**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I love using Smartsheet because it helps me organize clients, check the progress, and complete tasks efficiently. The feature I value the most is the formulas since they help me track how many tasks are being completed. For example, if a specific client has multiple funds, I can track it by numbers and see how many are being produced. Transitioning to Smartsheet from Google Sheet has made our process much easier and more efficient. I also found the initial setup pretty easy for me, especially being a tech person.

I use Smartsheet to organize clients, check progress, and get notifications when tasks are completed. It helps me monitor clients and track completions efficiently, much easier than Google Sheets. The formulas are valuable for tracking numbers, and overall, setup was easy for a tech person.

What I like most about Smartsheet is its flexibility and ease of use. It combines the familiarity of a spreadsheet. It also allows real-time collaboration, which helps keep everyone aligned

The most helpful aspect of Smartsheet is its ability to centralize information and automate workflows. Features like reporting tools make it easier to manage projects efficiently and reduce manual work.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

One thing I don’t particularly like about Smartsheet is that it can sometimes feel a bit unintuitive, especially when setting up more advanced features like automations or dependencies. It’s not always immediately clear how certain functions work, so there’s a bit of trial and error involved.

Additionally, having to frequently re-enter a password when logging in can be inconvenient and slightly disrupts the user experience.

Smartsheet helps solve the challenge of managing multiple projects, tasks, and stakeholders in a single, organized platform. Instead of relying on scattered spreadsheets, emails, and manual tracking, everything is centralized in one place.

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like how Smartsheet helps with the coordination of different tasks and interdependencies, making it easier to understand the structure of work packages and how one leads to another. It also effectively assigns tasks. It's really useful in keeping on top of tasks, especially those not on-site, when working with several groups in the grant. The main tool I value is the ability to build projects, which creates a main landing page to share and get input from everyone. I also appreciate the way it allows nesting of different sub work packages into the overall task, as it makes planning the project clearer. The initial setup wasn't too bad, and we got onboarded pretty quickly. I also include the price of each work package so that I can keep on top of costs.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I think it could look nicer. You should be able to make a Gantt chart, which you can copy and paste into PowerPoint, making it more visually appealing and straightforward. Yeah, so I think the visuals could be improved. The Gant chart function should have a 'drag' element to it, rather than having to manually input the days,

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet to coordinate tasks and their interdependencies, understand work package structures, and stay on top of work across different groups. The price is also reasonable for us. If the cost was higher than we couldn't have the number of licenses that we do.

It’s also customisable to fit how the business works, and it integrates with other systems.

There’s a steep learning curve, and it can be confusing at first—especially for new users. It often feels like “Excel but harder.” Some advanced features cost extra and require add-ons, and it isn’t fully real-time, so updates can lag. If it’s not set up properly from the start, things can get messy quickly. Overall, it still feels limited compared to dedicated project tools, and some tasks end up needing complex formulas or workarounds.

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I am a graphic designer and social media manager at the university I work at and I love that I can share and send proofs to my colleagues through Smartsheet. It makes it much more convenient to move forward with designs when there is a space like that dedicated to approving and asking for revisions of designs.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Sometimes I have trouble figuring out automations that will send information to people when it comes to timelines and due dates.

I think it is helping our team be a little more streamlined and organized. Especially when it comes to utilizing comm flows for big events on campus. It also helps me specifically when it comes to scheduling my content for all social media on campus, as that is my main job.

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Integrated login with Microsoft account. Clear accountability of the actions to be done. Visual of the status by means of utilizing colors depending on the status of the task.
The application is quick enough to lead. 
Don't have info concerning the pricing as it is managed at a corporate level.
So far the application use has been smooth so no support has been necessaray.
No artificial intelligence is being leveraged during our use (we use it for a project tracker)

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

It could be more granular in telling what is the pending tasks or the new ones rather than just sending an email saying "there are new ones".

It is a good tool for project planning, it'd be nice to have some dashboard for the completion perecentage, outstanding items, etc..

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like that it’s possible to create a clear, structured planning overview for projects, where you can specify multiple details such as dates, equipment, and who tasks are assigned to.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The indents and outdents are sometimes a bit finicky, so it takes some time to adjust. On the right side, when there are many lines, it can sometimes be difficult to read. Also, on the right side I’d like to see the exact date instead of only the weekday.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps us create higher-quality project overviews, timelines, and schedules. It saves us a lot of time to have everything clearly set up in Smartsheet, instead of having to build it from scratch in Excel, for example, which takes extra time just to get the layout right. We also like using the option to save projects as templates, so we can reuse them for similar projects. That way, we spend less time setting up the project schedule and activities each time.

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet has made my life so much easier. It has been so easy to install and set up, and can set up a new sheet so easily. There is also great support to get to grips with the tool so easily, with regular webinars and online tutorials to help with any issues I might have or answer questions. I use smartsheet on a daily basis and is now an essential software in all of my day-to-day tasks. I love how it can make my tasks and reports look more aesthetically pleasing. It makes presenting and planning so much easier, especially as it is so easy to share to anyone in the business. It also makes collaboration on tasks much more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The only negative thing I can see is that sometimes the taskbar can take a while to understand and find where actions are, so needed to take time to refer to some videos to find the actions that I wanted.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was resorting to Excel to produce status reports and project manage, which looked very basic and didn't always visualise the message that needed to be conveyed. Whereas in Smartsheet, there are so many different ways to visualise these plans, and easily share with the stakeholders involved. It is also great to have one place that is easily accessible to maintain that we always have one source of truth with these plans

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like Smartsheet's simple user interface, and it's something I'm very comfortable with. It's easy to navigate and familiar because I've been trained in other applications. I enjoy that it's accessible to most people and that contributors don't need a license to update the project plan, which is helpful.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I think the application itself is a little bit clunky. Sometimes it's slow to react, and I have to refresh it. The auto save function is a little bit intermittent on the website itself, so I think that could be fixed up. I'd like to see more theme options as well and easier to brush templates.

I use Smartsheet to bring data together in one place, which makes it much easier to build and maintain dashboards for executives.

Lots of options for organizing data, tracking progress on projects, and sharing data with colleagues. It is easy to create and share spreadsheets with coworkers - and there is never an issue with version control: the tool handles multiple editors well. Tool is fast to load and save updates.

Interface can be confusing and it is not always easy to find past sheets or understand how to link individual sheets to a larger project.

I like how I can track all my work easily, which includes data tracking. I have also been able to create a form for our installers and cleaners to fill out and then I can extract that data. Also being able to share with other individuals has helped us as a team to build and ask questions.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I tried to do some planning and to do tasks. Although it kept me in order, I was not sure if it sent notifications to my colleagues for them to keep track of their items.

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

The best thing about Smartsheet is how completely customizable it is. If you don’t like the program, you’re probably either using it incorrectly or you haven’t set it up in a way that truly fits your needs. You can integrate pretty much any other system or software you already use, which helps everything work smoothly together.

Another major plus is the 24x7 support and online courses. Smartsheet University has been the biggest help in setting up our Smartsheet solution. I had never used the system before starting this job, so I had a lot to learn, and the training made it much easier to get up to speed.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The biggest drawback of Smartsheet for a small business, especially, is the price. We’d like to use some of the add-on features, but we can’t justify the extra cost.

Another downside is their support system. I’ve had quite a few scheduled support meetings cancelled without warning and then not rescheduled, and it ends up being on me to go back into the system and set them up again.

We also run into issues at times where permissions seem to get confused. For example, I’m the owner of most of the workspaces in our system, yet sometimes when I try to upload something I get a message that I “don’t have permission to access this sheet.” If I’m the owner, what more permission do I need? Having to navigate around that is frustrating and it interrupts our daily workflow.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet keeps all of our client files in one place and makes them easy to manage. I use it daily to update project progress, and it’s nice having everything together. We’re just starting to dive into the world of AI (probably behind the times), but we’re excited to see what Smartsheet can do for us.

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

What I like best about Smartsheet is how flexible it is for solving real operational problems. We were able to create a single source of truth for all campus gift funds coming into UCOP, bringing together information that was previously scattered across multiple donor-advised fund providers and online giving platforms.

One of the biggest advantages is the ability to create dynamic views so each campus only sees its own gift and donor information, while we maintain a centralized dataset. We also upload all supporting gift documentation directly to each record, making it easy to access everything in one place. By tagging our accounting team on incoming gifts, they immediately know what deposits into the bank account correspond to, and we can track the transfer of funds to each campus within the same workflow instead of relying on long email chains.

Overall, Smartsheet has streamlined our gift processing, improved transparency, reduced manual communication, and created a much more efficient collaboration process across teams. In many ways, it provides functionality similar to Chariot for our internal workflow, but at a fraction of the cost.organizes

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

One limitation of Smartsheet is its attachment size and storage constraints. I would love to use it as a central repository for the many annual supplemental reports we collect from our campuses, but the reports are often very large spreadsheets that exceed practical upload limits. Instead, we use Smartsheet to track the status and progress of report submissions, while storing the actual files elsewhere. If larger file storage and handling were supported, it would make Smartsheet an even more complete solution for our workflow.

Smartsheet solves the challenge of managing a complex, multi-campus gift administration process that previously relied on information scattered across multiple donor-advised fund providers, online giving platforms, spreadsheets, and email threads. It gives us a centralized system to track gifts from receipt through transfer to the campuses, organize supporting documentation, and ensure the right stakeholders have access to the information they need. This has improved transparency, reduced manual follow-up, minimized the risk of errors, and made it much easier to coordinate between our team, Accounting, and the campuses.

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

For me, the main advantages are the versatility in applications and the ability to ensure a good UI/UX in every context. During work, I also had the opportunity to try some integration elements to communicate with Microsoft components and, in general, I never encountered problems, except when working with high volumes.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I have often found myself working with large volumes of data that affect performance. Another thing I don't like is the presence of limits on timestamps, because not all types of date columns also support time.

The system is constantly evolving: I started using it just over a year ago and I have already noticed substantial improvements and integrations.

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I think it's clean. It takes a little while to get people convinced to use it, but once they start, they realize how good it is. I like just being able to share it and interact together. We use the project tool mostly, and having the percentage complete, the Gantt view, and the subtasks are very, very helpful. It really helps things move forward and keeps things progressing, and it holds people accountable. It also helps us keep good reflections on what's been achieved and keep that documented. When we were managing people in the ops space, being able to attach documents and consultations and adding comments for adjustments really helped. The comments and being able to set URL links that link to our documents lets us connect to other systems and processes we use within the business, which is also very helpful. The initial setup was very easy. I've used Smartsheet in my last three companies and always implemented it across different teams because I find it useful.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

{"I think there's something about it that doesn't initially feel intuitive.","It takes a little while to get people convinced to use it.","I think sometimes the sharing capabilities could be easier.","People have to have so many licenses to be able to do certain things.","I've seen the changes of the different tariffs and programs. I think I'm still on an old tariff that is much better, and I haven't upgraded because it limits the functionality that I would have got back in the day. So I decided not to upgrade on those basis. Because it feels like I'd be getting a lesser deal."}

I have used this product in multiple industries for different size organisations and it never fails to become an ongoing product they continue to use

I use Smartsheet to keep my ops teams accountable and keep projects moving. I like the project tool, percentage complete, Gantt view, and subtasks. Being able to share and collaborate, attach documents, add comments, and link to other systems really helps things progress.

What I love most about Smartsheet is that it holds so much information: access docs, all of our clientele, and more, and it keeps everything organized. I especially like being able to leave comments on client cards, which makes it easy to keep track of details and stay on the same page.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The least helpful thing about Smartsheet is that, sometimes, names don’t show up when I search. When that happens, I have to manually look for the right person by going through the sheets.

Im actually not quite sure, I don't think i've seen any problems that smartsheet is solving.

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Haven't had any issues with upload or sync time when using Smartsheet. Also, the UI is pretty intuitive, especially when compared to Google Sheets and Excel's web version. The Pro version is competitively priced, and it has most of the integrations I've needed.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

There could be better communication about how the auto-save functions in Smartsheet. It's not something you learn to modify until it's too late. For example, it seems odd that the auto-save feature turns on after 1 minute of inactivity, but it doesn't auto save all changes or modifications to a sheet, especially when competitors do that by default.

It functions primarily as a project management system, which we need because we have employees in different regions/time zones working remotely.

It is a collaborative tool that the whole team can access and enter data at the same time. It has a user interface similar to MS Excel which all know how to work with. It has access from the phone app or the computer. It has automation, so when you configure it, it will send notifications (email) to the team.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

For the dashboards, I'd like it to be more like Monday.com. I used to have that one before, and I think it was very good for dashboards.

Team communication. It helps keep the whole team on the same page. They can provide live feedback to the PM and the rest of the team. It helps with the accountability of the team.

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I use Smartsheet to keep organized and track lists of physicians in our shareholder process as well as track our medical students' progress. I like that Smartsheet helps me keep everything in one place and presents the information I need clearly. The interface is easy to set up and use, and I really enjoy clicking on boxes and then marking items as complete. It helps me to keep track of the steps I need to take and gives me a great visual of what I need to do versus what I have done, giving me a sense of accomplishment. I appreciate the helpful reminders for my next steps. The initial setup was very easy and intuitive. Overall, Smartsheet has really helped me.

Within a single workspace, you can create more than just a schedule, it can embed links and reports from your data. There's very few integrated solutions that allows us to do this. The sheet is able to handle all of our client information and workspace. There's great ROI as we have fully migrated our work from MS project to Smartsheet. The AI integration is very seamless and offers an easy to use solution for beginners as well as expert users. Onboarding was very supportive with lots of build-out activities and helpful videos

The enterprise cost is higher than Monday and similar sheets but the performance of the Smartsheet is worth its cost.

I like the way it integrates sharing and documenting information, my favorite feature is the link sharing as it doesn't matter if there is a security breach the link won't be accessible unless they have the file rights, and for me as an Admin I can easily grant access. The only problem is that some times it bugs when you are downloading sheet access reports and whenever someone leaves the company if the file is not shared with me as an admin or even a workspace and we don't have this person at the office like when someone leaves for maternity leave there is no other way to share the file unless you assign the files to yourself, admins should be able to assign workspaces to themselves. when you are using two screens and the secondary is low res it doesn't look quite good in that screen. Also AI should recognize repetitive process and recommend things to you that you look for very often, like if no other rows have been added recently or no extra modifications in the sheen since my last login to this file

Smartsheet makes day-to-day work simple, Compiling orders, returns etc in organised sheets, time stamps of who has updated certain orders to track stock easily and all round useful for everyone to stay in the loop about what's going on around the building. Smartsheet always run's smoothly for me personally and I find it seamless to use. I've not got round to using any AI integration yet but I'm sure this will develop as time goes on

I think all lines updated should be autosaved as soon as a someone updates a line, this is to ensure people don't work on the same line at the same time by accident and would avoid slight mistakes if the auto function was implemented.

Smartsheet keeps all our data compiled and organised in to separated sheets so we can keep track of where orders are going, keep track of PO's and deal with returns. We can use this to locate our stock and see if we have that stock ready for an order that has been pre packed, making sure our stock is as accurate as it can be. As of 2026 it has been useful to keep track of data regarding open box return machines to ensure damaged items are logged and don't get processed. I believe the pricing for smartsheet is worth the money due to it's organisation and history tracking in each cell.

Building new sheets in Smartsheet is quite time consuming and easier to do in, for example, Excel. The limitations around cross-sheet referencing limits our ability to have single source sheets talking to multiple other sheets, eg contact/business details in one location feeding into multiple others. The functionality of Update Requests (eg instructions for each datapoint, Summary Statements, etc) could be improved to match those of the Forms. The formulas (usually in cross-sheet referencing) can return the wrong result for random cells using the formula whilst others are accurate. I can have both sheets open and see the cell the formula should be returning but the formula returns something different. I have also run into issues with the 300-column limit on a single Smartsheet

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I really find the nesting and dropdown abilities in Smartsheet helpful. They let me easily hide information I don't need and expand sections whenever necessary. I like using the indentation features to create a hierarchy of information by nesting things. The advanced features like dropdowns and nesting definitely make Smartsheet more versatile compared to regular spreadsheets. Also, the formulas are easier, and we have relied on templates a lot, which have been very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I wish it was a bit more obvious what can and can't be indented or outdented. Sometimes I have to go back to tutorials to figure it out. Wish it was a bit more intuitive. I recall templates were not as intuitive as I'd like. Hopefully that has improved.

The API connections and offload capabilities provide the opportunity to integrate Smartsheet data with several of our data systems at a relatively low price. The AI help with functions has also been helpful.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

As more automations are added to sheets for workflows, the system gets EXTREMELY bogged down, which is worrying when automations are the primary means of notification and workflow movement. Some of the workflows are also somewhat limiting, such as only being able to assign one individual down a branch in a contact assignment automation. I also have some issues with the ease of use of form display logic. A couple features I feel are somewhat missing from form logic include character/word limits on open response, and the ability to populate drop downs with information from other spaces, like a separate sheet, automatically. Lastly, and this is minor at this point, but our onboarding and original construction of our Smartsheet solution failed to meet many of the stated needs for the system. This may be due to the individual in our organization who led the initial design, but a good amount of time has been sent redesigning the system to better meet our organizational needs.

There are features in Smartsheet that are not in other spreadsheet services. For me, the conditional formatting and filters are significantly easier on Smartsheet than any other tool I have used. It is also very easy to delegate tasks when working with colleagues. I like the AI tools to assist with creating dashboards, and how dashboard charts update in real time to see up-to-date progress.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet does not have the ability to create tabs like other spreadsheet tools, so you have to create separate sheets within the same workspace instead. This works for some tasks, but not all of them. There also is not the ability to merge cells in Smartsheet, which is something I often need to do. It is also a more expensive item so you may not be able to get a license if it is not in the budget for your organization. Without a license, the functionality is extremely limited.

Smartsheet has been a useful tool for organizing a complex yearly project. The ease of creating conditional formatting, filters, and dashboards has been a huge help for me. I also like that you can save templates so I can use the same sheet next year when I start my project again.

The ability to assign clients to specific requests and communicate through the comment section when we upload sample. It is easy and simple format for both myself and my clients. We've used it to populate trackers for our jobs that help with our utilization.

There was a brief period of time where we lost admin privileges due to seat type changes and pricing increase that caused delays in projects getting done because staff couldn't access certain pages. I wasn't apart of the team talking to the Smartsheet support but it sounded like the support took a while to respond.

Customization to our brand is another aspect I enjoy.
