What do you like best about Optimizely Feature Experimentation?

Their web Interface is highly interactive unlike other Optimizely platforms. It's Simple & easy to do A/B tests for different age groups. Optimizely helped us to do multiple user acceptance testing, the results were reliable & quick too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Optimizely Feature Experimentation?

Usage on mobile is not at all responsive & difficult to use it when away from laptop. It's hard to change the feature once setup in the A/B test & no regression tests available. We still need developers support though it's no-code solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The web experimentation mainly becuase we get a lot fof website projects and it is very difficult to develop since on local it performs slightly different but on live servers it becomes poor. optimizely helps us to fix that problem with the visual editor Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1. I Liked the geographic location-wise breakdown when used on the pricing page feature.

2. Snowflake made our lives easier by allowing us to collaborate with internal data with feature experimentation data for better analysis.

1. UI is not responsive. Doesn't give a good view when opened on mobile.

We wanted to figure out the pricing plans after the launch of UPI payment services in Singapore. With Optimizely, we could track the traffic, usage & response from the APAC & Americas. What do you like best about Optimizely Feature Experimentation?

Full Stack is built on top of a clever and powerful client-side hashing strategy, allowing apps at any level of the stack to use it to power dozens of features and experiments even on critical, performance-sensitive code. The offerings for types of experiments are plentiful and provide a lot of flexibility that has always handled even our most complicated experiments. The UI is attractive and intuitive, posing no trouble for business users to adopt. And the built-in Snowflake integration was a dream come true, allowing us to tie the data directly to our internal data for richer analysis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Optimizely Feature Experimentation?

The hashing strategy also means that re-bucketing can occur, which has confused users once or twice. Optimizely has well-written documentation on how this works, but because it's not intuitive, it has tripped us up. They offer a strategy for persistent bucketing by implementing your own "User Profile Service", but it would be nice if this was available on a per-experiment basis as a built-in feature. Also, for enterprises with large numbers of users, managing authorization is still manual and has room for improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Optimizely Feature Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?

Optimizely FS has let us add feature toggles to probably 2-3x more features than we previously would have, at all levels -- sometimes we use it to toggle between two branches of code in a method, othertimes we use it route customers to an entirely new site. We were able to do this before Optimizely, in a more manual way, but there was a lot of overhead with that approach that led to teams skipping it more often than not. Because of the SDK's ease of use, the barrier to adding feature flags is so low that every team has started doing it for nearly every feature.
