there are more features in SQL server as a example create databases, create SQL job , SQL mail server , work with stored procedures etc... its work in windows OS and windows server or virtual Machines. And also there are more facilities in SQL Server backup database, restore databases and we have to implement security features. and also synonyms. when using synonyms we can connect two or more databases together. "The most used DBMS in circulation"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

Truly complete and reliable. Widely used in Microsoft environments and a must for knowledge and learning in the use of databases. The reliability is the result of years of development and continuous improvements by Microsoft. Many companies prefer it to other solutions as it is easily configurable and rich in features for data management. The security and robustness of SQL Server allow for managing a large amount of data while maintaining high-speed performance. By also creating simple maintenance plans, it is possible to schedule various types of activities, such as backup and optimization. Since it is a widely used product, the community is equally vast, which is beneficial because despite the numerous tutorials and training for using this tool, the communities are really numerous. Another positive aspect is the flexibility and interoperability with software of different natures. Security is another very important component, in fact, it is possible to create different server roles to which users can be associated in order to make data operations selective. What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

Microsoft SQL is a comprehensive application and in some aspects it turns out to be very complex. At first glance, an inexperienced user might encounter numerous difficulties in using it. Additionally, the economic aspect should not be underestimated, as solutions that require high performance can be very costly in terms of licenses. From a technical point of view, it presents all the disadvantages of a DBMS, therefore it is not recommended in cases where the application to be developed does not require high levels of complexity, as the use of computational resources could be high. "Long time business run win MSSQL"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

MSSQL it's a true relational database, with enough power to build on it from a small business to a large company, we been using it for our RPG for almost 18 years now Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

We don't like that Microsoft upgrade the product about every 2 years, we've consider this nonsense, We know Microsoft is a business after all but small companies don't have money to spend on MS SQL evry 2 month so it's likely that we stay behind some years from the current version Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable, fast with amazing support from Microsoft. "
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

I have been using Microsoft Sql for almost two years, and it has been an amazing journey. We have faced so many infrastructure issues but integrity of data was never voilated. The best thing about MS sql is its management studio that is very simple to use yet doesn't compromise on performance. One more thing that I liked about this is the support I get from Microsoft whenever we face the problem. Sql server has improved significantly in past couple of years. With Ms sql support on linux has increased its accessibility significantly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

There is no query optimization in sql server like we have in oracle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"OneSotScharp"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

Some of the advantages I have found in using this software are:

Excellent speed for searches based on indexed tables.

Use to be able to connect with software created by me to this environment so that I can perform searches (queries), I connect in VB .NET.

If I want I can also use CLR assemblies to program at low level with the C ++ language.

Possibility of scheduling backups and verifying their success.

Possibility of importing data from other databases or data files! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

I would like there to be simpler methods to check the performance of the queries that are run by the databases I manage, I don't like the console that Microsoft makes available to me.

I would like to see that there was a more efficient Query formatter ... what the environment puts at our disposal is of little use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
