## Smartsheet Reviews
 ### 1. Easy-to-Use Yet Powerful Project Management with Dashboards, Automations, and Reports

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikodem C. | IT Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

What I like most about Smartsheet is how easy it is to use while still being very powerful. The spreadsheet-style layout makes it familiar and simple to understand, but it also includes helpful project management features.

The features I find most useful are dashboards, automations, reports, and shared sheets. Together, they let me track tasks, deadlines, and overall project progress in one place. Automations are especially helpful because they save time and reduce the need to send lots of manual reminders or updates.

Smartsheet also makes teamwork smoother. Everyone can see the most up-to-date status, add comments, attach files, and update their own tasks. This keeps the team organized, improves clarity, and cuts down on confusion. Overall, Smartsheet saves time, increases visibility, and makes project management much easier.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

What I dislike about Smartsheet is that the dashboards could be smarter and feel more like Power BI. It would be really helpful to have more customization options, along with more possibilities for automation.

I also find that some of the more advanced features take time to learn. That said, having access to the API helps offset some of these limitations, since it adds flexibility and lets you work around certain gaps.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps me handle the many small feature requests that come in from my team. People often ask me to add new functions or refine existing processes, and those requests can quickly add up.

With Smartsheet, I can automate most of these tasks instead of spending time doing them manually. That saves time, cuts down on repetitive work, and lets me focus on more important priorities. It also helps the team get solutions faster when they need them.

 ### 2. Easy to Organize, Fast Sheets, and Seamless Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick I. | Export Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Easy to organize and understand.

Smartsheet positions itself as a central hub for communication all 4 parties well, meaning its success relies heavily on how well it communicates with all of us. Overall, it boasts one of the most seamless integration ecosystems we've tested this year.

For everyday project sheets, tracking pipelines, and standard templates (up to a few thousand rows), Smartsheet is incredibly snappy. Real-time updates sync smoothly across distributed team members without data conflicts, making it a reliable "single source of truth

The AI isn't just a flashy gimmick; it is a genuine time-saver built with a "human-in-the-loop" approach, meaning it always gives you a clear explanation of its logic and asks for your approval before altering your sheets.

I am not involved on price but all i can say is the job that we do day by day besis.

Easy to understand so i have not request any support from the team but I am sure the support team would be helpful.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I am only the user who sue on daily basis, nothing comment so far on dislike.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have never encountered the hardship of using Smartsheet. No comment on this.

 ### 3. Smartsheet: Easy, Excel-Like Simplicity with Clean, Fast Data Entry

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamie . | Data Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet is very easy to use, especially since it closely mimics Excel but is much simpler. The drop down button reduces the time in typing and also allow uniform response leading to clean data entry. I haven't integrated any tools to smartsheet, but my coworkers have connected smartsheet to PowerBi for reporting. Performance wise, I have not noticed any downtime.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

One thing that has been bothering me is that it does not autosave. Not sure if it's just the version I am using, but I was surprised that autosaving is not an option.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company uses Smartsheet for request tracking. It allows the team to define which request is already completed while also define which individual is working on pending request.

 ### 4. Smartsheet Makes Complex Projects Clear, Actionable, and Team-Aligned

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert S. | Multisport Services PMO Department Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

What I like best about Smartsheet is how it combines the flexibility of a spreadsheet with powerful project management and reporting capabilities, making it easy to keep teams aligned and work visible. It’s intuitive, scalable, and great for turning complex projects into clear, actionable plans.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I don’t like that some advanced features and configuration options can feel less intuitive at first, and that large-scale solutions may require more setup and governance than I initially expected. That said, once everything is in place, the flexibility is usually worth the extra effort.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet is solving the challenge of managing projects, timelines, resources, and status updates in one place, reducing manual tracking and scattered information. This benefits me by improving visibility, simplifying reporting, and helping teams stay aligned and accountable with less administrative effort.

 ### 5. A Backbone Tool: Smartsheet Automations and Formulas Replace Excel

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul W. | Food Safety Manager (Operations), Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

For me Smartsheet is more than a collaboration tool. It is a tool that I can literally use in almost any department/facet of my company. It is a staple and a backbone of all of my processes. Before I look elsewhere, I try it in Smartsheet. The automations, the formulas, and more allow me to remove Excel from all of our projects and propel out work forward.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

It has limitations but Smartsheet keeps reiterating and changing and making it better. I do NOT like the Primary column. I never use it. I hide it everytime. I do not like that we cannot have tabs like excel. It would make it so much easier to connect sheets, and toggle between them.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet is automating a lot of my processes which saves me a lot of time. It allows me to focus on other tasks. The other big item is that by setting up fool proof solutions, it allows me train other users that might not be proficient in smartsheet. They click a few buttons, and on the back end, I get all of the data and movement I need.

 ### 6. Smartsheet’s Powerful, Scalable Workflows with Automation and Integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jasmin A. | Workflow Automation Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet provides a strong balance of usability, automation, and scalability. Its spreadsheet-style UI is user-friendly yet powerful enough for complex workflows. The platform stands out through its cloud-based system, strong integrations, centralized data management, automation capabilities, and growing AI-powered features. While pricing may be higher than simpler tools, the operational efficiency, visibility, and productivity gains deliver strong long-term ROI. Support resources, onboarding materials, and training programs also make adoption easier for teams and enterprises.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

While Smartsheet is highly powerful, some features still feel limited or lacking compared to other modern platforms, particularly in terms of flexibility and customization. Advanced setups can also have a learning curve, especially for formulas, automations, and cross-sheet workflows. Large sheets may occasionally experience performance slowdowns if not optimized properly, and certain enterprise-level capabilities can become costly for smaller teams.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps solve problems related to fragmented workflows, manual tracking, lack of visibility, and inefficient collaboration across teams. By centralizing data, automating processes, and connecting workflows in one cloud-based platform, it improves operational efficiency, reporting accuracy, accountability, and real-time visibility. This has helped streamline project management, reduce manual work, improve coordination between teams, and support faster decision-making.

 ### 7. Smartsheet: A Straightforward, Shareable Project Management Upgrade from Excel

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victoria C. | Business Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet is a better version of Excel for project management - it improves upon the experience by allowing for milestones, health scores and features that are needed for project managers. Very straightforward and simple to use - a good alternate or solution for project plans that can be easily shared and understood throughout the organization.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

It can be cumbersome to use and rigid by nature - some of the rigidity is helpful like locking down rows and restricting edits. However, this rigidity and grouping of items can be cumbersome and no method to do so in bulk. Also, importing of sheets and project plans can be hit or miss as sometimes they import well but often it is not matching the branding or style and takes more time to update it for our preferences than to do so manually.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet is solving project management planning and milestones and makes it clear to business users and members of the organization what the project status and outstanding deliverables, completed items and remaining work is transparently at an organization.

 ### 8. Easy Team Collaboration and Always-Current, Data-Driven Dashboards

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dana M. | Executive Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

It’s easy to collaborate with team members and keep track of project status. I also find it helpful to create visuals that pull from updated data, so they stay current and support truly living dashboards.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

It could be more intuitive and more formula-friendly overall. I’d also appreciate additional video-based learning options so I can discover features I may not be using yet. If the sheet could recognize inefficiencies or flag areas that could be improved, that would be a meaningful upgrade.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps our remote team feel connected and makes it easier to work toward a common goal. I like being able to track where team members are with their projects without having to interrupt them directly.

 ### 9. Efficient and Accessible Organization with Smartsheet

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diego Alejandro R. | Marketing Automation & Analytics Leader LATAM, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I use Smartsheet to organize data and maintain information control based on tree structures. It allows me to work in an organized manner and have all the information in the cloud. What I like the most is being able to work from any device in real time. I also enjoy the way it maintains different dynamic filters to organize the information. The initial setup was very simple and intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Sometimes the platform takes time to load and the page must be refreshed.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet to organize data and maintain control with tree structures. It allows me to work in an organized manner, have all the information in the cloud, and work from any device in real-time. Unlike MICROSOFT EXCEL, with Smartsheet I can use various parameters without knowing complex formulas.

 ### 10. A Very Useful Excel-Like Tool for Easy External Sharing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dexter M. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

It is a very useful tool which has most functions from Excel and can share with other parties outside of our own organizations we work with.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Not all Excel functions are covered.

When I aim to make a display with Smartsheet, it is limited by the in-built functions of the Dashboard. With the limitation, I then have to work around the in-built functions rather than displaying the summarized result in the way I wish to do. It does not help with user experience or our presentation.

Format of the cells such as date, does not support customization, which is a big down.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to share tabulated data in real time to others.
It is better than a shared net disk and also records actions taken to avoid wrong editing.

 ### 11. Easy Navigation and Visual Workflows That Simplify Client and Task Tracking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rona J. | Paraplanner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

It's easy to access and navigate. Helpful to track clients and tasks. Instead of manually emailing team members for status updates, we can build visual, logic-driven workflows.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

It's just Smartsheet lacks real-time autosave, forcing users to save manually. Closing a browser tab unexpectedly or editing the same cell as a teammate can easily result in lost progress or overwritten data.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It combines the familiar look of a spreadsheet with the power of a modern database. Beyond simple rows, you can attach files, track task dependencies, and seamlessly switch between Calendar views in a single click. Can also build dynamic, real-time dashboards that aggregate metrics, charts, and KPIs across dozens of underlying sheets automatically.

 ### 12. Intuitive Management of Events and Projects with Smartsheet

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arturo G. | Roca Madrid Gallery Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like how intuitive Smartsheet is. It allows me to keep all the information organized and concentrated in a single document. I also value the feature to manage user permissions by specific sections or areas of the document, which is very useful to prevent anyone from modifying or damaging the content without authorization.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Perhaps it could be more visually appealing, or include a simpler functionality that allows you to zoom in or zoom out more easily and comfortably.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet allows me to have all the information gathered and compacted in a single document, and also manage user permissions so they contribute only in specific areas. This prevents other people from modifying or damaging the document, something that can sometimes happen with other tools like Excel.

 ### 13. Comprehensive Tool with Room for Workflow Improvements

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephen G. | Director of Media Relations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like that Smartsheet helps ensure deliverables don't fall through the cracks by linking multiple objects to a single task. It's pretty quick and easy to edit, update, and configure the system to meet my needs. Smartsheet serves as a unifying tool for managing many projects simultaneously. I find it valuable for linking with Box and using features like dynamic formatting based on status. It allows me to track many details and quickly delve into open documents to solve problems on the spot. Our team can manage everything through Smartsheet, making it an all-encompassing tool. The switch from Excel improved our collaboration tremendously, thanks to the online, remote collaboration ability. The setup was straightforward, and Smartsheet is as easy to use as Excel.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I feel like the workflow features in Smartsheet could be improved. It would be great if, when a task is done, we could get notifications for specific people, and as each person completes a task, the next person is automatically notified. It would also help if the task could be moved or copied to a different file or area, keeping everything organized and at the same stage.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet for tracking deliverables and ensuring they don't fall through the cracks. It allows linking multiple objects to tasks, easily editing, updating, and configuring. It's a unifying tool for many simultaneous projects, enhancing collaboration by letting us edit and update in one place.

 ### 14. Excel-Like Interface, Great Templates and Forms for Fast Setup

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sofia P. | Project Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet has a familiar interface, somewhat similar to Excel, so it's easy to set up quick sheets, plans, logs. It also provides plenty of templates to get started with the more complex formats, such as Project Plans, which creates the required columns and dependency links. I also really like the Forms feature, where you can create a form to collect data, and send the link out to anyone, irrespective of whether they have a Smartsheet license or not.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

It is frustrating that it takes quite a long time to load in the browser to sign back in. Also, the fact that everyone needs a license to be able to contribute to the content of a sheet.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet is an interactive tool, where you can assign rows/tasks to colleagues. It replaces Excel, with its smart templates and task assignment, which makes collaboration between colleagues easier and more productive.

 ### 15. Smartsheet Keeps Projects Organized and Teams Aligned

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eduardo D. | Consultor Jr, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

What I like most about Smartsheet is how simple it makes it to keep projects organized and everyone on the same page. I really like being able to track tasks, updates, and deadlines all in one place instead of digging through emails or multiple spreadsheets. It’s also super helpful for team collaboration and makes project management feel a lot less overwhelming.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

At first, Smartsheet can be pretty confusing to use because the platform isn’t always very intuitive for new users. Someone from my team actually had to walk me through how to use it in the beginning, but once you learn the basics it becomes much easier to manage projects and keep everything organized.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet is helping my company improve time management for billable projects by allowing us to track how much time is being spent on different tasks and activities. This helps ensure that the time invested is efficient and aligned with the scope and conditions that were originally sold to the client, while also making project tracking and team coordination much easier.

 ### 16. Smartsheet Makes Project Management Simple and Collaborative

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muhammad O. | Salesforce Business Analyst, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

What I like most about Smartsheet is how it simplifies project and task management. The interface feels familiar, like a spreadsheet, so it’s easy to organize work, track progress, and collaborate with team members without a steep learning curve. I also appreciate that it keeps everything in one place, which improves visibility and saves time in day-to-day work.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

One thing I don’t like about Smartsheet is that some of the more advanced features can take a while to learn, especially when you’re setting up automations or more complex workflows. Also, managing multiple sheets and handling permissions can sometimes feel a bit confusing, particularly for new users who are still getting familiar with the platform.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps me keep projects, tasks, and team updates organized in one place, rather than juggling everything across different spreadsheets and tools. It improves collaboration, makes it easier to track deadlines, and reduces the need for manual follow-ups. Overall, it saves time and keeps my work more structured and organized.

 ### 17. Smartsheet Review 6.18.26 - project developer

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Will S. | Project Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Customizability of different sheets and summary sheets, connectivity of different cells and rows, and tracking dates for projects in a pipeline are the main advantages to our team. Being able to upload documents and images to sheets for easy access is very helpful. Organizing sheets by overarching category is also very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The more complex your smartsheets, the more difficult it is to keep track of all the moving parts. A cell may be linked through 5+ different sheets and tracking down the origin of the cell to modify it is sometimes annoying. Manual data entry can also be very tedious (are the data processing AI integrations that can be included?)

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data centralization, managing various dates and having project stages be reflected in pipeline overviews, compiling due diligence for data recording purposes.

 ### 18. Smartsheet Makes the Jump from Spreadsheets to Workflow Automation Easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Doug T. | Project Manager & IT, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

What I like best about Smartsheet is that it gives users a realistic path from spreadsheets into actual workflow management without forcing a complete change in how people work. The interface feels familiar enough that office staff and field users can learn it quickly, but it still has powerful, feature rich automation and reporting capabilities.

Smartsheet automations have provided the biggest workflow improvement for us. Being able to trigger notifications, status updates, approvals, and reminders automatically cuts down heavily on manual follow-up and missed communication. Smartsheet reports enable us to see a specific view of a sheet without having to manager multiple sheets.

The integrations are also a major benefit. Connecting workflows with Gmail, Google Drive, and other business systems helps keep information centralized.

Unexpectedly, one of the biggest advantages has been improving accountability and visibility between office staff and the field. Everyone can see current statuses, updates, attachments, and notes in one place, which reduces confusion and duplicate communication significantly.

Smartsheet has been an effective and affordable solution for us as our company has grown.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Although the table view is a significant improvement, I’d like to see a wider selection of formatting options within the table view in the future, along with a more functional calendar/Gantt format without having to obtain additional add-ons.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet has greatly reduced our duplication of effort and improved communication, allowing us to keep more data in one place. It has also helped us create forms, sheets, and tracking systems for our fleet, warehouse, tools, and hardware. Overall, it’s become a playground where we can build and refine solutions that fit our needs.

 ### 19. Smartsheet: Simple, Intuitive, and Shareable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cécile R. | Legal Counsel, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I find that Smartsheet is very easy to use because I don't get lost when I use it. I also like the fact that it's online on the Internet, which is super simple, you open the application and you're on it. It's quite intuitive, even though I'm not a Smartsheet specialist, you can do so many things, extract so much information. For me, it's already very satisfying. I particularly appreciate the ease of use and all the features offered.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

No negative experience with the tool!

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet facilitates access to online resources, allowing information to be easily shared with specific permissions. It centralizes data, avoiding unnecessary emails and saving valuable time for me and my colleagues.

 ### 20. Excellent Workflow & Project Management Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michiel V. | Practitioner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

What I like best about Smartsheet is the ability to automate and centralise our workflows in one platform. It allows us to generate reference numbers, track projects and help desk requests, and automatically communicate updates to the relevant departments without manual follow-ups.

I also really value the accessibility of the platform. Being cloud-based means I can access important project information from anywhere, whether I’m in the office, on-site, or working remotely.

Another standout feature is the visibility it gives across multiple developments and teams. It keeps everyone aligned, improves accountability, and makes reporting and tracking progress far more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

One area where Smartsheet could improve is the learning curve when setting up more advanced automations and workflows. While the platform is extremely powerful, some of the more complex features can take time to fully understand and configure correctly.

There are also times where customisation feels slightly limited compared to fully bespoke systems, particularly when trying to tailor highly specific reporting layouts or workflows.

That being said, the overall benefits and efficiency gains far outweigh these minor frustrations, and the platform continues to work extremely well for our operational needs.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A app would be great - if not already, and I might not know about it.

 ### 21. Driving Project Delivery Through Collaboration and Ownership

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Navya M. | PROJECT MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

What I like best about Smartsheet is the visibility it provides across projects. Since I manage multiple projects simultaneously, having project plans, dashboards, automations, and reporting in one place helps me stay organized and quickly identify risks, dependencies, and upcoming milestones. I also enjoyed being involved in the migration and testing process, which helped me better understand how to leverage its capabilities to improve project tracking and reporting.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The learning curve can be challenging for new users, and some advanced configurations and automations require additional setup and troubleshooting to work effectively.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet provides a centralized platform for project planning, tracking, reporting, and collaboration. It improves visibility across projects, streamlines status reporting, and helps me manage timelines, risks, and action items more efficiently, resulting in better project oversight and stakeholder communication.

 ### 22. Easy Job Tracking Across Tasks

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leslie S. | Production Artist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

The ease of tracking my jobs and work across tasks

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I don't know if it how we have it set up, but there can be a lot of options to have to click though to find the right selection. when i search it takes me to a main folder of selection but then there are over a dozen sub folders. I fell thats more of a company thing but it can be tricky to find just want im looking for

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me specifically, it tracks my time on jobs, where putting my work hours day to day. It lets the company know what im working on and what hours to bill

 ### 23. Smartsheet Boosts Efficiency with Intuitive Workflows, Dashboards, and Microsoft 365 Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet strikes a strong balance between the familiarity of a spreadsheet and the capabilities of a project management platform. The interface feels intuitive, so it’s easy to build project plans, track work orders, manage assets, and collaborate across teams without needing extensive training. Features such as automated workflows, alerts, dashboards, and reporting save a meaningful amount of time by cutting down on manual follow-ups and routine status updates.

I also value the integrations with Microsoft 365 tools, which make sharing information simpler and help keep teams aligned. Performance has been consistently reliable for us, even when working with large sheets and multiple collaborators at the same time. The dashboard and reporting tools give managers clear visibility into project progress and resource utilization, which supports better, faster decision-making.

From a business standpoint, Smartsheet delivers strong ROI by centralizing information and automating repetitive processes. Customer support and onboarding resources have been useful whenever questions come up, and the platform continues to add AI-powered features that help summarize information and speed up administrative tasks. Overall, Smartsheet has improved efficiency, accountability, and collaboration across our organization.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

While Smartsheet is a powerful platform, there are still a few areas where it could be improved. The user interface can feel overwhelming for new users, particularly when setting up advanced workflows, formulas, and permissions, and there’s a noticeable learning curve before teams can fully take advantage of the more sophisticated features.

Pricing can also become costly as organizations scale and need additional licenses, premium features, or more advanced capabilities. Some integrations require extra setup and ongoing maintenance, and occasional synchronization delays can disrupt workflows that rely on real-time data.

Overall performance is solid, but very large sheets with extensive formulas, automations, or attachments can sometimes be slower to load and harder to navigate. In addition, while the reporting and dashboard tools are helpful, they could offer greater customization and flexibility without forcing users into workaround solutions.

The newer AI capabilities show promise, but they still feel limited compared to some competing platforms. Expanding AI-powered insights, reporting support, and workflow recommendations would add meaningful value. Finally, although the support resources are comprehensive, more guided onboarding for advanced features would help organizations adopt the platform faster and maximize ROI.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before implementing Smartsheet, our team depended on long email threads, spreadsheets, and manual status updates to track projects, work requests, and day-to-day tasks. That approach often led to duplicated effort, limited visibility into progress, and slow or inconsistent communication between stakeholders.

Smartsheet addressed these issues by giving us a centralized platform where projects, tasks, timelines, and documentation can all be managed in one place. Its automated workflows and notifications help ensure work is assigned, monitored, and completed on time without constant manual follow-up. The dashboards and reporting tools also provide managers with real-time insight into project status, making it easier to spot risks early and allocate resources more effectively.

Integration with Microsoft 365 has further strengthened collaboration by allowing information to move more smoothly between teams and systems. As a result, we spend less time maintaining spreadsheets and sitting in status meetings, and more time focused on actual project execution. Overall, the platform has improved accountability, streamlined communication, and reduced administrative overhead, which has contributed to faster project completion and better operational efficiency.

In addition, Smartsheet’s reporting, automation, and emerging AI capabilities help us make more informed decisions and quickly identify trends or bottlenecks. It has increased productivity, improved transparency, and delivered measurable value by helping teams work more efficiently while staying aligned on priorities.

 ### 24. Versatile Tool with Easy Setup, Minor Customization Limits

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gesabel G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I use Smartsheet for a lot of things like project trackers, timelines, inventory management, asset management, content trackers, and even run of shows. It's easy to use in many cases and allows us to share sheets easily with people both within and outside of our organization. Smartsheet makes it easy to gather information in forms and automate it as well. I really like the ability to create dashboards to curate information visually. It's valuable for managing multiple projects simultaneously, grouping related sheets, and for presentations when we need to showcase data and information. The initial setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

It has some limitations for customization. Customization of the sheets toolbar is limited, you can only make certain changes to the whole row versus individual cells and vice versa. I think it lacks a little in the timeline aspect as well, in order to automize it.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet for project trackers, timelines, and inventory management. It solves management and tracking issues and simplifies sharing sheets. It helps gather information, create dashboards, and automate tasks, which is valuable for managing multiple projects and presentations.

 ### 25. Highly Customizable with Some Limitations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kayla S. | Deputy Clerk of Council

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I use Smartsheet nearly daily as an independent consultant to help teams make their systems more efficient. I love that Smartsheet is super customizable; we can make it do almost anything we need. I really like that almost any process in a team can be managed with it. The customization is what I like most about Smartsheet.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I find the size limitations with Smartsheet to be a major issue for both me and my clients. We constantly hit max thresholds in sheets, reports, and cross-sheet references. It can also be painfully slow sometimes, especially considering the amount of data it has to handle. Additionally, the support staff could really use some improvement. They spend too much time focusing on selling the product and handling account management rather than on actual product enhancements and support. The initial setup is also pretty difficult, I'd rate it 8 out of 10 in terms of difficulty, as it's not very user-friendly right from the start.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet nearly daily to help teams run more efficiently with its customizable features. However, size limitations and slow performance can be frustrating, and their support is more focused on sales than solving product issues.

 ### 26. Efficient, User-Friendly Project Management with Powerful Dashboards and Automation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rafael P. | Program Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

What I like best about Smartsheet is its intuitive UI/UX and the simplicity of its dashboard, which makes project tracking, reporting, and workflow management highly accessible even for users without advanced technical expertise. The platform offers clear visualizations, customizable dashboards, and easy-to-navigate tools that allow teams to quickly monitor KPIs, deadlines, and operational progress.
Its integrations with widely used platforms such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Slack, and other enterprise tools significantly improve collaboration and centralize workflows. In terms of performance, Smartsheet is reliable and efficient for managing both simple and complex projects, especially when coordinating multiple teams or large-scale operational initiatives.
From a pricing and ROI perspective, Smartsheet delivers strong value by improving productivity, automating repetitive tasks, and enhancing organizational visibility, which can save substantial time and operational costs. Support and onboarding are also notable strengths, with accessible learning resources, templates, and customer service that help organizations implement the platform effectively.
Finally, Smartsheet’s growing AI and automation capabilities add further value by streamlining processes, generating insights, and reducing manual administrative work. Overall, its balance of ease of use, functionality, and scalability makes it a highly effective work management solution.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

While Smartsheet is a powerful platform, there are some areas that could be improved. From a UI/UX perspective, although the dashboard is intuitive, certain advanced features and administrative settings can feel less user-friendly and may require a learning curve for new users. Some workflows or automation configurations can also become complex without prior experience.
Regarding integrations, while Smartsheet connects well with many major platforms, some integrations may require additional setup, third-party connectors, or premium plans to unlock full functionality, which can limit accessibility for smaller teams.
In terms of performance, large sheets or highly complex workspaces can occasionally experience slower load times, especially when managing extensive datasets or multiple automated processes simultaneously.
Pricing can also be a concern, as Smartsheet may feel expensive for smaller organizations or nonprofits with limited budgets, particularly when advanced features, premium integrations, or enterprise-level capabilities are required.
Support and onboarding resources are generally strong, but some users may find that fully leveraging the platform’s more advanced functions requires additional training or time investment.
Finally, while Smartsheet’s AI and automation tools are improving, they may not yet feel as advanced or comprehensive as some competing platforms that offer deeper predictive analytics or more sophisticated AI-driven insights. Overall, while Smartsheet is highly effective, improvements in affordability, advanced usability, and AI sophistication could further enhance the experience.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet solves major challenges related to project organization, workflow management, and team collaboration by centralizing tasks, reporting, and operational tracking into one platform. Its intuitive dashboard and user-friendly interface make it easier to monitor progress, manage deadlines, and maintain visibility across multiple projects, reducing the fragmentation and inefficiencies that often come with using multiple disconnected tools.
This has significantly improved productivity, accountability, and decision-making by streamlining communication, automating repetitive processes, and providing real-time insights. The platform’s integrations and scalable functionality also support long-term operational growth, delivering strong ROI through time savings, better resource management, and more efficient execution of complex initiatives.

 ### 27. Smartsheet: flexible sharing, easy to use, and very fast support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Massimo A. | Sr. Automation Engineer (EMEA), Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

The most useful aspect for me is the ability to share parts of the projects with specific collaborators, who can contribute even without necessarily having a Smartsheet account.

Moreover, the ease of use from the start, the different views, and the dynamic summaries offer a toolkit that genuinely helps and saves time. Not to mention the performance and the fact that it is used from a browser: it is cross-platform and therefore viewable anywhere.

Also, the uploading of content from Excel was immediate, allowing me to effortlessly integrate pre-existing parts of the project. The price is certainly competitive when compared to other solutions on the market.

The AI allows you some simplifications, such as graphically displaying project details, but in my opinion, it still needs to grow.

Finally, the support is extremely fast and competent. I especially appreciate the new features that continue to enrich the offering: sometimes it's almost difficult to stay updated.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

One aspect I would like to see further developed is the management of project tasks. For example, the ability to link specific tasks in an end-to-end manner and not just end-to-start.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me a lot to manage similar projects in parallel, using automation workflows as real agents for managing changes and deadlines.

Moreover, the creation of dashboards for presentations updates dynamically: once the dashboard is set up, you no longer have to worry if you're asked for a presentation at the last minute. Everything is already ready; just keep the tasks updated.

 ### 28. Smartsheet Dashboards: Clear, Well-Organized, and Improved Fast from Feedback

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michal T. | Executive Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Project dashboards and task sheets provide a great workspace with well-structured tables and clear organization. I’m also happy to see that Smartsheet continuously updates both the platform and the dashboards.

One thing I especially appreciated was how responsive they were to feedback — after I reported that some numbers in dashboard charts were overlapping and hard to read, the issue was fixed within about a month. That really impressed me. Now my project dashboards are much clearer, readable, and easier to work with.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Sometimes backup processing can take longer than expected. Also, some of my colleagues occasionally had issues logging in, although I personally have never experienced this problem myself — just mentioning it for transparency.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps us manage, track, and document projects and workflows in one place. It gives me a clear overview of ongoing projects, task lists, current progress, and planned changes. This makes it much easier to stay organized, prioritize work, and keep track of what needs to be done and what is coming next in our projects.

 ### 29. Helpful Automation for Task Tracking, Though Adding Columns Feels Clunky

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anna Mharie B. | Senior Sales Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I find Smartsheet very useful, especially because of its automation features, which I’m still getting familiar with. It’s been really helpful for tracking work and tasks without needing constant email follow-ups with everyone involved. I also like that you can attach documents to each item, which makes it even more efficient and helps keep everything in one place.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Since I’m still new, I find it a bit difficult that I can’t add more than one column at a time. I’m still getting familiar with Smartsheet.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I previously used Access to create a master list for follow-ups, I still had to generate reports and then email the relevant people about tasks that were coming due. With Smartsheet, I can use automation instead: I set a trigger, and it automatically sends a reminder to the task owner.

 ### 30. User-Friendly Collaboration, but Dashboards Need Easier Navigation and More Customization

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet is very user friendly and easy to share with collaborators to review or edit themselves. I like have different views of what to share with high level collaborators as well.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I wish the Dashboard setups were a bit easier to navigate and more customizable - i.e. sharing certain lines of timelines and having more control in the manner they are pulled in.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When you are constantly updating timelines, software that is ready to be edited and ready to go is a huge factor. I've found that smartsheets makes updates easier than other platforms saving time and frustrations at a moment when there is a lot happening. I am not aware of costs compared to other platforms, but from my experience there is a lor more capabilities compared to other platforms and their pricing. I have not used the support feature so I cannot comment on that aspect but over the ROI seems better than most.

 ### 31. Intuitive Smartsheet Boosts Team Efficiency

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Meryem K. | Project Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I think it's very user-friendly and the user interface is charming. It's easy to use, and it's nice to present to a project team. It's still easy for other people to see and understand, and they don't need to figure out many things. It's easy. The initial setup was very easy. I also like how Smartsheet ensures that the dates, tasks, and everything are managed profoundly with its planning capabilities, dependency management, and notifications which make follow-ups effortless.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I see AI getting improved. It would be very good if we can use it more, like if it would be easier to use and solve more problems. But other than that, I don't think it has, a big problem. Maybe dashboards can be improved.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet makes planning easy by managing dependencies, tasks, and dates efficiently, sending notifications and follow-ups automatically, and generating reports on time very effectively.

 ### 32. A Convenient App for all things Data

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamie A. | Account Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Quick access to all your data and you are able to search for specifics with filters and the search bar function. Also adding attachments for specific lines of data comes in super handy.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The load times when you are searching for a specific piece of data can take some time and in some cases when inserting data into a line if another user saves it can mess up the data that has just been input (this is rare but can happen on occassions)

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps organize our data and makes it easy to access and search exactly what you are looking for. This benefits me as we are able to Log order information and helps share important data with the company.

 ### 33. Smartsheet: Intuitive Spreadsheet Feel with Powerful Project Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Quentin D. | Finance Controller, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

What I like best about Smartsheet is how it combines the familiarity of a spreadsheet with powerful project management and collaboration features. It’s intuitive to get started, but still robust enough to handle complex workflows.

In particular, the ability to automate processes, track tasks in real time, and collaborate easily with different stakeholders makes it very efficient. Features like dashboards and reporting also help turn data into clear, actionable insights, which is especially valuable for monitoring progress and supporting decision-making.

Overall, it strikes a good balance between ease of use and functionality.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

What I dislike about Smartsheet is that, while it’s powerful, it can become complex and less intuitive when you start using more advanced features. Setting up automations, formulas, or cross-sheet references often requires a bit of a learning curve.

Another drawback is that performance can slow down with large sheets or complex workflows, which can impact efficiency. The interface can also feel less user-friendly compared to more modern tools, especially for new users.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps solve the problem of scattered information and lack of visibility across projects. Before using it, tracking tasks, deadlines, and responsibilities across different teams could be fragmented and time-consuming.

With Smartsheet, everything is centralized in one place, which improves transparency and alignment. It allows real-time tracking of progress, clearer ownership of tasks, and easier collaboration between stakeholders.

 ### 34. Significantly Boosted Efficiency with Centralized Store Communication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benen H. | Operations Coordinator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

It has increased the efficiency of the business significantly allowing us to share information with our stores in one location as well as allowing stores to fill in forms to request actions from us at support office.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Updates mess with it occasionally. Table view i cannot send a single update request. i need to go back to grid view, send update request and then go back to table view if a store has entered the wrong info.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dashboard creation to cover off multiple KPI's for stores including stock management, stocktakes, special orders and stock adjustments.
It reduces emails significantly, keeps all info in one place for anyone relevant to view and there is now a history to go back to.

 ### 35. Easy-to-Share Sheets with Helpful Guidance and Strong Project Monitoring Tools

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ilias C. | Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

There are several tools available to help monitor a project and prepare it effectively. Each sheet you create is easy to be stored, see changes of history, but also share it to people outside the organization. Sheets can be exported. While creating a sheet, a basic guide and instructions are available on how to make most of it and structure it in a correct way. AI options are also available, however I have not yet made used of it.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

It is a bit hard to understand the full capacity and the difference between all the sheets that can be created. I have also tried grouping - putting sheets into specific folders, but I have faced some difficulties.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps my daily monitoring but also long term monitoring of my projects. I can review the progress of it, track the milestones, set deadlines and communicate easily inside the company. Daily schedule is implemented and all relevant stakeholders can simply be informed through Smartsheet for their completion.

 ### 36. Streamlines Project Management & Tasks with Ease

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gokul S. | Engineer II, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I love the look and feel of Smartsheet and how simple it is to create automations and workflows. Sharing is easy too. Making automations is straightforward, and the forms allow me to gather detailed information from anyone. The automations are not just for sending emails but also for sending request forms, reminders, and more. For projects, I set up automations that send emails to action owners to update their actions, which saves me from having to remind them myself. The initial setup was really easy for us. I like the fact that it has got a direct connection to PowerBI so I can create more advanced dashbaords if required. I never got any issues with the server or lagging or much of bugs it was more on the functionality that is lacking. The cost is pretty high too if we want to implement it but if the client is okay with this tool then it is a good recommendation for large and medium sized companies.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I find that making the dynamic dropdown better with a better interface would be an improvement. Also, copying columns easily with the conditional formatting is an issue. I'm not able to create multiple columns at once, and I can't copy the type of the columns—I have to create it every time. There is no option of creating new workspaces with a templated version and if I need that I might have to go and create using control center which is again cost effective.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet for project and program management, including tracking actions, milestones, costs, and deadlines. It’s especially helpful because it automatically sends email updates and reminders to action owners, which makes it much easier to stay on top of tracking and follow-ups.

 ### 37. Flexible, Intuitive Tool That’s Easy to Use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bekkay N. | Senior Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

The interface is intuitive and familiar, so it’s easy to adopt quickly, while still offering powerful features for collaboration and automation. I also appreciate how smooth and responsive it feels, especially when managing multiple workflows and keeping teams aligned in real time.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

What I dislike about Smartsheet is mainly the learning curve for advanced features, the high price point for smaller teams, and an interface that feels a bit dated compared to newer tools like monday.com or Asana. Sorting and filtering settings also don’t stay saved automatically, which can be tedious when working with live data.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves fragmented project tracking, manual workflows, and poor visibility. By centralizing work, automating alerts/approvals, and offering real-time dashboards, it reduces emails, saves time, and keeps teams aligned on priorities.s

 ### 38. Streamlined Reporting with Smartsheet

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike S. | Senior Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

It has a wide range of applications and is able to create bespoke solutions that are easy to use. The cell history function and the ability to amend permissions (admin, editor, viewer, etc) make governance and auditing easy. The annual cost of member seats is reasonable and making viewers free has meant that it is a system that the whole business can use. Reporting can be as simple or sophisticated as required but the control centre tool allows you to aggregate data for many workspaces into one report. Having a database has reduced duplication in work and the whole system has made our processes more streamlined and efficient. The online support and training videos were crucial to get our system going. Cheetah Transformation were a pivotal third party company that helped us develop our solution and introduce best practice. In the future, we are looking at how Smartsheet can integrate with our other systems. Performance is generally good with the occasional delay in pulling data from sheets to dashboards, but this resolves in time.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

It is a relatively new software for the business so we haven't had the chance to find anything we dislike.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has reduced duplication of work, streamlining processes and making them more efficient.

 ### 39. Flexible, Easy-to-Use Project Management with Powerful Automation and Dashboards

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krishnendu D. | Solution Architect - Solutions, Consulting & Engineering (SC&E), Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet’s biggest strength is its flexibility and ease of use. It combines the familiarity of a spreadsheet with powerful project management features, making it easy to track tasks, timelines, and dependencies without a steep learning curve. The automation workflows, dashboards, and reporting capabilities provide strong visibility and help streamline coordination across teams.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Least helpful / downsides:

Limited depth for complex projects – Not as powerful as tools like MS Project or Jira for advanced dependencies, resource planning, or large-scale programs
Performance issues with large sheets – Can slow down when handling heavy data or multiple linked sheets
Cost scales quickly – Licensing can become expensive as more users and features are added
Basic UI for advanced use – While simple, it can feel restrictive and less intuitive for complex workflows
Reporting limitations – Dashboards are good, but deep analytics and customization are somewhat limited
Automation constraints – Useful, but not as flexible as dedicated workflow automation tools
Dependency management is not very strong – Handling complex inter-project dependencies can be cumbersome

In short:
Great for structured collaboration, but not ideal for highly complex project management or large enterprise-scale planning.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps centralize project tracking, task management, and reporting in one place, reducing reliance on scattered spreadsheets and emails. It improves visibility across teams, streamlines coordination, and enables better tracking of timelines and dependencies. This results in more efficient project execution, clearer accountability, and faster decision-making.

 ### 40. Intuitive and Effective for Project Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angela Z. | Mechanical Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like that Smartsheet is very intuitive and easy to use. I like that it allows you to integrate project management functions that facilitate the tracking of activities. The assignment of responsibilities, the ability to establish subtasks, and set deadlines for each activity are tools that improve the effectiveness of control. Additionally, its interface is very similar to Excel, which helps a lot because I am already familiar with the environment that Smartsheet offers. With the initial access, everything was smooth, Smartsheet is very user-friendly and allowed me to sign up without any issues. So far, I haven't needed support for any problem, it has worked without any issues.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Even though its interface is very similar to Excel, applying more advanced functions can be a bit less user-friendly. The interface is indeed fast, very dynamic, but its price can be a bit high. In this particular case, the company only maintains licenses for people who really use it for cost savings, so the price can indeed be high even for companies.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet for project management. Having a tool like Smartsheet has helped me achieve my objectives and action plans for project development. Additionally, with its AI integration, it makes it faster for me to apply the functions I need for my day-to-day tasks.

 ### 41. Smartsheet Makes Team Collaboration and Sharing Effortless

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I appreciate that smartsheet allows you to share spreadsheets easily between teams as well as work on the document at the same time. I also appreciate the feature to have different views displayed, that has been really helpful when sharing with different team members who may not need to see all of the data.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I have not run into too many issues, the interface is easy to use and understand and the features are helpful. However, I will say the only inconvinient thing is the lack of autosave. I do appreciate the reminders ever ten minutes to save my work but autosave would be much more helpful, especially since i use smartsheets on a browser.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since our company is consulting-based, we work with a variety of teams and partners outside of our organization. Smartsheets has helped ease the transfer and storage of data between teams.

 ### 42. Great Project Visibility and Collaboration, with an Excel-to-Smartsheet Learning Curve

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

What I like best about Smartsheet is how easy it is to keep projects organized. I can quickly see deadlines, track progress, and understand who is responsible for each task. That level of visibility helps keep everyone accountable and aligned on priorities. I also like how easily it can be shared across the team, making collaboration and communication much smoother.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

What I dislike about Smartsheet is that it is different from Excel, which I'm very familiar with. Some common tasks, such as inserting, deleting, or manipulating data, require a different approach. It can take time to adjust, and at times it feels less convenient than Excel because of those differences.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps our team manage and track projects more efficiently. It provides visibility into deadlines, responsibilities, and overall progress, which helps us stay organized, improve collaboration, and keep projects moving forward.

 ### 43. Effortlessly Tracks Client Progress with Precision

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ariel S. | Paraplanning Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I love using Smartsheet because it helps me organize clients, check the progress, and complete tasks efficiently. The feature I value the most is the formulas since they help me track how many tasks are being completed. For example, if a specific client has multiple funds, I can track it by numbers and see how many are being produced. Transitioning to Smartsheet from Google Sheet has made our process much easier and more efficient. I also found the initial setup pretty easy for me, especially being a tech person.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Not a thing cross my mind, It works perfectly

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet to organize clients, check progress, and get notifications when tasks are completed. It helps me monitor clients and track completions efficiently, much easier than Google Sheets. The formulas are valuable for tracking numbers, and overall, setup was easy for a tech person.

 ### 44. Flexible, Easy-to-Use Collaboration and Workflow Automation in Smartsheet

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Annaliza M. | Customer Success Coordinator II, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

What I like most about Smartsheet is its flexibility and ease of use. It combines the familiarity of a spreadsheet. It also allows real-time collaboration, which helps keep everyone aligned

The most helpful aspect of Smartsheet is its ability to centralize information and automate workflows. Features like reporting tools make it easier to manage projects efficiently and reduce manual work.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

One thing I don’t particularly like about Smartsheet is that it can sometimes feel a bit unintuitive, especially when setting up more advanced features like automations or dependencies. It’s not always immediately clear how certain functions work, so there’s a bit of trial and error involved.

Additionally, having to frequently re-enter a password when logging in can be inconvenient and slightly disrupts the user experience.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps solve the challenge of managing multiple projects, tasks, and stakeholders in a single, organized platform. Instead of relying on scattered spreadsheets, emails, and manual tracking, everything is centralized in one place.

This benefits me by improving visibility and coordination, as I can easily track project progress, deadlines, and updates in real time. It also enhances collaboration, since multiple team members can work on and update the same sheet simultaneously without confusion.

 ### 45. Effective Project Management, Needs Visual Improvements

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like how Smartsheet helps with the coordination of different tasks and interdependencies, making it easier to understand the structure of work packages and how one leads to another. It also effectively assigns tasks. It's really useful in keeping on top of tasks, especially those not on-site, when working with several groups in the grant. The main tool I value is the ability to build projects, which creates a main landing page to share and get input from everyone. I also appreciate the way it allows nesting of different sub work packages into the overall task, as it makes planning the project clearer. The initial setup wasn't too bad, and we got onboarded pretty quickly. I also include the price of each work package so that I can keep on top of costs.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I think it could look nicer. You should be able to make a Gantt chart, which you can copy and paste into PowerPoint, making it more visually appealing and straightforward. Yeah, so I think the visuals could be improved. The Gant chart function should have a 'drag' element to it, rather than having to manually input the days,

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet to coordinate tasks and their interdependencies, understand work package structures, and stay on top of work across different groups. The price is also reasonable for us. If the cost was higher than we couldn't have the number of licenses that we do.

 ### 46. Customisable Platform That Improves Efficiency

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erin . | Training and Quality Administrator/Admin Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Flexible—can be used for almost any process. Automations help reduce manual work, and it’s easy to track jobs, tasks, and overall progress. The dashboards and reports provide good visibility, and collaboration stays in one place with comments, attachments, and updates. It’s also customisable to fit how the business works, and it integrates with other systems.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

There’s a steep learning curve, and it can be confusing at first—especially for new users. It often feels like “Excel but harder.” Some advanced features cost extra and require add-ons, and it isn’t fully real-time, so updates can lag. If it’s not set up properly from the start, things can get messy quickly. Overall, it still feels limited compared to dedicated project tools, and some tasks end up needing complex formulas or workarounds.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves manual tracking issues by keeping all jobs, tasks, and updates in one place. It reduces double handling and admin work through automations, and it improves visibility into progress and status for the whole team. It also helps prevent missed tasks, delays, and follow-ups by keeping everything organised and up to date. Overall, it creates more consistent processes and reporting across jobs, and it makes collaboration easier with notes, attachments, and updates all managed within the same system.

 ### 47. Smartsheet Makes Sharing Proofs and Design Approvals Effortless

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hannah H. | Senior Graphic Designer and Social Media Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I am a graphic designer and social media manager at the university I work at and I love that I can share and send proofs to my colleagues through Smartsheet. It makes it much more convenient to move forward with designs when there is a space like that dedicated to approving and asking for revisions of designs.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Sometimes I have trouble figuring out automations that will send information to people when it comes to timelines and due dates.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think it is helping our team be a little more streamlined and organized. Especially when it comes to utilizing comm flows for big events on campus. It also helps me specifically when it comes to scheduling my content for all social media on campus, as that is my main job.

 ### 48. Useful tool for project planning and clear accountability

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** roberto P. | IT consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Integrated login with Microsoft account. Clear accountability of the actions to be done. Visual of the status by means of utilizing colors depending on the status of the task.
The application is quick enough to lead.
Don't have info concerning the pricing as it is managed at a corporate level.
So far the application use has been smooth so no support has been necessaray.
No artificial intelligence is being leveraged during our use (we use it for a project tracker)

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

It could be more granular in telling what is the pending tasks or the new ones rather than just sending an email saying "there are new ones".

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a good tool for project planning, it'd be nice to have some dashboard for the completion perecentage, outstanding items, etc..

 ### 49. Clear, Structured Project Planning Overview with Detailed Task Assignments

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like that it’s possible to create a clear, structured planning overview for projects, where you can specify multiple details such as dates, equipment, and who tasks are assigned to.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The indents and outdents are sometimes a bit finicky, so it takes some time to adjust. On the right side, when there are many lines, it can sometimes be difficult to read. Also, on the right side I’d like to see the exact date instead of only the weekday.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps us create higher-quality project overviews, timelines, and schedules. It saves us a lot of time to have everything clearly set up in Smartsheet, instead of having to build it from scratch in Excel, for example, which takes extra time just to get the layout right. We also like using the option to save projects as templates, so we can reuse them for similar projects. That way, we spend less time setting up the project schedule and activities each time.

 ### 50. Smartsheet has been a gamechanger

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** K M. | Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet has made my life so much easier. It has been so easy to install and set up, and can set up a new sheet so easily. There is also great support to get to grips with the tool so easily, with regular webinars and online tutorials to help with any issues I might have or answer questions. I use smartsheet on a daily basis and is now an essential software in all of my day-to-day tasks. I love how it can make my tasks and reports look more aesthetically pleasing. It makes presenting and planning so much easier, especially as it is so easy to share to anyone in the business. It also makes collaboration on tasks much more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The only negative thing I can see is that sometimes the taskbar can take a while to understand and find where actions are, so needed to take time to refer to some videos to find the actions that I wanted.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was resorting to Excel to produce status reports and project manage, which looked very basic and didn't always visualise the message that needed to be conveyed. Whereas in Smartsheet, there are so many different ways to visualise these plans, and easily share with the stakeholders involved. It is also great to have one place that is easily accessible to maintain that we always have one source of truth with these plans
