Being as consultant and more inclined towards functional side of application, its not easy to handle the database activities. SQL server is one of the powerful database server which is easy to learn and quick to understand for a normal technical guy. Database restoration, backup, security policies, role mapping is simplest compared to other database applications available in the market.

Nothing much is there which you can say that this is not good in SQL server. However reporting services of SQL server still need improvement to have better performance. Sometime SQL Server service hang and we need to restart it either by restarting system or through configuration manager, I face some issue as well for remote access, but overall its good product. might be some issue because of firewall security , i solved it by opening 1433 port on firewall.
