"Fast, Easy Payroll with Customizable Reporting and Smooth QuickBooks Integration"
What do you like best about Gusto?

Gusto makes payroll easy and very fast. For our nonprofit, it’s straightforward to enter employee hours across several different grants. The reporting is customizable, which helps me pull exactly what our grant managers want to see. Pricing is clear, simple, and cost-effective. The accounting side also integrates smoothly with QuickBooks. Whenever I’ve had questions, I’ve reached out and received quick, accurate answers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

Reporting on specific grants isn’t easy. We treat different grants as “jobs” within Gusto, but I’ve found that “jobs” isn’t available as a reportable field in the reports I want to run. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Time-Tracking for Contractors"
What do you like best about Gusto?

I use Gusto to log my hours as a 1099 contractor, and it saves me from having to manually log my hours via a spreadsheet. The time-tracking is so simple. I can either 'Clock in' to start tracking my time automatically, or manually input my hours into the time tracker. Either way, it auto-saves my time so I don't have to remember to hit 'save'. At the end of the week, I don't have to submit anything; it automatically submits my timesheet. Moving solely as a contractor and just submitting via Gusto makes it so easy. The initial setup was very straightforward without any issues, allowing me to get set up and log hours in no time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

There is nothing I dislike at this time, but if I were to say something, it would be that it sometimes logs me out mid-time tracking so I have to make sure I recall when I started working. That said, it's easy to adjust time in the timesheet so I can always fix what went wrong. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Payroll and Time Management with Gusto"
What do you like best about Gusto?

I use Gusto at work to clock in and keep track of my pay and hours, which is really helpful. I love the quick pin for clocking in and out; it saves me the hassle of remembering long passwords. I also really appreciate being able to see how much my paycheck will be before it hits my account. Gusto gives me the opportunity to check my hours before payroll is submitted to ensure there are no mistakes, which ensures I get all my pay when I'm supposed to. I'm enjoying everything about Gusto, especially being informed about my pay and hours and accessing that information anytime I want. The initial setup was very easy and took no time at all, and I even helped other co-workers complete theirs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

No complaints at all! I’m really enjoying everything Gusto has to offer so far, and it’s been a great experience overall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive and Affordable Payroll Solution"
What do you like best about Gusto?

I really like Gusto because it's intuitive and affordable, which is important for our nonprofit with limited staff time and budget. Gusto not only handles the process of paying employees but also takes care of all the quarterly filings, keeping us in good standing with both federal and state agencies. This allows us to focus more on what’s most important for our organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

I find their documents feature to be somewhat unintuitive, and it seems like we're very often uploading the same documents for employees to review and sign. In addition, I always find it difficult to configure their annual employee review cycle. I feel like that part of the program could be improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Time Tracking with Gusto"
What do you like best about Gusto?

I’ve always liked how easy Gusto is to use. I especially appreciate being able to clock my hours retroactively, which makes things a lot easier for me. I can simply go in afterward, enter the hours I worked, and even add small notes so it’s clear what I worked on. Getting everything set up was also super easy, and I didn’t run into any difficulties. What do you dislike about Gusto?

Nothing—the system works really well overall! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient and User-Friendly Payroll Management"
What do you like best about Gusto?

I like Gusto’s clear breakdown of pay, it makes it easy to see exactly how much I’ve earned per pay period and month, which is really helpful. I also found the initial setup very straightforward, which made the whole experience smooth from the start. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

I don’t have any major dislikes about Gusto at this point. From what I’ve seen, it’s a well-regarded platform. If anything, I’d just say that like with any system, there can be a bit of a learning curve at first, but I’m comfortable picking up new tools quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Gusto Makes Payroll and HR Simple, Centralized, and User-Friendly"
What do you like best about Gusto?

I like using Gusto because it simplifies payroll and HR in a way that’s actually easy to manage day-to-day. Everything is centralized—from payroll processing to tax filings—so it saves time and reduces the risk of errors. It also has a clean, user-friendly interface, which makes it easy for both me and employees to navigate without constant back-and-forth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

What I don’t like about Gusto is that it can feel limited when you need more customized features or complex reporting. Some tasks that should be simple—like making adjustments or pulling specific reports—can take extra steps. It can also get expensive as you add more employees or features, and customer support isn’t always as quick or hands-on as I’d like when something urgent comes up. "Easy, Intuitive Onboarding with Reassuring Compliance Support"
What do you like best about Gusto?

Gusto makes employee onboarding very easy and intuitive. Our company is small, and the fact that this software ensures that we're in compliance with all employment laws is very reassuring. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

One thing I wish Gusto had the capability of was to notify supervisors if something has happened that is not in compliance with company policy. For example, if an employee is clocked in for longer than 5 hours without taking a break, it would be great if this were flagged for me so that I could respond accordingly, instead of the painstaking process of going through each payroll timesheet one by one. "Smooth, Simple Payroll and Streamlined Employee Onboarding"
What do you like best about Gusto?

I like the smooth process of running payroll. It has simple steps I can follow to get it finished. The website is very simple and organized. Onboarding new employees is also simplified, but it still walks me through everything we need to enter in just a few steps. Also customer support has been very helpful in times of need. My weekly use is not over whelming as things are step by step in each sections for payroll with time and attendance and imputing tips and switching employees to check or direct deposit. I learned to use the website in a few training sessions and implementing this into my new weekly routine has been pretty smooth overall making my job smother and less stressful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

I have trouble finding some areas. For example, the toggle for employees to be set to satellite when working over 10-hour shifts can be hard to locate. There are also other sections where you have to do a deep dive into the site to find specific things sometimes, but overall it’s decent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive, Flexible Payroll and HR Made Easy with Gusto"
What do you like best about Gusto?

As a nonprofit employer, we’ve used five different payroll companies over the years. I heard about Gusto from a friend and, after reading reviews, decided to make the switch. Gusto has been even better than I expected. The platform is highly intuitive and offers enough policy flexibility to support a range of HR needs. On top of that, Gusto has a fun app, which makes the experience feel a lot more user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

We’ve been using Gusto for almost a year, and so far I haven’t found anything to be disappointed about. I’m a big fan. Gusto makes payroll very easy to set up and even easier to run. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
