## Smartsheet Reviews
  ### 1. Nice project management tool for project schedules.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like the live training sessions they offer, to show different things you can do within Smartsheet. I also like that it creates a Gantt Chart with the schedule.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I don't like how difficult it is to view the Gantt Chart with the project tasks, dates, etc. You always have to scroll left and right to view things, which makes it more tedious. I also do not like the way that it saves documents, it is a little unuser friendly, but once you get the hang of using it, it really isn't that difficult. Just wish it were more intuitive.

**Recommendations to others considering Smartsheet:**

I think it is a good project management tool, but definitely takes some learning to really utilize it to be the most effective.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Used for project management, creating project schedules. Benefits are project tracking, viewable to all stakeholders, you can assign tasks to stakeholders or project SMEs, the Gantt chart is useful for project updates to show status of project. You can share the workbook(s) with stakeholders.

  ### 2. Smartsheet Makes Project Management and Collaboration Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris D. | Director, Product Marketing, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I love that we can manage multiple things in one system. Being able to add hyperlinks, leave comments, and attach files is extremely helpful. Smartsheet is my go-to for managing my projects, and it makes it easy to collaborate with colleagues when needed.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Nothing pops in my heads right away. I am sure if I thought about it for a while I could come up with something. I know I've had formatting frustrations before but I cannot think of specifics at this time.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

i can see active and completed projects in one place. saves me so much time. i don't need to scour through my emails to collect product updates.

  ### 3. All-in-One Project Tracking with Great Customization and Real-Time Visibility

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like that it includes everything I need to track my project’s progress from inception through closeout. I also appreciate the customization options and performance, because they let me tailor it to my team’s specific needs and workflow. The sheets allows us to look at a glance what our team is u to in real time.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I would say one complaint that I have is at timed it is hard to access. It is slow to load or errors out when I attempt to login. Could be an issue with my pwn hardware/internet connection. The support I have received from the online community with issues is great.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its allowing out team who is spread throughout the country collaborate and have a great overview of what everyone is working on. The AI tools available are great at helping streamline workflow too. The pricing makes it well worth the investment.

  ### 4. User-Friendly and Versatile Project Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like Smartsheet because it's very user-friendly and easy to use. I love that we can use the feature on the Smartsheet website, which often solves my questions through a lot of already answered Q&A. The initial setup was pretty easy, thanks to the very useful tutorials on the Smartsheet website. Switching to Smartsheet from just using emails and Excel sheets made a huge difference for the team.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I would love to have the ability to include images in the forms. Many times, it would be easier for the respondents of a certain survey or data entry to see an image to base their answers on. Also, when creating a form, I would like to have the ability to work a little bit more on the layout of the form. Like, when I include the logo of my company, I can move it around. I think that could be improved.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet for tracking, tagging stakeholders, and ensuring project alignment and timelines. The switch from emails and Excel sheets to Smartsheet has made a huge difference. It's user-friendly and helps solve questions I have.

  ### 5. Essential for Remote Teams, Powerful Automation and Integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jenny L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I use Smartsheet for all aspects of my work with PSA, and it's essential to our business. I love how all of our linked sheets are valuable because they populate from one to the next. This is crucial for our fully remote team, allowing everyone to see what we need. I also appreciate how 'smart' Smartsheet is. It's incredible with its formulas and the ability to auto-trigger emails and other tasks, which helps us collaborate with clients and vendors. I find the formulas, functions, forms, Microsoft Teams integration, and Google integration extremely valuable.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

This was my first time using it with PSA so I would have really appreciated better learning and training manuals. It looks very daunting at first. I would have appreciated tools that pop into your email as soon as you make the account. Hard at first. There were lots of different teams we had to figure out how to use and train our clients and partners too.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet to track projects, get approvals, trigger DocuSign, and link with Google Drive. It helps our remote team by linking sheets that populate from one to the next, so everyone can see what they need.

  ### 6. Customer Support No Longer Exists and No Longer Small-Business Friendly

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachael T. | Executive Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Nothing anymore. They used to appreciate small businesses and curtail their services to companies of any size, but that is no longer the case. They do not care about a company that pays for fewer than 15 paid members.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Their SEVERE lack of customer service, and blatantly ignoring support that a customer needs because the problem has become too difficult or because it's no longer worth their time.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They were TRYING to help my company move from an annual paid business membership to a monthly paid membership. Doing this would have resulted in more money for them in the long run. But once they figured out that EVENTUALLY (6+ months), we were going to move away from SmartSheets altogether, they stopped helping and just ignored all emails asking for help. This process should have been extremely simple. We've had virtual meetings, exchanged emails for 3.5 MONTHS, and have had the issue (supposedly) 'upgraded' to a higher-up individual on 3 separate occasions -- and yet, still no resolution. Apparently, if you want any meaningful help with your account (technical or administrative) while already being an established Smartsheets customer, you have to pay MORE for any level of 'technical support'.

  ### 7. Smartsheet Streamlines Complex Licensing Workflows with Powerful Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Business Supplies and Equipment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

We use Smartsheet to manage foster home licensing, approvals, documentation tracking, and workflow coordination. Overall, it has been an effective tool for organizing complex processes that involve multiple staff, deadlines, and compliance requirements.

**User Interface / User Experience (UI/UX)**
Smartsheet has a clean and familiar spreadsheet-style interface, which makes it relatively easy for new users to learn. The ability to switch between grid, card, calendar, and dashboard views helps different team members work in the format that best suits their role. While some advanced features can take time to learn, the overall user experience is intuitive and helps keep large amounts of information organized.

**Integrations**
Smartsheet integrates well with common business tools such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and cloud storage platforms. These integrations help reduce duplicate data entry and improve communication between departments. Automated notifications and workflows also help keep projects moving without relying solely on email communication.

**Performance**
Performance has generally been reliable. Sheets load quickly, updates occur in real time, and multiple users can collaborate simultaneously. This is especially helpful when tracking licensing requirements, document collection, and home approval statuses across multiple staff members and locations.

**Pricing / Return on Investment (ROI)**
While Smartsheet may represent a significant investment depending on the size of the organization, the time savings gained through workflow automation, centralized tracking, reporting, and improved accountability provide strong value. The platform helps reduce administrative burden and improves visibility into work progress, which supports more efficient operations.

**Support / Onboarding**
The onboarding process is straightforward for users familiar with spreadsheets. Smartsheet provides helpful training materials, tutorials, and knowledge base resources. Customer support has been responsive when assistance is needed, and there is a strong library of documentation available for troubleshooting and learning advanced features.

**AI / Intelligence**
The AI capabilities continue to evolve and show promise for helping summarize information, generate formulas, identify trends, and automate repetitive tasks. These features have the potential to further improve efficiency by reducing manual work and helping users quickly analyze data. As AI functionality expands, it could become an even more valuable part of the platform.

**Overall**
Smartsheet is a versatile project and workflow management platform that provides strong visibility, collaboration, and organization capabilities. It has been particularly valuable for managing complex licensing and compliance processes where multiple stakeholders, deadlines, and documentation requirements must be tracked accurately.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

While Smartsheet is a powerful platform, there are some areas where it could be improved.

User Interface / User Experience (UI/UX)
Although the spreadsheet-style layout is familiar, some advanced features are not always intuitive. New users may need additional training to fully understand workflows, automation rules, dashboards, and reporting functions. Certain tasks require navigating through multiple menus, which can create a learning curve.

Integrations
Smartsheet integrates with many common business applications, but some integrations require additional setup, premium connectors, or administrative support. Organizations with highly customized systems may need extra effort to achieve seamless integration.

Performance
Performance is generally strong, but very large sheets with extensive automation, formulas, attachments, or linked data can occasionally become slower to load and manage. Complex workflows may also require ongoing maintenance to ensure everything functions as intended.

Pricing / ROI
For smaller organizations or teams, pricing can be a challenge. Some advanced features, connectors, and premium capabilities are only available in higher-tier plans, which can increase overall costs. Organizations need to actively utilize the platform's automation and reporting features to maximize return on investment.

Support / Onboarding
Basic onboarding is straightforward, but fully understanding the platform's advanced capabilities can take time. Users often need additional training to take advantage of automation, dashboards, and reporting. While support resources are available, some organizations may benefit from more hands-on implementation guidance during initial setup.

AI / Intelligence
The AI features are promising but still developing. While they can assist with summaries, formulas, and workflow recommendations, they may not yet provide the same level of advanced intelligence found in some newer AI-focused platforms. There is still room for growth in predictive analytics and more sophisticated automation suggestions.

Overall
The biggest challenge with Smartsheet is balancing its flexibility with its complexity. It offers a wide range of capabilities, but organizations may need dedicated time for training, setup, and process design to fully realize its value. Once implemented effectively, the benefits often outweigh these challenges, but there can be a learning curve for new users.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps our organization solve several key business challenges related to licensing, compliance tracking, and workflow management.

The biggest problem it solves is visibility and organization of complex processes. Licensing a foster home involves numerous steps, including applications, background checks, training requirements, home studies, inspections, document collection, approvals, and ongoing renewals. Smartsheet provides a centralized location where staff can track progress and quickly identify outstanding items.

It also helps address communication and coordination challenges. Multiple team members, supervisors, and departments may be involved in the licensing process. Smartsheet allows everyone to access current information, reducing confusion, duplicate work, and reliance on lengthy email chains.

Another important benefit is deadline and compliance management. Automated reminders, task assignments, and status tracking help ensure required documents, certifications, and licensing activities are completed on time. This reduces the risk of missed deadlines and improves accountability.

Smartsheet also helps solve reporting and oversight challenges. Leadership can quickly view dashboards and reports to understand licensing pipelines, caseloads, pending approvals, upcoming renewals, and workload distribution without manually compiling data from multiple sources.

Finally, the platform improves operational efficiency by reducing manual tracking and administrative work. Instead of maintaining separate spreadsheets or paper records, staff can manage information within a single system, allowing more time to focus on supporting foster families and children.

Overall, Smartsheet helps us improve organization, communication, compliance tracking, accountability, and efficiency across our licensing and home management processes.

  ### 8. Flexible and Robust Platform Boosting Team Collaboration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ADITYA B. | Associate Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like Smartsheet's ability to combine project management, collaboration, and workflow automation into a single platform. The spreadsheet-style interface is easy to use without a steep learning curve, making it intuitive for task management. I find the automation features particularly beneficial as they reduce repetitive manual work by handling reminders, updates, and approvals, enhancing team efficiency. The dashboards and reporting tools are great for quick project visibility and tracking. I appreciate the real-time collaboration features that allow team members to share updates, assign tasks, and communicate within the same workspace. The flexibility to customize workflows and dashboards to specific project requirements is also a strong point. Additionally, Smartsheet integrates well with tools like Microsoft Teams, Slack, Jira, and Google Workspace, which makes communication and workflow continuity smoother across different platforms. Overall, I enjoy the balance between usability, flexibility, and productivity that Smartsheet offers.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

One area where Smartsheet could improve is in the advanced reporting and dashboard customization capabilities. While the current reporting features are useful for general project tracking and visibility, there are times when more flexibility in filters, visualizations, and data presentation would make the platform even more powerful for complex workflows and analytics requirements. Another challenge is that some advanced automation setups and large-scale workflow configurations can feel slightly complex for new users at first. Performance can also occasionally slow down when working with very large sheets containing extensive data, multiple automations, or numerous linked dependencies. Additionally, certain integrations work very well, but deeper customization and synchronization options with third-party tools could make cross-platform collaboration even smoother.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet centralizes project tracking and team communication, reducing manual follow-ups and confusion. It enhances visibility, accountability, and productivity with real-time updates, automation, and dashboards, allowing focus on execution over admin tasks.

  ### 9. Efficient All-in-One Project Management Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2020

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like how Smartsheet makes it easy to track and log plans and schedules in one place. I appreciate the notification and reminders features, which allow me to connect with my stakeholders effectively. I don't have to go into too many different places to retrieve what I need, which makes my workflow smoother. It's also convenient that Smartsheet allows us to store project plans, schedules, and artifacts in the cloud rather than having to send them as attachments.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I think the dashboard feature is nice, but the editing can be difficult sometimes.

**Recommendations to others considering Smartsheet:**

Worth checking out as a great tool for inter-department collaboration!

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet to connect with stakeholders through notifications and track start and end dates along with completion percentages all in one place, which saves me from searching in multiple locations.

  ### 10. Smartsheet Keeps Our Team Organized with Real-Time Visibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

It provides a central place to track tasks, monitor progress, and collaborate with the team. The real-time updates and visibility help us stay organized, improve accountability, and manage workloads more efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

One of the challenges with Smartsheet is that it can become difficult to manage when there are many sheets and frequent updates. It can also be time-consuming to navigate between different sheets, and filtering or searching for specific information isn't always as intuitive as it could be. Performance can sometimes slow down with larger sheets, making day-to-day work less efficient.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It centralizes task tracking and team collaboration, making it easier to monitor progress, manage workloads, and ensure accountability. This helps us stay organized, reduce missed tasks, and work more efficiently.

  ### 11. User-Friendly and More Robust than Excel

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vince Dustien C. | Global Data Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet provides a user-friendly and reliable platform with strong integration capabilities, valuable AI and automation features, helpful onboarding and support resources, and pricing that delivers good value by offering greater visibility, collaboration, and functionality than traditional spreadsheet tools like Microsoft Excel.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Nothing specific since it works perfectly in our team.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet for data and work management because it provides a user-friendly, reliable, and high-performing platform that gives us a clear visual of our accounts, supports client outreach efforts, and makes accessing and managing information easy; compared to our previous use of Excel, Smartsheet offers greater depth, efficiency, and overall ease of use.

  ### 12. Smartsheet is a powerful project management and collaboration platform that helps teams organize tasks, track progress, and automate workflows. Its spreadsheet-like interface makes it easy to use, while dashboards, reporting tools, and integrations improve productivity. It is especially useful for managing projects, timelines, and team communication efficiently.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John J. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I really like Smartsheet's ease of use and flexibility, especially its project tracking dashboards, automated workflows, and real-time collaboration features that help keep teams organized and informed. The customizable reports and notifications are also a great feature, making it easier to monitor deadlines, track progress, and improve overall productivity. Additionally, integrating Smartsheet with other tools helps streamline communication, share files, track project data, and improve collaboration across teams.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

One area where Smartsheet could improve is its pricing, which can be expensive for smaller teams or organizations. Some advanced features also have a learning curve and may require additional training for new users. Additionally, the reporting and dashboard customization options could be more intuitive and offer greater flexibility for complex projects.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Smartsheet helps in tracking project deadlines, coordinating tasks, and maintaining project visibility. It reduces scattered updates from emails and spreadsheets, making it easier to identify delays. The scheduling tools and automated reminders keep projects on track and improve accountability.

  ### 13. Smartsheet Makes Project Tracking Simple and Familiar

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julian B. | PC Test Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet has helped us improve the way we track our projects, including key milestones and achievements. With its familiar spreadsheet-style interface, it’s straightforward to enter, update, and manage data without needing to learn an entirely new product or build new skills just to get started.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The licensing costs are a concern, especially since there isn’t a free tier available for using even very simple features.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It supports cross-team collaboration on projects by giving everyone access to the same set of features. It also makes it easier to organize and track project-related documents and pull metrics, so we can quickly see how our projects are performing at a glance.

  ### 14. Centralized, Trackable Content Sharing That Beats Outdated Excel Tables

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christie B. | Training Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Sharing online content that can be tracked and used by multiple users across different roles. All relevant information for these roles can be stored in a singular location, each user just refers to data relevant for them. Tracking function is useful for projects and assignments opposed to outdated excel tables. Help articles are easy to find and refer to for support.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Creating new workspaces can be time consuming when setting column types according to needs. Sometimes I feel like I don't utilize the full capabilities of the platform as I'm not aware of them i.e. integrating with other tools.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to share information live. Needed a location outside of locked team folders to share relevant information to other teams, this allows us to do that.

  ### 15. Built-In Templates and Functions That Boost Efficiency

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

The built-in templates and functions make my job much more efficient, instead of having to start from scratch in an Excel sheet.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I wish the buttons, and the icons on those buttons, matched what’s shown in Excel more closely. As it is, it can be confusing to figure out what each button does and where to find the one you’re looking for.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it for scheduling and for updating our TSCD matrix on my construction project. The schedule has built-in functions that let me create relationships between activities, add durations, set holidays, and more, and Smartsheet then shows the start and end dates. Everything is organized in a WBS and displayed in a Gantt chart. The TSCD matrix also makes it easy to add, edit, or delete TSCD items, as well as update their attributes and statuses.

  ### 16. Powerful Scheduling and Automation, but Copy/Paste Buffer Issues Can Frustrate

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Publishing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I really like how Smartsheet can be used to create complex schedules with multiple dependencies. I also find the reporting features very useful.

Some of the automation features are extremely helpful as well, such as automatically sending email notifications triggered by specific conditions.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

It’s quite annoying that Smartsheet quickly “forgets” copied content. The clipboard is cleared almost immediately and doesn’t retain the copied data beyond a single action.

For example, if you copy a row and refresh the page before pasting it — or perform any other action instead of pasting immediately — the copied row is lost. It’s really inconvenient that you can’t perform additional actions between copying and pasting without risking losing the copied data.

I also don’t like that cells don’t have their own independent addresses. If you need to reference a cell or column in a formula, you have to type the column header instead. This process is quite fiddly, especially since column headers can be fairly long. It would be much more convenient to have a standard letter-number grid similar to Excel (e.g. A1, B5, etc.).

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheets are a great solution for projects with complex schedules and workflows. They are user-friendly and easy to use, even if you are not very good with spreadsheets.

  ### 17. Smartsheet Streamlines Complex Approvals with Automated Workflows and Forms

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

What I like most about Smartsheet is its ability to automate complex workflows and approval processes. We use it for payment request approvals across multiple departments, and it significantly improves control, transparency, and efficiency. I especially appreciate how easy it is to collect data through forms while keeping the approval chain structured and automated.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The biggest downside for me is access management. Standard sharing options are quite limited when you need to provide restricted access to external users. Dynamic View solves this issue, but unfortunately it significantly increases the overall cost.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps us solve process inefficiencies caused by manual approvals and email-based communication. We use it to automate payment request workflows across multiple departments, ensuring proper approval hierarchy, document collection, and full transparency. As a result, we save significant time, reduce human errors, and improve financial control over company spending.

  ### 18. Smartsheet excels at timeline management but falls short as a broad marketing operations platform

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lila G. | Programme Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet is genuinely strong for timeline and Gantt-style project tracking. For campaigns with linear dependencies and defined milestones, the grid view is intuitive for users who think in spreadsheet terms, and the timeline visualization gives stakeholders a clear view of where projects stand. For straightforward project tracking with a team that already works in Excel-like environments, it gets the job done without much configuration overhead.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Outside of timeline management, Smartsheet struggles to flex to the varied ways marketing operations teams actually work. Rollout across teams with different working styles and technical comfort levels is genuinely difficult — the interface doesn't adapt well, and adoption tends to be inconsistent as a result. Workflow automation is limited compared to dedicated work management platforms, and building more complex operational systems in Smartsheet requires significant workarounds that create technical debt over time. It works well as a single-purpose tool but doesn't scale effectively as a marketing operations backbone.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet serves a narrow but real use case for our team — primarily as a timeline and milestone tracking tool for campaign planning. Where it adds value is in giving stakeholders a familiar, spreadsheet-adjacent view of project schedules, which reduces friction for people who aren't comfortable with more complex work management interfaces. However, the benefits are limited in scope. It handles linear project tracking reasonably well but doesn't solve the broader operational challenges marketing teams face — cross-functional workflow management, dynamic resource planning, intake routing, or campaign operating model design. In practice, we've found it works best as a supplementary planning view rather than a primary operations platform. The core limitation is that Smartsheet solves for visibility into timelines but not for the operational complexity underneath them. Teams end up doing significant manual work outside the tool to compensate for what it doesn't handle, which offsets much of the efficiency gain it provides.

  ### 19. User-Friendly, Fast, with a Refreshing Interface

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I use Smartsheet for maintaining office updates in a shared format. I find it easy to update, and I appreciate the auto-save feature and knowing who is accessing it at the same time. The ease of creating a sheet and transitioning from Excel formatting shortcuts to Smartsheet uses is something I like. It's easy to load and operates at a speed that helps in getting real-world data from the team quickly. The look and feel of Smartsheet are refreshing, and the initial setup was mindblowingly easy.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I found the mobile version difficult to use, specifically in filling series in adjacent cells. I expect a feature like double-tap to fill down columns or rows with 'fill data'.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet for maintaining office updates in a shared format. It's easy to update, auto-saves, and lets me see who is accessing at the same time, making it seamless to get real-world data from the team quickly.

  ### 20. Powerful All-in-One Project Platform, but Automation and Dashboards Need Refinement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greg H. | system analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

It combines automated workflows, real-time dashboards, Gantt charts, and collaborative sheet sharing in one platform, helping keep teams aligned and projects moving efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

It can be frustrating at times because the automation rules can become complex to maintain. Cell-linking also tends to break when you’re working across larger workspaces, and the dashboards don’t offer much in the way of deeper customization.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It pulls all your work into one place, lets you connect it with other tools like Teams and Salesforce, and still runs quickly even when your sheets get large. That way, your team can stay organized without having to fight the system.

  ### 21. good and beginner friendly—But can be way better with some tiny changes

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

first, all of the things that make it similar to excel. then: that it's online. that multiple people can work on a sheet at the same time without any trouble. that it's not having issues with the dozens of other software that run on my company laptop (unlike some other SaaS tools). also that access management is easy and straightforwars. i use sheets, reports, dashboards, , forms, and callendars. dashboards are great in terms of how many different items you can integrate into them, that could also be said about sheets where you can attach items to the individual rows. in terms of pricing, when i got the first license i believe that it costed around 200 dollars or euros a year per user, i found it to be a bit too much, especially for a company with thousands of users, i know that most users in project management, like myself, don't use many of the features like pivot, data shuttle, mesh, and that might be an opportunity to offer a more basic package at a competitive price. i did have an issue once as i switched company E-Mail (John.doe to John.doe1) and i don't i remember that the support was quiet fast, not sure if it was helpful but i do know that they answered quickly which was appreciated. in terms of artificail intelligence , i don't know of any new AI features, mostly because i'm currently burried in work to discover the newest features but anything that will make life easier is welcome.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

3 things:
callendars integration in dashboards: often when i log into my dashboards, i see that i have no direct access to the callendars that i've already integrated, the title is there, the interface is kind of there, meaning the space exists, but my particular callendar isn't open, i have to browse the callendars list and open it almost every time or every day. beyond that, it'd be nice if people that have access to the dashboard automatically gain access to all dahsboard items, becuase for some senior management members it's challenging to request access to the callendar that's in the dashboard.
attachments is sheets: attachments are great but i'd be better if they were more visible, at least if there was the option to make them more visible, either by changing the color of the attachment icon in the rows or another way
Conditional formatting: it's frustrating that you can't apply 1 rule to the entire sheet, that could be an option that could be ticked when creating the sheet. My issue is that i work in project management, and most of what i do is try to capture requirements from different stekeholder, so my life looks like this: i create a sheet/report/dahsboard with what i think the stakeholder wants then 95% of the time they either ask for edits, or they realize that the requirements are to be interpreted in a completely different way which means i need to create a completely different sheet/report/dashboard with different structure. this means that most of the sheets/dahsboards i make, are not used, so then i think to myself, i have this sheet with 40 columns, i want this rule to be applied to all columns, i could expand the effort and create 40 identical rules for the columns but i know that there's a good change that the sheet doesn't get deployed, so i end up finding another way of doing things.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

online collaboration
integration of documents into sheets
smart dashboards with tons of input options
real time updates and one single version of every file (no multiple versions)

  ### 22. Intuitive and well-priced, but limited integrations and internal buy-in challenges

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like the intuitive interface that anyone who has used excel will be able to use at a base level. The ability to be able to set up automations simply and fast was helpful when self-learning in the beginning. The tool has been around for some time so a lot of resources online to help if I have any queries. It seems relatively well-priced for the entry level plan compared to other products.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

People within the organisation have a negative view of the tool often saying it a glorified spreadsheet. It has been an uphill battle to stop the tool from being cancelled. I am using some base-level functionality as I dont have time to spend learning about advanced features. I often came up with road blocks around the lack of integration with our other systems, but learnt to just put up with it and expect little as I know the company would not invest in a more advanced version of the tool. Lacking AI element like other tools, unless it has recently been added. Would be good to be able to ask AI to help with building reports and dashboards. Due to not many people using the tool it cannot be used for collaboration.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is our only project management tool so I have been able to create and use a lot of template for managing software projects. I also use it as a productivity tool to manage my to-do list. In the past it was used for reporting, but that has fallen to the wayside as we keep our data in other. systems, and only a select few people in the organisation have access to and use Smartsheet. I have not experienced any speed issues or anything related to overall performance.

  ### 23. Smartsheet Automation and Integrations That Boost Efficiency

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Utilities | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I really like how Smartsheet workflows are automated. Users submit forms and Smartsheet is able to auto assign those forms to the correct team. It has increased our efficiency by tenfold. It is also so easy to mesh different sheets together. The onboarding process is super easy too. The UI is very easy to use. Way better than excel! We also are able to seamlessly Integrate data from other software and excel database very quickly.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Some things like the cut feature doesn't seem to work well. If i cut a line it doesnt tend to make the row numbers continue. For example you cut row 97 then it just shows row 96 and 98 no new row 97. Sometimes smartsheet crashes on our users which isn't fun but its still much better than excel. It also sometimes is hard to mesh sheets without losing data due to improper meshing.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving our efficiency issues. It also makes it very easy to see what tasks and jobs we have assigned to employees and compare data quickly.

  ### 24. Robust Automations, Task Management, and Easy Team Collaboration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Willbarn R. | Import Export Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

It offers many automations along with task management and job-assignment features. It can store clickable links, data, and files, and is easy to share with colleagues so teams can work together on the same platform.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I haven't come across anything I don't like as such; using it on a daily basis provides ample solutions and offers many reliable options consistently.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instead of using a manual, app-based approach, Smart sheet automation allows tasks to be organized and assigned to the relevant team members, sends email updates about progress, and makes data easy to maintain and share.

  ### 25. Great for Collaboration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Beth S. | Controller, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet is intuitive and easy to navigate, with a spreadsheet-like layout that will feel familiar to anyone who's used spreadsheets. It's straightforward to organize projects and tasks, collaborate with team members, track progress, and keep everyone aligned, which makes coordinating work easier. Overall, it helps teams stay on the same page throughout a project.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The interface can feel overwhelming at first because there are so many features and customization options.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet centralizes project information, making it simpler to track tasks, meet deadlines, and monitor overall project progress, while also enhancing collaboration and visibility across teams.

  ### 26. Streamlined Project Management, Needs Better Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alonzo F. | Senior Travel Manager, Leisure, Travel & Tourism, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet has really improved visibility over our travel project pipeline with its trackers and dashboards, so I'm not chasing status updates anymore. The forms have turned endless email chains into a clean, trackable workflow, and my team collaborates more easily now that everyone looks at the same live data. I love the dashboard visibility, as I can see every active itinerary, approval status, and supplier deadline in one place without having to chase updates. Building trackers and forms is super quick, and I've created ones in an afternoon that would have taken weeks in a shared spreadsheet. Since switching from Google Sheets and Excel, the automation features have saved my team hours every week. The initial setup of Smartsheet was very easy, and we've integrated it with Outlook for calendar syncing and approval notifications.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The main problem for me is the lack of solid integration with our SAP setup. I'm forever bouncing between Smartsheet and SAP, copying figures back and forth just to make sure the travel budgets actually match what finance has on their end. Managing schedules alongside budget tracking, vendor costs, and labor allocation in one view is harder than it should be, and I usually end up exporting data just to make it all line up.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet provides visibility over our project pipeline, transforms emails into a trackable workflow, and enables real-time collaboration with live data.

  ### 27. Real-Time Updates and Fast, User-Friendly Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marina C. | Social Services Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like how it shows real time updates and allows me to collaborate with my colleagues on a fast and user friendly level.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The only thing i dis like is that sometimes, for large documents specifically, its difficult to read. I wish the user interface would be made simpler so tat these larger documents could be more user friendly and easier to interpreted. Sometimes the notifications, tool bar etc. get a little bit overwhelming.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It puts everything all in one place! Before my company had multiple different areas where we would store documents. Especially physical copies which made it difficult to send to some collages who were located in other offices. Smartsheet saves us a drive and a headache!

  ### 28. Easy Vendor Collaboration with Tasks, Updates, and Large File Sharing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like how easy it is to collaborate with external vendors—assigning tasks, tagging users, sending request updates, and attaching large files—without the process feeling complicated.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I don't love the filter feature, I wish you could easily filter multiple columns as you can in Excel. I also wish they had the ability to calculate the internal rate of return. We use this metric for every project, and I currently have to calculate the value in Excel and then paste it into Smartsheet. If cost or savings estimates change, my IRR is then out of date and I have to remember to update it manually instead of it automatically updating.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It streamlines meetings by keeping the agenda and action items easily accessible for everyone. We can quickly add meeting comments and notes, assign tasks, and attach relevant files, which helps avoid unnecessary emails that often get lost.

  ### 29. Easy All-in-One Project Tracking with Time-Saving Automation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like how easy it is to keep everything in one place. I can track projects, assign tasks, and see updates in real time without digging through emails. The automation saves me a ton of time on repetitive stuff too

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The learning curve can be steep at first, some features aren't obvious and take a while to figure out. It can also feel slow when working with really large sheets, and some of the more useful features are locked behind higher priced plans.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the problem of scattered information. Before, project updates lived in emails, spreadsheets, and chat messages, and things slipped through the cracks. Now everything's in one place, so my team always knows who's doing what and when it's due. It's saved me hours each week on status updates and follow-ups, and deadlines get missed way less often

  ### 30. Smartsheet Keeps Our Departments Organized—Fast, Easy, and Great Value

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Business Supplies and Equipment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I love the organization it provides for our multiple departments. The system is extremely easy to use and understand. It blends easily into our day to day tasks and helps navigate the workload. Considering the mass amount of uploads we have, the system always works quickly and never lags or causes any issues when saving. The price is well worth the value. The onboarding was easy to understand and thoughroughly covered every aspect needed for new hires. The AI support is an added bonus when needing that extra assistance or explanation.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I would say our biggest issue with Smartsheet is the lack of ability to control columns or rows when having so many users actively on it. Changes that one indivual makes affects all other users.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet has provided the huge assistance of connecting our multiple departments onto one unified sheet.

  ### 31. Easy Task Tracking and Time-Saving Automation for Efficient Project Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rakesh Sharma c. | Sr. Analyst, Transportation/Trucking/Railroad, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

It's easy to organize tasks, track progress, and keep teams aligned. The automation features and customizable dashboards save a lot of time, making project management much more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Large sheets can occasionally experience performance issues, and some useful functionality is restricted to premium plans. Despite these limitations, it's a robust tool for managing projects and workflows.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Features such as automated workflows, real-time reporting, dashboards, and integrations with other business tools have significantly improved our productivity. It’s been especially helpful for managing complex projects while still maintaining clear visibility into deadlines and deliverables.

  ### 32. Great Data Visibility, Needs Better Filtering

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamie E. | Compliance Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I use Smartsheet for reporting and logging data, and it provides visibility over our data. I like that I can attach documents to our log, keeping all our data in one place, instead of searching through my emails for attachments. The initial setup for our team was easy peasy.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Filtering. I have to use both Smartsheet and Excel because the filtering option sucks. If I need to sort through all the data I logged, then I have to export to Excel. If I could filter down my columns without exporting, then I might be a full-on Smartsheet user instead of having to do both.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet provides visibility over our data and allows us to attach documents directly, keeping all information in one place instead of having to search through emails.

  ### 33. RO smart sheet analyst

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cristina A. | RO Smart sheet Business analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

The upsides of using smart sheet is being able to have all data in one location for various teams to work.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The downside id say with AI getting bigger and bigger I think adding more AI to the smart sheets would be beneficial. This could help users that are non tech savvy or lack smart sheet experience. Maybe better pricing so that our company can purchase more tools. Performance wise id say the allowance of rows each sheet can handle.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smart sheet has solved many problems for me and our team such as hosting the the trainings for smart sheet. The dynamic view function is a BIG one for us as it allows us to assign work and its not manipulated.

  ### 34. Smartsheet Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I really like that you can set up workflows where you can map/copy between sheets and set up email notifications and approvals.

I also really like using and creating forms in Smartsheet. They are very easy to use and set up logic. I think it'll help users adapt to a new business process within our organization.

I would be interested in finding out more about form creation and workflows, maybe more advanced features.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I don't like that you can't set up a workflow to copy/map a column(s) from one sheet to another, you have to copy the entire row with every column.

I also don't like that you can't drag a formula down a column and have the formula update to reference each row (like you can in excel). If you copy a formula down or make it a column formula, the formula stays exactly the same in every row.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are trying to document our processes and have one shared place when we comment/communicate about a project/job.

  ### 35. Smartsheet - Usage Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet is a great software as it feels incredibly familiar given the very basics of use is essentially an excel sheet. It was very easy to understand Smartsheet and subsequently easy to introduce and teach others. The program also comes with a huge range of features that allows you to modify as you see fit for your needs.
Sign up process was easy and straight forward. At this stage, I am using Smartsheet to track all sorts of projects and use it everyday.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

While it is a good thing for the program to come with a big range of features, this can also be seen as a downfall for some. There are a huge number of possibilities on how you can edit or amend in an attempt to suit what you need, however, this can feel overwhelming at times.
There are some features that I wish were much more straightforward (i.e click of a button) - however, sometimes it takes additional effort to create.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a huge number of projects, each with its own set of tasks lists and unique processes. Using Smartsheet is allowing us to track every single project and know exactly where things are at, who is working on what, who had worked on what and so much more.

  ### 36. Intuitive and Template Rich Platform That Simplifies Team Collaboration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

For the most part, Smartsheet is very easy to use and intuitive. There is a slight learning curve in understanding some of the more advanced functions and how best to implement them, but overall, no formal training is required. This is particularly beneficial when working across large teams or with users who may not be highly familiar with technology.
One of the standout features for me is the range of pre-set templates available. They are well structured, visually clear, and easy to customise, which makes it straightforward to get started quickly. The inclusion of visual indicators also helps improve usability and clarity across projects.
I was not directly involved in the pricing process, so I cannot comment in detail on cost versus value. However, based on feedback I’ve heard, the platform represents good value for money - particularly in a commercial environment. From a user perspective, onboarding was simple and getting started was seamless.
One area for improvement is the account setup and login process. It is easy to overlook the region selection (e.g. America, Australia), which can lead to duplicate accounts and unnecessary administrative effort if not identified early. This issue can also occur during login, so improving the visibility and clarity of the region selection would help minimise confusion and reduce potential inefficiencies.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

One of the key strengths of Smartsheet is the ability to integrate multiple sheet types and document formats within a single platform, such as tracking sheets, programs, notes, and task trackers. This allows information to be centrally managed and easily shared across teams, which greatly improves transparency and collaboration.
Without this level of integration, projects would typically rely on multiple standalone files stored across servers, making them difficult to track and manage. The centralisation offered by Smartsheet is therefore a significant advantage, particularly on larger projects and within bigger teams.
I also find the ability to interlink documents within sheets very useful, as it enables quick navigation and improves overall efficiency when working across related information.
On the downside, some of the more advanced features can be complex to navigate and require additional time to fully understand and implement, especially compared to the simpler preset templates. There are also instances where certain advanced functionality may rely on additional configuration or higher-tier features, which can limit accessibility depending on how the platform is set up.
In terms of usability, the default formatting of basic sheets can feel quite plain and could benefit from more visual customisation options.
Additionally, the lack of automatic saving can be an issue. It is easy to forget to manually save changes while working, which creates a risk of losing progress. An auto-save function would be a valuable improvement.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In our experience, Smartsheet provides access to multiple features and tools within a single platform that would otherwise require separate software licences for individual users. This has been particularly valuable in a team environment where access to specialised software (such as dedicated programming tools) is limited to certain users.
For example, we recently needed to develop a program but did not have broad access to traditional scheduling software like MS Project. Smartsheet’s built-in Gantt chart functionality allowed us to create and manage the program efficiently, with multiple team members contributing at the same time. The interface was straightforward enough that we were able to complete the task with only basic knowledge, avoiding the need to source additional licences or navigate lengthy approval processes.
Another feature I find highly beneficial is the ability to access Smartsheet from anywhere with an internet connection. This offers greater flexibility compared to server-based documents, which can have access restrictions depending on location or network permissions. In addition, updates within Smartsheet are reflected almost immediately, whereas server-based files can take time to sync, particularly when multiple users are working on them.
One recommendation I would make relates to column usability. When multiple labels are added, such as assigning tasks to individuals by full name, it becomes difficult to view all entries unless the column is widened. Introducing a “wrap text” function that carries content onto a new line within the same cell would significantly improve readability, particularly when working within narrower column widths.
Overall, Smartsheet has performed well for our team, and we have not experienced any noticeable lag issues to date. That said, we will continue to test its performance on larger and more complex projects.

  ### 37. Excellent Project Organization, But Site Reports Need More Detail

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Environmental Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

As i am involved in planning and managing our projects, Smartsheet is great for the overall organization of all the different aspects to our specific projects. From the carrying out of the project, to claiming and invoicing for that project, Smartsheets helps to keep everything tidy and organized. Being able to have different portfolio reports for the different aspects of our projects really helps to keep on top of everything and not get overwhelmed by the overall scope of a project. Being able to construct site reports from the app is also a handy tool for our projects, to know how they are going and to send to the clients.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The main thing that i dislike about Smartsheets is the restricting amount of detail that we can get into our site reports. For example, we are only able to put four photos onto a report, and we are unable to annotate on these photos for greater detail. With greater need for detail on reports in our market, it would be ideal if we were able to annotate our photos, as well as adding more than four photos onto one report.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As i am new to KauriPark, i don't truly understand the problems they were needing to solve when they signed up for Smartsheet's. Because of this cannot give you truly reliable feedback on what Smartsheet's is solving for KauriPark.

  ### 38. Real-Time Collaboration That Keeps a Team in Sync

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael J. | Senior Graphic Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

The ability for multiple people to chat and see, in real time, what tasks are being completed.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The app, when refreshed through Windows, returns to the first entry in the spreadsheet. We now have thousands of entries in our spreadsheet, and it's a pain in the bum having to repeatedly find whichever entry I was reviewing.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to see any updates to the spreadsheet in real time ensures that every stakeholder is working from the same information. Keeping all input information organized eliminates the chaos of multiple people having information available only to themselves.

  ### 39. Intuitive and Effective, But AI Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kim Cember C. | Enrolments Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I use Smartsheet for work, reporting, and tracking items. It helps me solve formulas and automations. I like that Smartsheet has automation features where emails can be sent to relevant people based on work completed. What I like most about Smartsheet is it's very intuitive. Even though I've only been using it for a year, I already know the ins and outs, especially with my line of work. I like how you can organize folders into workspaces. I would highly recommend Smartsheet because it's easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I think Smartsheet could improve on their AI and how you could use formulas or things that you wanted to do. Sometimes I would have to go to another AI, which is Claude, just to help me formulate the formula that I need. When I'm using Smartsheet, it doesn't really work their AI. Function doesn't really work well for me. So I think that could be improved.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet to solve formulas and automations, and I like how it sends automated emails based on task completion.

  ### 40. Streamlined Project Management with Intuitive Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I really like how Smartsheet is smart in a way that not everyone needs a license to be able to use its functionalities. I find it quite helpful to create forms for our clients to capture any concerns they have on the project, like during UAT testing. I can set up issue trackers that clients can fill out, and it comes back to me or gets assigned to the right team members. It's great that clients can submit forms even without a license, and they can comment on some of the reports, which helps me manage and communicate effectively with the project manager on the client side. These features are pretty cool, and I like them a lot.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I feel like Smartsheet is missing an AI feature. When I'm using something like a PowerPoint deck or a Word document, I can use Copilot to make enhancements or create things for me just by asking it to. Smartsheet doesn't have that feature right now. I like dashboards, but they take a lot of time to create. It would be great to have an AI assistant within Smartsheet where I could ask it to take reference from an issue tracker and create a dashboard showing how many issues have been submitted, their status, a graphical representation, and more. I currently have to do all of that manually, and it takes a lot of time. Also, I have trouble integrating Smartsheet with Outlook, which leads me to manually capture information from my Outlook emails and feed it into Smartsheet, and that takes a lot of time.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet to track tasks, monitor timelines, and notify stakeholders. It helps manage project dependencies, resource allocation, and efficiency. The forms allow easy issue tracking without email overload, enhancing communication with clients and streamlining team coordination through automated notifications.

  ### 41. Streamlining Project Management and Team Collaboration with Smartsheet

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet has become a core part of how our team manages projects, timelines, and cross-functional collaboration. The UI is intuitive enough for new users to get started quickly, while still being powerful for more advanced workflows. I especially like the grid, card, and Gantt views because they make it easy to adapt the workspace depending on the type of project or audience.

One of the biggest benefits has been the automation features and integrations. Automated alerts, approval requests, and status updates save our team hours of manual follow-up every week. The integrations with tools like Microsoft Teams, Google Workspace, and Power BI also help keep information centralized and accessible without constantly switching platforms.

Performance has been reliable even with large project sheets and multiple collaborators working simultaneously. Reporting dashboards give leadership real-time visibility into project progress, risks, and resource allocation, which has improved decision-making and accountability across teams.

From a pricing and ROI perspective, Smartsheet has delivered strong value by reducing manual processes and improving team coordination. The onboarding experience was straightforward, and there are plenty of templates and learning resources available to help teams adopt the platform quickly.

One unexpected benefit has been how customizable the platform is. Beyond project management, we’ve used Smartsheet for intake forms, workflow tracking, operational reporting, and process automation. The AI-powered features and intelligent automation suggestions are also becoming increasingly useful for streamlining repetitive tasks and improving productivity.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

One downside to Smartsheet is that some advanced features can feel overly complex and require a learning curve, especially when building large automations or detailed formulas. While the platform is powerful, navigating permissions, dependencies, and workflow configurations can sometimes become time-consuming for newer users.

The UI can also feel cluttered when managing very large sheets with a lot of columns, attachments, or automation rules. In some cases, performance slows down slightly with highly detailed project plans or dashboards that pull from multiple data sources.

Another challenge is pricing. While the platform delivers good value overall, certain premium capabilities and user licensing costs can add up quickly for growing teams. Some integrations and advanced reporting features are also locked behind higher-tier plans, which may limit smaller teams trying to scale efficiently.

Additionally, although the onboarding resources are solid, getting teams to fully adopt Smartsheet consistently across departments can take effort, especially for users who are more familiar with simpler spreadsheet tools like Excel or Google Sheets.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Smartsheet, our team struggled with keeping project updates, task ownership, and timelines organized across multiple spreadsheets and email threads. It was difficult to get real-time visibility into project status, which often caused delays, duplicate work, and missed follow-ups.

Since implementing Smartsheet, we’ve been able to centralize project management and automate many of our manual processes. Features like automated reminders, approval workflows, dashboards, and shared project tracking have significantly improved collaboration and accountability across teams. The Gantt charts and reporting tools also make it easier to identify bottlenecks early and keep stakeholders aligned on priorities and deadlines.

One of the biggest benefits has been the time savings. Tasks that previously required multiple emails and status meetings are now managed automatically within Smartsheet, helping our team work more efficiently and reduce administrative overhead. We’ve also improved visibility for leadership by providing real-time reporting and progress tracking in a single platform.

Additionally, Smartsheet has helped standardize workflows across departments, making onboarding and project execution much more consistent. The flexibility of the platform allows us to use it for everything from project planning and resource management to operational tracking and intake processes.

  ### 42. Intuitive UI, Solid Performance, and Easy Smartsheet-to-Power BI Integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like the ability to comment on rows in a grid.
The UI is intuitive and i enjoy using it.
I like that the integration from Smartsheet to Power BI is really easy.
I find the pricing to be a bit high for features like Dynamic Views.
The performance is solid.
The support has been very good since anytime i have an issue i can setup a meeting invite.
I do not use AI or Intelligence features.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I don't like the cost of Dynamic Views; its too high.
I dont like all the ways they are shoving AI in my face, without being explicit about what benefit the AI feature actually gives.
I don't like that I cant let someone have view only access to a Report without giving them access to the underlying data.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem Smartsheet is used for in our org is task management and tracking deadlines. This is something Smartsheet is a huge benefit to our team for.

  ### 43. Effortless Collaboration with Versatile Tracking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Siddhi M. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I love how user-friendly Smartsheet is; even if I'm using it for the first time, I can understand how to use it easily. I really appreciate the availability of multiple filters and how it allows me to track changes seamlessly. I enjoy the online availability, which means even if someone from the team is not available, I can see the last work they've done on Smartsheet. Also, multiple people can use it simultaneously. The variety in data tracking is another aspect I like a lot as it enhances our daily work tracking and allocation processes.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I don't like the data saving time. It takes a little longer to save the data.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet to track daily work and allocate tasks. It helps keep track of clients, calculate weekly productivity, and see the last work done if someone is unavailable. I like the ease of use, filters, and multiple user access to track changes without affecting others.

  ### 44. Seamless Forms-to-Sheets Integration with Powerful Dashboards and Smooth Onboarding

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

The integration across forms and sheets is seamless. Being able to create visual, live sheets that form a key part of our functional processes has been really valuable.

The dashboard feature has allowed us to consolidate all relevant information into central locations, that feature tracking, links and detail that we no longer have to sift through multiple reports for.

The feedback is responsive, with the performance and aid that is offered throughout the coding process creates an easy to use issue resolution.

I feel like I am getting my moneys worth for the programme, as it is central to a large variety of our functions.

The helpful detail when familiarising yourself with the programme allows for a smooth onboarding process, and AI integration across multiple areas is helpful.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Certain functions and automations could be more helpful.

I.e Time not existing as a function, ways to work around it but would help the UX.
Automation in terms of moving rows - the ability to move certain columns to a different sheet when criteria were met would be incredibly helpful.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Central data collection for reporting, consolidating all of our workstreams and allowing us to have readily accessible information that is easy to locate and find, having all information in one place allows us to experiment and create new tools that have not been used before.

  ### 45. Good for Team Visibility, Falls Short in ERP Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Frankline L. | Quality Inspector, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I have been using Smartsheet for project tracking and operational management. Its ability to provide good workflow visibility and task coordination stands out for me. I find it easy to create trackers and dashboards, which helps tremendously with collaboration across teams. The flexible forms and reporting features enable efficient tracking of approvals and project progress. Also, Smartsheet makes it easy to see work's progress and offers a good dashboard for reporting. We switched from Google Sheets and Excel due to its accessibility, automation, forms, and good dashboards.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I find Smartsheet's limited integration with ERP systems like SAP problematic. It makes it difficult to maintain a seamless connection between project execution, finance monitoring, and inventory movement. I also struggle with managing project schedules alongside finance, material, and labor.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet for project tracking and operational management, which enhances workflow visibility and task coordination. It excels in creating trackers and dashboards, ensuring good team collaboration, flexible forms and reporting, and helps in tracking approvals and project progress effortlessly.

  ### 46. Effortless Transition, Intuitive Interface

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vince Dustien C. | Global Data Management Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I find Smartsheet user-friendly and intuitive, making it easy even for newbies to use. It provides a visual of the data quickly, and it's effortless to update changes in client profiles. I like how customizable it is, allowing us to put a workspace for each section of our data and clients, which gives us easy access to everything. Transitioning data from Excel to Smartsheet was smooth, and I didn't encounter any problems. Setting up Smartsheet was super easy, as we could transfer all files and data with ease.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Nothing specific since everything that we need to use for Smartsheet has been laid out already upon transitioning.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet provides a quick visual of the data and is easy to use, simplifying client profile updates and personnel scheduling.

  ### 47. Customer service is horrendous; product is not superb

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

The ability to set up no-code automation workflows have allowed us to streamline processes by reducing manual work, and also send reminders, approvals, etc through

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

- Inability to lock specific cells
- Pivot app is not free. Excel pivots are free.
- Per user cost has increased so much since the subscription model change.
- Post-sales service is VERY poor. Last year our agreement was renewed without notification or any reach out from the sales team; we ended up paying for added apps that we didn't need for another year. This year we were also unable to remove the service we weren't using because we missed a stupid clause that requires us to inform them 30 days before the renewal date. This is a very onerous clause and is NOT standard practice. These past 2 years of renewal they have either not responded (despite us chasing), or been very slow on response --- seems like they are purposely dragging out time so that we fall under the category of "oh too bad you missed the renewal negotiation timeline".

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it for project management, and for our contractors to submit some forms. Frankly -- these can also be done on Microsoft or Google tools. Smartsheet does not have that much edge.

  ### 48. Flexible and Collaborative, Needs Better Navigation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I use Smartsheet at Toshiba Business Solutions to help organize our delivery schedule, and it works very well with our setup. I appreciate how Smartsheet keeps our daily schedule in order and available to our team anytime we want to see or look. I really like the flexibility of Smartsheet and all the options it has to offer. Having the option for several team members to have the app and see the schedule at any moment is a standout feature. Also, the initial setup of Smartsheet was as easy as opening it up.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

My main and pretty much only complaint is when I leave the app it goes back to the top/January. When I'm working at the bottom/Nov-Dec I have to scroll all the way down every time.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet to keep our delivery schedule in order and accessible anytime, offering flexibility and options. Multiple team members can view the schedule at any moment, ensuring everyone stays informed.

  ### 49. Streamlined Reporting with Collaboration Glitches

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charles S. | Security Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like that Smartsheet allows me to share information and status updates with people who don't use Smartsheet, making collaboration much easier. I also appreciate the reporting tools and the automated actions based on data, which simplify how I follow up on spreadsheets or track people to know their status. These features give me quick visibility at a glance on current project statuses without the need to interrupt or micromanage my staff. The automated forms are another feature I find beneficial for creating automation with ease.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I don't like how limited the cell linking feature is. Some tasks are overly complicated compared to Excel. There is a dumb hard limit on how many cells within a single worksheet I can refer to, which limits my ability to extract information on a single pane of glass detail. Also, user access was cumbersome due to the odd licensing nomenclature, and it's frankly odd that a user could bypass MFA.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet keeps my team informed of client progress collaboratively and monitors any stragglers. It simplifies tracking spreadsheets and people, providing quick visibility on the status without micromanaging staff.

  ### 50. Intuitive, Reliable Ticket Tracking That Keeps Cross-Functional Teams Aligned

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

This solution helps us keep track of project status and maintenance tickets across multiple functional, business, and IT teams, ensuring alignment and reducing the risk of items being missed.
From a UI/UX perspective, the interface is intuitive and makes it easy for users across different teams to quickly understand project status and take action without extensive training.
The platform supports strong integrations, allowing seamless coordination between systems and teams, which is critical for managing cross-functional workflows and tracking tickets end to end.
In terms of performance, it reliably handles ongoing updates and ticket tracking without noticeable delays, enabling teams to stay current on real-time progress.
Looking at pricing and ROI, the value comes from improved visibility, reduced manual follow-ups, and better coordination—ultimately saving time and increasing efficiency across teams.
For support and onboarding, the setup process is straightforward, and teams can begin using the tool quickly with minimal ramp-up, especially for users already familiar with similar workflows.
Finally, while not heavily dependent on advanced AI/intelligence features, the platform could benefit from additional automation or predictive insights to further enhance prioritization and workload management.
Overall, it is a highly effective solution for maintaining visibility and alignment across complex, multi-team initiatives.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

One downside is that some of the more advanced features aren’t very intuitive, which can make it harder for users to fully utilize the platform without additional guidance. There can also be a bit of a learning curve when navigating deeper functionality or configuring more complex workflows. Additionally, visibility is strong at a high level, but drilling into detailed insights or customizing views could be more flexible.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It streamlines project and ticket tracking across teams, reducing manual follow-ups and improving visibility into status and ownership. By centralizing updates and workflows, it helps prevent gaps in communication and ensures issues are identified and addressed more quickly.
