**What do you like best about PurelyHR?**

It’s a very simple way to book time off and to see who will be away for any period of time. It’s also helpful for knowing whose birthday it is, and for checking how many sick days or vacation days you have remaining. It cuts down on having to call or email people in HR to book time off or discuss details, since you can request a day off directly and add notes for them to review. It also makes it easier to see when your managers or co-workers will be away in case you need them for a project. Overall, it keeps everything on the up and up.

**What do you dislike about PurelyHR?**

I had quite a bit of trouble signing in at first. You have to remember your company tag to sign in correctly, and that wasn’t obvious to me in the beginning. I also wasn’t clear on how time off works for things like bereavement leave or jury duty, especially when it comes to whether it uses bankable hours or sick time. Overall, the app works well enough, but I did struggle a bit with getting started and understanding how everything was set up.

**What problems is PurelyHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It cuts down on having to ask people directly for time off, since you can just submit a request along with a reason. It also reduces a lot of the back-and-forth around time-off requests and lets you see how much time you have banked. For administrators, it makes it easier to keep track of the whole company’s vacation time and sick leave, and to accept or reject requests without so much back-and-forth.

**What do you like best about PurelyHR?**

As part of our mid-sized German tech team, I rely on PurelyHR to streamline all our daily core HR processes. Its biggest strength is centralized employee records and document management. Everything is stored in one secure, well-organized platform, so we no longer have to rely on messy spreadsheets and scattered email files. It keeps our personnel records well-structured and fully compliant with local regulations. I also really appreciate the employee self-service portal. It’s clean and easy to use, letting staff access their own HR information independently. This has greatly cut down repetitive routine questions sent to the HR team. On top of that, the initial setup was seamless with clear built-in guidance. We didn’t need extra IT support, and the intuitive interface let us configure settings easily with no formal training required.

**What do you dislike about PurelyHR?**

The main downside is its rather basic reporting and analytics functions. We want to track strategic HR data such as staff turnover trends, onboarding completion rates, and department-level leave usage patterns, but the default reports lack depth and customization options. We have to export raw data manually and create our own spreadsheets every month to prepare reports for management, which adds extra repetitive workload. The platform also lacks robust native third-party integrations, forcing us to rely on manual workarounds to connect data across our internal tools.

PurelyHR consolidates all our HR work into one unified system. It replaces scattered spreadsheets and disjointed files, lowers compliance risks, simplifies daily HR administration, and empowers employees through self-service functions. It saves our team plenty of manual work and keeps all personnel data standardized and well-managed.

**What do you like best about PurelyHR?**

I really appreciate PurelyHR's user interface. It's very easy to use, especially for handling tasks like attendance management, payroll, and leave management. As someone working in HR, it's super helpful for managing a large team of over 900 employees. I can easily monitor attendance, identify gaps, and communicate with employees if needed. The setup process is straightforward too, and the system guides me through assigning employees to departments and designations. Overall, PurelyHR makes my job much simpler and helps manage all the HR related systems efficiently.

**What do you dislike about PurelyHR?**

I think the system is a bit complicated when we open the PurelyHR app, as it does not show our attendance system in the front.

**What problems is PurelyHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use PurelyHR to solve payroll and attendance issues. It's an easy software to manage employee attendance and monitor activities, especially during payroll time. The attendance management system and user-friendly interface make it valuable for handling various HR functions.

If I am waiting on a response from a co-worker at another location, it's helpful to check if they are out of the office on any particular day.

It is user friendly and guide me every step of the way. It also helps employees to keep track of his vacation and sick leaves.

I don't see anything that makes it not helpful.

**What do you like best about PurelyHR?**

Purely HR is very straightforward and intuitive to use.  The 'Estimated Balance on a Specific Date' feature is valuable for employee's holiday planning.  The 'at a glance' calendar makes seeing who is available or away quick and easy...this is essential for holiday and resource planning.  The 'Time-Off Summary' function contains useful information including a summary of all time-off requests approved, pending, rejected and cancelled and can be shown for a user-selected time period.

**What do you dislike about PurelyHR?**

The only issue I have noticed is when booking a partial day off...the system is set to a standard workday (i.e., 7.5 hours), but when not all employees work the same number of hours in a standard workday, it can be somewhat confusing.  For instance, if the company standard is a 7.5 hour workday, an employee's half-day is 3.75 hours, but if an employee works non standard hours (i.e., an 8 hour workday), that employee must enter 3.75 hours for a half-day even though their half-day is technically 4 hours.

**What problems is PurelyHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PurelyHR makes it easy to see at a glance who is or is planning to be away or is away on specific day(s).  This information is essential to ensure the coverage of critical functions.  The 'Time-Off Summary' feature makes it easy to see exactly how much time I have available both currently and at a future date, including already approved time off.

**What do you like best about PurelyHR?**

Being able to see the schedule of all of my coworkers has been a huge help. I think the system and interface of Purely HR is very simple and easy to use for everyone. I thoroughly enjoy how easy it is to make sure I am taking the correct amount of time off, how much time I have remaining, whether it is PTO, Vacation, sick time, or beravement, Purley HR has made it very simple for us to use here at Simply Business. I also enjoy every Friday submitting my time sheet, as it could not really be any easier then it is. Something that has helped me and my coworkers out a lot if the reminder email that gets sent out every Friday, if the time sheet is not submitted.

**What do you dislike about PurelyHR?**

When I think of anything I dislike about Purely HR not much comes to mind. One thing that I think could be fixed would probably be the "Special Dates" section, but that maybe internal. Something else that maybe could be fixed or updated is also the documents page, as of right now, I have no need for the documents page and it is empty, maybe some documents could be uploaded in there? Again this could be for documents from my company and not Purely HR.

**What problems is PurelyHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Some problems that Purely HR is solving for me is that I can see the schedules of other co workers to ensure PTO gets accepted. It makes it easier for me to ensure that our team is being covered when someone uses PTO. Another problem that Purerly HR is solving for me is knowing exactly how much time I have remaining off. It is easy to navigate so if I am in a pinch, I am able to see if I have maybe sick time left to use, or PTO time and submitting it to my manager for his approval could not really be any easier. I also enjoy that once my time either gets approved or rejected, I am notified right away from email, so I can ensure that I am able to get that time off.

**What do you like best about PurelyHR?**

PurelyHR shows me all my time used and time to use, both good and bad, but clear to both my employer and me. It also shows me my tasks working with the new HR Manager easily to know what is expected of me and what I need to do specifically.

**What do you dislike about PurelyHR?**

My HR manager hasn't been able to find a "trigger" feature. For instance, some of my tasks are a counterpart of someone else's tasks to complete first before I can do mine. And to work remotely and efficiently; if there were a way to trigger my job once I knew Employee "X" had finished, that would be more helpful.

**What problems is PurelyHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having to ask my managers directly for time off and trying to keep track of emails, texts or just not having written documentation. It's a way of tracking time off.

**What do you like best about PurelyHR?**

PurelyHR is definitely easy to navigate, and the overall design is pleasing to the eye.  I enjoy that they send me an email a couple of days before a holiday or a day off because it's nice to have a reminder for scheduling purposes.

**What do you dislike about PurelyHR?**

The interface itself is quite clunky.  The boxes in the monthly calendar view are too small to contain all of the folks who are taking off during a common vacation time.  It is difficult to visualize the scale of absences on one particular day as a result.

**What problems is PurelyHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At this time, PurelyHR is helping us centralize and articulate our staff time-off schedules.  It is a useful tool for folks to request time off, however we still use an email method, because emails from PurelyHR are often unreliable and end up in the spam folder

**What do you like best about PurelyHR?**

The user-friendly interface of PurelyHR makes it very easy to navigate between all the portal sections. It is very easy to manage time off, holidays and employee documents. I like the ability to receive notification to my email when the time-off is approved/rejected. Their customer support team is fantastic. Also, the best part is we can only pay for the modules we choose to go with.

**What do you dislike about PurelyHR?**

Setting up a user profile in the backend takes a little time. However, once the initial setup is done, making necessary changes to the user profiles is not very hard.

It eliminates the need to maintain spreadsheets to track each employee's pending time off. The calendar view provides information on how many people are not working on any given day.

**What do you like best about PurelyHR?**

The user interface is delightful to interact with. Very clear and direct. Easy to use with no learning curve. It gets the job done instantly. I'm speaking as an end user, not a manager, so this experience only applies to the end user perspective.

**What do you dislike about PurelyHR?**

Sometimes the login dialog is confusing. Our company uses our own sub-domain at purelyHR, but the login window still asks for a company ID, which is confusing. I think it should be automatically filled. The good news is that purelyHR remembers the preferences, so I don't need to do it often (only on a new computer).

**What problems is PurelyHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Schedule sick leave, vacation time and business traveling time. Check colleagues' schedules and collaborate accordingly. It benefits me to save time when scheduling my work.

**What do you like best about PurelyHR?**

PurelyHR is extremely easy to use and it automates many of our business functions. We use the time-off module and the timesheet module and having the information synchronized saves us time in our payroll processing. I previously used separate programs for these functions, but the PurelyHR platform is a much better tool and a much better value.

**What do you dislike about PurelyHR?**

I have little negative to say about this platform. There are some customizations I would like to see. Also, I don't like that when I add a new employee, I have to go into each existing employee's profile in order for them to be able to see the new employee's calendar. I would prefer if there was some automatic process that allowed everyone to see each other's calendar unless the admin/manager added a restriction (I'd rather have it be an opt-out feature than opt-in).

For me, PurelyHR is helping to solve the never-ending problem of "too much work, not enough time." Since I handle our business's HR/admin, I am always appreciative of multi-functional tools.

**What do you like best about PurelyHR?**

Purely HR has saved us time, money, and stress over the last few years! My staff information is all in one centralized location - timesheets, leave balances, holidays, hiring and termination dates.

**What do you dislike about PurelyHR?**

There are a few minor glitches in PurelyHR when inputting new staff in the system where the PTO time needs to be adjusted, but this is a very minute detail overall.

**What problems is PurelyHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Purely HR is a one-stop location for all of my HR needs. I love not having to print off timesheets anymore or take hours out of my day to review individual emails from each of my 64 staff members. They simply enter their hours in the program, and it's all there and calculated for me. If I need to approve their leave, I can check their balances in a straightforward step. I appreciate the ease of this process and how it has made my job easier.

Upsides would be the opportunity to anonmysely give feedback to bosses and peers. Also help recognise the people who deserves a little extra boost when they have done something good!

I haven't been using Purely HR enough to really figure out a bad thing about it. Might be the fact that you can't just answer 1 question. I enjoy using Purely HR to make others feel worthwhile

PureHR is solving the issue of being scared of saying anything face to face. The possibility to make an anonymous complaint or feedback is worth so much in a more prominent company. Also making sure feedbacks can be read back and taken to the right person is awesome

**What do you like best about PurelyHR?**

As a small business under 50 employees, we wrestled with managing our employees' Time Off Requests from an easy interface for the employees and a great tool for our manager's needs for communicating the approval or denial. The documentation and the reports.  Have referred other companies to them and had received thanks from these referrals for providing a great solution.  We used to use the PTO tool our payroll company provided, but when we went to change payroll services, the changeover was best described as a disaster.  Now we control the process and are not tied to other services.

They offer multiple tools, but for now, we use them for managing all our Vacation and Sick days requests, and managing the employees accural of days earned.

The visuals on PurelyHR make it easy to navigate! PurelyHR has everything in one place and keeps track of my time off for me! This is the most comprehensive, and easy to navigate, system that I have used!

PurelyHR has always worked well for us. It keeps an accurate calendar of days I have been off or requested off and keeps track of my hours remaining for me. I can't think of any improvements!

PurelyHR makes it easy to keep our entire group organized in one system.  It can be managed individually by each staff member and allows multiple people to be allowed to approve time off. It takes away all the paperwork!

**What do you like best about PurelyHR?**

I love how Purely HR is set up. It is easy to navigate and not as complicated to use as some other websites. I like that not only can you choose the date, but it allows you to choose the exact time if you are only taking a partial day. It is easy to see how much time I have and what will be left when taking time off. The calendar is very helpful. I like that I can see past days off and scheduled dates coming up.

**What do you dislike about PurelyHR?**

I have no complaints on my end. I am not sure if there is an app but that would be helpful and being able to set up notifications for supervisors because it seems like if your boss doesn't check often you have to inform or remind them you need your time off approved.

**What problems is PurelyHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I no longer have to fill out a paper form to take a day off and hand it in to my supervisor or use programs that are difficult to navigate just to put in for time off.

**What do you like best about PurelyHR?**

I like the Calendar view of all your time off requests. The calendar view helps me when scheduling myself for upcoming jobs etc. I also like the table that shows you your remaining days for each area (sick, vacation etc.)

**What do you dislike about PurelyHR?**

I think there should be a button that you could click if you haven't had an approval response (once a week starting one week after the initial request) . to send a reminder to the approver so that it does not fall through the cracks

**What problems is PurelyHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using PurelyHR, I would fill out manual paper forms and hand them in. Sometimes, I would not hear back on the request for time off and questioned if I was approved for my time off. Another problem that PurelyHR solves is that I can see how much time I have left for Vacation, Sick days, Personal days, etc., for the rest of the year.

**What do you like best about PurelyHR?**

Using PurelyHR is easy to use. It saves the hassle of trying to get in touch with a supervisor. I can also see how many days I have available for the year at any time.

**What do you dislike about PurelyHR?**

I  haven't experienced a problem with PurelyHR. As long as I have access to the internet, there shouldn't be a problem. In this case, it is nothing a phone call wouldn't solve.

PurelyHR keeps up with my total hours taken off and remaining, so I don't have to. I don't have to bother my supervisor to get this information. Both situations benefit me. I can also see what days are available for me to take off.

**What do you like best about PurelyHR?**

PurelyHR does a great job of laying out very simply and effectively time off management as well as time off requests for employees. It's incredibly easy to make new requests and see when they get approved.

**What do you dislike about PurelyHR?**

I've been using PurelyHR since I joined the company in the early part of September and I haven't seen any downsides yet. As I mentioned above, it's very user friendly and incredibly easy to use.

PurelyHR is streamlining all of our TimeOff requests and approvals. It makes it really simple to see when various employees within your department are going to be off and how to coordinate their schedules with one another.

I love how easy it is to submit time and get it approved! This helps me out alot when it comes to needing time off and my manager can quickly approve or talk to me about it.

**What do you dislike about PurelyHR?**

A little too cluttered, could be simplified to look at. There is a lot of moving parts and I believe that it can be looked at a lot easier if there are separate tabs.

It is making it easy to take time off! I can have my manager quickly look at my time off and let me know if it is approved or not, by sending me an email directly from the site.

What I find most helpful is being able to see birthdays/events coming up and my time off requests all on the same calender! It is simple enough to use with out much computer knowledge but still able to be organized an detailed.

Something that I dislike is that I can not pair with my husband on the same account. If there was a way to fix that that would be nice.

PurelyHR is solving the problem of disorganization, helps us see who will be in the office when for when we plan big events. It helps me see when would be a good time to book off.

Purely HR is super easy to use. I like that I can log on anytime and see my balance. It is nice to be able to see the calendar with everyone else's PTO and send requests directly to my manager.

**What do you dislike about PurelyHR?**

I don't particularly appreciate that I can't see how much PTO rolls over year after year. It makes me not want to leave any vacation days unused at the end of the year.

**What problems is PurelyHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It lets me know how much PTO I have remaining at any given point, so I can plan my year accordingly. I would recommend it for any companies with more than 20 employees.

PurelyHR makes it very easy to both request and view time off; what is allotted and scheduled. It has streamlined the process and as an employee it is fantastic to have a convenient place to handle such tasks with ease

I like that it supports SSO and Outlook calendar integration. It is easy to customize and has taken our organization out of the dark ages, as we used to record all time off requests in a shared Exchange calendar with no built-in approval mechanism.

I wish the Staff dashboard weren't so bare for end users. It would be helpful to have time-off summaries displayed on the mostly empty screen real estate.

It's easy to request time off, to see my benefit balances (vacation days, etc.) - also I can see who else has scheduled time off, which is helpful in my job.

It would be helpful if time off requests flagged the supervisor when there were multiple people asking for the same days.  Currently, if they aren't mentally tracking this the requests get approved without this check/balance.  Then we run into issues of having to reassign work tasks.  I am the project manager and run into this regularly.

As an employee, the application is very straightforward and intuitive. No unnecessary features over-complicate how I use PurelyHR: requesting vacation time and viewing the holiday calendar.

I am not a fan of the vacation balance and how it increments a bit every month. Instead, I would prefer if it showed the remaining yearly balance instead. Currently, if I want to find my remaining yearly balance, I would have to navigate to the time off summary.

Phone support is not available, but it has not been a problem.  This is probably an education issue, but I find it difficult to generate the most basic report of the actual balance using accrual method.  When someone leaves, trying to find out the prorated balance.

Very easy to submit weekly timesheets and visualise and manage vacation and sick time. The paid time off calendar is also an excellent tool for determining when holidays are and keeping track of who is working and who is off on any given day. Also, the email notifications from PurelyHR are another valuable way to keep organised.

**What do you dislike about PurelyHR?**

Sometimes it is tough to visualise the print-out calendar as the data will be on multiple pages; maybe if there was easier to visualise a printable vacation calendar.

Keeping myself as an employee organised when tracking my weekly timesheet and vacation time. These functions I use multiple times weekly are done very efficiently and leave me more time to work elsewhere.

PurelyHR provides a variety of customizable time-off request types, detailed time-off summaries, and staff notification options. Compared to the previous method of leave request tracking, PurelyHR streamlines the process and automates various tasks.

**What do you dislike about PurelyHR?**

Utilizing all the banked time-off entitlements is difficult as PurelyHR only allows you to enter partial day entries in 15 min increments. For example, you cannot enter 9:18 as a time-off start time; you can only enter 9:00, 9:15, 9:30, or 9:45. By the end of the entitlement year, some of the banked time off would be unusable. For example, if you have 7.8 hours of banked time off, 7.5 hours can be requested; however, the 0.3 hours can not be utilized.

PurelyHR benefits the Human Resources team as it streamlines the leave request process and allows users to submit their leave requests to their supervisors for approval without any delays.

User-friendly application.  Reasonably robust and provides most features required and a few extras. Information such as staff lists, including compensation, depts and addresses, can be pulled into excel.

**What do you dislike about PurelyHR?**

A few areas are a bit confusing such as carry forward days.  Sometimes it doesn't apply current vacation days taken to the oldest available days. I like using my phone for the site, although not all features seem available.

Ease of people booking and tracking vacation days, attendance (who is booked off) and what days are remaining.  Easy to add extra things like additional vacation bonus days and paid holidays.

Having instant visibility of the whole team's vacation schedule is a useful advantage of the Purely HR system. Also, reviewing your own allotted days off, what you've already used, and what is remaining is also very helpful.

For what I've used Purely HR for, there are no discernable downsides. It would be nice to have google calendar integrations though, and this may be something it already does, I'm just not aware of it if that's the case.

Very easy to track how much time off I've used, how much is remaining, etc.

At the end of a year, I'm unable to make PTO requests that carry over into the next calendar year. I.e., if I want to request for example December 28-January 3 off, I could only request December 28-31, then on January 1 could make a new request for January 1-3. Kind of annoying that I can't request the whole time off at once.

It makes it easy for me to schedule time off and makes it easy for a manager to track the whole team's time off at once.
