"Best version control language"
What do you like best about Git?

I like that this language is so super duper easy to learn and writing few got commands can very easily help in collaboration of code in big projects Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Git?

I dislike that sometimes git gets down and collaboration becomes a bit difficult. The downtime should be reduced of this application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Incredible Version Control System"
What do you like best about Git?

The best thing about Git is it allows users to create branches. Branches are separate version of the main repository that comes in need when we do not make changes on the main repository directly that might lead to failure of production code. Hence, we make changes/update the code in Branch and test it first and then merge it with master branch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Git?

Git is a phenomenal tool to manage versions. Hence, i do not find anything to dislike about it.It has helped me maintaining code in my organisation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Just Use Git"
What do you like best about Git?

Very powerful distributed version control. Everyone uses it, so you have your choice of tools and workflows. It's truly distributed, so it's very easy to have local, self hosted, and various cloud hosted instances of your code. Pretty trivial to migrate your code from GitHub to Bitbucket or whatever. Great tools for viewing graphs and commit history and changes. Directly integrated with great tools like VS Code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Git?

The power comes at a bit of a cost: There are a LOT of commands and options, and it can be hard to get started with the command line interface. That said, there are a lot of tools to make it easier and to do things with a GUI. Resolving merge conflicts is a pain without tooling. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best Version Controller In the World."
What do you like best about Git?

This is the most useful software for the Developers community to version or manage their code with a timeline. in this Internet world, this is the best software that I saw such very easy to implement and use any beginner coder can also learn this very easily. It has so many commands to use and it will help in contacting GitHub directly like pull requests and Issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Git?

The main thing I did not like in this it will not consider the same user if he is using VPN like normally system user. I have this problem a few days back when I have started using VPN for my development and I think it will be good to add verified Sign also without any third-party software usage Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best technology for source control"
What do you like best about Git?

Ability to preserve and see the detailed history of changes, to the level of a single character. Ability to restore any file from any point in time. Ability to see who made which change in a multi-user environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Git?

Very steep learning curve. To fully use Git, you need to understand several non-intuitive concepts (in my opinion). There are many different Git clients - takes time to learn them and find the one that suits your needs the best. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Git and developer software"
What do you like best about Git?

Git came to save the development teams from chaos and overwriting and to provide functionalities for the administration of source code that other similar tools do not achieve Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Git?

The handling of the messages is deficient, they should be more explanatory Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Git a efficient version control system"
What do you like best about Git?

It is very useful for source code management for small to very large complex projects allowing tacking source code and benefit of working multiple developers at same time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Git?

The technical excellence is required on CLI and understand the error codes. Installation and its dependencies like java. It is harder and poor responsive while working in windows version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Git?

Best in synchronization. You just need to push the data from git bash then it will sync your code with in sec. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Git?

The steps to sync any folder are very complex. When we open git bash then we have to write lots of commands to push or commit to the repository. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best teamwork place and versioned controlling."
What do you like best about Git?

The most helpful thing about git is it is very useful for teamwork like building projects or business companies and also it will help us to track which person is doing weird things like spamming the commits or changing the code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Git?

The disadvantages in git are not there but some minor faults are it will depend on the user interface but not users while we are committing the code if the same user does that it will consider them as a dupe separate users and it will not access the both GPA digital signature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Important tool for developers"
What do you like best about Git?

For a developer, it is a mandatory tool, and it is required in every company. It is a distributed system. The best thing about Git is its version control system, ability to create branches and merge changes in it. Provides a complete history of code changes and the name of the user who changes it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Git?

Sometimes Git can be complex and when it comes to pull and push the code. For a new developer, he'll face extreme disappointment while using Git. Merging code from CLI can be a little tricky. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
