"Great for non-Git version control"

What do you like best?

SourceGear Vault works well with our old legacy source control that used to be in Visual SourceSafe. Yeah, I know, that's how old some of our code is.

What do you dislike?

There's not much to dislike about Vault. It does what I need and more.

Recommendations to others considering the product

We use Vault for non-Git source control. They do have non-distributed source control also. They can handle just about anything.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have source control history on our code going all the way back to 1996. There's a vast amount of info that can be gleaned from that history.

"Vault client sourcegear "

What do you like best?

The Find feature in the code repository is very helpful in searching specific line of code.

What do you dislike?

Branching is not easy in vault. also delete option doesn’t remove all instances of the file from the system and therefore adding file with same name throws exception.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are using it for version control. It is our code repository. It helps us save all the code versions. Helpful in viewing which developers have checked out which projects.

What Version Control Systems solution do you use?

Thanks for letting us know!
