We can have lots of reviewers and compare their results using the leaderboard. **What do you dislike about Good Grants?** I find the interface really confusing. I think setting up grant and reviewing rounds could be drastically simplified. The price, especially for charities like ours, is really high too. Perhaps the pricing structure could reflect use. For example, we do one grant round a year. We receive around 300 applications and award 80 grants. This all takes place over a 3 month period. The other 9 months of the year, the programme goes unused for us. We would like all of the features of the highest plan, but we don't use it enough to justify that. **What problems is Good Grants solving and how is that benefiting you?** Prior to good grants we used survey monkey to run our grants round and reviewing round. I really appreciate the video responses as I’m a visual learner and that method is so much better than written support. It is an evolving product: they seek out customer feedback to improve their product. And can incorporate that feedback into functionality on the platform. **What do you dislike about Good Grants?** To be honest I don't believe there are any downsides when compared to our previous grant application and review process. **What problems is Good Grants solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before implementing Good Grants in our organisation eligible applications were processed manually which involved printing it out, recording it in a massive spreadsheet and emailing every application to the reviewers on our committee. Once you understand all the different tools and how to use them, it's made my role as a grant manager so much easier and saves time on previously admin-intensive tasks. **What do you dislike about Good Grants?** Some of the features are quite hidden and not that instinctive to use. The formatting of things like tables with text entries also isn't that user-friendly. **What problems is Good Grants solving and how is that benefiting you?** For example, with chasing invoices, I hope that Good Grant's email reminders and easier ways of tracking invoice schedules will mean that we don't miss any invoices that we expect from grant recipients. ### 4. Prior to using Good Grants, we were using a survey software that was inefficient and not user friendly. Being able to have a portal for each Good Grants user they can see their applications and status has been a game changer for us. I love being able to customize the application to our needs. Whenever I have a question or run into an issue, I get a very prompt response, usually in less than 2 hours. My client success manager, Jeremy, is absolutely wonderful. He always listens to my suggestions and ideas for ways to enhance Good Grants and the customer experience is top notch. **What do you dislike about Good Grants?** The way our team processes grant applications is slightly different from the available functions in Good Grants. We have tailored it to our needs, but with the way we process approvals, the functionality in Good Grants doesn't exactly work for us. They're great at taking our recommendations for product enhancements, however, I wish they would be able to roll out enhancements faster. **What problems is Good Grants solving and how is that benefiting you?** Applications save every 20 seconds, so our applicants can start an application and come back to it later. Applicant's have their own portal to login and track the status of all their applications. Collaborative applications has solved a huge problem for us in regard to application visibility. It really helps us design the form in a way that is clear and legible. I also like that Good Grants makes reviewing much easier for our Grant Panelists, compared to using a spreadsheet like we were before. Everything is in one place and our Grant Panelists have commented on how easy the platform was to use. **What do you dislike about Good Grants?** I wish there was an easier way to copy a Form without edits to the copy changing the original Form. Likely this is user error, but all the ways I've tried haven't worked so far. I'd just like the Form copies to have an option to not link to each other. I also wish it was possible to save commonly used Fields—similar to how one can save Content Blocks. I keep getting ads for your new AI feature every time I click on something new in GG. It's a little too repetitive. I'm also not going to use AI because of the ethical and environmental issues it poses to humans. Even now, my personal electricity bill has skyrocketed because of a nearby AI facility and I don't believe I should have to subsidize a tech company who makes tons of money. **What problems is Good Grants solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's helping us administer our Grant Programs. Before Good Grants, we used spreadsheets that had to be created for each grant cycle to include every applicant (which takes a lot of time). Now everything is in one place and it's much easier for us to find and track current or past applicants. It's been especially helpful to see all the applications that have been submitted by one person. Another thing is the lack of flexibility to configure accounts to have varying review capacities (e.g., can see scores for some applications but unable to see scores for others. We primarily use it for grant applications and reviews and it has helped us cut down the time for these processes by more than half. A special shout out to the customer service which is super quick and efficient. **What do you dislike about Good Grants?** The primary enhancement I’d appreciate is the ability to download reports directly. Currently, generating reports takes a while, and then I have to switch from my inbox back to the platform just to download them. This whole process could be made much more efficient. However, what's best about Good Grants is the suppor team. Anytime I felt stuck on something or needed more information about something in particular, the support team always responded to my inquiries promptly and in the friendliest, most professional way. I think Good Grants nailed what every support team should be like, extremely helpful but in the right way. **What do you dislike about Good Grants?** The written documentation is good, but I often found myself recording a video myself to explain a feature or a process for a colleague, it would be good if I had video references that I could share instead. Also, we tried to use good grants forms for a survey we needed to do for our selected grantees, we managed to do it successfully, but the invitation only forms could have used a dedicated section to explain what you can do with it, other than grants forms. **What problems is Good Grants solving and how is that benefiting you?** Good grants is solving the problem of managing applications on google forms. The process is hectic and their isn't an organized way to move applications or assign applications between reviewrs. It is an outstanding product with fantastic customer service. My colleagues and I are grateful that we chose to use Good Grants for an exceedingly complex grant application, review, allocation, and post-grant reporting process. At every turn, when I was building the various pieces of our complex grant process, I wondered whether Good Grants would have the functionality that we desired. The answer was always YES! It has so much flexibility to be able to customize it for a wide range of grant processes. Often when software has a lot of flexibility, it’s complicated to learn. With assistance from the knowledgeable and enthusiastic support team at Good Grants and the clear, comprehensive, and accessible help resources, I found that Good Grants is constructed clearly and logically, and I enjoyed building the various pieces and making them work together. **What do you dislike about Good Grants?** I was hoping that we could make an integration work through Zapier to pass information from Good Grants to DocuSign and QuickBooks, but we couldn't manage it in the limited time we had to try to set it up before we launched our grant. I found the Zapier interface confusing (so I'm not sure that this issue is really on Good Grants). We ended up utilizing the highly customizable export options in Good Grants to create the files we needed for our contracting and payment processes. **What problems is Good Grants solving and how is that benefiting you?** The grant process for which we purchased Good Grants is incredibly complex and we ended up with many hundreds of applicants and grantees.
