"Free, Easy Spend Tracking with Solid Contract & Vendor Management"
5/5
What do you like best about SpendHound?

It's free to use and provides easy to use interface to track spend; contains all the basic functionality such as contract management, vendor details, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SpendHound?

The integrations are still early, some key ones were missing during sign up like Azure, GCP and OpenAI Workspace - Through I expect these to mature over time with the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"SpendHound’s Dashboard Makes Software Spend and Renewals Easy to Track"
4.5/5
What do you like best about SpendHound?

Yeah, more casual and natural, like something you'd actually put in a survey: Definitely the dashboard. It makes it really easy to get a quick view of our software spend and see where we’re spending our money. I also really like having the renewal dates in one place, since it gives us a chance to review each tool before it renews and make sure it still makes sense for the company’s needs. Great. I think the value is definitely there, especially when we take advantage of all the tools and features available. Having everything in one place and being able to use the different tools really makes a difference for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SpendHound?

The onboarding process wasn’t perfect, of course. We had to follow up a few times to make sure all of our software and subscriptions were being moved over to SpendHound. Once everything was in place, though, the platform has been really easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"SpendHound Transformed Our SaaS Renewals and Spend Visibility"
5/5
What do you like best about SpendHound?

SpendHound has changed the way we make decisions around contract negotiations for SaaS renewals and related products and services. It has armed us with shared knowledge about how our pricing compares with other clients’ pricing in our industry, and it has saved us tens of thousands of dollars in the first 90 days alone. It has also helped us understand where our spend sits across the board and has even identified areas of shadow IT within the organization, allowing us to get ahead of potential issues before they turn into bigger, more widespread problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SpendHound?

So far, our CFO and I (CIO) haven’t found any downsides, aside from the fact that some companies are currently unwilling to interface with SpendHound. That hesitation seems to stem mainly from their own lack of knowledge or understanding of what SpendHound does, rather than any issue with SpendHound itself. "Very Helpful for SaaS Vendor Management and Renewals"
5/5
What do you like best about SpendHound?

SpendHound is an incredibly helpful organization tool for SaaS subscriptions. I like the connection to our ERP because it helps make sure that you're capturing all of your major vendors and placing them in a reliable review process. The assignments to various team members is also a great feature, and it makes it easy to sort and organize the vendors by department or owner. The platform was pretty intuitive, and it's helped me automate renewal reminders so that we don't accidentally renew for services that we're not using. The platform is provided to me at no cost, and I'm receiving a fair amount of value. I would expect a bit more if this required a paid subscription, but at no cost I think it's a great resource. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SpendHound?

I'd like better automation around contract details (renewal dates, license counts, etc.) based solely on uploading contracts. Right now the contracts are uploaded, but then those details need to be manually filled in by either your own team or the SpendHound team on your behalf. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"AI-Native SpendHound That Scales Unstructured Data and Integrates Seamlessly"
5/5
What do you like best about SpendHound?

SpendHound takes an AI-native approach from the ground up, rather than bolting AI features onto an older architecture. The platform is able to handle data ambiguity and variability. We started implementing SpendHound in 2026, and I’ve been impressed with its ability to process unstructured data at scale, as well as its cross-platform integrations—for example, connecting NetSuite with Box and Gmail. Great value, easy to use and implement. The support team is great to work with and is always there to help us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SpendHound?

From our implementation, we learned that, as with any AI-native tool, output quality depends heavily on the quality of the input data and on how well the platform is trained against an organization’s specific document formats. For Companies to leverage the best value of SpendHound, please make sure the input documents are the latest signed contracts, and the APP owners are the updated to the budget owners on a timely basis. "Spendhound is a strong spend management software with benchmarking capabilities against competitors"
5/5
What do you like best about SpendHound?

SpendHound provides significant value in helping us take a more strategic and data-driven approach to managing our software portfolio and renewal process.

The platform gives us greater visibility into upcoming software renewals, while providing market benchmarking that allows us to evaluate whether our current pricing is competitive. This is particularly valuable during renewal negotiations, as we can use objective market data to better understand where we should be paying and identify opportunities to reduce costs.

SpendHound also strengthens our negotiating position with software vendors. Rather than relying solely on historical pricing or vendor-provided increases, we can leverage benchmark data to have informed conversations around pricing and challenge proposed increases when they are not aligned with market rates.

Overall, SpendHound helps us move from a reactive renewal process to a more proactive and strategic approach—giving our team the information and leverage needed to negotiate better pricing, manage renewals more effectively, and drive meaningful savings across our software spend. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SpendHound?

What I dislike:

The benchmarking provides valuable insight into market pricing, but I would like to see stronger support in translating those benchmarks into actual negotiation leverage. The next step should be helping us use the data more effectively to challenge vendor pricing, negotiate better terms, and ultimately secure greater savings on our software contracts. "Single View of SaaS Spend and Renewal Alerts—Setup Takes Some Time"
5/5
What do you like best about SpendHound?

SpendHound gives us a single view of all our software spend without any manual tracking. It pulls data from Ramp / Campfire and automatically identifies our SaaS vendors, so I don’t have to maintain a separate spreadsheet of tools and costs anymore. The renewal calendar and alerts have been the most useful part: we caught 11 renewals before the auto-renew date and were able to renegotiate or cancel them. Setup took a few weeks, and the price benchmarks provided a helpful reference point going into vendor negotiations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SpendHound?

Vendor matching isn’t fully reliable yet. I’ve seen transactions from [Ramp / Campfire] get [missed / assigned to the wrong vendor / counted twice], so I still need to review and clean up the vendor list manually. Contract details such as [renewal dates / seat counts / terms] often have to be entered by hand as well, because the tool doesn’t consistently pull them from the agreements. I’d also like [deeper integration with X / better reporting and exports / multi-entity support]. Overall, it’s a solid starting point, but it still requires regular upkeep to keep everything accurate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Procurement with Added Value"
5/5
What do you like best about SpendHound?

I like that SpendHound is free, so it doesn't cost us any money to leverage the platform. It's very scalable, which allows me to interact with the entire company without having to pay for additional licenses. We also get to utilize the procurement experts, which is an added bonus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SpendHound?

Some of the functionality and notifications aren't as clean as some other more advanced procurement platforms. Some of the new features like budgeting and forecasting aren't as strong as a typical FP and A software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Spend Management, Needs Data Accuracy Improvement"
4/5
What do you like best about SpendHound?

I think the user interface is pretty great. I can have a close view of the required data in a single window, which is pretty helpful. And it also has the ability to pull in the historical data pretty seamlessly, which is also great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SpendHound?

Sometimes the data collected by SpendHound is not correct, and it takes quite some time for the team in the back end to clean up and update the data so that I have full visibility. This part is a bit problematic because I would expect the numbers to align with the actuals and ignore any general entries posted in the ERP system to give me a correct view. "Revolutionized Our SaaS Spend Management"
5/5
What do you like best about SpendHound?

I like SpendHound for the centralized visibility it gives across all of our SaaS tools, significantly reducing risk and improving decision-making by having renewal dates, contract terms, license counts, and annualized costs all in one place. The renewal tracking and advance alerts are particularly useful, allowing us to proactively review usage, right-size licenses, and make informed decisions before contracts auto-renew. I also appreciate the clear breakdown of total SaaS spend and forecasting visibility, which helps with budget planning and leadership reporting by giving us a real-time view of financial commitments and upcoming renewals. Additionally, the customer experience is excellent, with 1:1 meetings that are more like true collaborative sessions. Daniela and Rafael are always responsive and thoughtful, turning the experience into a partnership rather than just a transaction, and they genuinely care about helping us lower costs, enhance processes, and make informed decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SpendHound?

At this time, there isn’t anything I specifically dislike about SpendHound. The platform meets our current needs, and any minor questions or suggestions we’ve had have been addressed quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
