**What do you like best about Vendasta Yesware?**

The automation and reminder fields are great. The email opening tracker is fairly reliable. It's a great tool if you are sending a lot of "Set it and forget it" email cadences.

**What do you dislike about Vendasta Yesware?**

The customization of the cadences leaves a lot to be desired. The unique fields you can put in are not very accurate, and this leads to a lot of generic cadences and manual work on your end. It is very limiting.

**What problems is Vendasta Yesware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Yesware is allowing me to reach a lot of customers with the same message automatically and track the engagements of those emails. My performance has increased due to the volume of emails I have been able to send out.

**What do you like best about Vendasta Yesware?**

The Yeaware platform is ideal if you are looking to monitor who opens your emails. The platform is an addon to your email. It provides decent data that can help you understand who is opening your emails. It is a cost-effective solution that doesn't have a lot of useless bells and whistles

**What do you dislike about Vendasta Yesware?**

It seems like the software is 50/50 in understanding if your emails are opened, but again, it's better than nothing. In the past, the platform had a pop up letting you know if an email was opened, but this feature is not available anymore. That being said, there is a dropdown list of people who have opened an email that you can view when writing emails.

**What problems is Vendasta Yesware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Yesware is solving an extremely important problem in understanding if anyone is opening your emails. They have also created a platform that is really easy to setup and use.

I like being able to go through a bunch of templates from within my actual email screen and to be able to schedule my outreach. I also like being able to see open notifications. 

**What do you dislike about Vendasta Yesware?**

This might just be a product of how my particular organization used this, and maybe this functionality does exist, but it would have been nice to schedule a drip campaign instead of a one off message. I also would have liked to see the success rates of templates and see how other teammates might have customized these templates.

As a sales rep I used it to send out email touchpoints to prospects in between cold call touchpoints.

**What do you like best about Vendasta Yesware?**

What I really like about Yesware is that you can see how often someone opens an email. If the recipient opens it more often, you know that the potential customer might be interested. You can set up campaigns in Yesware that make your work easier and you don't have to write to each person individually. The campaigns can be personalized, so your emails don't look like newsletters.

**What do you dislike about Vendasta Yesware?**

Unfortunately Yesware works directly from Gmail, so it would be nice if you could have an own interface if you don't want to integrate it into Gmail.

**What problems is Vendasta Yesware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Yesware I can see how my mails are received by customers and if they are received at all.

**What do you like best about Vendasta Yesware?**

Yesware is improving, they're slowly making updates, changing the look of a few things, releasing new product features etc. In general the setting up of email campaigns is straightforward, clicking on campaigns to look at the stage of them all is real nice and easy which I enjoy. Links very well with Salesforce for us to track our emails.

**What do you dislike about Vendasta Yesware?**

We've had problems with people replying from different emails and this not registering with Yesware which has impacted me personally quite a few times. I believe they released something recently to try and fix this. But for example, I emailed someone at firstname.secondname@company.com and they replied from firstname@company.com in the same email chain, yet Yesware did not recognise this. In some cases, people have replied and then the second or third touch emails still go out as Yesware didn't recognise their reply. This as you can imagine is very embarrassing. Now, every single time someone replies I'm manually going into the campaign to check they have been removed which is time consuming.

**Recommendations to others considering Vendasta Yesware:**

Be aware of replies not being attributed to campaigns if colleagues reply from a different alias or forward it on. Check each reply from a campaign to the campaign in order to be 100% sure.

Tracking our emails is great and we really enjoy using it, plus having the full visibility in Salesforce is real good for the company.

I like the instant pop-ups when someone opens an email as an indicator to call them.  I also like how campaigns keep me organized and structured in my outreach as that has always been a weakness of mine.

**What do you dislike about Vendasta Yesware?**

I dislike how people aren't pulled out of campaigns after a phone connection.  It would be nice to have these automatically exited, or to have at least an option to remove myself from the campaign after a connect.

**Recommendations to others considering Vendasta Yesware:**

Play around in a trial first if possible and always check up on campaigns.  They can make you look silly at times with automatic bump emails sent to people who have responded to you.

Provides insight as to who opens emails which helps me tailor my outreach.
There are many benefits to the platform.  Organizatoion has always been a weekness of mine, but Yesware has helped me to get passed that roadblock.

Not lightning compatible for person account Salesforce users (anyone who is B2C). For the amount we pay and the years lightning has been live for, I find this really disappointing.

Dont use if you're using Person Accounts in Salesforce - large issues with no solution on tech roadmap - as of Mar 19

Benefits which, for the price we pay can increasingly be solved via simpler, much cheaper solutions, even just Zapier to be honest.

It's ease of use. The reporting feature is fast and accurate. The Outlook notifications are a nice feature. Once you get the hang of sending out emails, using the export list function, etc., it's a breeze. 

**What do you dislike about Vendasta Yesware?**

My major issue is what I call the 'false positive click throughs'. Reporting is telling me that a recipient opened the link(s) in my email mere seconds after it arrived in their Inbox. And this happens every time I email this recipient AND everyone in their company. Reporting is also telling me the links are being opened in cities other than the location of the recipient. This happens every time i email that contact, as well.

I can increased touches on my emails and the reporting gives me insight on what subject lines are resonating with prospects.

Some of the team reporting is not as dynamic as I would like to see.

I would recommend really understanding what your core problems/challenges are and what you'd like to accomplish, then be very thorough in your vetting process to ensure that Yesware checks off you main boxes.

The real time engagement of e-mails. I also like that you can attach different files and see very specific engagements of clicks, links visited, pages visited, etc.

I dislike that Yesware caters to the P2P business model. I dislike the contact entry method, the fact that I can save email templates, etc.

Evaluate whether Yesware will be beneficial to your business model. If you have a larger team, I'd hold off until further development.

The best benefit Yesware provides is the engagement of content. It allows me to keep track of my sales pipeline, seeing who is actively viewing my content.

Yesware helps me keep track of a vast amount of leads.

**What do you dislike about Vendasta Yesware?**

There isn't a great function for keeping track of stages that a lead is in via Yesware. Once something has been put in a touchpoint, it is clunky to keep track of it.

If someone responds via a call, and you don't use their dialer - there is a lot of manual work involved to make sure they don't keep getting emailed. 

Leads are hard to search for.

Easy to use. Has some analytics tracking built in to see opens and responses. Also has easy to setup template area.

Does not integrate with SFDC to opt out those who have unsubscribed. This is a big problem for keeping up with CAN-SPAM policies.

Our ISR team uses Yesware to individually email potential prospects. This is outside our nurture tool (marketing automation).

I like their original email tracking feature. It is a great help to my team in their follow up.

Many of the feature launches were buggy as most feature launches are, the problem is that now Yesware runs much slower in my gmail browser.

Understand that there are other products that may be more helpful for things like cadencing, or call tracking.

The chrome extension makes it very simple to create templates, drop them into my gmail, and gather analytics on what is performing well

The extension can be a bit laggy and I often times have to redownload and go back into the templates and and change font/spacing etc.

**What do you like best about Vendasta Yesware?**

Since receiving a new customer success manager, Courtney M, things have been WAY better.  She is a gem- extremely quick with responses, creative with thinking outside of the box, willing to go the extra mile.  My customer success experience with Yesware went from probably a 2 to a 9 with her.  It really depends on who you get because our last manager was the opposite.  I like the touchpoints feature - it has its bugs but is slowly getting better.

**What do you dislike about Vendasta Yesware?**

I feel that Yesware is behind the trends when comparing to other email tools.  Email opt out is not standard, nowhere to see all the tokens, no built in analytics, you can only track templates inserted into campaigns not just campaigns,  glitches that take awhile to be fixed, inability to export templates or campaigns (hae to copy and paste every single one) to name a few

**Recommendations to others considering Vendasta Yesware:**

This is a good tools that does the basics- great to start with.  Make sure to get your customer success manager do accurate training around templates and touchpoints right off the bat so the SFDC dashboards work correctly.

We are solving the problem of reaching out to higher numbers of prospects with personalized touches at scale. We have been able to touch many more accounts building brand awareness and generating meetings.

Gmail integration and email tracking notifications. Works will natively with Gmail and emails sync well to Salesforce.com.

The sequencing system is not up to par with its competitors. They need to improve this to hold onto customers, however its good value for money. Make the phone system easier to use and more robust.

Look at all of your other options depending on your needs and choose the right solution carefully.

Not necessarily a "dislike" but more so a recommendation. Given how robust the tool is, more individual training catered to the needs of specific functions... specifically the touch points. As they scale and build this out, I foresee this being very valuable.

**What do you like best about Vendasta Yesware?**

i never write reviews, this is very important-- 

yesware is great for peer to peer email tracking etc... 





**What do you dislike about Vendasta Yesware?**

but if you are planning to email large corporations and buyers like @lowes.com, @amazon.com , @walmart.com etc... yesware will not work. the reason being is that these large corporations get a ton of vendors trying to email and get in touch with buyers... they have many spam filters in place ... one of yeswares techonolgies is a tiny tiny 1x1 pixel inserted into the email that when opened can let you know that its been opened etc..  

these large corporations see this 1x1 pixel as spam, and therefore most likely spam your email. which will ; 
#1, not let you know that its been opened / tracked. 
#2, go to directly to spam and never reach the inbox at all. 

which defeats the entire purpose ... 
i would rather have my email go to the actual desired inbox and not tell me if its been opened or not, instead of it go directly to spam and never be opened at all....

do alot of research before downloading any software that can manipulate your precious emails...

there are benefits to this software, but not for my specific line of work.

The ability to see when a client open the emails that you sent.

That they started charging for the free version.

It came with the ability to throw in a template into Gmail which saved us time. It was effective to be able to see who was opening your emails so you knew if it was delivered successfully and also allowing you to follow up real time

**What do you like best about Vendasta Yesware?**

The ability to track accurately, including forwarded messages internally.  You can see when someone on your own team opens your email as opposed to the prospect.  You can also identify when your email has been forwarded by the prospect.  Gives you a great temperature test of your message and whether it struck a chord.

**What do you dislike about Vendasta Yesware?**

The mail merge functionality is clunky, and has to live inside Gmail or email provider.   No in-app calling or workflow kickoff either... you set the Mail Merge and essentially walk away.

**What problems is Vendasta Yesware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Business Development including opportunity creation and net new lead generation.  Cold calling, and email tracking.

Yesware, compared to tout, in our experience was less easy to extract campaigns / contacts from Salesforce.

We used YesWare for marketing campaigns and targeted outreach.  We saw benefits of the results of campaigns.

**What do you like best about Vendasta Yesware?**

The core functionality - it tells me when someone opened an email and that's all I need it to do. The interface is the best I've seen (as far as email tracking software goes) and I like that it integrates well with gmail - I can check email opens without having to navigate to a new page. Attaching emails to Salesforce is very reliable as well.

**What do you dislike about Vendasta Yesware?**

I disliked the popup notifications that are set by default. Especially if you're sending an email to several people, you'll get bombarded by notifications and it gets annoying quickly. However, it's very easy to turn off or adjust the notifications so that's not a huge deal. A nice feature that they don't have would be a daily report of recent activity, perhaps first thing in the morning, as an alternative to constantly receiving notifications. Scheduling emails and the reminder features are both subpar. So much so that I don't use them at all - boomerang is way better for bringing back old emails.

**Recommendations to others considering Vendasta Yesware:**

Don't use it on your personal email. Also, be prepared for minor deliverability issues on the emails that you do track using Yesware. The way these applications work is that they attach a very small, single pixel image to every email, and use that to send you data about whether or not someone has opened your email. Some spam filters will automatically block emails with those kinds of attachments, but it's pretty rare.

**What problems is Vendasta Yesware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Yesware helps me know that my emails are getting through to prospects and clients, and it gives me feedback and my recipient's level of engagement. The main benefit is peace of mind, and being able to be confident that someone is still engaged in the sales process, instead of having to constantly send follow-ups ("hey did you get my email...?"). Other benefit is knowing when is a good time to get back in touch with someone. If you see that an old contact is suddenly opening your emails from a few weeks ago, it may be time to give that person a call to see what's going on.

**What do you like best about Vendasta Yesware?**

I like being able to track all of the open/clicked through rates. All the results are neatly organized and accessible, which is helpful to email campaign analysis. 

**What do you dislike about Vendasta Yesware?**

The free plan allows you 100 "events" (i.e. emails) per month to track. Unfortunately, this includes the entire lifetime of an email chain. For example, if you send out a sales email that you want to track, but then the prospect bites and you start emailing back and forth - all those emails become "events" (unless you keep yourself keenly aware and manage your Yesware settings to prevent this).

**What problems is Vendasta Yesware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I downloaded Yesware because I was looking for a FREE email open-rate tracking solution. Yesware is a good product, and I imagine the paid subscription is much better. 

Because it's not in my team's budget to buy a paid subscription, Yesware has become more of a simple notification source for us. When someone opens an email a little box pops up on the bottom right hand of my monitor. We can track open rates with Yesware graphs, but it's much less descriptive of who is opening what, where than if we had a paid subscription.

It's a bit simplistic and needs a hell of a lot more features to really be "feature complete" as far as I am concerned.

**Recommendations to others considering Vendasta Yesware:**

If you're hankering for automatic follow-ups and such, consider buying Marketo Spark. At $1000/month it sounds expensive, but Marketo is just so much more full featured than Yesware.
