"Great application and the best DB solution"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

His main tool SQL Server Management Studio it’s a great solution for DBA or Technology group, his GUI minimize tasks like backup, restore, change passwords or change security settings. For me as part of a security department it's important to audit a change user privileges with a single click. Another benefit allows us integration with other solutions (like antivirus, CRM, etc) with local solutions and cloud solutions.

For less known users try free version, then you can decided what to buy. Be part of Microsoft solutions it’s a plus, allowing us to do task with server configuration and upgrade without issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

His price could be a pain for IT departments, if you compared against other product or free editions. Sometimes customer support take too much time to solve an issue, it’s annoying that issue only can be solved by patching. You need an experienced Microsoft Partner to deploy large environments, those partners increase licensing and services price allot. As users we need better services with lower prices. "MS SQL"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

Microsoft SQL has been a mainstay in data base query management for many years. It comes as no surprise that most companies with multiple systems will use Microsoft SQL to ease in searching, joining, table management and expect fast response times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

Microsoft SQL Enterprise pricing has grown steadily over the years along with the processing power needed to run all of the different applications it supports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Microsoft SQL "
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

The administration is fairly easy. A SQL Server can be set up quickly and run without much management from a DBA. Some work is needed to configure the instances, but the platform tends to run very smoothly for us. Backups, index maintenance, and security are smooth and easy to set up, and with the GUI, we can make adjustments quickly, while still saving the underlying code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

One of the weaknesses of SQL Server is the lack of tooling in places. That sounds strange as Microsoft has been known for easy to use GUI tools, but a number of features in the last 4-5 versions of SQL Server (Service Broken, replication, Extended Events, and more) haven't received much help in the tooling areas. "A complete reliable and stable RDBMS"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

The license of Microsoft Sql Server allows you to have (in addition to an excellent engine of Relational DB) a complete package of tools that can develop ETL, reporting and multidimensional OLAP structures. Database skills must be very specific and people who need to work seriously on SQL Server must be passionate about data analysis, data manipulation, constant and careful monitoring of performance and Sql Server really makes available all the tools that can to do this.

Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

It requires a knowledge and in-depth technical skills to make complex processes truly performing, especially if we are in very complex infrastructures. Raramenti is faced with problems that someone else has not already addressed and already solved, so (except for very rare cases) it is possible to go back to solving problems by documenting carefully, in cases where there is no documentation you need to contact Microsoft's support.
