I find that sending only a link to the document can sometimes be a challenge for those who receive it and aren't familiar with the platform. Additionally, while embedding additional content into the document works great if the document is used online, it doesn't download those additional pages when saving the document in PDF format. I love that I can have videos embedded behind text to attract the readers attention and monitor statistics to see how much attention my documents are getting.
