&lt;p&gt;The bigger failure point is usually dashboard design, not connectivity: stakeholders stop using BI when the output doesn’t answer their day-to-day questions quickly enough. I’d prioritize consultants who validate dashboards with the actual business users, document the data model clearly, and leave behind something teams can maintain without calling the consultant for every change.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
