## The Receptionist Reviews
  ### 1. Excellent Product!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamie D. | Executive Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2021

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

The two-way communication between the visitors and their contacts. It has helped out tremendously. It has allowed our Office Administrator (who sits at the front desk) to have fewer interruptions.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

The only thing we've found that we don't like is that visitors can't use the pre-registration QR code for contactless check-in.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Receptionist has eliminated the need for paper check-in logs, which are antiquated. The benefits of using The Receptionist are numerous. Our Office Administrator has fewer interruptions; we look more professional and "in the know" about the latest technology; the two-way communication keeps our visitors from waiting and wondering when their contact will meet them.

  ### 2. Great all-around solution, but lacks some features and customization.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Aviation & Aerospace | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2022

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

The platform is very easy to use and covers most of our needs.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

There is no ability for visitors to pre-register with a link, and there's very little customization possible for most parts of the platform.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're an ITAR-registered manufacturer that requires a log of all visitors to our facilities. The Receptionist is replacing an app that we built internally and have used for years.

  ### 3. The Receptionist product review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2022

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

Very easy to use. Good user design and functionality for notifying team members of visitors. Cloud based, thus no need for on-premise servers. Integrates with Active Directory for user list.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

Need better online options to clone over one location to another for new kiosk. Receptionist support can and will help with this for you, but it would be nice to be able to better facilitate ourselves.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Better visitor management and team member notifications. Also used for COVID visitor screenings. Easier to manage and can automate user list by scheduled AD import process.

  ### 4. Intuitive Visitor Management System

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2022

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

It is simple system to use for both visitors and admin. You can access information and change settings easily. It makes our business seem much more professional.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

The only problem I had was when our internet went down I had to reconnect the badge printer.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps combines our old visitor log and visitor badges in one easy-to-use system.

  ### 5. Met our basic visitor management needs perfectly and at an affordable price.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh G. | I, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2022

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

The workflows are easy to setup, and the device reconciles the changes instantly.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

I wish the "Agreements" feature had more customizable fields than just the visitor's name.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our benefactor required us to have a VMS as part of our business agreement. TheReceptionist met these requirements with a lightweight and affordable system.

  ### 6. Easy to use and set up. Eliminated so much paperwork

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2022

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

The ease of use and the elimination of paper

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

The only dislike that is not awful is that the plastic spool for the replacement badge rolls for the printer is not able to be used for replacement rolls

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us to streamline all of our visitor check-ins, tardies and dismissal in one place

  ### 7. Excellent Customer Resources

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mining & Metals | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2022

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

Raven Lawless and the team at The Receptionist are incredibly helpful during the set-up process. Any question I had, she had encountered before and was able to walk me through the process.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

While I am still in the set-up/implementation stage of The Receptionist, I have not encountered any difficulties or dislikes.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Effective screening/check-in process, emergency evacuation active roster, and communicating safety requirements/expectations immediately.

  ### 8. The app has worked great for making sure visitors had name tags

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Warehousing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2022

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

The UI is very user-friendly. This allows visitors to quickly get through the check-in process.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

Thus far there is nothing that sticks out as a negative.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visitors needed to have visior badges.

  ### 9. Ease of Use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2022

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

Easy setup, buttons, questions, home screen

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

That it does not allow for conditional logic. Example. If creating a multiple choice question and on of the options is "other," client should be able to then type in whtat the other is via a placeholder

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nothing to correct as The Receptionist has limited capability as listed in the above answer

  ### 10. SUPER EASY TO ADMINISTER AND FOR CLIENT!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael R. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2021

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

I loved that it came pretty much set up right out of the box! I unloaded and had all the screens and contacts set up within 30 minutes we were using it! The day after it was delivered someone from the company called to check in with me.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

There isn't anything that I dislike about it. It fully meets the needs of our office.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We kept having receptionists leave, one after another. I finally decided to go with The Receptionist after I read numerous positive reviews about it. I looked at two other types of hardware/software, but there were too many negative reviews for them it led me back to this solution. Once it was set up, it was a learning process in the fact that I set up the buttons how I thought it should work, but due to client and staff input, we changed them a couple more times and are getting better information now!

  ### 11. The Software is so intuitive and offers many items to assist with checking persons in

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael D. | HCV Programs Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

Easy to use and understand, data integration with Microsoft Teams

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

Visitor log visibility, Still implementing in our Section 8 office

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 12. Every employee at The Receptionist has been TOP NOTCH

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamie G. | Health & Safety Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2022

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

The customer service has been wonderful.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

Setting up a group button, I would like the option for a group to list their names somewhere.

**Recommendations to others considering The Receptionist:**

Ask questions, there is always a solution.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Questions about the setup at this point. They give me links to read articles and step-by-step directions to solve any issues.

  ### 13. Great customer service & Easy to use program

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kate C. | Front Desk Receptionist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2021

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

I like how easy it is to reach out and get help when you need it. The agents take great care of helping to answer any questions. The program is perfect for our company.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

I have not seen any downsides to the program or anything not working properly.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The receptionist makes it easy to check many people in, especially the faster check-in option for returning visitors or vendors. It allows us to keep track of who comes into the building and know how to contact them and what company they are from. It saves us from being robotic with people asking the same questions to every person, which allows us to be more personable.

  ### 14. The Receptionist Rocks!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

Their customer service is second to none. They are quick, knowledgeable, and fun. Their development team is always creating new solutions and offering the system to be as involved or as simple as you need.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

There is no differential between using minimal options and using tons of options - you pay by the user. So even though we are only using the device to say 'hi I'm here' we're paying as much as companies that are integrating many different check in options.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our medium sized therapy office has an influx of clients, especially in the after school hours. But we would have 20 therapists waiting around the lobby looking for their clients, or checking back multiple times if they were late etc, and now they get a simple text. It also allows us to have a remote unstaffed location, and allow clients to know they've been acknowledged when they arrive.

  ### 15. Great product, easy to use.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2022

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

Very easy to set up and use. Users seem to like it.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

printer support could use some work, can be daunting.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking visitors and signed agreements for contractors.

  ### 16. User Friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2022

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

Knowing who is here to visit our employee

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

Not putting who the visitor is here to see on badge

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lack of Staff time

  ### 17. Excellent option for logging guests

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food Production | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2022

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

The Receptionist is easy to develop, maintain, and use.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

The screen is small. It tends to blend in the background.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows us to log and track visitors.

  ### 18. The Receptionist as automated assistant for desk attendant

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2019

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

While it doesn't fully replace a human receptionist, it is an automated tool that lets the visiting guest check-in, takes their picture, prints a visitor badge and automatically announces their arrival to the company contact they have come to meet.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

I would be hard put to say there are any negative aspects of using this program. It serves its purpose quite effectively but doesn't replace having a human behind the reception desk to greet visitors and direct them to use the tablet running The Receptionist app.

**Recommendations to others considering The Receptionist:**

Get the badge printer and create custom badges with your company logo!

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our human receptionist is also tasked with answering phones, transferring calls , ordering office supplies and performing other work in the course of her day. Being able to greet visitors and direct them to sign-in on the iPad hosting The Receptionist allows her to return quickly to her other tasks.

  ### 19. Solid WiFi a must. Excellent Customer Service.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jim L. | Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2021

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

Continuous customer support. Before I even had the trial, I was using the online chat feature non-stop, and they continued to help me with my questions and any problems I may have had.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

Not their fault at all, but we have a secure WiFi network so we have had to work with our network management team a lot to keep the print feature up and running.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They're mainly proprietary issues we're having, but it is my honest impression that if you think this software would benefit you, it will.

  ### 20. Helpful Product and Incredible Support to back it up

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2021

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

Receptionist is great software that our growing practice uses to ease patient check in and counselor notification on patient arrival. Further the support provided is too notch and nothing short of amazing. They helped us set up zapiwr and get granular with our receptionist integration to make sure it really works the way we need. Highly recommend for businesses.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

Some integrations for providing more nuanced or contextual notifications require additional fees like zapier. Can get pricey. The UI is also a little clunky - but it's easy enough to manage and administer your account. Wish you could change the setup on iPad.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our biggest problem is synchrozing check in for 20 or so patients each hour on the hour and notifying relevant staff of their visit. This also helped by creating a history logbook, important notifications to our admins about copays and other important check in update questions. It streamlined this formally manual process into a digital, quick and seamless one that our patients and providers are both enjoying.

  ### 21. The Receptionist is a great tool to manage visitors

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bob G. | Director of IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2021

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

We moved to a new building and are on the 2nd floor. We needed a tool to Welcome Visitors, collect their information, direct them to the elevator and notify the person being visited as well as the receptionist the guest has arrived. We looked at several systems and chose the receptionist because it is easy to use and set up and is very affordable. The screens are simple and attractive. The application is very flexible for customization

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

We have absolutely no dislikes. The support staff is friendly and helpful. It is simply a great tool for managing visitors.

**Recommendations to others considering The Receptionist:**

They have a trial program and that sold me because I was able to have hands-on with the product prior to purchase.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It enabled us to lock down our second floor without making it difficult for visitors to communicate their arrival. A part of the process we set up provides visitors with instructions to gain access without compromising security.

  ### 22. Wave of the future!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2021

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

The Receptionist is a simple, affordable solution that is extremely adaptible to different work environments!

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

I wish I had known about The Receptionist sooner!

**Recommendations to others considering The Receptionist:**

Do it and don't look back! You won't regret it!

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We do encounter a little bit of pushback from couriers like Fedex who are in a hurry and don't want to do any input..

  ### 23. The Receptionist has improved our day to day operations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2022

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

We were able to create an electronic Interview Evaluation Form saving our applicants time/

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

The system is fantastic. The only suggestion I have is possibly allowing us to upload a current form for signature.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were able to get rid of 4 paper documents that were previously being signed at the front desk.

  ### 24. 1st time user

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gene N. | Director and facilities manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

I like the intuit user interface. I was able to navigate and make changes with little or no help.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

I disliked installing the mount. It felt cumbersome and outdated.

**Recommendations to others considering The Receptionist:**

If you are looking for a simple solution to greet and manage your visitors, the Receptionist is an excellent option.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No current problems. I like knowing customers are always being taken care of when they enter our lobby.

  ### 25. Easy to use, great support team, great software!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian M. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2021

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

The software is very user-friendly. Every step of the setup through the online portal is explained well and makes it easy to configure the system to the needs of your business. If there is anything you need help with, the support team is readily available and quick to help you find a fix. Very satisfied with the software and even more so with the support!

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

The compatible printer models are limited but still offer a couple of options.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use The Receptionist for our hotel. We have vendors and contractors daily, and it can get challenging to keep track of who is on property and get a hold of them when we need to. The Receptionist has solved that problem and has also helped us verify invoices with specific times for proper billing to vendors.

  ### 26. IT Manager's quick take on The Receptionist

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2021

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

The ease of quickly setting this up. It works very well and don't have any major issues with a simple check in for the office

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

We need more customization. Need to be able to choose different people to alert per check-in options. at this time we can only select certain people for ALL the delivery options. For example, if I need to redirect a specific delivery company to a very specific employee, i am not able to do that.

**Recommendations to others considering The Receptionist:**

The Receptionist is an excellent product for a one-office setup. We have this setup in less than 6 hours, and it looks and feels pretty good and is easy to use. I highly recommended the receptionist to a small to medium-sized business that doesn't have a permanent or lack of a human receptionist.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our office is an enclosed space with no receptionist; hence the receptionist solves for us not to have a live receptionist.

  ### 27. MyReview

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin O. | Senior Supervisor, SC Operations, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2021

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

There are quite a few items that I was impressed by and would consider being "first-class" components. The first thing that I noticed was how well the unit was packaged; it felt secure and safe—no worries of the unit being damaged during transit. As I was setting it up, I recognized how supportive the "TheReceptionist" team was; they were available and ready to provide support throughout the entire process....really a great team. As I continued to set up the device, I realized how easy the interface was to use, super simple, and there are tons of customizations that you can control to make the device match your or your companies' needs.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

Honestly, I don't think there is anything that I truly dislike about the product. It does a great job doing exactly what it's designed to do.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Given our current state of affairs, this device helps by eliminating some of the person-to-person interaction, thus helping all parties keep their employees a bit safer. Things like package pick-ups/deliveries are simple and can be monitored/controlled while still allowing the carriers a safe opportunity to provide their services. It also provides instance concise communications of visitors. Reducing visitor wait time or possibly eliminating any confusion of the visitor's purpose.

  ### 28. Simple, cost effective, and efficient delivery and visitor management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2021

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

The Receptionist was one of three visitor management solutions that we tested. It was the simplest, the most cost-effective, and the only one that suited the needs of our business. We receive many deliveries and packages throughout the day and rarely have guests or visitors. The receptionist was by far the best solution with robust delivery management solutions as well as guest check-in. It is very customizable.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

I don't believe there are any downsides.

**Recommendations to others considering The Receptionist:**

If you are looking for a simple solution to visitor management for a small- to mid-sized company, look no further.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our office does not have a lobby large enough for a reception desk. With The Receptionist, our team is able to focus on their tasks, and a select group of individuals receives a notification when there is a delivery or walk-in customer. We do not have to worry about staffing a front desk when someone is out of the office.

  ### 29. Wonderful Visitor Management System!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bailey G. | Human Resources Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2021

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

This system is beyond user-friendly. And implementation was easy. We had it up and running in no time at all, and we had support every step of the way. This system helps take the burden off of our front office staff so that they can get back to their regular duties. We love that the system is customizable to our needs and allows us to modify as we grow. This system also stores all of the information we need for compliance for our business, and it is all legible, so when we need to go back and access the data, it is all searchable and readable.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

So far, we haven't found a dislike yet. We are on our first month yet and are working through it, and so far, no issues.

**Recommendations to others considering The Receptionist:**

Ask questions if you have any. They are very knowledgeable, and if they don't know, they will find out. Very easy to work with, and the product is excellent.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of our main issues was capturing information from visitors when visiting our facility. We had a standard visitor check-in sheet, and many people didn't like filling it out or didn't think they needed to fill it out. Then some wouldn't wear our visitor badges. We wouldn't know who was in the facility or for how long. This system takes all of the stress out of collecting the information. We have two kiosks (with contactless options as well) set up, and visitors have to enter their information and print off badges before access is granted to our facility. It makes our process very easy now.

  ### 30. Overall experience has been excellent!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sheryl A. | Marketing Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

•	Shipped to us very quickly
•	Online portal easy to navigate
•	Visitor check-in customized with contact, badge appearance, security visitor agreement
•	Support team ALWAYS available via chat, email or phone
•	Overall user experience has been excellent

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

Nothing we disliked at all. Experience could NOT have been better.

**Recommendations to others considering The Receptionist:**

Our goal was to find a virtual receptionist that would efficiently capture the visitor information and notify the host quickly. After contacting The Receptionist, it was apparent that our needs would be met but more importantly, we would always have the support when needed. Once we chose the system that would work best, it was shipped within 48 hours and we were contacted to begin setup. The online portal was easy to navigate to customize the visitor/employee sign-in experience. The check-in was customized with contacts, badge appearance, security visitor agreement and how each host would be contacted. The support team is always available via chat, email or phone. The overall user experience has been excellent. Would highly recommend.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

•	Visitor check-in
•	Security compliance agreements
•	Capturing all visitors in excel and provide analysis

  ### 31. The Receptionist is always in.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** cynthia a. | Director of IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

Provides a direct communication tool for visitors and deliveries. Easy to setup and use.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

We have nothing to dislike. It has been well worth the money, and the support is excellent.

**Recommendations to others considering The Receptionist:**

You will be very pleased with the Receptionist. Minimal cost for a great return.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No need for a person to be present to greet visitors and handle deliveries. We also utilize the receptionist Ipad for a covid questionnaire for each visitor, removing the need for one of our staff to manage the process.

  ### 32. Great experience so far..

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

The initial out-of-the-box setup was quick and easy. It helped that we were able to use the web portal to preconfigure the device, so the moment we connected to Wi-Fi it synched up and reflected our configuration/customization within seconds.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

Connecting the printer was a bit less intuitive than the device itself. It took us a few tries to get it to pair successfully with both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth as connectivity options, but eventually it worked fine.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The system makes shipment dropoff and pickup more efficient, and clarifies to visitors our check-in procedure is as we have an unstaffed reception area.

  ### 33. easy to deploy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Furniture | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

I was apprehensive about setting up a virtual check-in kiosk. The manager requesting it didn't have a defined set of features they wanted, nor was I familiar with such a system. I trialed a few competitors but didn't like the features or pricing. However, The Receptionist made it simple to set up a proof of concept with our branding and color scheme. The built-in settings were a great starting spot. We made a few adjustments and had it deployed by Friday. And the price for our small company fits perfectly within our budget.
The pre- and post-sales support provided timely and unobtrusive check-ins to ensure we understood the deployment and utilization. Very happy with them.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

I haven't found a downside yet. The customizations are plenty and allow us to change our check-in and check-out procedures should the need arise.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We digitized our check-in process. Can add touchless check-in if needed. Used our own hardware. Easily customized with our branding. We can add badges later. Instant notification to the host via text message and/or email.

  ### 34. User-Friendly

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

The Receptionist App is very user-friendly for people entering their information and for the person collecting the data. From a person working on the data collecting side, I was able to ask all the questions necessary, and it was easy to export all data being collected by the app. I was able to have individuals register, clock in, clock out, and sign necessary documents. Also, our account managers were super helpful and worked closely with us along the way! We definitely would love to work with this app for future processes.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

I was not fond of the fact that I was unable to collect certain information through the app. However, our account manager was able to navigate a way to get this information collected.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No problems!

Benefits: User Friendly and Data Collection

Visitor intake

  ### 36. Nursing Home Staff Relief

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brad J. | Admissions Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2021

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

We are a Nursing Home that is suffering from Covid Fatigue. During the Pandemic, our front desk receptionist turned into a security guard, temperature taker, phone receptionist and many other things. In our state, the rules regarding allowing visitors for our resident's change every week. There is so much reporting we have to do for each visitor it was creating a backup of paperwork and a line just getting people checked in caused a long line. The Receptionist has saved us so much time and energy that we would typically spend doing all of that. We now have time to engage more with the families and the residents to improve the morale.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

I wish that they integrated with our phone system. However, the support team stated this is in the works. I also want an external camera could be attached.

**Recommendations to others considering The Receptionist:**

If there is a feature you don't understand or a workflow you think would be better. I'd encourage you to reach out to the support staff or chat. They are helpful and responsive.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As mentioned above, it saves us time and energy.

  ### 37. TheReceptionist is our most reliable employee!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Aviation & Aerospace | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2021

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

TheReceptionist's simple, clean interface is so easy to use and maintain. And the added benefit of having a real-time accounting of who is physically onsite is invaluable.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

Formatting on some forms does not appear on the iPad device as it does in the configuration page.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have completely replaced our manual sign-in with a sophisticated yet simple visitor management system. Having multiple points of notification when visitors arrive has been an awesome bonus.

  ### 38. Where has this been all my life?

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

The Receptionist Customer Service team is superb! They contacted me several times throughout the set up process with helpful tips and suggestions.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

That I did not know about this product sooner!

**Recommendations to others considering The Receptionist:**

Get it now!

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am no longer having to constantly check my waiting room for when clients show up. The benefits are outstanding. I have so much more time to get things done in between clients now. My clients have also commented on how easy it is to check in.

  ### 39. Clinical Director

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2021

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

It decreases the need for staff to be available in the lobby at all times, as well as be in ear shot of our door. It is a fast and easy way to be notified of visitors.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

Sometimes people choose to knock on the door instead of using the sign-in system, but that is more so user error, I think.

**Recommendations to others considering The Receptionist:**

No specific recommendations.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need to have locked doors due to HIPPA requirements and client safety, but parents and other visitors need a way to notify the staff in the office that they have arrived. This system is a solution for that without having to staff the lobby with a person.

  ### 40. Best visitor Management software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dean P. | Network & Systems Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2021

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

It is so easy to customize the check-in process for Visitors. There are already some processes included, but you can create more and edit the default ones.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

It only prints in black (or red with a specific paper roll). I would like to see the option to print in color.

**Recommendations to others considering The Receptionist:**

This is a great system. You can buy an iPad directly from The Receptionist with a stand. They also sell the printer they recommend. Very easy to set up.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We do not have a receptionist due to COVID, so this makes it easy for visitors to check in, and it will alert the person they are there to see.

  ### 41. Easy, Affordable, & Great Features!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bryanna H. | Marketing & Training Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2021

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

I love that visitors can check in and have a moment to chat with their recruiter. The system additionally sends our staff a message via email, phone, and Slack to notify them of their visitors arrival.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

The only thing that I dislike about the receptionist is the inability to create agreements within the app where people can select Yes or No on various parts of the agreement. This would allow us to have many different agreements on file for our customers. I would additionally love if the receptionist had the ability to integrate to our CRM system Avionte.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used the receptionist to temporarily replace a full time receptionists. Using this system it has allowed us to have virtual agreements signed for filing, cut down time on alerting people of a clients arrival, and allows us to monitor office traffic daily.

  ### 42. The Receptionist fit all our needs, and made our Covid-19 Questionnaire seamless from entry to HR.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luke L. | Operations Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2021

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

The feature that I liked working with the most is the buttons. They are easy to use, or there are so many options for making them work for you.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

I dislike having to create a contact for each individual at each location. I have to make a unique contact for me (and other users) at all locations. It would be easier if each contact could be assigned to multiple locations.

**Recommendations to others considering The Receptionist:**

Make use of the "Clone" option is buttons. It saved me a lot of time once I figured out how to use this feature properly.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Receptionist has allowed us to make our Covid-19 screening questionnaire digital and enable HR to download the results whenever they want. Previously we were having paper copies filled out and then scanning them to our HR department.

  ### 43. Easy setup, two locations, does exactly what we need

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Electronics | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2021

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

Mostly we bought the product for Covid Attestation so we could get rid of the paper form at our entry and easily pull reports. It was quick to setup - my 10-year-old could have done it, and is super flexible. I like how it notifies team members of visitors via email or text, and the ability to "live chat" with the person that is being visited. We bought it for our headquarters, and then quickly bought 5 more iPads to cover our remote warehouse location for shipping, receiving, visitors, and employee entrances.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

For visitors, there is the idea of adding an "agreement" - for covid attestation, as an example. It would be great if there were an agreements feature for employees as well, however we're getting around that pretty easily with the Yes/No button. It works, and is easy to administer

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Covid Attestation, lack of an actual receptionist at our building, visitor arrival communication.

  ### 44. Good Product, Excellent Customer Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2021

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

The Receptionist is very easy to develop and deploy. It can replace log-book, or other paper badge issuing system by replacing with a sticker badge. The Visit Log is very helpful provides visibility and almost works like a timekeeping system for visiting consultants, etc. It is clear, streamlined and works great. Has some great features. So far no downtime or problems.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

A few minor things. I would be nice to add a Mask for the Phone number (aesthetics). It would be great if when answering a Yes/No question some logic could be employed so depending if the answer is Yes or No it sends user to another series of questions, etc. However, for a "canned" application that is designed for many different companies to adopt it is understandable this does not exisit. With complexity comes risk of crashes, etc. The editor can be a bit wonky added spaces, etc. Sometimes the font size wouldn't decrease. Again, all minor and not anything anyone hasn't had to deal with with other software.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting employees more involved with the process of registering their visitors and greeting their visitors. The receptionist should not have to track people down when a visitor shows up (sometimes unexpectedly). Another issue is knowing who is in the building in case of an evacuation. However, this is another reason people with visitors need to be more involved so when they know their guest has left they can Check them out and in the future encourage their guests to Check Out when they leave the building.

  ### 45. Up and running in minutes…

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2021

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

From the moment I downloaded the app, everything was incredibly easy to set up. I found The Receptionist app to be very intuitive. I had a test environment set up in about 15 minutes. We passed the iPad around the office for people to see and test drive...this allowed all employees in the building to know what the customers/visitors will experience.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

I attempted the MS Teams integration, but that required a separate subscription from a third party. It would be best, in my opinion, to have MS Teams fully intergrated.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We offered a voluntary early retirement program to a group of employees, which resulted in our full-time receptionist taking the offer. The Receptionist app made the transition quick and easy. For our office, The Receptionist app was a homerun saving 10's of thousands of dollar$.

  ### 46. Great and easy to use app, with helpful and friendly service!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bil B. | Quality Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2021

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

The Receptionist is an easy-to-use app for the iPad, and it has beneficial features.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

There is nothing that I can say bad about The Receptionist app for Ipad.

**Recommendations to others considering The Receptionist:**

I strongly recommend The Receptionist to anyone needing a soft-ware based check-in.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company was in the market for a software-based app to keep track of visitors and contractors. The Receptionist does this plus allows anyone entering our facility to sign NDA's and Safty agreements and maintained on a cloud.

  ### 47. Senior Administrative Probation Officer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Enforcement | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2021

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

That it is able to tell me the exact date and time someone checked in. I like the buttons features that I can edit at any moment.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

As of right now, nothing. I have not yet discovered anything that I actually dislike about the product.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to have sign in sheets that someone would have to go through to figure out when a person had checked in. This was very time consuming. Now all I have to do is type in the person's name to figure out when he or she last checked in.

  ### 48. The Receptionist - a very useful tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe G. | IT Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2021

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

The process to set up and configure the app was pretty simple. The Receptionist's support staff answered all of my questions promptly and often offered helpful advice beyond what was needed to answer the question.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

The only downside I've seen so far is that there is no option to be notified either by email or by text message. If you enter information for both email and phone you will get a notification in both places if a visitor sends a text message via in app texting.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Receptionist is helping keep track of visitors and vendors when they come onsite.

  ### 49. Fantastic product and support!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2021

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

Ease of use for visitors and vendors - very intuitive!

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

Hopefully, better badge layout options are coming in future versions.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking visits and having an immediate Evacuation Report in the event of an emergency

  ### 50. A Convenient, Contactless and Customizable Solution for Employee/Visitor Check-Ins and Screening

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kalah Q. | Medicaid Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2021

**What do you like best about The Receptionist?**

The contactless option is convenient and helps keep traffic moving during peak employee check-in times. We hope to utilize the app once it is out of beta so we can reduce the kiosk traffic altogether. The visitor check-in is a great feature too. Staff will get an email or phone call when someone is there to see them. This is convenient as we have never had a service like this before The Receptionist came along.

**What do you dislike about The Receptionist?**

The software freezes occasionally and we have to force restart the app to get it back up and running. Other than that, we are happy with the system and the many features it has to make things easier for us at the front desk.

**What problems is The Receptionist solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are now able to offer a paperless check-in for our employees. Prior to The Receptionist, we had clipboards at our front desk and staff would wait in long lines to be screened each day. Now, the lines move much quicker and we are saving significantly more paper.

Another benefit is the tracking we are able to do. Specifically, contacy tracing for COVID. This helps us stay in compliance with the Department of Health as well as keep an internal trail of the data.
