"Effortless Setup, Superior Device Management"
What do you like best about Automox?

I love how Automox provides a centralized approach to managing our device estate, which immensely enhances our reporting and visibility of device health. The user interface is remarkably intuitive, and its simplicity stands out as a major advantage. Additionally, I highly value the ability to build custom worklets and policies tailored to our specific business needs, offering significant flexibility. Automox's integration with Rapid7 is another substantial benefit that enhances its functionality. The initial setup was very easy, quick, and straightforward, allowing us to be up and running within hours. Furthermore, the shift to Automox from Datto RMM was primarily driven by its cost-effectiveness, advanced functionality, and superior flexibility. Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with Automox's comprehensive offerings and would highly recommend it to others, giving it a rating of ten out of ten. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Automox?

I find the lack of integrations with Jira and Teams to be a limitation. This adds complexity to our workflow since these are tools we frequently use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best Patch management tool with multiple options"
What do you like best about Automox?

As a cybersecurity engineer, I find Automox extremely effective in mitigating outdated software with just a single click. The Group Policy customization options are excellent, allowing us to tailor settings such as scheduling, automatic restarts, and more to meet our specific needs. With the one-click scan feature, we can quickly patch devices, making the entire process seamless and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Automox?

I haven’t noticed any disadvantages so far. However, having a single, built-in connector for seamless integration with SIEM and ticketing tool would make it even more efficient and valuable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"efficient tool for patch management"
What do you like best about Automox?

Automox's automation process and capabilities save significant time by pushing updates across multiple devices. It has a highly user-friendly interface and offers cross-platform support, which is helpful for both Windows and Linux users. The real-time visibility into patch status and compliance reports is also a great help in maintaining security posture. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Automox?

While Automox is reliable, there can be occasional delays in reporting status updates after patches are deployed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Makes patching way less painful"
What do you like best about Automox?

We’ve been using Automox for a while, and honestly, it’s saved me a lot of headaches. Before, patching was this long, boring process I had to babysit, and sometimes updates would get missed. Now, most of it just happens on its own, even for our remote systems.

The dashboard is simple enough once you get used to it, and I like that I can set up policies and not worry too much after. Only thing is, in the beginning, figuring out custom policies took some trial and error. Reporting could also be more detailed without having to export stuff. But overall, it does what it promises and has made patch management way smoother for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Automox?

Takes a bit to learn, reporting could be better Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great product. Support can be better integrated"
What do you like best about Automox?

Using Automox to patch a mixed-use Linux environment has significantly streamlined our IT operations. Automox's cloud-native platform allows us to automate patch management across various Linux distributions, ensuring that all systems are up-to-date with the latest security patches and software updates. The intuitive interface and powerful automation capabilities enable us to schedule and deploy patches seamlessly, reducing the risk of vulnerabilities and improving overall system stability. Additionally, Automox provides real-time visibility into the patch status of all devices, allowing us to quickly identify and address any issues. This has not only enhanced our security posture but also freed up valuable time for our IT team to focus on more strategic initiatives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Automox?

Difficulty in accessing logs directly from the device page. This limitation can hinder efficient troubleshooting and monitoring, as it requires additional steps to locate and review logs. Streamlining this process by making logs more readily accessible would significantly enhance the user experience and improve overall operational efficiency. Despite this inconvenience, Automox remains a valuable tool in our IT arsenal, but addressing this issue would make it even more effective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Using automox for security (from a developer's view)"
What do you like best about Automox?

The best thing about Automox is that the entire solution is cloud based. Being a software developer it eliminates the need to have the entire complex solution, which makes it very easy to scale and deploy across different distributed team. Another thing that I find very useful is its ability to automate patching through policy-based rules, so this allows patches to be deployed efficiently without any disruptions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Automox?

The thing that I dislike about Automox is it does not have built in automatic patch rollback feature for problematic updates. So if it installs any patch which does not well E2E, we have to manually uninstall it or make custom updates to rectify Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful and Flexible Patching"
What do you like best about Automox?

Automox strikes a great balance between power and usability. The two standout features for me are Worklets and Patch Schedules. Worklets make it incredibly easy to automate complex configurations and remediations across platforms, while Patch Schedules allow precise control over when and how updates are applied—critical for minimizing business disruption. The UI is intuitive, and deployments are typically reliable and fast, even in remote environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Automox?

My main concern is with some of the reporting metrics—specifically around CVE exposure and time-to-remediate (TTR). For example, a critical vulnerability might show as “80 days exposed” in the dashboard, but that figure reflects the public discovery date, not when it was actually detected on the device. This can make it harder to evaluate internal performance and compliance. I’d also like to see more clarity or filters in vulnerability timelines. Lastly, while not entirely Automox’s fault, getting Apple M-Series devices into a patch-ready state takes extra manual steps, which adds to deployment friction. "Automox Review after testing and implementing across 200 devices"
What do you like best about Automox?

What I like most about Automox is the fact that it can apply patches to multiple different operating systems. I also like that it has the ability to schedule when patching will be done across multiple different groups of devices. Automox is one of the easiest implementations that I have done for patch management, its simple dashboard that can be exported to PDF that gives an overview of Compliant Devices, Policies Executed and available patches. Furthermore the policies that you can create are simple and effective, giving you options to install patches that does not require a reboot daily and patches that require a reboot weekly. Automox also integrates with SAML which makes sign in much more streamlined. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Automox?

I dont have much negative feedback other than the session expiry is a slight bit short, and it is quite expensive compared to other patch management solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Automox: MSSP Vulnerability Management"
What do you like best about Automox?

I’ve been using Automox as part of our organization’s MSSP services, and it’s become a key component of our vulnerability management offering. What stands out most is how straightforward and user friendly the platform is getting it up and running was a breeze. The product is always improving, with regular updates that show the team is serious about keeping it up to date and responsive to needs.

The support team is great to respond and really helpful whenever we’ve needed assistance. The leadership team deserves a shoutout for how well they listen to their customers. They value feedback and are committed to making Automox better. For anyone looking for a reliable, evolving tool to tackle patch/vulnerability management, Automox is a solid choice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Automox?

One area where Automox could improve is in reporting making it a bit more robust would really enhance the experience, especially for those of us digging into the details for MSSP work. Additionally, improving how third party application versions are displayed would make it easier for engineers to search for software deployed across their tenant.
