"PATTSY WAVE: Intuitive UI, Powerful Tools, and Outstanding Support"
5/5
What do you like best about PATTSY WAVE?

We have been using PATTSY WAVE for eight years, and I find the most valuable features to be Data Validation, Auto Docket & Download, and the Interactive Docket. Integrating these tools into our team's workflow has definitely improved our efficiency. With the addition of the new Upload Utility tool, portfolio intake is now much more streamlined and faster.

I also really like the user interface—it is both intuitive and visually appealing.

Furthermore, the customer support and training teams are excellent. They are always extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PATTSY WAVE?

I would appreciate a more effective way to handle docketing for Copyrights, Trademark Oppositions, and General Matters within the General module. Placing all these different types of matters under a single module increases the risk of inconsistent data entry by our team, which in turn makes it harder to search for information and to establish consistent procedures. "Powerful Data Reporting with Flexible Views, But Missing a Key Feature"
4.5/5
What do you like best about PATTSY WAVE?

I appreciate how easy it is to pull information into a table and generate reports from the data (ease of integration of data). Navigating between full entries and summary views is straightforward, thanks to the toggle feature that allows you to switch back and forth seamlessly. I also find the use of different colors for the various fields and boxes very helpful, as it makes it much quicker to locate specific information. I use it every day! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PATTSY WAVE?

I would really like to have a status field that shows only active or pending items, without including registrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Patent Docketing, Easy Setup"
5/5
What do you like best about PATTSY WAVE?

I use PATTSY WAVE for patent docketing and it significantly helps me keep track of deadlines, which is an invaluable feature in managing my workload efficiently. I like that it keeps me organized and allows me to build spreadsheets, which enhances my ability to manage and present data systematically. The Power of Attorney feature stands out for me because it allows the auto docket feature to function seamlessly, ensuring that I do not miss any important action items. Additionally, I appreciate how easy the initial setup of PATTSY WAVE was, making the transition smooth. The trademark side's ability to auto-generate PTO information into PATTSY when commanded is a feature I find very practical. I use PATTSY WAVE alongside WORD to generate client letters and reminders of actions due, which integrates well into my workflow. Overall, my satisfaction with PATTSY WAVE is reflected in my likelihood to recommend it, which is a 10. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PATTSY WAVE?

I wish uploading the PTO data on the patent side worked as expected. The trademark side can auto-generate PTO information into PATTSY WAVE when commanded, but the patent side doesn't offer this functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Awesome at MOST things"

What do you like best about PATTSY WAVE?

Easy to see deadlines/Action column at a glance! Seeing the Action column clearly is imperative to be able to find very quickly what is due. I also like the updated version where we can sort Inventors without removing all and re-adding back in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PATTSY WAVE?

The Confirmation # for Patents is NOT on the first screen, which is super annoying to anyone who files documents at the USPTO. Some PTO Fillable Forms aren't updated with fee changes, and certain forms don't work at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Gina Schroeder of PATTSY WAVE

Hi Angie, thanks very much for your review and input. It’s great to hear that the IDS feature has been useful for your team and that PATTSY WAVE supports your team’s operational efficiency. Regarding moving the confirmation # to the first screens - this is a great idea which we are looking into! In terms of the fillable forms, we review all the forms in the library every year. Please reach out to me or our client support team to let us know which forms are causing an issue, so we can help and provide updates if necessary.

"simple interface more user friendly than other systems"
4/5
What do you like best about PATTSY WAVE?

The interface is easy to navigate and very easy to read. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PATTSY WAVE?

there is some screen formatting that is not conducive to working on a laptop. Specifically things like the attorney slots that disappear and become difficult to view on a smaller screen. i would like to see more consideration given to laptop users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Docketing software for IP matters"
5/5
What do you like best about PATTSY WAVE?

I really enjoy the user interface and the ease of interacting with my docket items. There's complete transparency and I am able to work with my docketing staff and paralegals to resolve matters. I also enjoy the customization and customer support in creating custom fields and different status codes for my clients. I use the system nearly every day and it was a detailed and thoughtful implementation when we transitioned from our previous docketing system. I have also heard it has been relatively easy to integrate our existing workflows to implement them in PATTSY. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PATTSY WAVE?

I think that because the features are so large and inclusive, it might not be as intuitive to learn. However, after awhile, I figured out how I can best use PATTSY WAVE to support my practice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Country Law Feature Stands Out, But Room for Improvement"
2.5/5
What do you like best about PATTSY WAVE?

The country law is the most important functionality in a docketing systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PATTSY WAVE?

The developers are NOT listening to the users, they keep making changes and NOT taking the users into consideration. The developers DO NOT use the system everyday. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Limited Customization and GUI Hinder an Otherwise Easy-to-Use Tool"
2/5
What do you like best about PATTSY WAVE?

The straightforward layout for case information makes it easy to navigate, and I appreciate the ability to generate quick reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PATTSY WAVE?

The GUI on the laptop is quite limited, with only a few available fields and no option to create custom fields for tracking data. This restricts flexibility and makes it difficult to tailor the interface to my specific needs. Lack of automation for docketing functions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Gina Gibbons of PATTSY WAVE

"I would like to have multiple agent contacts."
3.5/5
What do you like best about PATTSY WAVE?

The custom reports are highly versatile. I like the interactive docket feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PATTSY WAVE?

I do not think U.S. office action deadlines differentiate between Madrid filings and regular applications, although the deadlines are different. We should be able to have multiple agent contacts, similar to the way that client contacts are set up. It creates a problem when we work with multiple people at the same firm, like patent versus trademark contacts. It seems like an incredibly simple addition, but the lack of this feature causes serious problems for our records system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Time-Saving Docketing, But Needs Better TTAB Naming Conventions"
4/5
What do you like best about PATTSY WAVE?

Pattsy's docket and download feature saves me time and stress when reviewing correspondence from the USPTO. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PATTSY WAVE?

I wish that Pattsy's automatically docketed actions for the TTAB proceedings (such as Opposition or Cancellation Proceedings) matched the naming conventions used by the TTAB. I have to rename every action when docketing the schedule of events for an Opposition or Cancellation proceeding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
