# What are the top tools for automating brand asset approvals?

<p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Hi G2 community, approvals seem to become a bottleneck the moment content production starts scaling, especially when multiple teams and stakeholders are involved. I’ve been trying to understand what are the top tools for automating brand asset approvals and whether they actually make workflows faster or just more structured.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">In practice, approvals are rarely just a single step. They involve feedback loops, revisions, and different levels of sign-off, which is where delays and confusion tend to creep in. A few things I’ve been trying to unpack:</p><ul>
<li>Do automated workflows actually speed things up, or just make the process more visible?</li>
<li>How are multi-step approvals handled without adding complexity?</li>
<li>Does automation reduce version confusion, or does that depend more on how teams use the system?</li>
</ul><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Some tools kept coming up while I was looking into approval workflows within <a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/brand-asset-management?source=search">brand asset management</a>:</p><ul>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/bynder/reviews"><strong>Bynder</strong></a><strong>:</strong> Structured workflows that support cross-team approvals.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/frontify/reviews"><strong>Frontify</strong></a><strong>:</strong> Connects approvals with brand guidelines. Does that help reduce rework?</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/canto/reviews"><strong>Canto</strong></a><strong>:</strong> Simpler workflows, which might make it easier to get teams onboard.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/acquia-dam-widen/reviews"><strong>Acquia DAM (Widen)</strong></a><strong>:</strong> More customizable workflows for complex approval chains.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/intelligencebank/reviews"><strong>IntelligenceBank</strong></a><strong>:</strong> Often used where compliance and control are important.</li>
</ul><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">What I’m most curious about is what actually changes after implementation. Do approvals move faster, or do they just become more organized and trackable? </p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">If you’ve used any of these tools, did automation meaningfully reduce delays? Or did the real improvements come from better process discipline rather than the tool itself?</p>
