The processing and evaluation of the data are very reliable and error-free. The connection to CRM tools works very well after setup. The support has a high level of expertise and is one of the best I have had contact with

The installation was a little more complicated and would not have been possible without the support of Riva.

Riva acts as an interface between Salesforce and the email system. Data from the CRM is provided individually for all users and can be accessed quickly and easily at any time

**What do you like best about Riva?**

Riva's ease of use has been essential to our Sales & Marketing teams at Janus Henderson to track sales activity in the Salesforce system. Additionally, we just migrated to the cloud version of Riva and the project management team laid out the implementation in a very straight forward manner making it easy for me to complete the migration.

When we ran in to issues post migration, the support team was always super helpful and are willing to create enhancements based off customer feedback.

**What do you dislike about Riva?**

As a Riva admin for my company, I'm finding that in the newer cloud version of Riva we had some of our capabilities taken away. This makes it harder to troubleshoot certain issues for our users, and increases the time to resolution. 

Also, the updated interface for the Riva Insight bar has now created additonal clicks for our users when trying to send and track emails simultaneously.

**What problems is Riva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

First and foremost, Janus Henderson uses the sync portion of Riva's product stack to solve the need for tracking client interactions in our CRM system. Our Sales & Marketing teams heavily rely on Riva sync to track productivity. Secondly, we recently implemented the Bookings tool which lends a hand in solving the problem of Booking Friction.

Eainstein activity capture can be enhanced 
Not many things to dislike
Only few things which can be enhanced and are in pipeline for next release 
The rates for Corp can have more promotions

Mainly the email synchronization and the activity capture like tasks and apppointments 
Calendar synchronization
Reminder alerts and task alerts are also good and great

The ease of adding users and having their calendars sync appointments from the google business accounts. The creation of appointments being allowed to originate from the google side made it easier for users.

**What do you dislike about Riva?**

As a higher ed institution, our users use their google calendars as personal accounts as much as work accounts and the riva tool was not as nimble at accounting for unique synchronizing rules/logic per user as our users would have wanted.

Syncing Salesforce Appointments with user's Google Calenders. While allowing users to create appointments/calendar events from the google side. This allows student support offices to display availability to students.

Addresses the majority of the security concerns. Most services can connect these multiple CRMs, but addressing data security has always been an issue. Riva has that covered, and I like it for that. It also helps to access calendar data seamlessly, especially with troublesome Exchange servers 😠

It is pretty complicated to set up and not beginner friendly.

The solution is flexible and configurable compared to other vendors, and handles things on the back end instead of client-side. Support is excellent, and the team is always accommodating and responsive.

So far, I have no complaints, the solution is working as advertised, and end users are actively benefiting.

**What problems is Riva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Riva is keeping Sales and Ops teams in sync concerning their Outlook and Salesforce meetings, emails and other items, which allows better collaboration and saves time that can be used productively for primary purposes instead of admin activities.

**What do you like best about Riva?**

The security encryption on the product is top-of-the-line, hence from an infrastructure stability standpoint, it is a very robust tool. I think it is a leader in its domain in terms of security within the product and leads other competitors.

**What do you dislike about Riva?**

The user experience of the product is clunky, and if you have a lot of custom requirements, it gets worse. Works better with out-of-box salesforce product and not with an overly custom solution.

RIVA was helping my organization integrate salesforce with outlook, thereby increasing productivity for the sales teams. It has a robust security layer that is way better than salesforce's out of box integration tool.

Different ways to authenticate with Outlook wether basic auth, modern auth, certificate based.

You do need to well versed in how some Microsoft authenticate options work to make the most use of this tool.

We use Riva for intergration with a quote-based email system. Allows users to send quotes from the application without create a seperate email.

**What do you like best about Riva?**

Riva interacts seamlessly with our SugarCRM system to archive all emails and link them to the correct accounts & contacts. This provides a complete 360 view of the customer's current situation and recent touchpoints. Within Customer Success when handling a large number of accounts it is very worthwhile understanding the other involved members of the team to avoid bombarding the client.

**What do you dislike about Riva?**

Riva is a bit on the pricey end, therefore offputting for some of the smaller businesses that we work with. This makes it a harder pitch to sell.
I also think the UI could use a little bit of modernizing and more intuitive analytics.

**What problems is Riva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Riva assists in solving a variety of problems we face in the business, chiefly the understanding of communication with our customers. The auto-record generation facilitates a smooth experience.

At TD we use Riva to enable SF users to sync their emails with SF. Riva helps us meet critical data loss prevention needs for the bank which off shelf SF Outlook integration tools.

Riva has been a great partner to work with. Nothing much to dislike about Riva.

Riva helps TD meets the bank standards for data loss prevention for outlook integration without compromising on end users productivity

Riva is easy to configure, leveraging token-based authentication for the integration, and a custom role for limited permissions. Once the integration is complete, the synchronization policy is easy to set up and maintain. It's a no-hassle system that allows you to set it and forget it.

**What do you dislike about Riva?**

There's not much to dislike with Riva. Occasionally errors are encountered that require Riva Support, but those are few and far between.

**What problems is Riva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our Sales Team manages their activities through Outlook, but our Regional Managers need visibility into these activities via our CRM / ERP which is NetSuite. Riva provides tight integration between the two systems and enables our Sales Team to use Outlook or NetSuite without a concern about what is done where.

There were a few things initially that we didn't like about RIVA but the support and engineering team were very quick in addressing those for us.

Very easy to use outlook to CRM integration application. Everything happens in the backend with little to no work need from the user.

**What do you like best about Riva?**

The tool has a lot of potential if/when it works.

**What do you dislike about Riva?**

We launched the tool to our users over a month ago.  Yet, we're still having daily calls with Riva to try and address the litany of issues that are present in production but were not there in test.  From the inability or +5 minutes to log into the server, +30 second searches, & extremely delayed sync cycles.  This has been terrible.  This is after a multiple week delay to get into testing and then another delay to complete testing due to so many items from the scope/config doc just missed.

**What problems is Riva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently, Riva is trying to solve the problems with its own tool.  We have yet to realize ANY benefit from this tool.

Previously synced items will not sync if deleted

Riva created smooth dataflow between multiple applications. Email is one of the big task, CRM , calendar and many more. Busniess performance increased, I am being more productive etc

For all modules except email, Riva can be configured to sync the deletion of an item. For instance, if a Task is deleted or a meeting cancelled in the email system, Riva can detect the deletion and delete the corresponding item in CRM. **What do you like best about Riva?**

The customer service team is fantastic. They are very quick to respond and resolve any issues that you may have. Even if they can't work on or solve your issue immediately, they will let you know that your ticket has been received and that someone will work on it as soon as they can. I appreciate this as it is transparent and helps to manage expectations.

**What do you dislike about Riva?**

Sometimes the team can be too attentive (not a bad thing!) but it does get confusing when multiple people reach out and try to help you with the same issue. I would rather just deal with one person.

**What problems is Riva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

RIVA has been great in assisting us with keeping our user records clean and up to date. They also proactively reach out directly if they identify any errors and help out resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Set up Riva sync with Salesforce to sync contacts to Outlook for multiple users. Literally never touched it after setup and NEVER had an issue. Low cost with hyper-responsive support. Was able to help me through self-induced confusion at setup.

Objectively speaking, nothing! The program was god-tier for what we needed

Inability to have 2 instances set up if someone has 2 different email addresses in the business (niche case)

That the synchronisation sometimes fails with no warning but the support team are very helpful when this does happen

We use Rivasync to populate field staff Outlook calendar from our Sugar CRM

We needed to archive and associate each incoming or outgoing email with Cases, Projects, Opportunities, etc., in SugarCRM. We had a similar system before, so the only real change or benefit I can speak of for my role is that Riva seems to be easier or more timely to use because of the friendly items I mentioned in the "what you like most" section. Now that we have this information, we can interact more easily with our clients and potential clients and manage our account manager's activity. 12K contacts in Salesforce and we want all employees to have access to all contacts.

Basic setup is so easy to integrate between 2 systems within couple of minutes. The support desk is very friendly and knowledgeable to review any issue and provide a solution very fast. Multiple RIVA instance can be reside in a single server with interfering each other.  Any business specific customization required, RIVA support team helped as per your need.

Previously the SalesForce connector was used to integrate between Outlook and SalesForce, but its required to install the small applicaton in user laptop. It was not possible to who are using the iPad, RIVA is the best solution. No application need to install to any users system where ever he/she is either in Windows laptop of iPad, RIVA integrated in server end.

The software is very flexible and well integrated with G Suite (the purpose I need the most). The suppor personal is very kind and skilled! They help me a lot withe the initial configuration and troubleshooting during tests.

The only thing I find bad is the licensing management in the on premise sync tool. I find quite obsolete to always have to put manually the licensing file in a specific folder of the Riva Sync Manager.

The customer where I installed the Riva CRM Integration will solve problems of lack of information (stored in CRM) in the office tools that they use in their day-by-day work (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Contacts). With the Riva sync feature they will not have to move a lot of times from the CRM to Google G Suite and viceversa, because they allways will find the information they need in the user interface that they are using in that specific moment!

I find Riva easy to use and intuitive.  I have used Xplan integration and Riva is better.  The ability to drag and drop or search is really helpful.  I also like that I can decide which emails are tracked.  Some other integrations I have used automatically track everything which can be problematic.  

**What do you dislike about Riva?**

Occasionally need to log in multiple times.  I also seem to be getting the interaction screen as small on my laptop so I am not sure if this is Riva or my laptop.  I just wish you could drag emails with more than 80 characters in the subject heading.

**Recommendations to others considering Riva:**

I have used Xplan in the past and their email integration and Riva is a lot easier to use

Storing emails on CRM so that multiple staff can follow interaction.  It allows us to follow what has happened when different staff speak to different clients.  When you are evidencing to external parties your interactions, the ability to go to one spot makes a big difference.

It's very user friendly because you just drag and drop in to the email file, or select "send and file" when issuing an email, and ideally it drops right where we need it to go in InforCRM.

There are some instances where the system experiences some sort of error, or does not recognize where to send the emails, so items do not always link to InforCRM...for top priority situations you often have to take extra steps to view if the item truly linked to InforCRM or not.

Riva CRM helps ensure the flow of information is available to many different departments by housing linked copies of communications to the tickets or accounts in our system.  We had a similar system previously, so the only real change or benefit I can speak of for my role is that Riva seems to be a easier or timely in use because of the user friend items I mentioned in the "what do you like best" section.  On the flip side of that while mentioning that we had a similar system previously, although Riva CRM is easier/faster to use, the previous system did seem to be more accurate and had much less instances of what I mentioned in the "what do you dislike" section.

The integration with Infor OnPremise isn't a walk in the park, but once you get it going, it sync's what no other software could sync. The link between our CRM on premise and Marketo is a gem. Support is fast with the first touch and to help you feel like youre supported.

All customization of rules must be done with the Riva team and could take a while to get it back, depending on the work to be done. The integration for Infor OnPremise isn't the top of the line, because of the legacy nature of the product.

Make sure to map all the fields out and think of all the ways you want the data to flow in and out of the CRM. Make sure you think ahead of time and get all the customs fit in the initial offer to save time and effort.

We use Riva to link emails to our CRM (GoldMine). Previously we manually linked them in but you could never be sure that all users did so. We now can look in the CRM and have confidence that all emails are linked in. It saves time because we don't have to manually link emails in any more, and Outlook runs faster without the add-in installed. 

**What do you dislike about Riva?**

Riva is billed per licenced email address. Some of our users have two email addresses so one user potentially requires two licences. Conversely shared email addresses such as customerservice@ can have more than one person operating but only consume one licence.

Check carefully number of email addresses that need to be linked in.

Seamless linking in of email to CRM systems. Also can synchronise calendars from CRM to Outlook calendars and probably more platforms.

It helps the company in the Cloud Journey, preserving the investment done on expensive agreements with Microsoft.
We appreciated the simplicity of the deployment that was 100% held by riva and the customer.
The Sales People can choose where to work, from the Gsuite side or the CRM side.
It is crucial to work with the account in order to work on prices, the entry level is quite not usable and starting from the standard version it cost like a cloud service (Google GSuite or MS license). The fact that the sales department commonly it is not that vast helps a lot.
It could be really helpful working a bit more on some plugin, chrome based, in order to enhance more functionalities and triggers to the integration.
On interesting point is to build a dashboard system to monitor and make some data science using machine learning and alerting on a variety of cloud tools integrated using Riva.
As already pushed, it will be nice to build an agreement with Google in order to provide a full license for free maybe for a year (payed by Google), in order to push the companies moving to the cloud and GSuite side (we have the same possibility with Softwatch, Change Management Tool).

The interface may look outdated, the admin tools may look difficult, but initiate a plan on what the business rquirements are first. Then tackle the basic configuration. After getting used to the system, additional more advanced features can be configured.

Our sales reps are required to enter a certain amount of calendar events that must be synced between Salesforce and Outlook. It is possible to do this out of the box using some Salesforce connector but there are additional requirements our company required that the Salesofrce connector could not achieve.

Getting sales people to log emails in a CRM is almost impossible.  So we set out to find automated solutions to logging and we stumbled upon Riva.  Since setting Riva up (which takes minutes) we haven't looked back - unless you consider the ability to look back at all email communications in SFDC looking back.  Riva is fantastic and saves dozens of hours each month in double entry.

I am SysAdmin, so my experience with it is different from an end user.  So far for me, this has been a good tool for our sales staff to link their outlook items automatically into CRM.  When we first set it up, it took a little bit of work to get it running properly, but Riva support was very helpful.  IT has now been running for years with minimal maintenance needed. 

**What do you dislike about Riva?**

I have no real complaints with this software.  From my perspective it works well and does what it should.  I think that the end users would have better insight into what could work better for them. 

**What problems is Riva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This allowed our sales staff to have seamless integration between outlook items and the CRM.  This saved them time from having to manually import it.
