Phrase TMS is an excellent tool for me as a translator, receiving jobs from clients. In the job overview, I can see which jobs are new, started on, or completed. The editing view, where I add my translations, is also very nice. When I have a phrase that is very similar to an old one, Phrase gives me the translation of the older, similar phrase and shows me exactly where the two phrases differ. It's also easy to work with Term Banks and add terms when needed.

If there is something to complain about, then it's the fact that Phrase doesn't necessarily recognize conjugated forms of terms. The platform is very intuitive to use and it's easy to work with either as a translator or as a project manager. When setting up projects, the step by step format is very helpful, as you cannot forget about anything when creating the jobs and assigning them. The content hub has a lot of insightful and helpful information in case you have doubts. Phrase has been optimizing the use of AI, but it's not forcing it on you if you don't feel like using it, so that's also great. J'adore pouvoir accepter le projet sous Phrase Web, télécharger le fichier joint et ensuite continuer EN LIGNE sous Phrase Desktop avec tous les paramètres. C'est très utile pour moi en tant que traducteur professionnel.

Fonctionnalités et avantages de Phrase Desktop :

- Interface utilisateur et disposition très faciles

- Outil puissant - très léger et rapide, je peux l'utiliser même sur mon ultrabook

- Le traitement, par exemple, d'un projet de 120 000 mots avec MTPE est très rapide, le défilement fonctionne à merveille, le filtrage des segments fonctionne comme un ouragan, presque instantanément !

Je n'aime pas la limite de fichiers lorsque j'accepte des projets avec plus de 600-700 fichiers.

Un autre problème est la gestion de la terminologie - dans mon travail, je suis concentré sur l'optimisation et j'utilise des glossaires personnalisés avec de la terminologie. La fonctionnalité pour ajouter de nouveaux termes nécessite que j'utilise le raccourci deux fois puis que je clique sur l'option requise. Cela ne simplifie pas mon processus.

Actuellement, j'utilise la version de maintenance de Phrase Desktop - 26.2.1. Je suis très déçu que cet outil de bureau ne soit plus développé. Veuillez reconsidérer le développement futur, en effet !

J'apprécie vraiment comment la plateforme de localisation Phrase peut télécharger presque n'importe quoi tout en conservant le format, les chiffres et le nombre de phrases clairs. Eh bien, le modèle de tarification est un peu strict. Parce que vous payez pour les unités d'IA. Vous payez pour un certain nombre de chaînes ou de clés qui sont, disons, suspendues dans Phrase. The Linguist user role has no analysis feature, making tracking of progress difficult in large files. - Cumbersome and bug-ridden QA. No 'ignore all' feature for individual words in spell check, no permanent ignore list either. This is often a massive time sink and also a quality hazard since there are often too many false positives. The termbase does not properly support inflective/agglutinative languages and often causes far too many false positives in QA, and also erroneous alarms about forbidden terms that do not even exist in the translation or source. - No possibility to create a TM-like document pool that supports the job at hand. Such a feature exists, for example, in MemoQ (where it is called LiveDocs) and is incredibly helpful. - No 'muse' feature, i.e., no way of turning a TM into autocomplete phrases. - No possibility to create or add TMs of your own in the Linguist role. - No alignment feature. - Too little power to the translator in general. All in all, Phrase is a lightweight option for small translation jobs, but anything larger, more complex or demanding, and its lack of productivity features starts to show. This also has a negative impact on the translator's financial results. I have personally turned down some Phrase jobs for this reason. I like how easy it is to use and navigate the working environment. I find the editor and TMS efficient in completing my tasks as a linguist and PM in your everyday work. Furthermore, I also like the number of features and the UI is clean and light. Especially, that developers are constantly updating the tool with users' feedback in mind. Sometimes I experienced minor glitches and after updates some UI elements don't work properly. I'd love to see more filtering options (e.g. select custom ranges etc.) and also a redesigned approach to collaborative work for teams inside one organisation – the current commenting feature is quite limited. What I like best about Phrase is that it is very user-friendly and similar to my own CAT software, so the learning curve was very easy and I felt confident to use almost immediately. There are plenty of helpful functionalities and the filters work very well. Auto-propagation is highly efficient, saving me a lot of time. The layout is very clear and easy on the eyes.
