My main dislike about WFN is that, if you’re not a power user, an administrator can end up spending a lot of time refining reports and trying to understand the configuration—specifically how data is entered throughout the database. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ecosystem and Third-Party Integrations: The ADP Marketplace provides a strong ecosystem of pre-built connectors and APIs for accounting packages (such as QuickBooks, Sage, and NetSuite), as well as specialized time clocks and ERP platforms, which helps reduce manual data entry. The main thing I disliked was that resolving complex payroll, tax, or technical issues often meant working through tier-one representatives who didn’t have deep system knowledge. The most helpful aspect of ADP Workforce Now is that everything is centralized. We use Payroll, Benefit Time & Attendance, Talent - Performance Database, Compensation Database and Recruitment. Areas such as Time Off and Talent, the tool doesn't let you customize like I want it to. For example, Time Off doesn't stop the employee from going over their accrued hours if they are in between service levels. It allows them to go up to the service level causing overages. What I like most about ADP is that it’s a platform where I can find all the tools needed for centralized personnel management and HR in one place, without relying on third-party tools, which makes it easier to integrate information. The day by day use is easy because you use the same user interface for different services in the same topic.

The worst aspect of ADP, in my experience, is its graphical interface. The UI feels old and dated, which is probably meant to preserve familiarity for long-time users. Still, it would be worth considering two options: one that keeps the classic design and another with a more modern look, so users can choose the version they prefer.

I find ADP Workforce Now stable and easy to use for our users. I appreciate the customization options and flexibility it offers. The reporting and dashboards are excellent, providing clear insights. The time and attendance modules work well, making scheduling straightforward. I like the ADP mobile app, especially for approving vacation and time-off requests. The learning and development modules integrate easily with LMS software. The employment profile dashboard is simple and user-friendly. I think the learning management system could be improved, and the recruitment module as well, along with utilization of AI. There are still a lot of manual processes involved in recruitment module which creates extra time and manual non-ADP adjustements. In terms of scheduling and sending out administration tasks, these could probably be easier to set up in the ADP system with improvements. The integration and use of AI in their reporting functions, dashboards, and analytics modules aren't as robust as they could be and the AI assessment tool for a canadidate resume isn't something you can rely on for accurate screening. What I love most about ADP Workforce Now is how dependable it is as our central hub. The interface is really intuitive—employees can handle their own time off requests, pay stubs, and personal info updates without constantly bugging HR. It runs fast, and it works seamlessly with our accounting and time-tracking tools. Right from the start, their onboarding and support teams have been super responsive. I haven't run into any real issues with ADP Workforce Now, mostly because we keep things pretty simple. The basics work fine—no bugs to complain about. If anything, it feels a bit over-built for what we actually need. There are tons of navigation menus buried deep that we'll never touch. But honestly, for payroll and HR, it does the job. One thing I dislike about ADP Workforce Now is that it can feel a little overwhelming at first because there are so many features and options available. I like that is widely known and has the capability to do many things within payroll/hr. I can integrate with other programs as well, so that when field staff clock in for work we can transfer those hours easily to ADP. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

ADP is extreme non-user friendly on the admin side. I have spent weeks and months of my time trying to get answers from support while they ignore you, claim to get back to you and don't, simply do not know how to change a setting on their own product, and the list goes on. It's a solid platform, excellent payroll product with lots of good integration for an overall HR solution. We use several modules, Talent and Recruitment, Benefits, ACA, Reporting and Analytics. The Benefits integration was a game changer for us and the ACA module gives us the confidence that we are getting offerings right. Sometimes updates happen without notice and really change how something familiar works. However, when I find something does work quite as expected or could be improved there is always the Feedback avenue - this is very helpful and I know my suggestions have been taken seriously using this tool. ADP Workforce Now is very user friendly. It is able to break down your companies needs down to the job and/or employee. We have multiple connections/APIs set up with ADP which eliminates a lot of manual work. The tech team at ADP is very responsive and knowledgeable. We currently have 2 databases set up with ADP Workforce Now that I am in constantly daily. Working with the Garnishment Team, Wisely Team is always very helpful.
