"my SAP experience"
What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?

Strong integration with SAP: ideal if the company already uses SAP ERP or S/4HANA, as the data is centralized (customers, orders, invoices, etc.).

Robust solution: suitable for large organizations with complex processes.

Extended features: management of sales, marketing, customer service, campaigns, analytics.

Customization: ability to adapt workflows and screens to specific needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?

Complexity of the interface: often considered unintuitive and outdated compared to more modern CRMs (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho).

Learning curve: requires a lot of training for users.

High cost: licenses + integration + maintenance → often much more expensive than "ready-to-use" cloud CRMs.

Deployment time: long and costly projects, especially in large companies.

Rigidity: even if customizable, some find the solution cumbersome and less agile in the face of changing needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Enterprise Grade Commerce with a Steep Learning Curve"
What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?

What I appreciate most about SAP Commerce Cloud is its capability to accommodate complex, enterprise-level commerce needs on a scalable platform. It efficiently manages extensive product catalogs, pricing rules, and customer data, which is essential for both B2B and B2C environments. The platform's flexibility allows it to support various channels and customer interactions from a single backend system.

Additionally, a significant advantage is its integration with the wider SAP ecosystem. It seamlessly connects with SAP ERP, S/4HANA, and other SAP solutions, ensuring consistent data across orders, inventory, and customer information. This integration facilitates the delivery of a more seamless and personalized customer experience while maintaining robust backend control. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?

One of the primary challenges associated with SAP Commerce Cloud is its complexity. Implementing and customizing the platform typically necessitates skilled developers, which can require considerable time and effort. For teams that are new to the platform, the learning curve can be quite steep. Additionally, performance tuning and system upgrades can be quite demanding. The overall costs related to licensing and infrastructure may also be substantial, posing a potential concern for smaller organizations or those with simpler commerce requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Professional enterprise solution with extensive integration possibilities"
What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?

I greatly appreciate the adaptability of SAP Commerce Cloud, as it allows for easy customization to one's own needs by extending the Java core, configuring via ImpEx, or modifying the data model through the items.xml structure. This flexibility is particularly valuable in the development of enterprise online platforms. Additionally, SAP Commerce Cloud offers an extensive baseline into which customer-specific processes can be easily integrated. The ability to integrate this software with other tools from the SAP suite demonstrates the strong connectivity and interoperability of SAP Commerce Cloud. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?

The build process in SAP Commerce Cloud takes a very long time, even an empty base project requires a lot of time for setup. Deployment in CCv2 is also cumbersome and involves many manual steps that each implementation partner must automate individually. Furthermore, a real customer project requires a lot of preliminary work to provide a clean development environment, which makes getting started difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Versatile Deployment, Challenging Integrations"
What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?

I like the easy deployment possibilities that SAP Commerce Cloud offers, as it simplifies getting things up and running efficiently in our e-commerce and B2B projects. The wide range of properties available in the product model is another feature I appreciate, as it allows for more flexibility and customization to meet specific business needs. Additionally, the availability of out-of-the-box features that can be enabled via extensions is immensely helpful, as it saves time and reduces the complexity of implementation. The initial setup process is straightforward as well, especially when following the correct guide, which makes beginning with SAP Commerce Cloud less daunting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?

I dislike that while SAP Commerce Cloud states that integrations with other systems are out-of-the-box, this is not always the case. We often struggle with the complexity of integrations with other systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?

I find SAP Commerce Cloud quite complex to understand initially. The learning curve is significant, particularly when customizing feeds to meet organizational requirements and provide optimal customer experiences. It often demands a considerable amount of time to adapt and get hands-off with various features, which can be challenging if you're not already familiar with SAP's systems. "Robust and Scalable E-Commerce Platform for Complex Business Needs"
What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?

SAP Commerce Cloud is a powerful enterprise-level e-commerce platform that excels in handling complex B2B and B2C operations. Its strong integration with the broader SAP ecosystem (such as SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA) makes it ideal for organizations that already use SAP products and want a unified digital commerce experience.

The platform offers deep customization, advanced product catalog management, and strong multi-site and multi-language support — all crucial for global businesses. Performance and scalability are impressive, especially when deployed on the cloud, and the headless commerce capabilities allow teams to build flexible front-end experiences using modern frameworks.

However, SAP Commerce Cloud does have a steep learning curve and can be resource-intensive to implement and maintain. Customization often requires skilled developers, and costs can be high compared to more plug-and-play solutions.

Pros:

Excellent integration with SAP ecosystem

Strong B2B and B2C capabilities

Highly customizable and scalable

Reliable performance in large-scale deployments

Best For:

Large enterprises or organizations with complex commerce requirements and an existing SAP landscape. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?

Cons:

Complex setup and maintenance

High total cost of ownership

Requires technical expertise for customization

Best For:

Large enterprises or organizations with complex commerce requirements and an existing SAP landscape. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Robust Engine Behind an Epic Shopping Experience"
What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?

With SAP Commerce Cloud, I felt like we had a robust partner. The platform behaves like a high-performance engine that seamlessly manages an immense amount of products, orders, and traffic. For the end user (the purchasing customer), the experience is seamless and frictionless, which is the most favorable and universally accessible feature. What I like most, and which is extremely beneficial for anyone who works with websites (without being a programmer), is the ability to personalize the customer experience through AI. The platform has built-in tools that allow: AI-powered Product Recommendations: Show customers the products they really want to see, based on their purchasing history and patterns. Personalized Content: I can change entire banners and promotions on the homepage or in specific categories for different customer segments. The user interface for making these changes is intuitive. You don't need to be a developer to improve conversion rates. For a marketing or product manager, this ease of use for delivering hyper-personalized experiences is pure gold. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?

Well, the software is incredibly powerful, but precisely because of its complexity and its origins in the enterprise world, it requires highly specialized developers and consultants. It's not that easy to find talent outside the SAP/Hybris niche, and if you do find it, it's usually expensive. In short: implementation and major modifications require a significant investment of time and money, and if you don't have an experienced in-house team, you're heavily reliant on SAP partners. It's not a "plug and play" solution for getting to market quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A powerful solution for ambitious businesses"
What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?

What I find most useful is its ability to manage complex catalogs and adapt to omnichannel architectures. The native integration with other SAP modules (ERP, CRM) allows for data centralization that streamlines operations. The platform is robust, scalable, and designed for high-volume environments. It also offers fine customization of customer journeys, which is a real advantage for marketing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?

What seems less useful to me is the technical complexity of the implementation. Experienced teams are needed to fully benefit from it, which can hinder SMEs. The overall cost (license + maintenance + training) is high. Finally, some advanced features lack clarity in the documentation, which sometimes slows down deployment. "Feedback from My Experience"
What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?

While SAP Commerce Cloud offers a lot of powerful features, I find it can be overly complex for new users. The setup process is lengthy, and sometimes the documentation isn’t as clear as it could be, which slows down onboarding. Customizations require significant development effort, and updates occasionally introduce unexpected issues. Additionally, the cost can be quite high for smaller teams, and technical support response times could be improved. Overall, it’s a strong platform, but there’s a learning curve and some operational challenges to consider Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?

What I dislike most about SAP Commerce Cloud is that it can be quite complex to set up and manage, especially for new users. The documentation is sometimes unclear, which slows down onboarding and troubleshooting. Customizations often require significant technical effort, and updates can occasionally cause unexpected issues. Pricing is also on the higher side, making it less accessible for smaller businesses. While powerful, it definitely comes with a steep learning curve and some operational challenges. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Enterprise grade, cloud based but overkill for small enterprises, costs a lot for customizations"
What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?

being in retail and working with world's top knotch brands I can say this is one of the best products larger enterprise can use, its feature rich, and out of the box, supports omnichannel and good handling of global catalogues, great with SAP ecosystem integration, great with performance and stable product. supports almost all business use cases, how complex it may be and offers great level of personalization and excellent user experience. customer support is good in many cases Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?

again everything boils down to the cost of implementation and managing it, sadly just like other sap products its very costly, it not that easy to implement and use so we can say end users will have to spend a lot of time to learn the system, its you endup using as is good for you else it has too much of customization overhead, again just like other sap products it has upgrades or you can say maintainence burden, you don't have options to run it on any cloud providers you have to stick to azure in many cases, small businesses can't run it due to heavy cost, so meant for bigger cash rich businesses, if comparison to its competitors, its take more time for a store front to go live, unless you have sap in your ecosystem heavy embedded, I will not suggest sap, but again its a real deal if you choose to go with this Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
