"It works"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

Most Windows based software will use MS SQL. Most software that I setup that uses MS SQL has that as it's exclusive database option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

It's very resource intensive, especially on RAM. There is a bit of a learning curve on the management tools and such, but that's to be expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Microsoft SQL Server"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

It is super user friendly and industry standard. Microsoft markets at least a dozen different editions of Microsoft SQL Server, aimed at different audiences and for workloads ranging from small single-machine applications to large Internet-facing applications with many concurrent users Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

There are a few some stability issues.SQL Server Standard edition includes the core database engine, along with the stand-alone services. It differs from Enterprise edition in that it supports fewer active instances (number of nodes in a cluster) and does not include some high-availability functions such as hot-add memory (allowing memory to be added while the server is still running), and parallel indexes. "I stopped using MySQL after using MSSQL because it is very easy to use."
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

I have used MySQL, and Oracle except for Microsoft SQL and I found the errors displayed by the SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) are very clear compared to other two. I Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

It is very expensive which is the main drawback. MySQL runs on Linux and MacOS but I do not think SQL Servers runs on those OS which is also another disadvantage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Gold Standard in DB software"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

Admittedly, I am a novice SQL user. However, I find it accomplishes everything I need it to. The ability to query scripts against databases is what I like best. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is not pick up and easy to use software. It is not intended in that manner, but it can be very foreign to users with zero experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
