Especially, as PatentRenewal contacts you with details about your patents that are publicly available but this just underlines that one may take this as a potential threat. Chargebee's UI is by far the most complicated and unintuitive I have ever used in my entire life. Settings that you would expect to work with a single click, like auto-renewal, require manual intervention on every invoice. Adding products is as complicated as solving a Rubik's cube. Getting in touch with their support takes days, and most support agents will tell you that they either don't know how to solve your problem or they are uninterested in doing so.

Chargebee will even do stuff like delete your password, encourage you to create a new password, and then tell you that you can't use your old password to change your password because they deleted that password. All-In is one of the worst tools I've ever used. I actually think they need to burn down the app and start over if they want this to be successful. One area for improvement is the onboarding experience. Because TIP Tool includes a wide range of features, from idea management to portfolio analytics and AI-powered insights, it can take some time for new users to become familiar with the platform. Before TIP Tool, a lot of our IP work was spread across emails, spreadsheets, docketing data, and conversations with outside counsel. It was difficult to get a clear view of which ideas were worth pursuing, where each application stood, and where we were spending time and budget.

TIP Tool brings that information together. We can capture and review ideas, track applications, and use examiner, Art Unit, and cost insights to have better conversations about what to file, continue, or reconsider. I don’t have any specific negative opinions about Corsearch. The main challenge we’ve had is that it’s been difficult to get a clear overview of our cases when they fall outside our package, which currently covers only marketplaces. For non-marketplace matters, we purchase that service on a case-by-case basis, but it would still be helpful to have an overview showing the current status of those non-marketplace cases as well. It helps us proactively get an overview of which listings are out there in the marketplaces that might be offering counterfeit products, and it gives us the tools to act accordingly. A few things that could use some polish: we've run into occasional outages, which doesn't happen too often but could potentially be an issue if I needed to get an urgent invoice out. I'd also love the ability to export just my search results rather than being forced to export every invoice each time - a small thing, but it'd save a lot of time. Lastly, because of how tightly Tabs integrates with our other systems, there are some restrictions on making manual updates or edits, which can be a bit limiting when we need to make a quick fix on the fly. The biggest problem it solves for me is keeping track of my subscriptions. Freemius lets me sell my SaaS globally without building my own billing stack or worrying about tax compliance across countries. As Merchant of Record they take on the regulatory and financial complexity, so I can put my energy into the actual product instead of payments.

But what really stood out was how hands-on they were getting me set up. Almost everything I needed help with, from configuring marketing email settings to setting up my payment plans, they walked me through personally. Maxio is a huge timesaver in automating manual processes. The integration with QBO (Canadian version), Salesforce and Avalara works smoothly. It has really taken away the mental load of wondering if we've captured everything. I used my rev rec spreadsheet for the last time within weeks of starting the implementation.
