
I appreciate how BrightHR simplifies day-to-day HR work without overcomplicating things, especially for a German SME. It brings time tracking, holiday requests, absence management, and employee documentation into one clean platform, so we don’t have to juggle spreadsheets, emails, and separate tools anymore. The biggest win for us is the usability; our team picked up the clock-in, leave booking, and overview features really quickly, even those who aren’t especially tech-focused. BrightHR takes a lot of stress out of compliance with working-time rules by automatically tracking hours, overtime, and leave in line with local requirements. The user interface is clear, but some reporting features feel limited: we can’t fully customize export fields or create company-specific compliance reports without extra work. Integrations with our existing payroll and accounting software are possible, but the setup was more hands-on than expected, and the sync isn’t always real-time. We really need more flexible, customizable report builder tools for German compliance and internal reviews. We’re limited to pre-built templates, so we often have to export raw data and manually clean it up in Excel to create reports.
