"A payroll app that's super easy for employees!"
What do you like best about Gusto?

I like that Gusto is incredibly user-friendly. Its super easy to find my tax forms or update my account info. The layout is clean and actually feels like a modern app you want to use. I log in often to check my pay stubs and while I haven't had to contact their customer service, I can usually find any answers I might need in their Help Center articles. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

One thing I’d love to see improved is the dashboard layout. I really miss being able to see my pay info directly on the home screen as soon as I log in. Now, it feels like I have to jump through a few extra hoops just to see the basic breakdown of my latest check. It’s a small change, but it definitely added some 'click fatigue' to a task I do twice a month. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Time Tracking with Minor Glitches"
What do you like best about Gusto?

I use Gusto to clock in and out of work and request time off. I like that I can go back in and add or change hours after work, which makes things more efficient for me. Gusto is super helpful for adding hours, clocking in, and it also gives me my W-2 and keeps track of hours and overall pay. These features make it easier for me to track my hours and pay. The initial setup was very easy and took about 5 minutes. I love Gusto! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

I wish that it was a little easier to log my hours. Sometimes there is a glitch where I will type in my hours and then it changes them. This glitch happens almost every time I log hours. Maybe just letting me type the timing would be better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple and reliable way to receive and track my payments"
What do you like best about Gusto?

What I like best about Gusto is how easy it is to track my payments. I can see my pay history, upcoming payments, and tax documents all in one place without having to ask my employer for anything. The direct deposit is reliable and always arrives on time, which gives me peace of mind. I also appreciate how clean and simple the platform looks ,everything is organized and easy to understand, even if you’re not familiar with payroll systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

One thing I dislike about Gusto is that there are limited customization options for notifications, so sometimes I would like more control over how and when I receive updates. Also, some sections, like tax documents or payment details, can take a few extra clicks to find at first. It’s not a major issue, but improving navigation and making certain information more accessible would make the experience even better. Overall, these are small inconveniences compared to how reliable and easy the platform is to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Direct Deposit Setup and Smart Rainy Day Savings"
What do you like best about Gusto?

I like the ease of setting up direct deposit. I also appreciate the breakdown of paystubs and how you can set up partial deposits into different accounts. I have utilized the "Rainy Day" savings and I like that it auto-deducts from my paychecks.

I also appreciate that Gusto hosts multiple "companies" on my profile. Whether I'm an employee or a contractor, it's all in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

There isn't much that I dislike about Gusto. However, I recently started using the time tracking tool and I'm not a fan of how we can't input hours in the future. For example, if it's a Monday but I know what I will be doing on Friday, I would like to be able to record those hours for Friday ahead of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Gusto Makes Payroll Compliance Simple, Fast, and Stress-Free"
What do you like best about Gusto?

Payroll and everything that goes along with it can be very intimidating. It's not just making sure our people get paid. It's making sure that the government does too and you remain in compliance. I own a marketing agency and have a background in accounting and finance, but the concept of knowing what needs filed and when and to who gave me a ton of anxiety. But Gusto has made the process so simple after signing up. We've been with them long enough that I forget what that process was exactly, but I know it was easy enough that we've never had any issues with things not getting where they needed to be. The customer support has always been super fast and understands exactly what we are looking for when we ask - after all, we aren't HR specialists. I am thankful that I found a tool that is easy to use, implement and integrate. Can't imagine using anything else. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

I don't have anything negative to say. If anything - because I feel like nothing is perfect - finding my W3's took some getting used to, but now I can get where I need to go quick. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly Payroll That Streamlines Onboarding and Saves Time"
What do you like best about Gusto?

We’ve had a great experience working with Gusto. Their platform is incredibly user-friendly and intuitive, which makes managing payroll much less stressful than it has been with other systems we’ve used in the past. Everything is clearly laid out, and even team members who aren’t especially tech-savvy can navigate it with ease.

Onboarding new employees is seamless. The process is straightforward, efficient, and saves our administrative team a significant amount of time. New hires are able to complete their information without confusion, and we can easily track what’s been submitted and what’s still pending.

Running payroll is just as simple. It’s easy to review, approve, and make adjustments when needed. The system allows us to quickly catch errors, make changes, and feel confident everything is accurate before finalizing. That level of control and transparency has made a big difference in our workflow.

Overall, the platform has streamlined our payroll process, improved efficiency, and reduced administrative headaches. I would absolutely recommend them to any business looking for a reliable, easy-to-use payroll solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

Honestly, there isn’t anything I dislike about Gusto thus far. The platform has consistently worked well for our team, and we haven’t run into any significant issues or frustrations.

In fact, our experience has been so positive that we’ve expanded our services with them and even started using their built in 401k plan, Guideline. The transition was smooth, and having payroll and retirement services integrated in one system has made things even more efficient for our team.

Overall, it’s been a reliable, streamlined solution that continues to meet our needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless, Intuitive HR & Payroll Automation with Gusto"
What do you like best about Gusto?

What I like most about Gusto is how effortless and intuitive it makes HR and payroll tasks. The platform is clean, modern, and easy for both admins and employees to navigate. Onboarding new hires is especially smooth — from sending offer letters to collecting tax forms and setting up direct deposit, everything is organized in one place and automated.

I also love that Gusto handles all the tax filings and compliance behind the scenes. It removes so much stress from payroll processing, and I never have to worry about missing deadlines or making manual calculations.

The employee self‑service features are another huge win. Team members can update their info, access pay stubs, review benefits, and manage documents without having to ask HR for help — which saves everyone time.

Overall, Gusto combines simplicity, automation, and great design in a way that makes HR tasks feel easy instead of overwhelming Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

• Limited customization in certain HR features

Some workflows—like onboarding templates, permissions, or document management—feel more rigid than they need to be. You sometimes have to work within Gusto’s structure instead of tailoring things fully to your organization.

• Customer support can be slow during busy times

Support quality is generally good, but response times can lag, especially around quarter‑end or tax season. Waiting for help when dealing with urgent payroll questions can be stressful.

• Reporting options could be more robust

The basic reports work fine, but deeper analytics, custom fields, or multi‑period comparisons are more limited than in some other HR systems. It can take extra steps to get the exact data you want. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Extremely User-Friendly Payroll with Helpful Gus Support"
What do you like best about Gusto?

I like the fact that Gusto is extremely user-friendly. We use it daily so it is imperative that it is easy to navigate. I also enjoy having Gus as a tool to help when I have simple questions instead of having to call or email in a ticket for support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

There is still quite a bit of programs it seems Gusto does not integrate with yet. For example we use Employee Navigator for our health benefits portal and we can not link Gusto to it yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I switch all my clients over to Gusto."
What do you like best about Gusto?

I have found Gusto to be the superior solution when when it comes to managing payroll for my clients. Not only is their system and software fantastic, but their customer service is top notch. I have dealt with other payroll providers whose customer service folks have no idea how to help. With Gusto, no matter who I talk to, they are all knowledgeable and able to solve my problems. I have immense faith in them to help me and get to the bottom of things any time I reach out and that alone would keep me with their system. Additionally, I have always been impressed with how proactive they are. Where other payroll systems catch things like changes in tax rates months later, causing headaches, missed payments, and fees... Gusto is literally the one telling ME there has been an change in a tax rate. They also prompt things like end of year reviews for W-2s and 1099s with tasks on my dashboard, meaning that they help me get everything done. I love Gusto and I switch all my clients over to it. It is seriously the best payroll product I've ever used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

The only client I've ever had use Gusto that didn't love it was a client who required some really complex mapping to their chart of accounts for the purpose of job costing to construction. I'm not even sure this is Gusto's fault rather than the customers unwillingness to change a system that was already in place. The mapping for automatically syncing information to Quickbooks can be a little confusing if you have a lot of benefits, but for most purposes it's straightforward and meets the needs. Other than that, I truly can't think of any other complaints I have! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple, User-Friendly UI with Easy Profile Navigation"
What do you like best about Gusto?

I like the UI and how simple everything is. It is easy to use and the interface makes it easy for me or the user to navigate around. There are several things you can look at from benefits to your profile. I also like how you can see other peoples' profiles as well (for the company you work with). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

It was a bit hard getting to know where to find my documents for certain things. I think the navigation where I had to do my onboarding tasks, could have also been in a different area (maybe it can reappear in my profile or Documents) again. Simple things like finding certain things in more prevalent areas could be beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
