emails, not just individuals for notifications
Savings tracker would be key.
Active user list or # for licensed modeled contracts would be helpful.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping all applications in one spot for renewals, spend and app owner. Tagging is beneficial as well to determine key differentiators. Less time spent researching our P2P and manufacturing reports to do the same.
Benchmarking is a great feature as well with unfamiliar new vendors.

 ### 45. Great tool for finance leaders juggling many subscriptions.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steven C. | Accounting Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

I like that Spendhound is a free tool that provides a ton of value: between the subscription tracking features and their help with negotiating favorable rates for software subscriptions Spendhound has saved us money in several ways.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

I don't have much negative to say about Spendhound, a slight inconvenience that this is a separate login from our accounting system.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SpendHound is solving the issue of mismanaging software subscriptions and having them auto-renew and being stuck paying for something you don't need anymore.

 ### 46. Revolutionized Supplier Insights for Smarter Spending

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric L. | Purchasing Manager

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

I find SpendHound gives us insight data on suppliers without giving away confidential information, allowing us to make good decisions based on how well a business is doing based on the number of customers using the supplier we're investigating. It also provides a report showing if our company is spending the correct amount of money with a supplier, which I really appreciate. The initial setup was easy, only requiring a half-hour meeting for review and getting the needed information. I would definitely recommend this tool to any Procurement professional looking for a complete view of the competitive landscape.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

I have not experienced any issues or poor service yet.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SpendHound for RFP insight, helping us assess suppliers based on financials and spend. It aids in making informed decisions without revealing confidential details, providing reports to ensure we're spending correctly with suppliers.

 ### 47. Flawless Expense and Contract Management with Great Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremy J. | Vice President of Finance & People Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

I love how much it simplifies expenses, contracts, and renewals. There's great customer service and support to help you navigate contracts, negotiations, benchmarking, and comparisons. It performs flawlessly and implementation was simple. We love the cost!

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

It will track anything and everything, which makes a dashboard view busy at times

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Spendhound helps us keep track of everything. We were searching for a better way to track expenses and contracts and the added services put a cherry on top

 ### 48. Streamlined Subscription Management That Helped Cut G&A Costs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cory K. | SVP Accounting & FP&A, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

Managing company subscriptions and software renewals. It was very helpful in a G&A cost reduction at our company by analyzing redundancies and software not used often.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

We don't have any concerning dislikes. I think the contract upload process could be more automated as well as fully functional AI to pull information from the documents immediately.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

G&A and software spend management. We had an initial project to reduce software subscription volume and now use the renewal functionality. We are able to keep up with when software renewal periods are approaching, giving us ample time to negotiate and/or discontinue certain software use if needed.

 ### 49. Hassle-Free Contract Management with Robust Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ahmet C.

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

I would say that the customer service was quite good. The process of signing up was hassle-free, and there's no cost to us for using the product. It's a great tracking mechanism, allowing us to see upcoming renewals and decide whether we want to review them with the vendor. The team also provides guidance for negotiating new contracts with vendors. The setup process was quite easy with no real friction.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

I think the number of vendors on the platform could be improved. When I was looking at other options, I noticed that was one of the things that needed work, although they were upfront about it and mentioned they were working on getting more vendors.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SpendHound helps me see upcoming renewals to decide if I want to review with vendors, and it provides guidance for negotiating new contracts.

 ### 50. Effortless Expense Tracking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2026

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

I like that SpendHound brings in the invoices automatically so I don't have to fill out tables or budgets. This feature saves me time, especially when managing software budgets not specifically related to IT spend. Additionally, I appreciate the opportunity to include additional Business Leaders and help them manage their own software tools for their departments. The initial setup was also very easy.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

We are currently having issues with invoices syncing into SpendHound properly.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SpendHound to track spending on SaaS applications and IT tools. It helps me see actual spend versus budget quickly and eliminates the need to manually tracking IT spend, saving time and involving Business Leaders in managing department tools.
