A straightforward, but buggy milling software prone to data dumping **Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Adam G. | Direct Support Professional, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2021 **What do you like best about MillBox?** I like the openness of the software and the feature that allows you to calculate the milling job before you execute. There are multiple times that feature and the warnings about collision or other errors have saved time and material. **What do you dislike about MillBox?** I dislike the many bugs present in millbox that lead to crashes, milling errors, and damage to your milling machine.I also dislike how long the process is to get technical support from Zahn. It is also hard to keep track of all the pucks that you've milled if you're wanting to go back and use them again. Also, perhaps this is just my experience, but it also seems as though mill box will dump data until your hard drive is full and then fail when it doesn't have enough space. **Recommendations to others considering MillBox:** Make sure you have lots of external storage and route all the saved data to it. This software produces a LOT of data, and if you can't delete it then you'll need somewhere for it to go. Also, make sure you have a good organization system for the pucks/whatever you're milling and to name them accordingly in the software, otherwise you could be wasting a lot of material. **What problems is MillBox solving and how is that benefiting you?** Overall, with enough practice, millbox can be an effective option when milling in a dental lab.
