**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

The Receptionist is great for gatekeeping at the front door, whether it's for clients, guests, vendors, or even UPS delivery drivers. I appreciate that it is convenient and connects guests to the necessary people either via email or text, making it much quicker to alert someone that a guest has arrived. It's also easy for users or guests who come to the lobby and quickly alerts people that they have guests, making the process fairly seamless in that regard. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

The app seems to log out quite a bit. Sometimes I walk by the iPad, either in the morning or the middle of the day, and notice that we've been logged out. It might be an iPad update or something unrelated to the reception app, but I do find myself having to relog in from time to time, which would not be ideal if a guest came and they couldn't access it.

The Receptionist saves us an entire salary and is convenient for connecting with the right people quickly via email or text. It's easy for visitors to use and alerts staff seamlessly.

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

We like that all visitors are documented online instead of paper like we used to have. The receptionist can notify an employee when they have a visitor. There is a QR code to scan in. The system is very user friendly and was easy to implement. We use the Receptionist on a daily basis. Customer support responds quickly when needed.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

We had a hard time at first getting the machine up and running but once we figured out our own issues, it was easy to integrate. It took a few of us to get it going, but it was unfamiliar to us.

The Receptionist documents all visitors online so it reduces our time spent logging visitors and creating sign in sheets. It is a plus to have everything documented immediately.

The app interface is straightforward and user-friendly for our students. Customizing the software to fit our needs was simple, allowing us to create an effective check-in solution. We implemented it in our lobby a few weeks ago, and it has functioned smoothly ever since. The onboarding process was uncomplicated, and working with the company has been a pleasant experience.

I really wish it offered integration with the Salesforce CRM system.

The Receptionist has provided an effective solution to our challenge of staffing the front desk for appointment check-ins. Since we rely on student employees to staff the front desk, there are often gaps in coverage due to their varying schedules or when they participate in events. This has made it difficult to ensure someone is always available for check-ins, especially if all the students need to step out of the office at the same time, even if only for a few minutes. Now, with the iPad stationed at the front desk, it can be used alongside our student employees for check-ins. If they need to leave briefly, the iPad remains available for students who need to check in, helping us maintain a smooth process.

Some additional customization would be nice on placement of logos, and consistent backgrounds. The button screen background has only light/dark options which may not match the home/welcome screen.

It replaced the paper logbook, allowing us to not only require visitors to review safety protocols, but also allows us to remotely see who has been in the building and who is still in the building at any time. Perfect for safety drills when contractors or visitors are in the building.

There isn’t much I dislike about it. The only thing I’d mention is that I wish it were a bit more customizable—especially in terms of the overall look and the way information and elements are displayed.

Setting up The Receptionist was very easy and intuitive.  I have never set up a product that was that easy and without one headache. 

I also have used the Customer Service and found them to be so helpful and informative.  

We use it for every visitor that enters our facility, and they have also found it easy to use.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

I haven't found one dislike about The Receptionist hardware or software.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need to have our visitors sign waivers as they enter our facility and this makes it so easy for them to sign.  I am able to email them the waivers for their records.  It also helps us keep track of who is entering and when they enter.  I also like that it notifies the person they are here to visit so it eliminates a step for me.

I like that The Receptionist is very user-friendly. Our customers had no issues filling out their information, and everything was sent to the correct contacts without any complications.

There is nothing to dislike. The system works smoothly and meets all our needs.

The Receptionist helps us manage customer check-ins during our conferences. It allows us to easily track when customers arrive to meet with our sales representatives, and the system automatically notifies the appropriate rep right away. We first used it in October, and it worked so well that we plan to continue using it for all our conferences in 2026.

I like how simple it is and straightforward. The onboarding process was easy, fast and simple and even those who are not technologically inclined can easily set it up and begin working with it right away. The Customer support was super helpful as well!

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

When guest's login, The Receptionist will text the company personnel they are visiting and let them know they have arrived.  Game changer, as our front desk associate does not have to continually reach out.  Also, the Receptionist takes care of collecting all of the data our aerospace manufacturing facility requires to be compliant.  No more messy binders and people signing in and being able to see who has already been at our organization.  Privacy perfected!

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

When you have a large number of guests show up at once, and they have to wait to sign in.  (That can be resolved by
signing them in ahead of time, but we want our vendors and customers to get used to the system and know that we take them checking in seriously, so for the first several times, we will have them sign in).

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remaining ITAR compliant by collecting the correct documentation for anyone visiting our facility. 
Contacting in-house personnel when their appointments arrive. 
Notifying me, as the Administrator, who is in our facility. 
The Receptionist lets our aerospace customers know that we take security seriously.  
We do not have to continually pull data sheets from the binder, pick up pens off the floor and neaten the check-in area.

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

The simplicity of the setup. The platform is user friendly and easy to understand. The number of options to get notified is appropriate for our company, as we don't have our phones on us at all times. Email and Teams notifications are a huge plus. The app is not in french (we are based in Quebec, Canada), but it allows us to customize any message we want, which is perfect.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

The only downside we noticed is the fact that we can't put a schedule in. For example, if i'm away from 1pm to 4pm on a given day, there's no way the visitor can know. You still get the notification, but you're not on site. A custom message saying ''i'm away, please refer to X'' would be a good add on.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company doesn't require a full time receptionist. The app can actually do this task pretty well. It helps to notify the right person, so there's much less wasted time or transfered demands to the wrong person. On a cost related analysis for our company, it is really efficient.

The user dashboard. The layout is simple for contact and user creations.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

Currently, the app is only available on iOS. It would be great if there was an android version that would allow us to scan patient pre check in QR codes. The other thing is the iOS app is designed to scan QR codes with with front facing camera. It would be great if the admin had the option to choose between the front or rear facing camera.

Our EHR systems lacked a robust and user-friendly check-in process, which prompted us to search for a more intuitive solution—and that’s when we discovered The Receptionist.

The visitor experience has been seamless, with no major outages or patient complaints since implementation. Our front office team especially appreciates the software’s simplicity. The interface is easy to navigate, and the visitor log clearly displays timestamps and other key details.

We also find the notes feature particularly helpful, as it allows us to add visit-specific information for each patient directly within the check-in tab.

The Receptionist was easy to set up and use.  The support team was super knowledgeable and helpful.

I would love to see nested menus (e.g. press a button on the main menu and get a second set of buttons)

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

The receptionist has made a huge difference for our practice in being able to manage patient flow when our office manager is not in  (ie. after 5 PM and on weekends, when many of our providers offer sessions). It is also such a helpful tool to simply let the providers know when their clients have arrived! We have a big building, so no more trapsing down the hall and awkwardly lingering, looking for our clients. It was crazy easy to set up, and I had it running the day I got it. We love it!

There's really nothing that we don't love about The Receptionist!

Setup is very intuitive.  Literally everything is customizable to meet the needs of the business.  Onboarding team has been fantastic!

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

I like the customization options as far as button appearance and titles. It is simple to setup and implement.

The customer support is helpful and receptive. However, blaming the device manufacturer for shortcomings is not very helpful.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

The devices do not always communicate and often become disconnected from the network and/or Bluetooth stops working occasionally. There are limitations as far as what options can be added. The pictures printed on the badges could be much better. I understand it is thermal printing but in 2025, there should be better options considering the price.

I also don't like how the price is determined by the number of contacts. And the lowest is 24 contacts. That is very, very low. An office that small would probably not need something like that.

This option replaces our written log for guests, visitors and employees that forget/lose their access badges.

Robust features. Ease of setup. Looks great and doesn't take up a lot of space. From sales to setup, support has been amazing!

We have had visitor management systems in the past but everything was behind a paywall. So this solves the problem of giving us a all Inclusive option and the ease of use also helps with the check in process which we require for SOC audits

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

I love how easy it is to use and how it solves our departments issues with finding coverage for the front window. The implementation was really easy and so was the set up. Customer support has been great! Rain answers all of my questions no matter how many times I call her. We use the system all day long and it's nice to have a virtual way to track people coming and going. For our staff it has been really easy to integrate into our department.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

There are some features that I would like to see be added, first the one minute timer is short for responding, I would like to see some customization in being able to expand that time. I also would like to see different time delays between message rules for users, we are a Probation office and sometimes things need to be longer than 10 minutes before it goes to the next person. It would be cool to be able to send responses to the client's through phone and team alerts, versus just getting a notice. I would like to see the ability to send forms directly to the client and have them be able to fill them out.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have front window that we have to have someone at constantly because we are a government agency, but we run into a lot of coverage issues. We have to cover meetings, trainings and breaks. With The Receptionist, all staff can be present and no one feels like they are missing out anymore because they have to cover the front.

I like how you can create custom buttons for check-in. Visitors, Job Interviews, Delivery, and International Visitors. Notification text messages are sent to the host.

It does not include built-in support for blocking visitors on government-prohibited lists, nor any functionality to integrate with such official watchlists directly from the Receptionist.

The visitor records will be more accurate than the old paper trail.

The only downfall we experience at this time is that we need a new account for each iPad. We would ideally like to have more than 1 iPad for each location.

We have two iPads and two printers. We have to go in and make sure each ipad is hooked up to the correct printer every morning through the Receptionist app.

We used to have visitors sign in on paper, and now we are able to check visitors in electronically and trach who's in the building. This also allows visitors to have a badge which shows staff and students that the visitor has gone through the office and is safe to be in the school.

The implementation team was amazing about answering my numerous questions, and were even able to modifiy our account to create the perfect compliant software for our company's needs.

I would like me information aka compliance guides on secure facilties such as ITAR registered. facilities. How to check documentation, what documentation would be flagges, ect.. I would also like there ID's (drivers license) be crossed reference with the united states watch list, and automatically flag visitors that are not permitted into the secure facility.

Visitor management compliant with ITAR regulations, and record keeping for the ITAR compliance. It also helps out with staff efficiency, by altering manager and directors when visitors arrive.

The setup was a bit challenging on your own. We did not take advantage of the training or setup help, but we did contact the support line via chat. They were very helpful.

We are a school and needed a secure, quick, and streamlined check-in system which would allow us to track who was in our building at the touch of a button. The Receptionist allows us to do just this with zero issues. We wish there was a way for it to be used as a "student" late check in system, without having to add users to the system.

Our office uses Google Suites to communicate intra office. The Receptionist has helped ensure clients are checked in in a timely manner. Our check in process is automated now which reduces the stress of forgetting to check a client in! It was easy setting the kiosk up, and even easier setting up the interface. Integrating The Receptionist was super easy. There was no issue. We use The Receptionist Kiosk in 2 of our 3 offices. We will at some point use it for all 3 offices! It's a staple in our office now. The customer support is excellent as well! Amy and Raven are awesome!!

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

I would love for The Receptionist to have an integrated way to scan ID cards and insurance Cards. I'd also love for The Receptionist to be able to allow clients to pay their copay prior to stepping back for their session.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Recpetionist has solved the issue of rush hour, which is every 30 minutes for our office. Every client signs in swifty and providers are notified almost immediately! Solves the issue of clients not having been manually checked in due to administrative error.

We started using The Receptionist a few months ago. They have amazing customer support and their product is easy to set up and use. We have used this program every workday for months. There was one issue we ran into and customer service fixed it right away when we messaged them with the problem. We looked at a few different companies and The Receptionist had all the features we needed. We were able to integrate the new system very easily and it now we are 100% paperless with our logbooks!

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

I wish that The Receptionist had contingency questions. If the question was, "Are you a USA citizen?" and they answered, "No" then a second question would appear asking them to type the name of the country they are a citizen of. This isn't a large issue and there is an easy work around.

We no longer have to use paper logs and manually enter everything into the computer. It has also cut down on paging.

The support staff and sales team were great.The application was very easy and simple enought to get things going. It takes a simple idea and adds simple technical steps to get it going. Implementation took less that 30 minutes per device and the support team even offered to just copy and paste the same settings to the other tools.

The price. There isnt much too it yet its fairly expensive for what it is.

I love that I can easily and consistently keep track of which clients are here and because of this, I can run payments confidently. It also saves me a lot of time, instead of having to contact therapists myself to let them know their client is here, The Receptionist does all the work for me. I can get other work done without a line forming at my desk. Setup was fairly easy and quick.

I would like to be able to transfer registration information directly to the other system we use which is Therapy Notes. Being able to connect The Receptionist with more websites would be great.

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

The user interface is easy to use and customizable. The implementation was seamless as we could easily import our contacts from our HR database. Whenever we had any questions the support chat team was right there and quick to respond to our questions with helpful links and step by step guidance. 

The text notification that can be sent to specific team members is another favorite feature. Having guest be a able to alert the person they are visiting is great since the staff who receive the most visitors are often away from their desks.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

So far the biggest issue we faced with use was setting up badges for the different "buttons". For example to apply a guest photo we had to go enable photo capture in another section for the option to be availble in the badge section. Items with order of operations like this are not highlighted so easy to miss when just starting.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Two main problems are solved with receptionist. 
Guest logging and emergency notifications.

We have multiple entrances where guests can enter the building (contractors to maintence , deliveries to Shipping and Rec dept, sales reps to the main desk, etc). Having one databank where all these entrances can report to is so much better than consolidating multiple paper logs.

As we are a manufacturing plant emergency situations do happen. Being able to alert not just shift leads but guests too about emergency situations requiring evacuation is helpful.

We use The Receptionist to check in clients as they arrive for scheduled appointments. It was SUPER easy to set up and customize! Our therapists LOVE having this system because they can do other things and not worry about checking the waiting room for their next client. It's very easy to customize alerts (text, email or both) so that each therapist can decide how they would like to be notified.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

We randomly get logged out of the iPad overnight, it doesn't happen every night and maybe it's only when things update. Because of this we have to share login information with the team just in case an admin isn't in the office when this happens. Not a huge deal and definiately NOT a deal breaker, we LOVE this product!

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clients can check themselves in when they arrive for a scheuduled appointment. This eliminates the need for someone to be at the reception window at all times. Messages are sent instantly so therapists know immediately when someone arrives.

The implementation process was so easy and seamless.  We are a small company, that needed a system that was quick to implement and maintain going forward.  Customer support was also great and quick to respond.  They were able to work through all our concerns.

During COVID we downsized and one of those positions was our office manager and front desk associate.  We have managed to work through these issues, but leaving a bell up front wasnt the professional way we wanted to go.  With installing the Receptionist we feel it representive the intuitiveness of our company and allows quick repsone to guests coming in.
