# What is the best email tracking software for account executives managing pipeline and follow-ups?

<p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Curious how the email tracking community reads this one. I'm looking at the best email tracking software for account executives in 2026. These are the people carrying a pipeline and a follow-up list, not sales teams blasting cold outreach. Scanning the<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/email-tracking"> </a><a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/email-tracking">Email Tracking</a> category, the AE use case has its own shape: </p><ul>
<li>Tracking that connects to deals and contacts, not just a raw open-notification feed</li>
<li>Follow-up reminders that fire from the pipeline, so nothing goes quiet for two weeks</li>
<li>Sits inside the inbox and the CRM without double entry</li>
</ul><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">A few we've been researching on G2 for this profile:</p><ul>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/hubspot-sales-hub/reviews"><strong>HubSpot Sales Hub</strong></a> (4.4, 13,500+ reviews): tracking built into the CRM itself, so opens and clicks land directly on the deal record; the trade-off is you're adopting a platform, not adding a tool.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/apollo-io/reviews"><strong>Apollo.io</strong></a> (4.7, 9,660+ reviews): pairs tracking with a contact database and sequencing; strongest when an AE also sources some of their own pipeline.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/salesloft/reviews"><strong>Salesloft</strong></a> (4.5, 4,285+ reviews): cadence-driven follow-up structure with tracking feeding buyer signals; built for teams already running a defined sales process.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/outreach/reviews"><strong>Outreach</strong></a> (4.3, 3,570+ reviews): similar engagement-platform shape with deep automation and analytics; reviewers position it toward larger, process-heavy orgs.</li>
</ul><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">When two of these look evenly matched on paper for an AE seat, what's the thing that actually decides it, the CRM you're already on, or something you only notice a month in?</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"></p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"></p>

&lt;p&gt;For an AE, I’d pay attention to what happens when a prospect goes quiet. HubSpot can keep that activity tied closely to the deal, while SalesLoft and Outreach are more structured around the follow-up motion. The better tool is probably the one that makes a stalled deal harder to forget.&lt;/p&gt;
