Helix Core review by AJ J.
"scalable enterprise solution for version control: User friendly graphical tools like the Revision Graph and file history graphs. Securely manageable single repository as well as large repositories that delivers files quickly to distributed teams. Efficient and effect support. I think using the graphical interface to perforce (p4v) is a more effective way to work with perforce for most users. It makes it much easier to manage multiple workspaces, change lists, branch mappings, merging and most other functions. Time lapse tool is just fantastic I can not live without side-by-side diff tool at a mouse click Command line tools are powerful but needs little more experience, that comes with time. Applying the scripts is making daily work easy."

"Subversion keeps me sane.: Diffing changes against the repository and being able to run blame to see who changed what lines. We don't use it for rolling back revisions very much, but that possibility is very nice as well."

"Extremely private and secure repositories.: What I like very much about this great tool of AWS is that it allows users to host their software, application or project in a private repository, thus providing security to said data and information since only those users who are associated with it have access to them. project, also works in a very versatile way since it is very easy to configure so doing it will not take much time."

  12. IBM Rational ClearCase is a software configuration management solution that provides version control, workspace management, parallel development support, and build auditing.

Rational ClearCase review by Anna H.
"Good for Version Control: I used CC for version control of codes in my company. I found it very useful because many a times a project would be divided into multiple sub projects and would be given to us for implementation. We can load the latest version and make our changes and merge to the mother branch once done. This gives good visibility and tracking of each individual's work. I also liked the functions like we could compare two version side by side. This was useful in reviews."

  18. Plastic SCM is a version control system that will help you develop new features in parallel, go distributed, merge in time, and never break a build again

Plastic SCM review by Jani K.
"Great VCS for Game Development: After using Git and Git LFS for a few years for game development, we were looking for alternatives - the way Git handles binary files even with LFS is a bit cumbersome, to say the least. PlasticSCM on the other has been designed with binary-files in mind from the get-go, and the support for binaries is really good and it just works the same as with text files (diff is of course a bit different case, but out-of-the-box image diff support in Gluon helps a bit, and you can use any diff you like for files). After getting used to, I have also come to like the way PlasticSCM handles DVCS - you commit straight up to a repository, but that repository can be local. The local and remote repositories are then just synced up. Kind of like git, but still different - in git the local repo is handled inside the project tree, but in PlasticSCM you basically setup your own PlasticSCM repository server which is used for committing (although this process is painless and you won't even realize it in the install program). Great GUIs (there are two, a DVCS PlasticSCM gui and Gluon, the straight up commit to remote gui intended for artists), and commandline support help a bunch."

Simul Documents - Version Control for Microsoft Word review by Cirilma R.
"For collaborative work.: This app offers a site where I can store all the information of municipal engineering and is ideal because it allows online collaborative work, and in this unit we are constantly carrying out and executing projects in the municipality in which different professionals (engineers, architects, and collaborators) and in this app they can individually work on the same project, monitor the changes made by all the users involved and then merge all the information to have the final project ready in the shortest time and with the contribution of all involved without having to be in the same space. CVS review by User in Higher Education
"Simple and readily available Version Control for Unix: I use a Unix distribution with Virtual Box on windows and use CVS on that to back up my C code. So far, CVS and Git have been my primary choices. The reason why I prefer CVS is that it's less processor intensive and integrates easily into my Unix system. It also helps backup my code so that I can back to a previous built if an unexpected error occurs. Also, there is a large community of users and open source code too."

Fail fast and learn fast does not fit database paradigm and this is why a tool like DBmaestro needed to make the db changes in a controlled manner."
