**What do you like best about UserGems?**

UserGems enables me to have conversations with the right contacts at the Companies I am prospecting.  I am able to have warm conversations as the contacts already are familiar with the my software solution.

**What do you dislike about UserGems?**

No downsides with UsersGems, although I use it so often that I can run out of available contacts at times.

**What problems is UserGems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UserGems helps make cold conversations warm, as I am talking with prospects who are already familiar with my solution.  Given this familiarity, they are more than likely going to give me great intel on whether my solution could be a good fit.

**What do you like best about UserGems?**

A report is sent to me automatically to my inbox, and details where the new leads came from, what past customer they worked for, and their contact information. I have never used a product similar to UserGems.  It links directly to SFDC, and both systems appear strongly integrated.  Team is very responsive to feedback and customer relationship

**What do you dislike about UserGems?**

I don't get the reports often enough - this might be because of my accounts, more than anything...not UserGems.  I wish I had more active prospects and/or more accounts.  I only get the reports when there are a handful of new people to send out.

**Recommendations to others considering UserGems:**

IDK how important this is as your integrate the software, but I might recommend that you make sure your SFDC data is clean; this will probably product the most significant results, but not sure how much of a requirement it is.  it would be awesome if this could sync directly with Linkedin data! that would probably produce a faster, even more accurate, report.

**What problems is UserGems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding future champions, breaking into new accounts, leveraging past users to find out about internal processes; and using them as a way to break into new accounts.

**What do you like best about UserGems?**

I love that I automatically get an email every week to tell me what new prospects have joined an account in my book that used to work for a company that is already a customer. This is immediately a warm lead and I can say with confidence, that this tool increases my chances at booking opps. Love it!

There are truly no downsides. Only helpful!

**What problems is UserGems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving the problem of taking the time to go through each prospect and manually look up if their past company is a current customer. Saves loads of time.

It gives excellent insight to help with prospecting and preparing for reaching out to prospects. It helps us do a timely check-in to see if the contacts might be keen to secure our product since they have moved to a new company.

**What do you dislike about UserGems?**

I wish that we would be notified via slack; not sure if there is an option for this, but I don't have it turned on. I haven't looked into it yet besides that, nothing to dislike.

Ideal for supporting your prospecting efforts as it allows you to discover new accounts and update your CRM simultaneously. Adds a personalized touch when reaching out to prospects who have changed companies or roles.

**What do you like best about UserGems?**

I love how it takes hours of client/prospect research and distills it into a single, easy-to-use salesforce report. It's gotten me several meetings and brought business into the company.

**What do you dislike about UserGems?**

Nothing much to dislike! I suppose a feature including "this client worked with this prospect at a different company" could be a cool addition. That way you could leverage the network and potentially have current clients help to refer the product to prospects.

**What problems is UserGems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before UserGems I wasn't properly leveraging my network of previous buyers who moved to new companies, or if I did, it was because I stumbled upon it by chance. UserGems has totally helped to streamline that process.

Usergems is very helpful in getting back in touch with people who have used your product before.  It automates great into Salesforce which is super helpful.  But most importantly, it lets you know who you have an in with at a company your prospecting.

**What do you dislike about UserGems?**

There isn't anything that I can think of that I dislike about usergems.  It has always been helpful.

It solves the issue of finding connections at companies that you may be prospecting.  It lets you know where you have a person that has used your product before.  Which in sales and prospecting is a huge deal and very helpful.

UserGems has made it easier for me to prospect clients, since the data pulls accounts from previous customers. It has saved me a lot of time when creating reference information in salesforce.

I haven't experienced anything I don't like yet, it's overall a very useful tool!

**What problems is UserGems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's pulling information for me, such as previous clients that used to work with my company. UserGems has helped me create a more personal approach with prospects since I can reference their previous employer. In contrast, before, it was unlikely to happen since it was more time-consuming to gather those types of details from prospects.

UserGems is an amazing tool that will help you build out your sales pipeline. Obviously it's always great to start off a conversation already having a relationship with the prospect.

**What do you dislike about UserGems?**

Data is key, so would always like to have more data. If there were a way to have Salesforce data interact with Usergems to upfront show the opp info from the previous customer that the prospect worked for, that would speed things up slightly. Not a major thing, just a nice to have.

As a service, it is literally hands off for us as customer. Every month, we simply provide them with a list of new contacts for them to CSI if any of them moved to a new company.

That allow us to clean our list and do a timely check in to see if the contacts might be keen to secure our product since they have moved to a new company.

**What do you dislike about UserGems?**

Would be great if there is a platform to do my list upload where I can easily see historical updates, as well as picking up subsequent updates via notifications. Currently any new contacts are provided across via email.

**Recommendations to others considering UserGems:**

If you have exhausted all avenues and hacks to grow sales, UserGems is the next thing to experiment with.

**What problems is UserGems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our product is sold to companies and usually they only buy once. By knowing that our decision makers have shifted to a new company, we can easily time our outreach, bypass the education process (since they already were) and do an easy ask.

This help us to accelerate our ROI via quick wins.

I like how they notify me whenever someone leaves a company and joins another one. A lot of our decision makers leave companies every couple of years and they tend to bring our software to their new company so it helps knowing as soon as they join a new company.

I wish that we would be notified via slack, there may be an option for this but I don't have it turned on. I haven't looked into yet.

Recruiters tend to leave their jobs at a higher rate than other professions so it's nice knowing when they leave and where they go to. It's nice having usergems do the grunt-work so I don't have to create a salesforce report for it.

I love the idea of UserGems -- if you do not have Sales Nav - this is useful because of the concept. I get more responses from people who are familiar with the product, so it is functional and increases your response rate.

I dislike how it is only monthly and most of the people, I have already reached out because I have done. my own searches on Sales Nav. If you do not know how to do this then I would recommend UserGems but I wish that it would give me even more leads

**What problems is UserGems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Benefit - targeted outreach. Problem - timeliness in getting these leads and wish that it would have a bigger net of people who perhaps endorses us with the accounts I have would be awesome.

Being on the Operations side, it was ease-of-use. We were effectively live a week after signing our contract and two very straightforward implementation sessions with much of it on cruise control.

As the product is consumption-based, meaning number of generated leads (unique job changes) getting contract sizing as well as the size of the initial chort of individuals tracked right was a bit hand wavy.

Two core uses for us: (1) New pipeline generation based on when previous Gem users move to new orgs;  (2) Risk mitigation for existing customer accounts when a champion or other evangelist leaves

I was impressed with the number of contacts that it generated and sorted for me in SFDC. The contacts were good level and I was able to follow up with them. I haven't seen or used a tool like this in my sales time yet.

The email seemed like spam to me - I almost ignored it until a teammate made mention of it. I would like to have the value/contacts at the beginning so that I don't miss this email next time.

I am trying to set meetings and generate a pipeline for my large accounts. I found this to be added fuel by surfacing contacts and titles of those who were at previous customer accounts. Set 1 meeting

The simplicity of creating a personalized email to someone who is most likely familiar with your product.

I would like to see a feature where the person's previous company is auto-filled. This would save me time from having to search on Linkedin and in our Salesforce for the previous company that was a customer.

Build an auto-fill feature that fills in the company they were a user at!

It gives us more pipeline and warmer prospects that are familiar with our product. It also makes it easy to personalize an email. Prospects appreciate the email is relevant to them and that we did some due diligence before reaching out.

For me who sends 50 to 100 emails a day can relax because Usergems will help to find top 5 or 10 accounts that I need to go after using different channels.

Nothing as such at the moment, fairly new using it

With 10 things that I do manually, using Usergems helps me with a report that I go after and I have seen success in getting meetings with the clients.

It surfaces automatically for you previous champions who have changed company, and it integrates very smoothly with Salesforce. The email reminders also work well.

Some of the contacts have changed company a while back (months) - it'd be great to be alerted when they just got started with their new role

Being able to replace the manual tracking of previous customers with automation is a great value. I just started using this tool so the long-term benefits are still to be determined but I have high hopes.

The Support from UserGems to utilize their tool is incredible. There is a new batch of leads of people moving jobs that are decision-makers every month. It is all automated with Salesforce and Outreach making it even easier for my team to hit goals and bring in closed-won opportunities.

**What do you like best about UserGems?**

My SDRs appreciate how easy it is to work with leads generated by the UserGems service. All leads are automatically populated in Salesforce view, under the right account owners, with the new work email addresses, LinkedIn profiles, and their previous information to ensure no history with the contact is lost. This drastically reduces the time SDRs need to spend on research of leads that used our solution but have moved on to new companies (there is no need to go to other tools such as Sales Navigator or hunt for old Salesforce record, etc. to put all of this information together for a prospecting email. More importantly, since UserGems leads are essentially our former customers, our response rates have been significantly higher compare to other outreach methods.

**What do you dislike about UserGems?**

While rare, sometimes our former customers change to companies that are outside of our target segments, so it would be great if there was a way to filter out (or prioritize) the ones most relevant to us.

**What problems is UserGems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company has a strong focus on building a strong relationship with our customers. So when someone transitions roles, our sales team needs to reach out to see if our product would be a good fit for their new organizations. But because we have a large customer base, tracking who changes jobs was very manual and frankly, not every rep remembers to do this regularly - meaning we probably missed a lot of opportunities, especially with folks who switch from hands-on to a decision making role. Now, we can simply go to our SFDC and all of the UserGems (job changer) leads are there, updated monthly.

**What do you like best about UserGems?**

Usergems is a great tool that allows you to find your buyer personas while they are new in their role, have a budget to spend, and are building out a tech stack. Furthermore, It differentiates between new prospects joining a target account, and prospects who were previously a client at a new account which allows me to tailor my outreach.

**What do you dislike about UserGems?**

The only downside I have experienced is when working a large volume of Usergems quickly, There are a few people who have been at the company for a while which does not provide much value as I could have found them on Linkedin. The true value comes from finding people who are new to a role.

**What problems is UserGems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving the problem of "how do we hit prospects in their first 90 days." During my first batch of user gem outreach, I was able to book 7 opportunities which greatly helped me hit my KPI. The best part was I had a premise for outreach already built-in because I knew that they were new to the role.

**What do you like best about UserGems?**

I love that UserGems allows me to maintain close relationships with previous champions, and open doors for new sales opportunities with other valuable accounts! And the Prospector tool allows me to easily garner quality leads to include in my outreach. A good UserGems champion leads almost always turns into a valuable sales opportunity - the conversion rate of my outreach is significantly higher.

**What do you dislike about UserGems?**

Outreach and Salesforce integration is quite slow sometimes, stuck on "loading" state when pulling new leads into SFDC, or sequencing prospects through Outreach. And the UserGems tool only picks up on past contact's job switch to a different company, and does not take into account the size of the champion's new company or their role. Consequently, some UserGems leads often become useless for my pipeline.

**What problems is UserGems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to think that when a champion leaves, we take a direct hit in terms of maintaining relationships with the current company. But UserGems allows turned loss into another opportunity!

Usergems is a great way to curate data on your former customers. Saved a lot of time from keeping track of hundreds of people in LI or running complicated boolean searches.

**What do you dislike about UserGems?**

Wish there was a way to better filter the results we got from the lists, which would have made the process even more efficient. Guessing this is coming, or we didn't leverage the native functionality ourselves, but that would have been very helpful.

Think about the factors that go into the usergems that would make the leads most effective. There is not a limit on quantity, so focus on the quality to get the highest impact.

This was a great way to find good leads, and the timing with outreach was usually fairly advantageous as an added bonus as the contacts were often newly arrived at their new company. 
Our outreach campaign generated a higher than average (for us) number of views and responses.

**What do you like best about UserGems?**

This tool has made it so much easier for me as a SaaS AE and former ADR to do my own prospecting, since I always have a warm lead. UserGems has SIGNIFICANTLY increased my pipeline and led to some major deals we've closed for our company. It sounds so simple but every month it gives me at least 2-4 SOLID leads on average to follow up with, and if I can get even one of them to close I've made a significant dent in my quota. 
I also sell a very technical product, so selling so someone who's already familiar with the product ---rather than me explaining from scratch -- has been so helpful.

**What do you dislike about UserGems?**

Not sure if this is a a UG thing or a sales ops thing that could be done, but it would be helpful to have a way to identify which former customer profiles were active users of our product, vs just worked at the company that used my product. I would say 80-85% of leads are worth reaching out to -- maybe 15% are leads from larger companies that didn't actually use our product actively. (But even 80-85% is a HUGE win for me)

I cannot even remember how we prospected without UserGems. A significant fraction of all our deals come from UGs!

Finding very relevant, non-cold avenues of prospecting
I've realized that UserGems are truly the gift that keep on giving. I've never had higher success outbounding. Our AEs and ADRs always fight over who gets the UserGems when they're released!

There's no easier sell than someone who has already used your product -- instant champion at their new company!

Sometimes the data isn't spot-on -- for example, the previous people who've trialed our solution but not purchased it end up in this list at their new company. Also, there's little context about usage from UserGems at their previous company but when they are good, they are the best. Sometimes the contacts don't have emails at their new company.

Clean up the data you input to separate trial users and customers.
