## About Accelo
Most PSA platforms tell you what happened. Accelo tells you what's coming. Professional services firms running on disconnected tools are making critical decisions on data that's always a few weeks behind: a project tool here, a resourcing spreadsheet there, an invoicing system that talks to neither. Scope drifts unnoticed. Margins erode before anyone sees them. Resourcing decisions get made on gut feel. And 42% of professional services firms are losing revenue they've already earned as a result. Accelo is an AI-powered PSA platform that connects project delivery, resourcing, and financials in one place and tells you what's coming before it becomes a problem. Not another tool to add to the stack. The platform that replaces the gaps between them. Where traditional PSA software records and reports, Accelo forecasts and flags. AI surfaces scope drift and margin risk in real time, while there's still a conversation to have, not a write-off to explain. Intelligent resourcing matches people to work based on skills, workload, and past performance, not just who has an opening in a spreadsheet. Capacity gaps show up against your live pipeline before they affect delivery, not after a hiring decision goes wrong. Accelo's AI is embedded across the platform, not bolted on as a separate module or a marketing claim. Predictive risk flagging monitors projects, resourcing, and financials simultaneously, surfacing early warning signals before they escalate. AI-predicted project completion dates update in real time as delivery data changes. Automated time capture logs billable hours as work happens, closing the gap between hours worked and revenue collected. Intelligent resource matching evaluates skills, workload, and past project performance (not just calendar availability) to recommend the right person for every engagement. For teams already using AI tools in their workflow, Accelo connects natively to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot via MCP, enabling natural language queries against live project, resource, and financial data without leaving the tools your team already uses. Every project your team completes makes the platform's recommendations sharper. Accelo serves agencies, consulting firms, IT services companies, and other professional services businesses with 20 to +500 employees managing a mix of project and retainer work, where leadership is making decisions based on incomplete or delayed data and the cost of finding out too late is already showing up in the margins.

## Accelo Reviews
 ### 1. overcomplicated, poor service and terrible training

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Accelo?**

Accelo has lots of features. more than are needed

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

There are multiple ways of doing things that are confusing for teams, you have to go through way to many steps to complete a simple task. Their training for my team only covered the very basics and when requesting training multiple times I recieved little support or costs of over $5000 for things we should have been trained in from the beginning. When trying to get assistance because we were unhappy with their product and service they just kept trying to sign us onto longer contract commitments rather than helping us out. we used Accelo since 2020 until November 2024 and we should have dropped it after 3 months of trying it out. big mistake. A warning to others - They are very good on the sell and upsell but once signed up , the service level drops and it feels like a money grab. There are plenty of other systems out there that are less cumbersome , better value and offer better service.

**What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was supposed to assist in managing projects, clients, team members and invoicing - Whist it did that it did it very poorly

**Official Response from Megan Mathewson:**

> Thank you for your honest feedback. We’re sorry to hear your experience fell short and appreciate you sharing your concerns. Simplifying workflows, improving training, and enhancing support are priorities we’re actively addressing. Tailored training resources and best practice setup recommendations are two core implementation initiatives we have already started rolling out to every client we partner with. If you’re open to it, we’d welcome a conversation to learn more and ensure your input guides our improvements.

 ### 2. Painful. Simply terrible software and company.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew C. | Managing Partner, Solution Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Accelo?**

Honestly the only thing I can say I like is what the software presents itself to be. It seems like a "one-stop solution" for all needs of a professional services or consulting firm. This would be potentially very useful!

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

Quality of the software. Shockingly terrible customer service. Manipulative and predatory sales tactics.

This software was built a long time ago and has not been modernized to the extent it should have. Many modern User Experience functions are not included. It feels like early 2000's software that has had a UI facelift. The look is more modern, but the function is not.

The user guides are not up to date and are not extensive. Finding out how this thing works is a tough slog.

Help desk resources made some comments to us along the lines of "yes we know you've been sending us tickets very regularly". Seems they have a joke with each other about how our company reaches out to for help too often. Shouldn't this be a sign that they should improve the customers experience rather than laughing about how often they have problems? If you want to talk to someone who "almost" understands how the software works you must pay $300/hr.

There are bugs that will make you wonder how this company is still in business.

We've been using the software for 6 months and we've identified at least 4 bugs that they agree are not intended function. 4 in six months?! These are not small bugs either:

1. Template "overdue invoice" reminder sends a belligerent email to your customer without your consent. Their response is "We will prioritize this bug with the needs of other customers".

2. The customer portal has data labeled incorrectly for your customers so your customers are unclear on how they are getting charged. Was told they would "prioritize this with other needs" even though the fix is just changing a few text fields.

3. When consultants input time they are given access to your list of contacts within the customer even though user permissions are set not to allow this. Gives your consultants and potential third party partners a complete list of your sales contacts within a customer. It took 4 meetings with Accelo for them to understand why this was a bad thing. Then finally admitted it was a bug and given the "we will prioritize this" line.

4. Contractor license does now allow for valuable company reporting. We have about 20 contractor licences that we were sold. Then after implementation we find out none of their data flows into company reporting. Can't see them in profitability for the company etc. Why would anyone ever want a license where the financial data produced by that user does not flow into company reporting? Customer service manager told me "yes, well you have to understand that we want you to pay for the full license". Well, we were sold these other licenses and never told that the data would not flow into reporting until after implementation. Then we met with a senior implementation person that said no that's not intended function. He said he would get back to us with a fix, we never heard back. Still can't see profitability across the whole company.

It's like being sold QuickBooks, then after you go through implementation you are told told "sorry the license you bought won't allow you to make a Balance Sheet you should buy the higher license that is 4x the cost of the one you bought"

Bugs in software is understandable; it happens. Good software is hard to make and few do it at a high level. However, there is no excuse for bad customer service and predatory sales tactics.

We evaluate software for a living. Accelo fails miserably in ease of use, function, price, customer service. It's bad. Really bad. Stay away if you value your sanity and hard earned cash.

**What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's not solving anything right now. We have spent many hours trying to get it set up and we cannot use it the way we wanted to. Accelo, at this time, has been a total waste of time and money.

**Official Response from Kit Lewis:**

> Hi Matthew, we're sorry to see you’ve been unhappy with your experience on the platform so far.

You mentioned that learning how to use the platform has been challenging. Because Accelo connects all stages of a client’s journey, it is a complex platform and it is most effective when customized to fit the unique needs of a business. This is why we encourage all new customers to take part in an implementation or training session to make sure the platform is set up successfully and to prevent issues down the line. We understand that some users prefer to implement the platform themselves, but proper professional setup and usage training is the best way to leverage the platform and more easily deliver your client work.

We want to address the concerns related to our support services. We are sorry if you felt your concerns were not being addressed appropriately. We take the matters of our clients very seriously and can assure you that our team thoughtfully handles all issues or questions that we receive.

We appreciate your feedback related to the current message in the overdue invoice template and are implementing updates. Users always have the ability to add a custom message at any time or select the default option that prevents any reminder message from being sent to clients.

Additionally, our records show that your concern related to the contractor permissions issue was due to internal changes made on the user permission level. It appears a resolution was provided and there was no bug to fix. If you’re still experiencing issues related to these permissions, please let our support team know so we can assist.

We understand that it can be frustrating when tickets need to be prioritized and our team is continuing to work on prioritizing improvements to the tickets process based on feedback shared by you and other clients. If you feel there is a critical change that is preventing you from successfully using the platform, please do not hesitate to let us know to help prioritize.

Finally, we want to address the concerns around contractor licenses. By choosing to add users as contractors, there are some functionalities that do not carry over from our full license users, which is reflected in the cost per seat. It was shared in the sales process when our team stated that contractors are limited access users who can only view and log time to assigned work. This does limit reporting. If reporting on contractor data is something you need, we would be happy to work with you to update your account.

Once again, we are very sorry to hear your experience with the platform has been unsatisfactory. If there is anything else we can do to ensure that you have a more positive experience moving forward, we would love the opportunity to do so.

 ### 3. A CRM that fails in many ways.

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason S. | Director, Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Accelo?**

The UI has improved over the years, but that is pretty much it.

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

We were kicked to the curb after supporting their platform for years, through its ups and downs. Last month they decided to double our license fee since we had less than 5 licenses. We were willing to accept a moderate price increase, as seen across most SAAS solutions during times of inflation, but this action by Accelo was unacceptable. Complete disregard for our history with them.
On top of that, for over 3 years we were waiting for them to allow for portal customizations that never materialized, along with other features pushed way down the development pipeline, if they even exist.
We integrate CRMs for our clients.
Simply put, there are many other CRM platforms available that surpass Accelo, in both breadth of features and price point.

**Recommendations to others considering Accelo:**

Like any good CRM, Accelo require proper setup and training. Workflow development and management are essentials here, but will pay off if they are adhered to by staff and regularly revised to remain consistent with industry standards and internal workflows. I highly recommend this CRM for agencies that use a subscription-based model with their customers, such as a monthly retainer.

**What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accelo was able to allow us to create effective retainers previously, however, the many bugs and glitches diminished our trust in the platform.
It was able to solve some integration isssues until a better solution came along and surpassed Accelo.

**Official Response from Kit Lewis:**

> Hi Jason, we’re sorry to see you were unhappy with your experience on the platform. As you reference in your review, Accelo does have a five user minimum to be most efficient and is priced competitively for teams of this size, especially with the common benefit of tool consolidation.

We understand that the minimum does not work for teams smaller than five, and we are sorry to hear that you feel this is unjust. We truly value your business and want you to utilize a platform that best fits your needs. Once again, we are sorry to hear you were unsatisfied but we do thank you for your feedback.

 ### 4. It is quite complicated

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Accelo?**

It has a lot of features, it is really hard to describe what is best in it. Probably it's the convenience to suite quite a large variety of company types, workflows and team constellations.

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

The UX is probably not the best, especially in time tracking. Loading times are quite high and the process of changing/editing times is tedious. Also the learning curve is quite high too.

**What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solved the problem to model our company setting into a structure without much sacrifices or cuts. So what I mentioned before, it is pretty flexible and adaptable.

**Official Response from Kit Lewis:**

> Thank you for leaving a review. While it is never ideal to see a 2-star review, we are grateful for you taking the time to share your feedback and we're glad to see that Accelo's flexibility has allowed your team to fit the platform into your company's existing structures and workflows. We'd love to connect with you to discuss some of the issues you're running into to better understand them and help resolve them. Please don't hesitate to reach out to your Customer Success Manager or our Support team at support@accelo.com. Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback.

 ### 5. Great basic capabilities, terrible power user features

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Accelo?**

it's nice to have the whole company on the same platform.

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

Actually being able to understand the availability of someone is incredibly complex. Perhaps I don’t understand what I’m looking at but when viewing someone’s availability it’s just like number soup. I don’t feel like I have any clarity on it but just a bunch of extra data

**What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At our company, we are using Forecast to handle resourcing. We use it to track timesheets and to assign users to different projects and tasks. This benefits me in that some people at my company understand this and can tell me what’s up. Every time I look at the dashboard though I get more confused

 ### 6. Poor customer service and clunky program.

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Accelo?**

I like the stream function where you can see conversations associated with a specific project.

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

Really poor customer service and the program itself is very dated and ugly to use. Poor user interface.

**What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm not sure. I don't use Accelo to the best it can as it is enforced by management.

**Official Response from Kit Lewis:**

> Thank you for leaving a review. While it's never ideal to see a 1-star review, we do appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad to see the platform's Activity Stream has been helpful in creating communication records for your team's projects. We'd love the opportunity to further discuss some of the concerns you've shared. If you're having any issues please don't hesitate to reach out to support@accelo.com and we encourage you to share any requests for improvements in our Ideas Forum at ideas.accelo.com.

 ### 7. Incredibly inflexible project management tool

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Accelo?**

I am unable to answer this question as I am very unhappy with the system and the team

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

We were sold things that do not exist. A task in Accelo is incredibly inflexible. We can not create custom fields, nor can we do any workflows and we are unable to add inline images. We were oversold and we are very unhappy

**What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They were supposed to unify our systems and what happened was we ended up creating shadow systems on Google Drive and Hubspot to manage the Accelo workflows. Very unhappy with this tool and would not recommend it to any agency.

**Official Response from Kit Lewis:**

> We are very sorry to hear that you have been unhappy with your experience using Accelo, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.

Hearing your concerns, we’d love to further discuss the system gaps you’re experiencing so we can provide solutions for managing your tasks and workflows in Accelo and help you achieve your goal of unified systems for your agency.

We’ve worked with numerous agencies who have found success customizing Accelo to support their workflows and manage their tasks and we would love the opportunity to talk with you to better understand your concerns and help make sure the platform is set up to fit your business needs.

We hope to have the chance to work with you to ensure that you have a more positive experience moving forward.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at support@accelo.com.

 ### 8. Many promises but couldn't work things out

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Accelo?**

Their ability to replace multiple tools we were using.

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

They couldn't work with our Salesforce system.

**What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None, we decided to stop services during setup.

**Official Response from Kit Lewis:**

> While we never want to see someone unhappy with their experience using our platform, we do appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you were unable to find a solution for connecting the platform to your Salesforce system. While we do offer an integration with Salesforce, we understand that each business will have varying needs for how these platforms work together.

Once more, we're very sorry to hear that your experience was unsatisfactory. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to our team and we would be happy to help.

 ### 9. We find Accelo to be a feature-rich project management platform that has a long learning curve.

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Accelo?**

I like the tracking features. I can assign tasks to my colleagues and keep track of project status. Timelines and dependencies are helpful. I can track my time on a project as well. I have picked up best practices on the platform well, but some of my colleagues haven't.

Accelo clearly has a lot of features, including some automation that we aren't currently using. The support team has helped answer my questions and provide additional training, but because of our specific needs, we need to create some workarounds. I wish we had more onboarding to make Accelo work best for our project and staff structure.

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

There is a steep learning curve for Accelo. It can be hard to figure out how to adjust tasks, track time correctly, and make sure the information is in Accelo for how my company uses it.

There are many features I'd love to add. I would appreciate features like copying tasks, assigning to multiple people, more specific budget viewing features would all be helpful. We have some workarounds to make the platform work for us, but I'd prefer some features added.

There are also specific project cases that need customization. Accelo is pretty rigid in their setup, so we have to make the platform work for us. This requires some workarounds. We're still learning, so I'm hoping it will get easier. Many of our freelancers have had more trouble than our staff figuring out how to track their time and tasks in Accelo. We are providing them some training, but we still find some issues.

**Recommendations to others considering Accelo:**

Accelo provides many features that you may appreciate. Project management software needs to work with your current setup. I think Accelo provides some excellent features, but you know how to put those features best to work for you. I think Accelo provides some automated features that can help your team manage projects, assign time, track budgets, and review schedules.

**What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At my company, we're using the Projects and Retainer features. Projects contain our discrete projects with a set start and end date. The feature allows us to set up a timeline to track work and budgets. We also use the dependencies and project templates to make project setup even easier.

Retainers allow us to track tasks assigned to our ongoing support clients. This allows us to create retainer periods for ongoing work and recurring tasks.

We use Accelo every day to track our project, retainer, schedules, and task statuses. My company also use Accelo to track our timesheets every week. In addition, we assign tasks and work through the platform to our staff and freelancers.

Accelo helps us keep our budgets in place and up to date. We're able to bill clients through Accelo and tie the project to a sale.

Time tracking is in the hh:mm format, so sometimes I'd track the wrong time if I input 1.5 meaning 1.5 hours but it logged a minute and a half. I learned you can solve this problem by putting an "h" after your entry 1.5h will log an hour and a half. Accelo provides an auto log feature but this was causing our account to have lots of small time entries on a project. I learned it's better for us to turn that autolog feature off and manually log our time when we enter it.

Accelo task boards help staff see what projects are assigned to them when, but those features require all staff to input as up to date inforamtion as possible.

**Official Response from Matty Sayer:**

> Hi Anonymous, it's never ideal to see a 2/5 review, but we appreciate you taking the time to share your detailed feedback, in particular anything constructive that allows us to improve the Accelo platform experience for our customers. We'd love to help you and the team continue to be successful, please don't hesitate to reach out to support@accelo.com for best practices around every day product usage, success@accelo.com for additional training and configuration services, or share any requests for improvements within our Ideas Forum at ideas.accelo.com. Thank you for continuing to support Accelo!

 ### 10. Reporting is not as dependable as anticipated, lots of changes occurring as the product develops

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Accelo?**

The labeling system for both resources and projects. As a Traffic Manager, this is helpful in matching work with resources from a high level, as well as tracking skill gaps and skill development across our team.

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

Reports are not dependable as they are changed so frequently (I will set up a reporting format, but then Forecast wipes out the metrics I was using and I have to rebuild my external reports). Exports are not titled properly (all exports have the same title), and data exports with letters in it (e.g. 4h 30m), which is not helpful when pulling CSVs into excel.
My team frequently encounters duplicate epics in Forecast (we link with Jira), and the viewing options for issues are limited (difficult to sift through issues in Forecast, so we defaulted back to using Jira).
The features that we request are not taken seriously or implemented, although we feel they are base features for resourcing tools. For example, the ability to visually mark individual allocations as tentative, the ability to transfer time marked unbillable as such in Forecast, an undo function, the ability to report planned allocations versus actual burn...the list goes on.

**Recommendations to others considering Accelo:**

While this tool isn't a great fit for our needs, I'm sure it would be a useful tool for others. If you're looking for solely a resourcing tool, as we were, it might be best to consider alternatives.

**What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Honestly, I don't know that we have realized any benefits since switching to this tool. We have recently explored the Quickbooks integration and, while it is less error-prone than our manual spreadsheet process, it is even more time-consuming. We left Float because it was buggy and quite frustrating, but I am hearing from our team that Forecast has not worked for them any better, and we are left missing some of the functionality that was offered by Float.

 ### 11. At least it’s not ConnectWise

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carl B. | FileMaker Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Accelo?**

It's not ConnectWise, other than that nothing really

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

Slow, difficult to use, I can never find my way around the software, nit very intuitive. Not a particularly good project management tool. You have to spend a lot of time messing around with it to get it to do anything

**What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Company uses it for project managemet and IT service desk

**Official Response from Matty Sayer:**

> Hi Carl, it's never ideal to see a 0/5 review, but we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry that you experienced some slow platform performance, we monitor our speed at all times, and our systems infrastructure team is always optimizing to ensure that our customers don't have slow periods, but unfortunately like with cloud-based systems as robust as Accelo, sometimes this is inevitable. I had a look within our records, but couldn't find you as an Accelo user - if you're having any issues please don't hesitate to reach out to support@accelo.com or share any requests for improvements within our Ideas Forum at ideas.accelo.com. Thank you for continuing to support Accelo!

 ### 12. It is quite difficult to navigate around and the interface is not user friendly.

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Accelo?**

I like the daily and weekly time sheet and being able to synchronize my calendar

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

The fact that you cannot set in deadlines for tasks you create within a retainer

**Recommendations to others considering Accelo:**

To switch to Asana

**What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am getting some better overview on time availability

**Official Response from Matty Sayer:**

> Hi Anonymous, it's never ideal to see a 1.5/5 review, but we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. Note, Accelo's Retainer Tasks are automatically created based on every new period (eg. every month), and have the ability to set Task Start Dates and Task Due Dates from within the Retainer settings. You can find more information on Retainer Task Due Dates / Deadlines within the help guide (https://www.accelo.com/resources/help/guides/user/modules/retainers/recurring-tasks/). Please also note that the concept of Retainer Tasks doesn't exist within Asana. If you ever have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to support@accelo.com or share any requests for improvements within our Ideas Forum at ideas.accelo.com. Thank you for continuing to support Accelo!

 ### 13. Hidden costs

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Accelo?**

Accelo is an all-round program that helps you manage your agency. It handles retainers very well

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

Hidden costs and cost of ownership is a big negative. After subscribing we were told that to get quick support we need to pay an additional $100 per month on top of the subscriptions. When asking for implementation support we were offered packages ranging from $600 for 3 hours to a few thousands dollars.
Another negative was the fact that Acello does not have one screen that shows all the work assigned to a user. A user need to toggle between tasks and tickets to get a few of his day.

**What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One view of client profitability

 ### 14. Way too complicated!

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kara L. | Photographer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Accelo?**

I loved the potential. Accelo claims it can do just about anything and I loved that. I loved the idea that it was everything that I would need out of a CRM. I loved that everything was in one place, and even though it was complicated, my company could grow within it.

I liked the way that it setup projects, the way it set our timelines and could assign jobs to my team.

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

Far too complicated. My CFO told me that this software was too complicated, "overly complicated" but, I was in love with everything it was capable of. So, we signed up just one user and decided that we were going to figure it out, and then add the rest of the team.

I have always been able to figure out my CRM software without training. I had no chance with Accelo. I watched every, single video, I asked a thousand questions. My CFO watched every, single how-to video. My team spent hours and hours and hours trying to get it all running correctly. Every time we made progress and were ready to spread into another area of the software, we started the whole nightmare over again.

After six months we were barely using the project management, client portal, and the billing. The training was exhausting and took MORE time than just using a series of notebooks. A CRM should clean up time, eliminate complications, streamline everything. Accelo only complicated things. My clients couldn't understand the portal so I spent hours teaching them.

I finally called it three days ago. I have been using our new software for two days. It is a Godsend.

**Recommendations to others considering Accelo:**

Only consider Accelo if your teams has more then 60 hours for training and setup and you are willing to pay for them to personally walk through each and every aspect with your team. This is NOT a DIY software.

**What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were attempting to create complete and organized systems and management for our business. We needed project management, a client portal, client contracts, everything organized, everything running like clockwork.

Unfortunately, after six months, we had none of that. The setup was beyond complicated. The "how-to" videos followed no organized system or plan. We dumped hours and hours and hours into this software and were still not able to utilize the aspects that we needed.

 ### 15. Beware - Accelo is Difficult At Best

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Accelo?**

The tool is highly powerful and has a broad feature set.

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

The learning curve is so steep that even highly tech-savvy teams may quickly be buried in training and frustrated by Accelo's attempt to demand a new way of doing many of your business processes. For the tool to work as fully intended you have to email and do all calendar entries from the tool - yet it lacks all of the common functionality like calendar sharing, scheduling a conference room or GoToMeeting integration which means you either loose features of Accelo or you work with sub--par technology. The gannt chart is pretty bad and the UI/UX is behind times. They admit this. They also admit that their client portal is lacking and poor. I would never have selected Accelo had I realized the complexity, learning curve and the way it causes you to completely shift so many processes. It's frustrating and disrupts your business significantly.

**Recommendations to others considering Accelo:**

Beware and really dig in and talk to other users in your specific industry. The sales team will tell exaggerate the benefits and features of the tool to close the sale. Plan for a 3-6 month implementation period with at least 200 hours of training and hands-on practice. Most of that time is the later and know that it will be frustrating. The structure and naming convention for the tool is not ordinary and you will be forced to think and do things differently than you might think is best for your business. Accelo expects you to make significant changes in your processes to accommodate the restrictions or shortcomings of their tool.

**What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Task management, time tracking on projects, dependancies across tasks.

**Official Response from Indy Shanman:**

 ### 16. Work smarter not harder

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin P. | Auto/General Liability Adjuster, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Accelo?**

The overall efficiency is something we truly value in the product.

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

I dislike the amount it cost per month.

**What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not running the same project over and over has really been beneficial. We have been able to utilize our time across a better array of projects.

 ### 17. Needs improvement.

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2016

**What do you like best about Accelo?**

Accelo provides streamlined communication all in one platform.

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

Accelo uses confusing verbiage that is difficult to pick up as a company.

**What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had been using multiple platforms and repeating our efforts on those. Now, everything is one platform, although we are still learning as a company.

**Official Response from Arielle Shnaidman:**

> Thanks so much for the feedback. We're always looking to improve our product and give our customers the absolute best experience. Please let us know if we can help with anything in the meantime.
