I love how incredibly easy this product is to implement, and it’s even easier to use day to day. With all the accessibility options—like the Chrome extension, the desktop website, and the app—I can stay connected with my candidates no matter where I am.

**What do you dislike about Grayscale?**

I absolutely love everything about this software! It has integrated seamlessly with out ATS and has improved both the quality of communication and response time with top talent.

**What problems is Grayscale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to send emails and reminders to technicians, who can quickly join calls using the grayscale feature. It also lets us talk to candidates in real time, and my entire team can see it. On top of that, I’m able to communicate with candidates every day through the messaging feature, which helps me stay in touch consistently.

I really like the real-time communication with candidates via direct text messaging on Grayscale as it's very efficient and improves engagement. Its easy-to-use interface is a plus for me. The mobile texting feature is a game changer for recruiters on the go, and the Chrome extension integration with Greenhouse simplifies workflows. I appreciate how automation and shared visibility in Grayscale enhance teamwork and consistency.

**What do you dislike about Grayscale?**

Basically, the message character limit feels restrictive for detailed communication. No keyboard shortcut to send messages makes texting a bit slower, I would say. Importing candidate list is time-consuming. Lack of group chat or bulk message features. Lack of ability to receive media, for example, photos and messages.

**What problems is Grayscale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Grayscale for real-time communication via SMS/MMS with candidates. It improves communication efficiency, saves time with instant responses, and enhances candidate engagement through seamless texting. Automation ensures consistent follow-ups without manual effort, boosting overall efficiency for recruitment.

We have been using Grayscale for over and year now - we have a much better response time when texting candidates then we were when we were emailing them.  People have their phones in their hands all the time - they will look at a text when it comes in and may not look at an email until later in the day or even the following day.  Texting works!  I love that you can create templates to use!!

Nothing really - it works very well in regards to getting in touch with candidate quickly

**What do you like best about Grayscale?**

I like Grayscale because it enables ease of communication by sending messages directly to the candidate's mobile. I appreciate the response time since it notifies me when a candidate has responded, allowing me to reply instantly. This saves me valuable time and benefits the candidate by keeping them updated on their application progress. I also love that I can view all prior conversations, ensuring we don't waste time asking for the same documentation. The initial setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Grayscale?**

One minor issue can be the delay sometimes when using with SuccessFactors. I understand this to be an interface issue with our system not necessarily a Grayscale issue. There was one issue where the templates functionality changed where I was unable to edit. But this was soon rectified, and I am now able to edit and apply using a burger menu.

**What do you like best about Grayscale?**

I really appreciate the Google extension of Grayscale which makes it extremely easy to use, whether I am using Greenhouse or on a different page entirely. This feature makes the tool very accessible compared to alternatives like Google Voice, as it simplifies the process of reaching out. The ability to immediately follow up an email sent from Greenhouse with a text message using Grayscale allows me to engage with candidates from multiple angles, which has significantly improved my communication efficiency. I also found the setup process for Grayscale to be straightforward and quick, allowing me and my team to get started without any delays and easily integrate it into our workflow.

**What do you dislike about Grayscale?**

I'm accustomed to hitting 'enter' to send messages or 'shift + enter' to start a new line. In Grayscale, there's no way to send a message without physically clicking the send button with the mouse. I'd prefer having a shortcut to streamline this process.

I appreciate how it lets you set up automations, which really takes the guesswork out of following up with candidates. Another feature I value is that my colleagues can see my conversations and step in to contribute when necessary. Grayscale has consistently helped enhance teamwork, especially when it comes to communicating with candidates.

**What do you dislike about Grayscale?**

I would appreciate a simpler method for adding candidate lists. Currently, we have to prepare the list separately in Excel, and it needs to be formatted very precisely. This process can become quite time-consuming, especially when dealing with more than 100 candidates.

Thanks to Grayscale, I no longer have to remember to follow up with candidates about specific tasks, such as scheduling interviews or completing end-of-program surveys. This allows me to focus my time and energy on other important areas.

Templates are great and very easy to set up/edit. You can set up scheduled messages for candidates, which helps a great deal, and you can download a phone app that makes keeping in touch with Candidates very easy!

I did research before requesting Grayscale for our team and my boss was on the same page and  I am SO glad we were able to get it. We have it integrated with Greenhouse and we have only had it a few hours. I have already texted back and forth with candidates and set up automations as well as planned bulk texts. The platform is so intuitive and the available support is top notch. I can't wait to see what else we can do the further we get into the platform, but the startup has been seamless.

Not only is Grayscale, extremely user-friendly it integrates nicely with our ATS and automations are very simple to set up. Grayscale is the most effective and user-friendly option to contact candidates for my recruitment positions. With the shift from using voicemail, the ability to reach out to candidates by text without sharing my number is a crucial part of my job. Grayscale allows me to reach candidates quickly and has increased my response rate.

If I have to provide something, it would be nice to add a feature that allows to change a phone number after a contact has been saved in the system.

Ease of use. Easy plug in for Green House applicant tracking system and great partnership. Automation are easy to setup and function great. Makes communicating with applicants very easy. Saves my team a lot of time and improves efficient. Expanison with WhatsApp is a great feature to connect with world wide candidtes in our interview process. The organization is always happy to help resolve any issues as well. The integration setup was super easy as well, the rep did a great job in helping us out prior. My team uses this product everday to interact with our candidates 24/7. Overall have a super positive experience with Grayscale and will continue to use this platform.

**What do you dislike about Grayscale?**

I'm not sure if it's a feature I have missed, but the ability to add in emoji's to a conversation would be great. Otherwise I honestly dont' have any complaints about the platform.

**What problems is Grayscale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I had currently mentioned their build out of WhatsApp communication is huge for us. Also their build out of new data centers. Grayscale continues to run smoothly for us. It's a great too for our recruiters to use to manage the candidate experience. It's automation features are huge for us all. I don't really have many complaints about the software.  It's great that the web browser version works super well too. I am ofter using the web browser feature to get a better overall look of all my communications as opposed to the pop up extension.

It is becoming more common that candidate's are not checking their emails, but always have their phones with them. I have had great success sending texts to candidates and getting responses- all without having to use my personal phone number! Grayscale is easy to use and has some cool features, like setting up reminders to "nudge" people who have not yet responded to a message.

**What do you dislike about Grayscale?**

Sometimes it can be a little bit buggy- Grayscale logs me out quite regularly and tries to autopopulate the wrong information into a candidate's profile when it has access to their information through SmartRecruiters.

**What problems is Grayscale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Younger generations of candidates are not good about checking their emails and many of them will not answer a phone call from a number they do not know. Grayscale allows me to send them a quick text to let them know who I am and why I'm contacting them- and I usually get a prompt response!

I don't have to use my personal phone to text a candidate and they are usually more responsive to texts than they are to an email. Emails tend to get lost and not answered.

i have to keep logging in. If I am logged into my ATS, I would prefer it keep me logged into Grayscale. Having to reenter my credentials all day long can get annoying.

If I have a quick question for a candidate I can text them before I schedule them. Also if I am running late to an interview, I can text to let them know so they know I am still on my prior screen vs wondering what happened.

**What do you like best about Grayscale?**

What I most appreciate about Grayscale is how user freindly the interface is. As a recuiter, texting is often one of the fastest and most reliable ways of getting ahold of potential candidates and I appreciate utilizing Grayscale as a resource. It also minimizes the need to spend countles hours on the phone. I utilize the platform daily in my work and would reccomend it for anyone who utilizes texting as a primary means of communication. I also appreciate the platforms ability to be intergrated with other programs like Greenhouse and how easy it is to inmplement it in my daily routine. 

Fortunatley, I have not needed to contact customer support for anything, but I do get regular emails from the team and keep them in the back of my mind.

**What do you dislike about Grayscale?**

One thing I do not like is the message quality feature. Often times I have to text candidates my email for them to send me documents and that little pop-up can be annoying sometimes. To pivot off that, I would also like to be able to recieve images on my text line.

Grayscale is a great tool for passive and active candidate funnels daily. Quick texts, snippets, and automation make it easier to connect. Away messages are effective for PTO/coverage/out of office needs. It is an easy add-on to your ATS! Grayscale beats the competition by far!

Texting pools can be very large which can make it hard to follow up with responses. It is best to limit your campaigns to make them more manageable.

I will fully admit to being skeptical about the value of a text messaging platform...that is, until I started using it. For warm applicants, it has been fantastic. Candidates who are already engaged in the recruitment process have been orders of magnitude more likely to respond to text than email. I have found  myself using it with every role I work on. The chrome extension for individual contacts was incredibly easy to install and set up, and it does a fantastic job of parsing information from my ATS system. I love the ability to schedule bulk messages, and it's incredibly easy to create lists of candidates directly from my ATS exports.

**What do you dislike about Grayscale?**

I would love to see a more robust candidate management system - the ability to create and modify groups on the fly, add multiple tags, etc. This would make creating new lists for bulk messaging significantly easier.

Meeting people where they are and getting responses to outbound communication is a challenge. Email seems ineffective, and we all screen calls from unknown numbers. Text messaging and giving candidates the ability to respond on their time has been game changing for me! People are so much more engaged!

I love that there is an extension for my ATS which it makes it easy and quick to contact candidates. I also have it up in my browser so I can see all communication. I love the scheduling feature as well as the templates, which my entire team uses so it creats unifomity. As a manager, I'm able to see the teams texts so this is helpful for quality control. We also use teh automoated text to go out to candidates as they are moves through the process. This lets our candidates know where they are in the process and they feeled cared for, lots of touch points!

We need emojies, that's it! Everything is great!

In todays market, canidate's are not as responsive about checking emails, however they are fast at responding to texts.  With Grayscale I was able to get quick responses from canidates all without having to use my personal phone number.  I was able to use quick templates that I could copy and paste from, or use the nudge feature to remind a canidate that hello, I am still waiting on a response from you.

Lol- Sometimes the AI app thinks it is smarter than you are and will auto populate the wrong information into a canidates profile, but that has only happened a few times.  I really have no complaints here.

I love the ease of contacting candidates via text and the fact that it changes my area code based on the area code of the person I am texting. It's also easy to send out bulk messages, and the nudge tool is perfect for follow-up.

I recently started using the templates tool as well - which has made it so much easier when I'm sending the same messages to multiple candidates.

I wish there was spell check. I find that I'm typing messages and sending them so quickly, in between calls,  and don't realize until after the fact that I misspelled a word. I'd love to catch it beforehand - if grayscale had the the ability to underline a misspelled word.

We used to call or email candidates to set up interviews - if they didn't answer, we  play phone tag throughout the day. Grayscale allows me to message them when I'm available and they can respond more quickly when they are available, than they would via email. I also love the scheduled message feature, as it allows me to set up a message to be sent at night if I'm reviewing messages but doesn't send them the text until the next morning.

Being able to text a candidate on my computer creates such an effecient workflow! Let's face it, most people do not check their personal email everyday day but they will always see their text. We try to move quickly in recruiting and texting, especially with preset templates, has proven to be the most effecient. I love that everyone on the team is in one thread but you can see who is texting. We are integrated with Greenhouse our ATS and every text shows in the activity feed which is very useful for documentation.

My only wishlist items would be to have read receipts, that would be amazing!!

Candidates never answer the phone if they do not know you are calling. Responses to emails are usually delayed. Texting is the fastest way to get in contact with a candidate.

Greyscale is great for reaching candidates on the go. Many folks dont check their emails often or screen their calls so it can be quite a bit of cat and mouse trying to reach them. Greyscale allows us to reach them almost instantaneously. I use it at least 20x a day. The templates are clutch. Works almost seamlessly with our ATS.

Sometimes it can glitch out when moving between candidates and not update so you end up texting the wrong person. And every now and again, it wont populate all the info from our ATS.

Grayscale is a very uselful communiction tool. The text feature works great for me. It allows me to keep in touch with all of my contacts in an easy manner. Most people seem more apt to respond to a text message versus a phone call, voicemail or even an email.  This software makes it easy to send a text and to receive a response to the sent text messages. It's an easy to use software, and it is user friendly thus far. The prompts are easy to follow within the software. I would recommend this product to others.

**What do you like best about Grayscale?**

I like Grayscale because of how easily and seamlessly it integrates with my ATS: Greenhouse.

**What do you dislike about Grayscale?**

I don't like that the notifications are not obvious.

**What problems is Grayscale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Grayscale makes it easier to communicate quickly with candidates for interview scheduling and pre-employment tasks.
