"Smooth Cloud Setups with a Learning Curve"
What do you like best about Coder?

I've had a really positive experience with Coder. The platform makes it easy to set up consistent development environments in the cloud, which I believe has saved us a lot of time and frustration. Being able to spin up fully configured workspaces has also made onboarding much smoother. I really appreciate the control and flexibility Coder gives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Coder?

There's a bit of a learning curve when getting everything configured for the first time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortlessly Manage Projects with Seamless Switching"
What do you like best about Coder?

I use Coder for my coursework and personal projects and it saves me time setting up the development environment for different projects and managing dependencies. I find it easy to get started with Coder, and it allows me to switch between projects without worrying about breaking anything, which keeps everything organized. Overall, the initial setup of Coder was fairly easy, just needed a bit of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Coder?

There's a small learning curve at the beginning with Coder. It would be helpful to have more beginner-friendly or quick start guides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Innovative Workspace for Development Teams"
What do you like best about Coder?

I like that my development workspace in Coder is always up and running, which allows me to directly try to solve problems. I appreciate the innovative idea behind Coder. I also value the Terraform-based templates, which allow me to provision consistently. The initial setup was smooth, making it easy to get started with Coder. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Coder?

I don't like the lack of offline access, which restricts my ability to work without internet. The template complexity is also a bit of a hassle, and there's a noticeable resource overhead that slows things down. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Needs Improvement in User Experience"
What do you like best about Coder?

I like that Coder generally gets things mostly right. The initial setup was easy for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Coder?

It gives an attitude and the tone is snobby or a jerk. It's quick to shift the blame to the user, fail to remember the conversation and utilize memory especially in long tail conversions of revisions. It over achieves by doing things unnecessary without permission causing a lot of time of revising code instead of clarifying assumptions and doing proper change code review to ensure that the code doesn't change wildly from expectations. "Accelerates Development with Ease"
What do you like best about Coder?

I use Coder to accelerate the delivery of development and workshop environments, which helps me with a standardized environment for developers and reduces onboarding time. I like the VSCode-like IDE, allowing me to use my preferred extensions, which helps me accelerate my development. Setting up Coder was very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Coder?

I never tried, but sometimes we need some files from my local computer, have the ability to share files helps a lot Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great All-in-One Dev Environment, but Container Setup Is Rough"
What do you like best about Coder?

The best thing about Coder is that it’s a single installation that gives you a complete development environment, including agents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Coder?

The parts of Coder that I don’t like are the initial setup for containers and tooling. I’m used to working without containers and developing locally without any orchestration, so getting everything connected the first time is pretty rough. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Cloud Dev with Coder Despite Initial Setup Hurdles"
What do you like best about Coder?

I like that you can just jump in and it's ready to go with Coder. You don't have to set everything up locally, which makes it easier to jump into projects on any machine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Coder?

Initial setup and configuration can take a bit of time. It's definitely a learning curve. A little bit more difficult than I expected it to be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Strong cloud dev environment that brings control and consistency"
What do you like best about Coder?

What I like most is how it creates consistent development environments for every developer. Instead of setting things up locally each time everything runs in the cloud and works the same for everyone. That removes a lot of confusion and setup time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Coder?

The setup can be complex especially if you are not familiar with infrastructure tools like Terraform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Integration, Quick Setup"
What do you like best about Coder?

I like Coder's integration with other tools and the nice UIs. It's also great that the setup is simple and quick, taking only about five minutes. The agents feature is good; it gets my job done effectively with responsive results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Coder?

I find long running tasks with system native commands sometimes problematic. Coder also struggles with understanding whether I'm on Mac or Windows when I'm trying to use Docker on my WSL with certain commands. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Setup and Cost-Effective for On-Demand Development"
What do you like best about Coder?

I appreciate that Coder is simple, making the solution straightforward to use. The budget-friendly environments are a significant plus because we can deploy environments on demand, saving money. I also found the initial setup really easy, as we could deploy the demo quickly and went on to purchase the full license after seeing how well it solved a lot of our issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Coder?

The documentation is really basic, even though the interface is simple but functional. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
