Synchronising with our accounts package, Xero, is fairly straight forward also. **What do you dislike about Chargebee?** Haven't yet integrated it into our SAAS platform due to shortage of development time. The time taken to integrate could be used to develop our own bespoke billing within our software. **What problems is Chargebee solving and how is that benefiting you?** Granting access to our accounts package to staff is not an option for us so Chargebee allows us to have a middle-ground between the two. You can use just a few features to initially start out, but as you grow, your needs with grow as well. With Chargebee, you never have to switch platform as they offer so many features that you have everything you need to grow. **What do you dislike about Chargebee?** It can get very pricy over time. If you have high ARPA, the overage charges can accumulate quite a bit. But this is true for most SaaS solutions as you scale up. **What problems is Chargebee solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before Chargebee, we were manually writing monthly invoices and manually doing revenue collections which used up a lot of admin time. Now, everything is completely automated through Chargebee. ### 4. It takes care of customers, card management, tons of payment providers, and a powerful admin tool with tons of customisation. Support answers really quickly as well when questions do come up. **What do you dislike about Chargebee?** If they don't have an integration you're kinda stuck needing to have both a chargebee integration, and custom. I might actually be wrong, since they have a very powerful API. One downside is that they have certain ways of seeing things that doesn't always match with our expectations. **What problems is Chargebee solving and how is that benefiting you?** Subscription management, using their hosted checkout form (which is great). Main problem is combining multiple payment processors into one simple integration. They also manage recurring billing, reminder e-mails, VAT, and more. ### 5. I found it to be a reliable and user-friendly platform. The interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, and the automation capabilities through its API are impressive. **What do you dislike about Chargebee?** However, there are a few areas where Chargebee could improve. One issue is confusing terminology, especially for non-native English speakers. For example, terms like Tiered, Stairstep, and Volume pricing models can be confusing, which may cause confusion and difficulty for some users. Another issue is the learning curve associated with the RevenueStory dashboard. While it is a powerful tool for analyzing subscription data, there is a bit of a learning curve to understand how to use it effectively fully. For example, if a user wants to see "Net MRR Growth" not per month but per week, they must completely re-add the metric from Metric Explorer. Finally, when a customer upgrades to a higher-tier subscription plan, Chargebee requires canceling the old subscription and creating a new one under the new plan. This can result in RevenueStory showing a cancellation MRR plus new MRR instead of flagging it as an upgrade. This behavior can be frustrating for users, and it would be beneficial if Chargebee could offer a way to change it. It can manage sending single invoices with product standard prices or with custom amounts, it can invoice now or add charges to be added on future invoices, and it can easily manage subscriptions. Chargebee also offers a lot of customization possibilities for invoices, which is typically useful to be able to meet regulatory requirements or to integrate a company brand into all Chargebee communications. **What do you dislike about Chargebee?** The price for Chargebee is very high. There are no volume discounts, on the contrary the bigger your business the more they charge you. On top of the fixed amount you have to consider overage. And since Chargebee is not a payment gateway, you also have to pay fees to the payment provider. **What problems is Chargebee solving and how is that benefiting you?** Chargebee makes billing simpler and faster, while providing the ability to customize a variety of options to fit the product exactly to a company's needs. I also don't like the new layout and they seem to be forcing it. The reason I dislike is isn't because of how it looks but it's actually missing features we use on a daily basis.
