All these views can be used together in the same project without having to recreate tasks or use other scheduling or planning apps. Additionally, ClickUp keeps everyone informed about deadlines, task progress, and potential blockers without me having to manually notify or forward emails to everyone. manage inventory operations for a vacation rental property management company, which means my workflows don't look like a typical software team's. ClickUp is flexible enough that I could build exactly what I needed. I run everything out of one space: a dedicated list for onboarding new properties (every new property gets its linen and supply orders tracked from order to install), ongoing project tracking for things like linen attrition and vendor orders, and my own personal task list. Custom statuses are the feature I lean on most. I created statuses like "Holding Pattern" for items waiting on vendors or approvals, which is way more useful than a generic "in progress." The daily summary email is also a quiet workhorse. With so much flexibility, it can be hard to establish norms across the org, so I wish there was a way to maybe automatically trigger suggestions when someone creates a custom field to instead use an existing field so we don't have multiple fields serving different purposes. A small thing but would be helpful to have, you cannot "lock" due dates on tasks. ClickUp has dependencies which is helpful to visualize tasks that yours relies on, but changing the due date on one dependency can change the due date on your task, which I don't want to happen for big moments like registration launches. I love using ClickUp for logging tasks with our marketing team because everyone prefers it over Jira. It works well for every role and enables smoother collaboration, even with cross-country teams. As an event manager, I mostly use ClickUp for creating lists and adding subtasks, and I really like that I can link these subtasks to other people's lists or projects like graphic jobs and campaigns. ClickUp makes collaboration and task management quicker and smoother, and it's very customizable, which lets me duplicate lists of tasks and choose specific fields to include. I like that ClickUp provides a central place for everything. It's easy to use but still offers a depth and breadth of features similar to those you find in historically expensive enterprise solutions. I appreciate being able to switch between kanban and list views. Clients can view their projects in kanban view, which is super easy for them to navigate. Developers can view the same projects in a customized format that's more conducive to sprints or detailed card views. Setting up ClickUp was very easy for us, and although it's more complex now than when we started, there are lots of guides and communities available so you can start simple and build things up. AI Brain is great because I can always ask it to create a document, find a document, or even a conversation I know I had but months have passed and can't remember when. I also love the Agents feature. It has increased my productivity and also has helped me get everything I do logged so I'm more likely to get a promotion. What I like most is that I can see both my weekly workload and the details behind each marketing project.

My work includes podcast production, webinars, social content, and other recurring marketing activities. Each project has several small deliverables that happen on different dates. For a webinar, for example, I may need to follow up on the outline, registration page, promotional posts, emails, presentation, and final review. In ClickUp, I can create a task for each item, assign a deadline, attach the related file, and leave the context in the comments.

I also use ClickUp AI to summarize what I completed during the week. This is helpful because I do not have to review every task individually before preparing an update. It gives me a starting point, and then I can add the details that matter.

The amount of options can make simple actions feel more complicated than they should be. ClickUp has many views, fields, menus, and settings, but I only use a portion of them in my daily work. Sometimes I need a few extra clicks just to find the setting or action I need.

Notifications can also become noisy when several people are commenting on or updating the same project. When I receive too many alerts, it becomes harder to identify which ones actually require an action from me.

I have also worked with lists containing many tasks, comments, and custom fields, and those lists do not always feel as quick as smaller ones. I love that ClickUp never stifles my creativity and lets me build business systems the way I want. I really enjoy how the notifications work and how the chat feature has become engaging, letting us move from Slack to ClickUp chat. I also love creating AI agents because ClickUp AI is advanced and helps automate task assignments, letting us reach new levels of automation. Custom fields add more variety, allowing different automations and actions based on them, which I really like. Also, the dashboard is amazing because it shows everything happening in one place, and managers can customize their dashboards or view their team’s, which is awesome. One thing I would really love to improve is the template and workflow feature. If we create a template and later realize there's a change in the process, it's not easy to update the template dynamically. Instead, I have to delete and reimplement the template, which is really time-consuming, especially for recurring processes we do every month for multiple clients. ClickUp is very intuitive and has a friendly interface where I can drag and drop tasks and move tasks from one Sprint to another. It has all the features needed to manage and monitor a software development project. I can follow SCRUM methodology and define Sprints easily. I can also give access to clients and reviewers. It integrates with GitHub and Slack very well! It loads pretty fast and I never found it to be slow or unresponsive. As a startup, I was able to use the free features well and saved it me many hours each week. For beginners, the Unlimited plan is very affordable.
