**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

I like how SAP Commerce Cloud handles data outputs and inputs, as this helps in the traceability of raw materials in the warehouse. I also appreciate the accumulation of data in the database, which is useful in my work environment.

**What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

The menus are not very intuitive and modern.

**What problems is SAP Commerce Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP Commerce Cloud for the traceability of raw materials in the warehouse, improving data accumulation.

 ### 2. Seamless Integration, Complex Implementation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maxime G. | Procurement Specialist Asia Pacific

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

I like SAP Commerce Cloud for its seamless SAP ERP integration, which is quite valuable for handling our internal B2B procurement catalogue. I also appreciate the advanced catalogue management feature that helps manage complex B2B catalogues effectively.

**What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

I find the supplier onboarding process complex, which makes it harder to get new suppliers set up efficiently. The initial setup of SAP Commerce Cloud is also a challenge due to its complex technical implementation.

**What problems is SAP Commerce Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP Commerce Cloud to manage complex B2B catalogs with seamless SAP ERP integration.

 ### 3. The Robust Engine Behind an Epic Shopping Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jesus R. | IT Reporting & Analytics , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

With SAP Commerce Cloud, I felt like we had a robust partner. The platform behaves like a high-performance engine that seamlessly manages an immense amount of products, orders, and traffic. For the end user (the purchasing customer), the experience is seamless and frictionless, which is the most favorable and universally accessible feature. What I like most, and which is extremely beneficial for anyone who works with websites (without being a programmer), is the ability to personalize the customer experience through AI. The platform has built-in tools that allow: AI-powered Product Recommendations: Show customers the products they really want to see, based on their purchasing history and patterns. Personalized Content: I can change entire banners and promotions on the homepage or in specific categories for different customer segments. The user interface for making these changes is intuitive. You don't need to be a developer to improve conversion rates. For a marketing or product manager, this ease of use for delivering hyper-personalized experiences is pure gold.

**What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

Well, the software is incredibly powerful, but precisely because of its complexity and its origins in the enterprise world, it requires highly specialized developers and consultants. It's not that easy to find talent outside the SAP/Hybris niche, and if you do find it, it's usually expensive. In short: implementation and major modifications require a significant investment of time and money, and if you don't have an experienced in-house team, you're heavily reliant on SAP partners. It's not a "plug and play" solution for getting to market quickly.

**What problems is SAP Commerce Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem we solved was the dispersion of data and complex processes (especially in the B2B environment). We had the product catalog on one side (in a giant Excel spreadsheet), pricing in another system (ERP), warehouse management in another, and the e-commerce website was a silo. This meant descriptions were outdated, prices were incorrect, and managing complex orders (for example, with variants or B2B configurations) was a manual nightmare.

 ### 4. A powerful solution for ambitious businesses

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** christian A. | entrepreneur, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

What I find most useful is its ability to manage complex catalogs and adapt to omnichannel architectures. The native integration with other SAP modules (ERP, CRM) allows for data centralization that streamlines operations. The platform is robust, scalable, and designed for high-volume environments. It also offers fine customization of customer journeys, which is a real advantage for marketing.

**What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

What seems less useful to me is the technical complexity of the implementation. Experienced teams are needed to fully benefit from it, which can hinder SMEs. The overall cost (license + maintenance + training) is high. Finally, some advanced features lack clarity in the documentation, which sometimes slows down deployment.

**What problems is SAP Commerce Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Data centralization: Integrate customer and product information for coherent management.
- Management of complex catalogs: Ideal for companies with numerous products.
- Seamless omnichannel experience: Standardize customer journeys across all channels.
- Simplified updates: SaaS model with regular updates without interruption.
- Scalability and performance: Adapts to traffic peaks and rapid growth.

 ### 5. Feedback from My Experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rajat B. | Head of sales and Client, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

While SAP Commerce Cloud offers a lot of powerful features, I find it can be overly complex for new users. The setup process is lengthy, and sometimes the documentation isn’t as clear as it could be, which slows down onboarding. Customizations require significant development effort, and updates occasionally introduce unexpected issues. Additionally, the cost can be quite high for smaller teams, and technical support response times could be improved. Overall, it’s a strong platform, but there’s a learning curve and some operational challenges to consider

**What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

What I dislike most about SAP Commerce Cloud is that it can be quite complex to set up and manage, especially for new users. The documentation is sometimes unclear, which slows down onboarding and troubleshooting. Customizations often require significant technical effort, and updates can occasionally cause unexpected issues. Pricing is also on the higher side, making it less accessible for smaller businesses. While powerful, it definitely comes with a steep learning curve and some operational challenges.

**What problems is SAP Commerce Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Commerce Cloud helps solve the complexity of managing large-scale e-commerce operations by providing a unified platform for product content, order management, and customer experience. It integrates different systems seamlessly, which saves time and reduces errors. This benefits me by streamlining workflows, improving efficiency, and enabling faster product updates. It also allows for better personalization, which helps improve customer satisfaction and drives sales growth

 ### 6. Enterprise grade, cloud based but overkill for small enterprises, costs a lot for customizations

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Neeraj C. | Information Technology Delivery Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

being in retail and working with world's top knotch brands I can say this is one of the best products larger enterprise can use, its feature rich, and out of the box, supports omnichannel and good handling of global catalogues, great with SAP ecosystem integration, great with performance and stable product. supports almost all business use cases, how complex it may be and offers great level of personalization and excellent user experience. customer support is good in many cases

**What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

again everything boils down to the cost of implementation and managing it, sadly just like other sap products its very costly, it not that easy to implement and use so we can say end users will have to spend a lot of time to learn the system, its you endup using as is good for you else it has too much of customization overhead, again just like other sap products it has upgrades or you can say maintainence burden, you don't have options to run it on any cloud providers you have to stick to azure in many cases, small businesses can't run it due to heavy cost, so meant for bigger cash rich businesses, if comparison to its competitors, its take more time for a store front to go live, unless you have sap in your ecosystem heavy embedded, I will not suggest sap, but again its a real deal if you choose to go with this

**What problems is SAP Commerce Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

my client had SAP ( ERO and finance modules) running in his it landscape so I suggested him SAP commerce cloud, we had challenges around B2B contract, custom pricing, multiple channels and larger catalogiue so this products fits well in all use cases,

 ### 7. My experiexce with using SAP for the past 6 months

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Štěpán . | Business Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

I started working with SAP pretty recently, around 6m ago when I, as a consultant started on a project for a telco company in the Czech republic. I have been using SAP and communicating with people using SAP almost daily.
Here are my thoughts:
Ease of Use: SAP Commerce Cloud is powerful but not very intuitive or easy to use at first. The learning curve is steep, especially for new developers or business users. Once configured and customized, day-to-day management is fairly smooth, but it’s definitely not “plug and play.”
Implementation is complex and very time-consuming. You need an experienced team to get it right, and going live did require a significant effort. Prebuilt templates help, but (in my experience helping coworkers) customization is almost always required.
Support from SAP is in my experience reliable and professional, I contacted support a couple of times during configuration and to understand some best practices.
Our company was already in the SAP ecosystem, so integrations (in our case ERP, S/4HANA) are straightforward and smooth. Connecting to non-SAP systems, however, can require more effort and custom work.

**What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

The only downside i can think of is pretty High cost. I guess you can also say that the learning curve is very steep and the complexity of the software is high. When jumping versions or incorporating new modules, migrations or architectural changes can become challenging, especially if many customizations are in play. In certain scenarios (especially with big data or complex problems), response times can lag.

**What problems is SAP Commerce Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a consultant working with a telco company in the Czech Republic, SAP Commerce Cloud helps us manage complex product catalogs, bundles, and promotions while ensuring smooth integration with SAP ERP. It enables consistent customer experiences across channels and scales pretty reliably during high-demand launches.

 ### 8. Scalable and Robust, But Complex Setup

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikhil D. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

I like the ability of SAP Commerce Cloud to handle and manage large and complex commerce operations nicely. Its scalability supports business in high traffic situations and the performance is nice.

**What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

The complexity of the program didn't work well, as configuring the system and customization took time and required technical expertise.

**What problems is SAP Commerce Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Commerce Cloud helps me manage large product catalogs, pricing rules, and orders on a single platform. It's scalable, supporting high-traffic commerce operations efficiently.

 ### 9. Cloud Consultant

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jesus D. | Business Development Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

What I like best about SAP Commerce Cloud is how flexible and scalable it is. It allows businesses to manage complex product catalogs, integrate smoothly with other SAP solutions, and deliver personalized customer experiences. I also like that it’s cloud-based, which makes it easier to update, maintain, and support long-term growth.

**What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

What I dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud is that it can be complex to implement and customize at first. It requires strong technical expertise and time to set up properly, which can be challenging for some businesses. However, once it’s up and running, the platform is powerful and provides a lot of value.

**What problems is SAP Commerce Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From my experience as a consultant, SAP Commerce Cloud really helps businesses simplify their e-commerce operations. A lot of clients come in dealing with scattered systems, messy product data, and difficulties creating a consistent customer experience. What I’ve seen is that SAP Commerce Cloud brings everything into one place, makes integration smoother, and gives them the ability to personalize the journey for their customers. The benefit for me is seeing clients gain efficiency, feel less stressed about their systems, and focus more on growing their business.

**Reviewed by:** Tiarnan B. | Senior Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

The RTA and its scalability potential are notable. Overall, it offers a relatively fast implementation, which is beneficial. Additionally, the security features are a strong point, as they help us meet our compliance requirements.

**What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

While this can be considered a strength, it also poses a risk for those of us who require top-tier security when handling sensitive data. Additionally, the learning curve can be quite challenging. Integration may present issues as well, especially depending on the existing systems in place, such as hybrid or legacy systems.

**What problems is SAP Commerce Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall, there is a reduction in potential excessive costs once the system is fully integrated successfully. RTD and AI insights have the potential to enhance overall efficiency. Additionally, the ongoing maintenance of a live system is a significant benefit.

What is left to be desired when leveraging the SAP Commerce Cloud tool is that there is a big learning curve when first starting on this tool. It is more complex and it has a higher cost than other tools.

The solution offers a great deal of freedom and flexibility, allowing you to extend its capabilities in numerous ways. You can customize it with your own extensions or integrate external services, all within a headless architecture that resembles the microservices approach.

 ### 19. Powerful B2B Integration, But Complexity Slows Simpler Projects

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

Best part: robust B2B features and deep SAP integration – pricing, stock, and orders align seamlessly with S/4. Ideal for complex, international B2B setups.

**What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

Biggest downside: complexity and overhead. Even small changes can feel heavy. Cloud operations and upgrades aren’t as smooth as “cloud” suggests, and front-end development (Spartacus) still demands significant effort. Great for enterprise scale — cumbersome for anything simpler.

**What problems is SAP Commerce Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves enterprise-scale B2B and integration challenges — complex pricing, product structures, and SAP backend processes all work together in one platform. The benefit: fewer custom integrations, consistent data, and streamlined order flows, which means faster time to market and lower maintenance effort overall.

 ### 20. Great Personalization and Omnichannel Support

Integration cost of SAP Commerce Cloud is on the higher side specially for small businesses and users initially find it challenging to learn to implement its features.

**What problems is SAP Commerce Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1.) Providing personalized journey to customers.
2.) Comprehensive product management and order fulfillment capabilities.
3.) Seamless integration of SAP Commerce Cloud with other SAP solutions.

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

I appreciate that we have the ability to add item pricing for both promotions and regular, everyday pricing. It's convenient that these changes take effect automatically once the dates are entered. I also really like having the option to update customer-specific pricing.

The data integration time frames are the least helpful feature for me. Sometimes, it takes a long time to integrate the data, which makes it difficult to get certain information into the system easily.

 ### 33. Very powerful but the UI is unintuitive

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stefan H. | E-Commerce Optimisation Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2024

**What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

Very powerful for accounting and offers more features than we need at the moment. Somthing that we can grow into if we need it.

**What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

Not very intuative user interface and impossable to use as a new user without a guide, even for simple things like finding month to date revinue for your channels. The reporting could also be a lot more visaul and is very slow to use without an intagration like VM statistics excel intagration. Even then reports can only be generated by one user at a time and are still a nighmare of a user interface with lots of cryptically named data fields and lots of duplicates.

Some of this is due to the way our company has this excel intagration setup but an inbuilt user friendly reporting tool would remove the need for a clunky excel intagration all together.

**What problems is SAP Commerce Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mostly reporting for e-commerce channels and exporting sales data

 ### 34. Solid platform for B2C e-commerce

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ivan R. | Inspektor Datalaft - Risk Consulting Global, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2024

**What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

We are currently testing a new online store on SAP Commerce Cloud, mainly as an alternative to Magento. We see that it is a very solid and robust platform that integrates perfectly with the other services offered by SAP. Additionally, the configuration is simple, which facilitates implementation in a reduced time compared to other options on the market. The product upload is very easy and the inventory update as well.

**What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

one of the things we liked the least is the customization capability. Although it is customizable in most aspects, it is necessary to have a skilled development team to make any modifications, even if it's something simple at a visual or functionality level.

**What problems is SAP Commerce Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we have noticed that they are strengthening the training part so that new users can better understand the system and its functioning, this adds a lot of value especially when considering that it is not a platform as easy to use as other options on the market

Two things that I like the best are - 1. Automated sending invoices and reminders which make sure our cash flow is intact. 2. Various data analysis options which help in monitoring customer behaviour and in providing insights for increase in business.
