**What do you like best about iPlum?**

The phone tree, ability to share numbers, and fax in the same place as phone.

**What do you dislike about iPlum?**

It is very tedious to send messages (enter function doesn't send it and required an extra click of hitting a button. The vendor is not forthcoming about limitations due to VPN (several VPN providers block VOIP ports), so if you need to use VPN for other purposes, it becomes a cumbersome exercise. iPlum does not support non-standard VOIP ports. Support is tactical but do  not get the business big picture. I wish I had done more thorough research prior to signing up for an annual plan and probably would have gone with another vendor.

But most importantly, this company has no ethics and is simply a money grab. I highly recommend you stay away as I learned the hard way.

**What problems is iPlum solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Phone tree and fax in the same place. Those features work perfectly.

> Dear User, We would love to help our clients. As we explained during live support calls with you that iPlum works with or without VPN.  Many of our professional clients regularly use VPNs and it works fine. These clients vary from few lines to few hundred lines per account.  We never have to change ports of our service to accommodate VPNs. Your VPN should pass-through this traffic.  Messaging is designed so that it is HIPAA complaint with safeguards which our clients like.  It makes sure you don’t inadvertently copy/paste and send some text while on another screen on the computer.  If you have any technical questions, please let us know and we will help you.

I really like how easy iPlum is to use on a daily basis. I use it every day for calling and texting clients in my private therapy practice, and the features are intuitive and straightforward. The texting feature has been especially helpful, making communication much more efficient. I also appreciate how responsive their customer support is and how clearly they communicate when issues arise.

**What do you dislike about iPlum?**

There was a brief service outage recently, but iPlum communicated right away that they were aware of the issue and actively worked on it. The issue was resolved fairly quickly, so while outages are never ideal, the transparency and responsiveness helped minimize any disruption.

**What problems is iPlum solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iPlum solves the need for a reliable, HIPAA-compliant business phone line that keeps professional and personal communication separate. For my private therapy practice, this has been extremely beneficial. It allows me to call and text clients securely without using my personal number, helps maintain professional boundaries, and makes day-to-day communication more efficient. It was also easy to integrate from our previous platform, which made implementation smooth and stress-free.

The dashboard is clean and simple, making it easy to navigate between texting, calls, and voicemail. I appreciate the ability to schedule texts, label clients, and how quickly  my previous number was ported to iPlum. I use iPlum daily in order to confirm appointment with clients or send reminders of upcoming appointments. As a user on the system that is shared amongst the rest of the company, it's incredibly helpful to have my own dashboard to assure HIPAA compliance for my clients.

At this time there isn't anything I dislike about iPlum. Customer service feels accessible if that were to change in the future.

I like that it is HIPAA compliant and reasonably priced! It has also worked smoothly for me so far in texting with clients- I use it almost daily!

**What do you dislike about iPlum?**

Outdated UI, it feels clunky and in need of a revamp. I think the whole process to get my number approved could have been better like instead of pressing a bunch of links, having a pop up video and less wordy instructions. I also tried to make calls and it kept calling the wrong number after I manually put in the correct number multiple times, so I just don't use it to call anymore.

Many of my clients would rather text than email (who doesn't hate email lol) and this gives them another option to communicate with me! I really appreciate having this resource and my clients have mentioned many times that it gives them more accessibility.

**What do you like best about iPlum?**

What I like best about iPlum is that it is multifunctional and can be used via the desktop or my cellular device. Implementing the system was simple and quick.

**What do you dislike about iPlum?**

Occasionally the downside is some of the calls drop, and some background noise can be heard during certain phone calls. It would be nice if there was a direct customer support line. This would be really helpful during implementation as well as afterward when the inevitable unexpected technical issue happens.

The business problem iPlum is helping us solve is lowering the amount of time taken for appointment reminders. It has dramatically changed the procedure for the better. What used to take a hour to complete now only takes 5 minutes!

I read a lot of online reviews and iPlum seemed to get a lot of recommendations.  So I chose iPlum to add a phone line for my pet sitting business. it works very well, but I'm most impressed by the quickness and ease of setup. My two biggest priorities were price and user friendliness...it wins on both,

Nothing negative that I can think of. I had questions about setting up text messaging and they were quick to reply and help.

There's a process one has to go through, put in place by the major carriers, to be able to enable text messaging on a second line. It can be a bit confusing for a small business but iPlum folk were really helpful navigating the process.

In my opinion, it's unnecessary for the app to notify you that you're about to receive a call and then require you to press the keypad to answer. Having just one of these steps would be sufficient.

iPlum was very helpful with getting my account going. I was not aware of the rules that cell phone companies have now when it comes to SMS text messaging, but iPlum's customer service got me through it quickly! I also became a member due to its ability to send encrypted messages and to send broadcast messages.

I disliked that there's a limit on the amount of text messages you can send in a certain amount of time, but I have discovered that's a rule at many companies. The app for iPlum would randomly shut off, but it wasn't a huge deal.

iPlum has been helpful for messaging my patients (I am a Nurse Practitioner). My patients didn't seem to have any issues with it.

I wish they had forewarned me about the difficult and costly process of setting up texting in iPlum. Difficult to set up. I also lost a client because I thought I had replied, but found out days later the text did not go through. I also upgraded my plan thinking that would fix it, so I am now paying more than I needed and had the complication to deal with.

I love that iPlum was easy to set up and to use on a regular basis.  The value for the cost is excellent and very feasible for what I needed (a HIPAA-compliant method to communicate with my therapy clients).

The only challenge I had was not actually an issue with iPlum itself but with the federally mandated requirements for registering my number so that I can contact my clients through SMS text messages.  iPlum does a great job with helping the user go through that process with very detailed explanations and instructions.

It makes it easy to have HIPAA-compliant text conversations with my client which helps me with general communication and keeping in contact.  It is also affordable for me, as an individual, which is VERY much needed.

Does what I need for the business, I like that I can passcode the app by itself and I like how it tells me a call is about to come in. Functions smoothly and more reliably than Phone.com which I had used for many years before swapping.

It is a bit harder to navigate from section to section (extra clicks) and it seems to be way too easy to accidentally delete voicemail (when I'm trying to scrub back/relisten to something it sometimes thinks I'm swiping left to delete).

I have been using iPlum for the last few weeks as I transition to a new therapy practice and it's been very helpful. It's allowed me to easily communicate with new and old clients while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality and avoiding the use of my personal phone number.

I think some of the UI could be updated and the documentation around what does and does not qualify for HIPAA BAAs could be fleshed out and made more explicit.
