# Which Armory Management solutions provide real-time inventory visibility and automated alerts for missing weapons?

<p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">We wanted to know which <a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/armory-management">Armory Management</a> solutions provide real-time inventory visibility and automated alerts for missing weapons specifically, since "automated alert" is a much narrower claim than "trackable inventory," plenty of tools log data, fewer actively flag a gap.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Here's what came up for each:</p><ol>

Has anyone confirmed the alert threshold is configurable per department, or is it fixed out of the box?</li>

&lt;p&gt;The real value of automated alerts is early exception detection, not eliminating inventory controls entirely. I’d still keep periodic physical counts as a verification layer, while using alerts to shorten the time between a discrepancy occurring and someone investigating it.&lt;/p&gt;
