"One of the best Database"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

Microsoft SQL Server is fast, intuitive database management tool which we usually use to store and extract the information as per business needs. It is very powerful and robust. Automatic backups, SQL Profiler, SSD Support, all-time availability, fast migration and disaster recovery etc. are only just a handful features out of large feature list. The UI to perform daily task is pretty intuitive and user-friendly. You can easily import and export data using many ways. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

I believe the licensing is bit overpriced and more complex in recent editions of Microsoft SQL Server 2014. Although free version available provides most of the functionality, but for business, you definitely need a license to suffice the purpose. Other freeware tools available in the market are providing a lot of these comparative features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"SQL Server"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

I like the ease of the graphics user interface. SQL Server is a lot more intuitive than Oracle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

There's not very much that I do not like. SQL Server's SSMS is so easy to use that you can inadvertently change something. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"SSMS is solid"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

I like the simplicity and "classic" style of the UI. SSMS doesn't try to be anything more than what it is... A way to work with data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

I dislike that every time I connect to a different database engine, it defaults to the "master" database, which is never the database I'm working on. This is probably a setting that can be changed, but other than for that reason, I've never been encouraged to modify any settings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A little clunky but not bad"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

The interface is nice and consistent with other Microsoft products. The graphical workflow is easy to understand. Great for creating simple data workflows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

The software often freezes. Code comparisons are a nightmare since ssis doesn't consistently order the package xml in the same way. Deploying packages is a nightmare if you create script tasks and need to deploy external libraries since it requires use of the GAC. Overall the software is slow and clunky.
