# Which VDR service has the best reviews for startups

 Hey G2! I want to start a discussion with the experts in the virtual data room software and services community. Can anyone tell me which VDR service has the best reviews for startups? Looking at the different VDR solutions on G2’s category page, I’ve narrowed my software shortlist to: Firmex, iDeals Virtual Data Room, and SecureDocs. My full software list based on recent G2 reviews is below:  1. Firmex  Praised for its simplicity, strong compliance support, and scalable usage. Firmex is a solid choice if your startup grows into more regulated industries or larger deals quickly. Does Firmex offer auto-reminders or health-check alerts when documents sit untouched for too long?  2. iDeals Virtual Data Room  Known for intuitive UI, granular permissioning, and top-tier customer support, Ideals VDR makes due diligence painless especially when you're in fast-moving, founder-led deals. I’m curious if iDeals lets you batch-update permissions when bringing in new investor groups mid-process?  3. SecureDocs  Best known for ultra-fast setup, affordable flat-rate pricing, and solid security, SecureDocs is ideal for early-stage startups needing rapid, frictionless setup on a budget. Can anyone tell me if SecureDocs has templates or shortcuts for recurring investor update room structures?  4. Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room  Built for high-stakes workflows with real-time activity tracking, AI-driven redaction, and M&A-centric tooling. Datasite is great when your startup enters fast-paced strategic rounds. Can Datasite auto-notify key stakeholders when sensitive files are accessed or redacted?  5. Clinked  Tops the ease-of-use charts for startups with custom-branded portals, secure collaboration, and flexible access that works for small teams juggling clients and investors. Does Clinked support one-click client onboarding templates for repeat pitch decks?  6. Digify  Loved for being startup-friendly with sleek security insights, document tracking, and simple sharing. Digify is perfect when agility matters more than enterprise bells and whistles. Is it possible to trigger alerts when someone screenshots a doc or views it multiple times in Digify?  If you have experience using VDRs at a startup, I would love to hear your opinions on my software shortlist. Did I miss any other VDR software service providers that you would recommend?
