**What do you like best about Trace Headcount?**

Headcount planning went from a spreadsheet based data wrangling activity into a company-wide headcount management tool. Having live headcount data has been incredibly beneficial to our planning and budgeting process. Trace has significantly improved the accuracy of our data and shortened time it takes us build a forecast. The self serve functions have empowered budget owners and reduced the downstream workloads of our HR and Finance teams. The ability to view the history of a particular role is very powerful feature for tracking tricky things like department changes and role changes. We have also been very happy with the flexibility of approval chains. The Trace team has also been very attentive to any our needs

**What do you dislike about Trace Headcount?**

The UI is great but the tool can be slow when scrolling through or loading data. Some of the data import/export abilities are lacking. Would like to see more capabilities around dashboarding/reporting

**What problems is Trace Headcount solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trace saved us from a spreadsheet nightmare. Budget owners, finance, HR, compensation, etc. all had their own trackers and rosters, which were incredibly difficult to reconcile. The single source of truth has made everyone's jobs easier
