**What do you like best about Tebra (previously Kareo + PatientPop)?**

Their patient messaging blast was not a bad technology.

**What do you dislike about Tebra (previously Kareo + PatientPop)?**

They had a pattern of technological instability, no ownership of problem solving, and disruption that caused both staff and patient experience to suffer. There was lagging, broken workflows, improper patient visibility and privacy concerns that were reported and documented but never addressed, incorrect reporting. Tebra was given the correct timeframe and turned off clinical access to charts and billing for 8 days, charged us for an entire month, and caused a pileup of claims that we are still going through today, over 6 months later. After months of not using the platform, we have been receiving repeated and escalating emails and messages demanding payment for a system we have not used in months. There is no efficient way to reach anyone via email, and we can not lose more time than we already did communicating with the platform at this time. Technology, communication, accountability, and concern for patient privacy and provider experience.

Tebra didn't solve more problems than it created. It had technological issues, poor communication, lack of ownership, and privacy concerns. The patient messaging blast technology was decent, but mostly we were left with unmet promises and frustrations.

I LIKE THE CHARGE CAPTURE AND HOW EASY IT IS TO LOOK AT THE VISIT NOTE AND COMPARE WITH THE CHARGE CAPTURE TO MAKE FOR SURE THAT THE CODEING IS CORRECT.

THE ONLY PROBLEM THAT I HAVE FOUND SO FAR IS WHEN A PAYMENT GETS POSTED BY ANOTHER EMPLOYEE, IT IS NOT EASY TO GET A PAYMENT DELETED THAT HAS BEEN ATTACHED TO A CHECK.

I HAD A PROBLEM WITH EVERYTHING PRINTING CORRECTLY ON THE PATIENT STATEMENTS BUT THE TEBRA SUPPORT TEAM WAS ABLE TO HELP ME RESOLVE THE ISSUE.  I ALSO HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE CMS1500'S PRINTING CORRECTLY AND THE TEBRA SUPPORT TEAM WAS ABLE TO HELP ME RESOLVE THE ISSUE.

**What do you like best about Tebra (previously Kareo + PatientPop)?**

Kareo’s customer service is, by far, the best I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. I’ve worked with many EHRs and billing software platforms, and Kareo is easily the most user-friendly. There aren’t a ton of extra steps to complete the tasks I need to get done, and there’s an abundance of customizable reports that help keep you on track.

**What do you dislike about Tebra (previously Kareo + PatientPop)?**

Some functionalities could be improved, such as processing insurance recoupments, although the workaround for that isn’t too difficult. There are also times when the ERAs don’t come through from the clearinghouse, but that doesn’t seem to be an issue unique to Kareo. In general, they make sure to add the ERAs once they’re received. The new self guided EDI enrollment process is less ideal than the prior Tebra guided process.

**What problems is Tebra (previously Kareo + PatientPop) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping us to keep our accounts receivable down by making it simple to keep track of outstanding claims. It also makes things quick and efficient which keeps both us and our clients happy.

Tebra is easy to use once you’re familiar with it, and it stays clear and straightforward when you’re working with claims. Tracking the status of a medical claim can be difficult, but Tebra makes it much easier to see exactly where you’re at in the process.

**What do you dislike about Tebra (previously Kareo + PatientPop)?**

It can be a bit slow when opening claims and encounters. It’s also frustrating that I can’t change patient cases after billing. Billing Medicaid as a secondary payer still needs improvement, and the overall workflow around that could be smoother.

**What problems is Tebra (previously Kareo + PatientPop) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tebra has ultimately designed their system in a way that makes it easy to see the workload and what still needs to be done, which is huge for medical billers. In addition, their new Trizetto portal is amazing and has drastically sped up our claims and electronic admittance enrollments. I feel confident this system will continue to improve, and I’m excited to see what new features they develop next. It’s also nice knowing they truly take billers’ feedback into consideration.

Most helpful thing in Tebra is Eligibility checking and benefits. Also filing claims is easy and fast. Their representative are very professional and always ready for help.

I dislike is the character limit in the Tebra alerts. Because of this, I often have to remove older, important alerts just to add new ones.

There are many things to like about Tebra, but the feature I appreciate most is the aging report. I can set it up to include everything I need, and then use the report to stay on top of my follow-ups.

I don’t like seeing the billing version on the app. It could be improved by creating more real-time billing, showing when something is approved and submitted, and giving the option to change that.

I am really overwhelmed with all of the new ideas and products that are introduced on a daily basis! But, I changed companies and I had to learn a new software! I AM pleased to say that this was way better than I expected. And it did not take forever to get it either! I also love that there are supports that meet with me via video chat...live, person to person! And the updates are easy to bare. Whew! This was a load off!

I don't like that note assist is 1$ per note. Just add it as an add on and that is much better. Especially because we have over 400 patients and are steadily growing!

The customer support team is amazing and a great help. Any time I was having an issue, I could contact them and get my issue resolved quickly.

The only issue I had was with some of the reports, I would need to log out of Tebra and log back in to get the report to update/refresh.

The main thing for me is that every time I need help, someone actually answers the phone and they always help me figure ut what I needed and even go beyond that to give other pointers or help.

The only thing is I wish they had  premade work or school note that prepopulated patients information to make it easier, as I do all through Word right now.

Tebra is helping us solve, faster scheduling with patients. It allows us to have information ready before we contact the patient to schedule. It is also a great communication tool to use when patients have questions regarding care, cancelling appointments etc.

Access to the clients' charts via phone or desktop is excellent. Being able to set standard quick easy drop-in notes is a great feature. Being able to email or text the client from the app is a nice feature. Seeing a history list and reaccessing the client is also great. Being able to run reports and surveys is helpful.

**What do you dislike about Tebra (previously Kareo + PatientPop)?**

The one thing that is an issue is that I have to see all emails or messages being sent to everyone. That is quite annoying as it makes me consistently check or see notes irrelevant to my or my client's communication needs. I wish there were a way to stop seeing all the messages and only mine. Also, the report feature has limited time frame and would be nice if had more report options to pull data like insurance providers.

Sometimes the server is down and doesn't have access to Kareo. Being able to fix the message filter where I only see messages that are to me instead of the entire company. On certain platforms like my IPad had some issues and caused inconsistency of features.

It is one of the more modern systems that has really good integration capabilities.  The one thing that stands out is the ease for which to setup EDI and the built in features such as fax, document storage, etc.. Given that it has an API that was a huge selling point for us to integrate our in house systems and workflow with the platform. It has potential for scalability with its modular approach as well.

**What do you dislike about Tebra (previously Kareo + PatientPop)?**

The UI could be improved some and additional features could be added such as importing 835 files, more detailed eligibility checks, disable statements per patient, and less tabs. The case approach is ok and the ability to customize reports could be improved. Note I am talking about the client software for billing.

The ability to have all things in one place such as clearinghouse reports is really huge. Other systems we have used separate their systems by tying in the practice management with external areas you then need to login to and follow up, etc.. As we add features we can easily enable or disable them which Tebra has already thought of.

Tebra has been the easiest EMR I've ever worked on in the past 20 years. Being able to check eligibity is amazingly easy. I use Tebra daily in order to complete my tasks. Customer support is very knowledgeable and quick to help fix minor issues. Training new employees on your EMR is absoulty wonderfull and easy. When Kareo became Tebra it just made my job easier.

There is nothing I dislike about Tebra. Which I had some advise on how to make it better but I have nothing. Tebra has is the only EMR system I recommend to collegues.

The billing module should be integrated with the clinical module without having to sign into 2 ifferent places. There should be business hours for the entire US, not just Pacific Time Zone. Having a business in the East, there needs to be accessibility. Please put brighter colors back, the dark green has no curb appeal.

I loved Kareo. Our whole practice did. It was easy to use, the staff was helpful and we had very little problems-until Tebra took over.

**What do you dislike about Tebra (previously Kareo + PatientPop)?**

Tebra took over Kareo and Patient Pop around May of 2023. This merger has been a absolute nightmare!!!! There has been many system outages, appointments disappearing, prescriptions not sending, and billing issues.

The billing issues have been the worst! For 3 months now my claims have been sent to the wrong payors or not sent at all! My claims are months behind. It has greatly affected our business.

The customer support is horrible. Most of the representatives have no idea how to use their own system! It takes customer service days to weeks to resolve issues, that's  assuming they respond in the first place.

Our business has over 16 providers and we could not sustain the losses anymore so we switched platforms. We were able to download our demographic data ourselves however; they will not give us our documents or patients notes without charging another $4,000. The data belongs to the customer and it's not acceptable to charge us for it. By holding our data, they put us at risk, because we're unable to now provide patients their medical records.if you're currently with Tebra and reading this, I urge you to stop uploading documents to their system and record your notes elsewhere because they charge an exuberant amount to extract these from their system if you ever choose to leave.

Please think twice before going to this company. They sell a beautifully designed platform that will only give you trouble and little support.

They're very slow to solve problems. You may get resolution the same day if you call, if you're lucky, but normally it's days to weeks before a problem is solved. They turn most problems  around and blame the customer for the issues or tell you they're trying to solve them as quickly as possible and send you to a website that shows all the problems their trying to solve. They also love to send you to multiple people, non of which can solve the problem. It's a joke.

The PatientPop side of the team is very friendly and helpful. The PatientPop portal is well laid out and easily accessible. Their team was helpful in the implementation and integration of our new website.

The Kareo support side is still lacking in willingness to fix issues, and offer support. Kareo needs to step up their game in this partnership and integrate its features better into PatientPop. There shouldn't be a need for two separate portals, I should be able to access PatientPop and Kareo features under one Tebra portal.

While more robust than a bare-bones EHR, the RCM piece makes it worth every penny. I also like that it encourages providers to take note of patient's BMI and refer them to a specialist for better continuity of care.

I used it years ago when I was a primarily cash-pay practice. Didn't make much sense for me to use it at the time with so many features geared towards credentialing/insurance.

It's made our RCM much more manageable than our previous EHR. I like that I can scan patients ahead of time and see eligiblity for upcoming sessions, too.

I am able to access my client's charts with very little hassle or typing. I am able to view my scheduling dashboard with ease. Tabs are right at my fingertips and it's organized quite well. It has a sophisticated and professional look. Documentation is made quite easy. Good job!

I notice my calendar always falls to a specific date. It isn't current until I hit "todays date".
When starting a new note it should automatically give the present date.

Tebra is super user friendly.  It is streamlinded where you can schedule, talk to patients, can send messages.  I have used many other systems and you needed an IT degree to navigate the system.  This system is easy to use and patients can easily navigate it as well.

I don't like that as a provider I cannot easily block off my schedule directly on the calendar.  I still haven't figured out how to implement my documents to chart on.
