What do you dislike about ClickUp?

I think the AI Brain2 is a little too expensive and the limits on some of the free features are frustrating Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One place to run every client, but it's heavy"
5/5
What do you like best about ClickUp?

ClickUp has made my life easier by providing a tool that helps me build overall systems for my companies. I work across several clients and my own brands, and each one gets its own space with lists, statuses and custom fields set up the way that business actually runs. For our D2C client, recurring work like the weekly founders' review, ad creative batches and Shopify fixes all lives in ClickUp, so the team can see who owns what and what's due without a status call. Being able to create and update tasks through the API and the Claude integration has also cut down a lot of manual entry for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClickUp?

It gets heavy. I run it on an 8GB MacBook alongside ad managers, Shopify and a bunch of browser tabs, and the app can lag when I open a busy list or a big doc. There are also so many settings and views that setting up a new space for a client takes real time, and newer team members need a walkthrough before they're comfortable. A lighter mode or a simpler starting template for small teams would help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Highly Customizable and Intuitive—Automates Project Handoffs with Ease"
5/5
What do you like best about ClickUp?

I like that I can customize every aspect of how I manage my set up. I have been able to integrate within my workspace program, it's flexible and intuitive for my team when moving on to the next steps required for the projects. Being able to with Brain to help build in agents to support my processes reducing the amount of time I am paying team members to help do repetitive work. Our Brain has it so when I complete one phase of a project it moves the project to another phase automatically assigning the next team with their specific tasks. What do you dislike about ClickUp?

One Thing I dislike about ClickUp is I can build almost everything I need. I am a small team so I don't need a huge package but to get branding included I have to upgrade my package and it doesn't make sense when I have other tools and the price upgrade wouldn't cover all that I can do in the other tools currently. "Amazing performance, experience and integration"
5/5
What do you like best about ClickUp?

The overall performance of the app is amazing, I can have a bunch of tasks open at the same time, add attachments to tasks, link, comment and a bunch of other things without needing to wait for the app to finish loading. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClickUp?

I don't like that everything is treated as a "task", even when I change the task type to "Epic" it is still treated as a task. In my opinion, it would be great to have a step to add a given set of user stories inside an Epic before creating it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive and Customizable Project Management with ClickUp"
5/5
What do you like best about ClickUp?

I like that ClickUp is a tool that is almost always working, with few problems, and is accessible via the mobile app, which is very useful. The integration with Microsoft and Google tools is really practical. The organization of projects and tasks is quite intuitive, which makes it very easy to use. I love the freedom to build my personal task list, independent of company projects, and the ability to view them in a Kanban, which simplifies my self-management without interfering with company projects. I also find the AI within the tool very useful in helping with tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClickUp?

I believe that ClickUp still lacks a more intelligent AI integration. It would be useful if it worked more effectively within tasks. I would also like the organization of emails and notifications to be smarter, automatically filtering the most important emails instead of me having to constantly configure them. Additionally, although there are solutions for clients to approve or reject materials within ClickUp, I feel that the use of these tools could be simplified, as it is often complicated to understand how everything connects. "Enhance the Project Management journey, even with initial complexity"
5/5
What do you like best about ClickUp?

I use ClickUp every day as an IT Project Analyst at Grupo Saga, in the Digital & Tech space, monitoring the back-office project portfolio with about 40 collaborators. I like the practicality: it's easy to move an activity between stages and set the order, and I quickly create a new task using the "+" icon next to the statuses. Each project is in a list with the custom field "Project Stage," from E1 - Prioritization to E11, and this gives me the status of the entire portfolio on one screen. Defining relationships and dependencies between tasks is important to show when completion is stalled by another factor, such as a supplier, and this reduces manual follow-up meetings. Switching between List, Gantt, and Calendar on the same base saves me from rebuilding the schedule in a spreadsheet every week, and the views open quickly even with a full board. Integration with Outlook and Teams brings project appointments to the agenda without rework, which was a game-changer for me: I have available times at my fingertips and can generate an agenda from the activities themselves. The license is per user, so you can start with the team that really needs it and expand as usage proves itself, without buying idle capacity. New team members pick up the ready-made structure and learn by looking at existing tasks, which greatly shortens onboarding. AI usage is still not widespread here, but we already have a practical case in the team: generating a status report of everything that was moved and updated during the week and the AI assembling a small canvas/HTML in the presentation structure, showing what was accomplished and what needs attention. What do you dislike about ClickUp?

I think ClickUp's automations are slow and require some experience to handle. When the board is large, they can get lost or stop working, although this is rare. Additionally, new users may feel intimidated when they see ClickUp's screen because of the number of icons and options. However, when there is a real interest in learning, it is possible to see that the user can use the system effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible, Feature-Rich ClickUp with Great Views, Integrations, and Chat"
4/5
What do you like best about ClickUp?

I love all the features ClickUp offers, and how flexible the platform is for accomplishing what you need in the way that works best for your organization. It provides multiple views you can easily toggle between, which helps you choose the best option for internal work or external review. While it can feel intimidating at first, the platform’s flexibility and UX customization make it adaptable for virtually any user or organization.

I also really appreciate the integration options, such as MCP servers, Gmail/Google Drive, Figma, and more. ClickUp Chat has been a big plus for us too, especially the Sync Up feature for quick calls. It even allowed us to cancel Slack and reduce the number of other tools we rely on.

ClickUp support is always super helpful, and there are a lot of resources available for reference when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClickUp?

Something I’ve consistently struggled with in ClickUp is Brain/AI. While I do feel it has improved tremendously over the past six months, I still run into issues with it fairly often. At times it references the wrong information, even when I provide specific, detailed prompts. Other times I’ll ask for a small edit and it will say it made the change, but the text remains unedited—or ends up even more incorrect. Because of that, I’d honestly rather use Claude and connect it to ClickUp than rely on ClickUp Brain.

I’m also pretty disappointed in the ClickUp notetaker. I would LOVE to use it and replace Firerflies/Gemini, but unfortunately the notetaker joins once for each person in our organization who’s in the meeting, which ends up looking unprofessional. My team even sent a feature request for a shared notetaker when multiple people from our organization are on the same call. They did later release that capability, but they put it behind the next-tier paywall, which was disappointing to hear. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"ClickUp’s Brain AI and Ready-Made/Customisable Dashboards Are a Game-Changer for Startups"
5/5
What do you like best about ClickUp?

ClickUp literally makes everything happen to me as a cofounder of a small startup. When we brainstormed about having specific dashboards built for us, ClickUp already had them. The Brain AI feature even built custom dashboards which is a game-changer. The clean UI is another thing I love about ClickUp. I don't know how they do it, but they have everything already built-in for a small company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClickUp?

First thing, we are unable to make payments from India for their subscription. No Indian card is accepted. We have to mail them personally and ask them to charge the card "manually" for the payment to go through. Although ClickUp is aware of this issue for a long time, the fact that they have not taken steps to resolve this is a pain. About the software itself, they did not have useful templates like Notion to begin with. Most of their templates did not suit us. Also, ClickUp has a lot of functionalities and control which took quite a long time for us to understand, configure, and deploy usefully. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Tool for Staying Organized"
5/5
What do you like best about ClickUp?

ClickUp is helpful because it keeps everything organized in one place. It makes it easy to track tasks, deadlines, priorities, and project progress without having to rely on multiple apps or endless email threads. I also like how customizable it is. You can set it up to fit the way you and your team actually work. Overall, it helps with organization, communication, and making sure important tasks don’t fall through the cracks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClickUp?

I really haven’t experienced any major downsides with ClickUp. If anything, there are so many features and customization options that it can take a little time to learn everything that’s available and figure out the best setup for your workflow. Once you get comfortable with it, though, I’ve found it very easy and helpful to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
